We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. Logan gave me a quote, saying the timing could take anywhere from half hour to an hour due to different pieces needing to be removed to access the bulb area. We scheduled an appointment for the following day to get the bulbs replaced. The next day, Eric (manager) helped me get situated. With the service ending up being under a half hour of labor, he ended up reducing the cost of the service due to it being quicker than expected (which was honorable). You don't always see that kind of honesty in the auto service nowadays and it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back here and we're pleased with the service provided!

As I generally try my best to stay away from the dealership, I took to Google and Yelp reviews to find a reputable shop to perform maintenance on my vehicle. My search brought me to Import Auto Experts. Making the appointment was a strange experience. I spoke with someone named Jeannie who was very pleasant on the phone. I informed her that I wanted to schedule an oil/filter change and a battery replacement. She scheduled me and attempted to end the call (in a very professional way), but she never asked for the year/make/model of my vehicle which I thought was weird, so I spoke up and asked, as I wanted to ensure the technicians were using the parts that that I requested. After I asked, she sounded surprised at herself for not asking. No big deal at all. Within a couple hours, she called me back and asked which battery I wanted to purchase. She provided prices, but no information on the battery specifications, so I had to specifically ask. Again, not a huge deal, but I'm used to this information being given up front. Accessing the shop was easy, and there was lots of parking. Their waiting area is nothing special, but it was clean and quiet. I was the only person in the waiting area, so it was fine. If there were more than a few people in there, I don't think I'd want to sit there. Too cramped. After I checked in, I gave my keys, and they said they'd let me know when it was ready. I thought it was strange because they did not have me sign a quote before beginning the work. I thought this was required by law, but perhaps it was a state law and not applicable in Arizona. Also, if something regarding prices changes after the vehicle is in the possession of the shop, I thought they had to contact the customer to let them know of the additional costs before starting the work. Anyway, I basically went in without actually knowing the exact price for the quoted work other than the battery and battery replacement - which turned out that the quoted price I received for the battery was $130.99 and my paid invoice says that I paid $143.99. I personally don't care that much about $13, but if some people might, so that's why I'm mentioning it. I didn't speak up about it at the time as they wanted me to pay before I even saw the invoice. It's mostly on me for paying without asking to see the invoice before tapping my card. The bigger disappointments were discovered when I got home. After arriving at home, when I went to gather my things, I noticed that my seat was a little dirty. Nothing that couldn't be cleaned up with a damp towel. Then I noticed there was a dark liquid substance on my door handle. I'm thinking either the technicians hands were dirty, or perhaps the silver foil was removed from the bottle of oil near my vehicle and it splashed on it as it wasn't that much. These weren't big issues as I easily was able to clean it up myself, but the bottom line is there is clearly some lack of processes that either aren't being followed or don't exist at all. I don't take my car in for maintenance/repairs for it to have to clean up after them. Overall, the prices for my oil change and the battery swap were fair, and the work was done in a timely manner. I'll probably go back and give this place one more chance. But if the end experience is the same, I'll probably try to find another shop.

I sat and looked at my phnoe for a little bit until the battery almost died (it was alrfeady low when I got there). They had charging cords on the coffee table with adapters for every phone. I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.

Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.

After inspection, was sent a comprehensive evaluation AND was taken through all the points by Brian (Bryan?), and shown/told that car had a coolant leak that was likely going to result in having a $5000+ repair sooner than later. Some of the BEST $ I ever spent! I ALWAYS suggest pre-purchase inspection of ANY used car, irrespective of ANY dealership saying "we thoroughly inspect all of our vehicles."
