Roosters Newark is the best place in town for cold beer and great food. Usually busy and great for watching sports.

Try to go here every year when we are in town for the Mopar Nationals. Good food and service. Boneless chicken pieces were of good size and tender. Waitresses were very nice also. read more

Ordered 20 wings with honey bbq, potato skins and deep fried mushrooms on line. NP and then when I got them home they were hot wings. Per the label I called and asked for a manager. Chaz asked me to bring them back and he would replace them - did not mention anything about comp for inconvenience. I asked what are you going to do for the inconveniences? "I am more than happy to comp you for the wings." His idea of comp was a $10 gift certificate. Whenever a manager says they going to comp something it is full $. He asked me if I wanted the hot wings backs after he opened the box to verify that I was not lying. Too many other places in the area to choose from to be messing around with a restaurant mgr who thinks he is slick. The Pub in Granville has great wings and probably the best burger in Licking county and they appreciate my business. Going to give this comp to one of my sons. read more

Went with my son today very busy football Sunday We ordered our food but took like 30 minutes to get it. The manager came and apologized and insisted that our meal was on them and our waitress even refused to take a tip. Staff was as friendly as could be food was very good. Very nice that the staff and management made the attempt to keep a happy customer. I never complained or said anything about the delay in food they came to me. read more

This place gets crazy busy on the weekends or during big sporting events, so service is slooooow. The beer selection is terrible unless you're a redneck (no offense to rednecks, no hating!). But, the wings are pretty fantastic. I love that you can combine the sauces together. Price isn't bad. Much better than BWs. read more

Rooster's is an average bar grill offering a good spot for a budweiser, wings and and sports. In addition to the wings, I enjoy the subs and dumpster fries. For the area though, Buffalo Wild Wings offers a better table gating experience and Leghorn's offers better food, thus the 3 star rating. Not a bad place to pop in for a cold one and some wings though if you are at n 21st. read more

Pretty good food at decent price. If you sit at the bar and you are a woman, you will get service last because the girls there know they get tips for being flirty with the men. The bartender added someone else's drink to my bill thinking I was drunk and wouldn't notice. When I told her that it was the man beside me that ordered it, drank it and already paid for it, she said, " I don't know exactly what you ordered". But she insisted I pay for it. Come to find out she is a manager. Another woman at the bar told me that they "accidently" charge her for extra things every time she comes there. Casual bar-like atmosphere makes for a great place for eating with family and friends. Prices are so reasonable you can get several things to try. I love the subs. Proportionate with ingredients and toasted to perfection. Get a side of fried pickles and an ice tea or beer and its a tasty dinner! The wait staff is pleasant and right on track with drink refills. The staff are Awesome! I manage an Assisted Living nearby and our residents wanted Roosters for lunch. We had over 15 orders to go each paying separately. The made sure each order had there name on each bag making it super easy for us when arrive home. The staff couldn't have been more efficient and nice. We got everything we ordered and Right!! This is your standard wing joint. Pizzas and other foods are just OK. Wings are the real winner here. It can get a little rowdy later in the evening and quite loud so it's a gamble taking little ones as they might be subjected to adult conversations. It is a bar after all. The service is always good but I have had a few issues with an older woman who works there. I believe her to be an owner, perhaps? I've over heard her talking badly about servers and she isn't very polite. She seems to always have a scowl on her face. Maybe it's due to the plastic surgery/botox she's had done? They have a discounted appetizer every Tuesday for $1.07 that usually consist of fries, fried mushrooms, onion rings, etc. It's a fun place to go with friends for drinks. read more

this is usually my go to spot, however that changed after tonight. we walked in and weren't greeted once, they were pretty busy so we walked around to see if there was anything open, there wasn't so we back and sat down at the front. we were ignored the whole time, more people came in and they started taking names. everyone working (including the hostesses) saw us sitting and looking and ignored us. we went to shades instead and was instantly taken care of. everyone there was in their own world and seemed like they only care about the guys that come in before anyone else. read more

Roosters is great, especially this location. The food has always been excellent and the staff is always pleasant. Plenty of seating so the wait time is minimal. Really can't go wrong with this place. Very poor service. Maybe it's just the Sunday staff, but once I sat at the bar for 1 hour and not one waitress or waiter took my order or even asked what I wanted to drink. Then again today I stood in the area for 15 minutes and was not seated. read more

It amazes me how especially this day and age, when we are inundated places to eat the are so similar, that when a place falls so short of the mark in good food and service how they don't seem to care. This roosters location is awful. Anyone who wants good sings and fast friendly service......go to Buffalo Wild Wings in heath. The selection of different sauces is a joke, and as I found out, if you get anything less intense than a med heat, the sauce is butter based. I ordered mild, I wanted the flavor not the heat. Instead what I got was 10 boneless wings swimming and I mean swimming in butter. The mild flavor was so mild in fact it had disappeared altogether. When leaving to pay upfront the beauty queen they had standing up front directed us to go sit back at our table as she was unable to run a credit card. When the issue of the weak sauce was bright up I was offered a hotter sauce if I wanted a sauce. That was all. I was basically told that's how it comes deal with it you mild sauce wanting baby. Worst experience at a sports bar type rest. Wouldnt go back if I owned the place. read more
