A few years ago I was visiting Seattle and my car was broken into in the middle of the night. Someone took a large rock, smashed the back window, and made off with a few paltry items. I was upset, and needed to be able to drive home to Vancouver that day. Collision 1 took care of me - vacuumed up all the glass, cleaned up the car, and carefully fastened and taped plastic over the empty window so I could make it back to Vancouver. All for free! Fast forward a few years, and our car was hit from behind and the bumper was a mess. I knew I would go back to Collision 1, because they had been so kind to me before and done such an excellent job. They went above and beyond, finding us a beautiful used bumper, cleaning the car, working with our insurance, and making it look fresh and new again. Really it's true: "it's like it never happened." What they ended up billing insurance was actually LESS than the quote. How about that. (Though of course my deductible was still the same.) They remembered me personally with every interaction, as if I was the only person that they served. The made the rental & insurance processes really easy too (they partner with enterprise up the street a lot). It did take a while, but turns out some of that was my insurance company's fault (they had a paperwork error), but I had a loaner and live very closeby so it was no problem at all for me to wait. My wiper squiters weren't working after the repair, but I just pulled in unannounced and they fixed it right up in 2 minutes (just a pinched tube). I did notice a funky gear shift thing going on when I pulled out, but they were willing to bring it to Mazda down the street themselves to take a look (they don't do mechanical work),just in case their work might have slightly affected some of the gears. They even had staff that helped me out to make the rental transition smoother -- above & beyond! Christian and the whole team were really super. I hit a column in a parking garage and did some damage to my Subaru. I put off getting it fixed because I'm new to Seattle, don't know anything about cars, and was worried about finding someone I could trust. My insurance company referred me to these guys and they did great. They were really friendly, I didn't have to do any of the administration with my insurance company, and they got it back to me in just a few days looking flawless. I got this done a few months ago, but even now, I still feel a little bit happy every time I see my good-as-new car. What could have been a hassle was a total breeze. They were awesome. read more

LIARS and CROOKS! I just found out that they did not replace my car's bumper's impact absorbing Styrofoam panel like they said they would. The part is on my invoice, billed for $79.36, but nowhere on my car. I'm sick of this shop and their shoddy work. Time to take this up with my insurance company who got billed for the job. I was treated so poorly at Roosevelt Auto Body. The (bald) man at the front desk who was running an estimate on the damage to my car had an attitude towards me, talked down to me and was extremely rude when I asked him a simple question about what process would be used to fix my car. I cannot believe anyone would treat another person this way, especially in a business to a potential customer. Simply unacceptable. read more

Do not go to this auto repair shop! They are crooks. I went there after a accident where I was not at fault and they acted so nice initially and when I picked my car up everything looked fine, After a few months the bumper started peeling off and I then found out they put a refurbished bumper on my new car! It was in the small small print of the contract so please DO NOT GO! read more

Someone rear-ended me and left a bit more than a love tap, so I went to Collision 1 to get an estimate. I had gone there before and remember it being pretty quick and easy. They were able to get me in near the end of their day without an appointment and did a quick and easy estimate. Even though they were booked through the holidays, I was able to bring my car in for repairs that only took half a day. I worked mainly with Christian and he was super friendly and took great care of my car. I only had a small repair, so I'm not sure how they handle big damages, but I had a good experience with them and would recommend them to others. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. Came in with a claim my insurance agent setup and was ignored for 10 mins. They only had one customer that was waiting for her car. Then came the best part, the estimate. The guy writing up the estimate never said a word to me except that my claim was setup wrong. Besides that, he never said a word. Just handed me the estimate and that was it. It really felt like the guy didn't like dealing with minorities, IMO. read more

An absolute debacle from beginning to a long, tumultuous ending!!! Our Tahoe had sustained left front end damage in an accident . The 1st time we were scheduled to pick up our car one of their techs scraped the fender so the process was delayed making it necessary for them to rent us a vehicle. The SECOND time we were scheduled to pick up our car they had forgotten to attach some tie-rod so they had to rent us a car for a second time. Eventually we received the vehicle, only to take it home and notice the hood was about 1/2 inch too high from the quarter panels. ANOTHER TRIP back to the shop. They did fix this. After having the hood fixed I took the car up to Whistler for a week long ski trip. When I shifted the car into 4-wheel drive the car shuddered and pulled harshly to the left and made a loud whining grinding noise in the left front end. This was severe enough to make me pull over to the side of the road in blizzard conditions and check to see if I had a blow out. No blow out. I was not able to use 4-wheel drive for the duration of the trip I took the car back to Roosevelt Auto Body after the trip for examination. They discovered a read out in the computer that indicated a computer malfunction regarding shifting in and out of 4-wheel drive. Not able to repair this issue they referred the car to Bill Pierre Chevrolet in Lake City. Bill Pierre repaired the problem that Roosevelt Auto Body had discovered ( to the tune of $500 plus ), but never repaired the pulling to the left, vibration, or noise issues. Roosevelt Auto Body was satisfied that the car had been repaired and called me to pick up the car. I returned rental car, picked up Tahoe from Roosevelt, shifted into 4 wheel drive and nothing was fixed. I took Christian for a test drive to demonstrate where he admitted there was still a problem!!! He suggested I take the car to Bill Pierre myself ( not my job ) . I did so at this point as I didn't trust their ability to convey information properly. Bill Pierre proceeded to attempt to school me on how to drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle and insist there "WASN'T A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR!" I took the car to Union Bay Auto where I received permission from Roosevelt for them to look into the car. Union Bay inspected the differential, replaced a gasket, and lo and behold, after putting the differential back together, discovered that ROOSEVELT AUTO BODY HAD INSTALLED A NEW TIRE ON THE LEFT FRONT END THAT WAS TOO SMALL!!!!! No one along the line of inquiries had discovered the major error that Roosevelt had made. Error number 3 or 4 in a long line of mistakes. Roosevelt was gracious enough to buy us 4 new tires of the proper size though they had wanted to only replace one. We insisted they get us all new tires to finish this terrible experience in the hopes that we would not have to see them again. read more

I brought my car in needing a replacement rear bumper cover (what looks like the bumper to you or me) from a parking lot accident and was happy that the quote was less than my $1k deductible so I'm paying out of pocket. They got the part quickly, the work was done as scheduled, they communicated throughout the process, and it looks like new. I was concerned about the comments from prior reviewers, however they guarantee their work for as long as I own the car so I'm not at all concerned. Great service, great price, great job. read more

Roosevelt wanted almost 3 times what the repair ended up costing me elsewhere! Their estimate was almost $3000 to repair a minor set of scratches and indentations. I asked if there was a less "perfect" method for repair and was told that this $3K route, full of labor and replacement parts, was the only option. Within a few days, I found another shop that has since made the repair for $1000, and no replacement parts. The car looks brand new, as if just out of the showroom. Years ago, Roosevelt was always the low bid and delivered good quality. I went there expecting the same. Not anymore. I'll never go back. read more

Avoid these guys. Unethical. Gave us a quote. Had them do the work. Then while the car was in the shop, they call and tell us it's going to be a little more expensive than they thought. Since we didn't have time to deal with the delay and needed the car back on time, we approved it and paid the extra charge. Then, after we brought the car home, we realized only one of the two body panels was repaired. So not only was the repair more expensive than estimated, it was only 1/2 complete. So then today we confronted the manager. Instead of recognizing their mistake, he was rude and defensive. He blamed the problem on an employee that he said he fired. No offer was made to make us whole and we left in disgust. We did tell him we'd be putting up a Yelp review and he said we were "blackmailing" him and he'd just write a response discrediting us. The guy didn't seem to understand that if he was polite and offered a solution (that probably would have been minimal cost to his shop) he could have avoided this review and the poor word of mouth we are going to spread for years about Roosevelt auto body. read more

Horrible customer service. I went there to get my car fixed per usaa. They quoted me a week to fix my bumper. When I called them the day my car was supposed to be fixed they said that they were running behind schedule and the car wouldn't be done until after the xmas holiday. Notice that I had to call them. They never called me to tell me that they were running late. When I tried to confirm with them again when the car would be ready, they cut me off, talked over me, then hung up on me. When I finally picked up the car, the work was incomplete and was missing the plastic front bra. Also they had pulled my seat cover over the chair and left it like that. I have a seat cover bc I don't want the seats to get dirty, that includes some mechanics dirty butt. They also messed up all of my radio stations and my clock. Do you think they apologized for any of this? No. Don't go here. Go to stetner auto body. read more

Moving truck hit our car. Car was sent to this shop and was estimated to be repaired in two weeks. It has been over a month and a half and we still haven't received my car back. They kept postponing the estimate on the day it was due and now they said one more week. Really not a place to go if you need your car on time. read more

I'm an actual car enthusiast that cares about what their car looks like. I previously had my 05 honda civic repaired here after it was hit by a drunk driver. Not only did the paint not match, it was put on very thin only requiring a small chip to expose the raw bumper. My body pieces also had very poor alignment and there were miscelanious gaps from poor hood alignment. Poor painting, poor body work, good customer service. I can say that the repaired area was very visible to a keen eye. read more

I have been taking cars here for various scrapes and scuffs for a few years now. I am always very impressed with their customer service and communication. This time, my car was hit while parked on the street and my back bumper had to be replaced. They got me in for a quote very quickly, and then when it came time to do the actual work they got it done in less time than they originally estimated. Drew and everyone else I had contact with was beyond professional and nice. My car came out looking perfect and they washed and vacuumed it for me to boot. On a scale of 1 to 10 for customer service, these guys turn it up to 11! read more

Terrible service. For a small dent on my door, I was told it would be done and ready to go in 7 business days. On the 7th day, a Tuesday, I called to check when I should come in, (note I never heard from them during those 7 days) only to find out they pushed the date to Friday due to missing parts. I then get a call on Thursday saying they just got the parts in and won't have my car ready until the following Tuesday. I call back on Tuesday to find out they got wrong parts and need one more day to finish the job. 3 weeks with no car for a small dent that should have been fixed in 7 days. What bothered me the most was that I had to call in instead of getting updates ahead of time. I am very patient and usually let such things slide, but the fact that they didn't take full responsibility, nor did they offer compensation for the time exceeding their estimate reflects negatively on their loyalty to their customers. read more

I wish there was an option for negative stars. This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had with my car. They had no idea who I was when I showed up to get an estimate, per their request. They told me it would take 30 minutes and kept me waiting an hour. They were supposed to have arranged a rental car and didn't. When the car was finished they told me that I could come get it at 4:30. I got there at 4:35, and they kept me waiting until after 5:00. When I asked about the wait, the person I talked to just ignored me. I then noticed that the plastic stripe thing that goes down the side of the car (to keep another car from dinging your door) was totally scratched up. They had completely mangled it while "repairing" my car. When I pointed it out, the guy just blew it off and said that they would order a replacement part for me. No apology or anything for the inconvenience. When I got home I looked in the back of the car (it's a Subaru wagon) and someone had sat in the back and collapsed the spare tire compartment. I am beyond furious with this place and unless they do some serious kissing up, I will tell everyone I know how horrible the service was. read more
