I did not even know that this place existed!(Tough to get out with kids). It was recommended, which how I usually try somewhere different. It is a great place for a drink, or date night, or even a small group. They have outdoor seating, weather permitting(obviously). You can sit bye the bar and enjoy the company of the bartenders on duty. The menu is not huge, which I always like because it makes deciding easier. They have specials, and a great drink selection. The drinks were good (pickle martini was great, limoncello was a little too sweet), but the service was awful. My friend and I were the only people at the bar when we sat down (besides employees who were drinking) and the bartender seemed annoyed - like we were bothering him when we asked if we could order drinks. We had empty drinks but felt like we had to interrupt him to ask if we could order another one. There was nobody at the bar! Sound Italian-influenced restaurant with a young vibe, snug dining area, and a convivial but noisy ambiance. The place was packed - maybe due to Restaurant Week - but it's a pretty small place anyway. Nevertheless, the food was fairly good: We shared an antipasti platter of sopressata, prosciutto, assorted olives, and a nice fat burrata; and a double order of the oysters (6 per order) with a mignonette comprising diced apples (which tasted fine but the texture of the crisp apples unfortunately clashed with the silky brininess of the oysters). I had their squid ink pasta with crab meat which was quite tasty, but again a quibble in that the pasta had cooled quite a bit by the time it was served and was clumping together. One of my colleagues had their unusual vegan cauliflower "steak" and I got a taste of it and was pleasantly surprised how good the cauliflower was (it had a nice sear on it and at first glance, it looked just like seared scallops!). My other colleague had their grilled whole branzino and it looked very good and well-prepared. Desserts were blessedly satisfying - we shared the tiramisu, a chocolate torta, and the best of all: their Belgian waffle, crispy-tender, drizzled with chocolate sauce, and topped with a rich vanilla ice cream. Would not even sit down when all is available for a party if two are tables that Practically sitting with the tables on either side of you. I would have to have squeeze by on either side just to get to my seat. Not having it! Could be a wonderful restaurant, and have great food, but I would never know, because this is not how I do dinner. Of all the great restaurants in Providence, this is by far one of my favorites. I have been many times and have never been disappointed. I like that the menu changes slightly, but the quality is always excellent. The eggplant appetizer, brussel sprout salad, wedge salad, fried dough are all quite tasty. I have never been to this restaurant before. I was going to PPAC to see Jesus Christ Superstar and it was conveniently located to the theater. Upon arrival was seated at an oval table in the front of the restaurant. I am short and it was quite uncomfortable, as the table was too high for the bench seat. I grabbed a chair from the side of the restaurant, and was much more comfortable. Started with a charcuterie board, and it was delicious. Had a Tommy pickle martini and it was made perfectly. I was quite surprised that what looked like an olive was really a pickled tomato. It gets gives a unique and yummy taste to the Martini. We tried the complimentary bread and oil and found the oil too salty. Next I had a delicious tagliatelle Bolognese. Mine was great, however a friend ordered the same and hers was very salty. Our waitress didn't have on a mask and this made me uncomfortable. When asked if she should have a mask on, she responded, no. Bathroom had an overflowing trash can. Entrance door brought the cold in quickly. They had a curtain up to help block the cold, but it was still pretty cold in the restaurant. A great Italian restaurant tucked in a small street in providence with complimentary parking! THe place is romantic with great lighting making it a perfect first date type of place. The eggplant dip with crostini appetizer was loaded with flavor accompanied by a side of burrata. I mean who doesn't like burrata?! So good. For entrees, we had the half roasted local chicken and gnocchi and a side of broccoli rabe. What a beautiful and cool restaurant. The space is just beautifully designed, big round booths perfect for a group, plus regular tables and a nice bar area. The bar is really well stocked (including our favorite Deep Eddy vodka) and Peroni on tap. We had appetizers, an absolutely delicious corn chowder, mozzerella/peppers/tomatoes bruschetta, stuffed shells and much more. Quality ingredients locally sourced plus some other non-local impressive ingredients (olive oil from the owner's family, cheesecake from the Carnegie Deli in NYC)....oh so good. I'm kind of hesitant too eat at a place, where I'm the only customer. But I've been here before and convinced myself to stay. The host and I had a very good conversation regarding music. Apparently the kitchen staff likes country, which was obvious from the volume. And in the front was pop music. Anyway , I say at the bar, where I could enjoy both. Now the waiter at he bar was just okay. No extra attention, like one usually receives by sitting at bar. Dang!!! I was the only one there. As I sat, more customers trickled in -- and were given more attention. But that didn't deter me. I ordered the meatball sandwich which came w a cup of soup. Hostess (Tatiana) and server (Bettina) treated us like second-class citizens. The hostess greeted us by informing us we have to leave by a certain time. Our server never asked us if we wanted more drinks, after having empty martini glasses for over 45 minutes. Asked her for lemons three times and she continue to forget. We asked to speak to the manager, shared our dismay, she was pleasant. I can't get enough of the squid ink pasta! It's seasoned so perfectly with lots of crab meat bits inside and the sauce is tasty, but not too heavy. It has a little spiciness to it which I love. I haven't ordered anything else because I'm obsessed with this dish. I have tried the eggplant appetizer which is also amazing served with crostini and a side of ricotta cheese. I've also tried a bite of someone else's bolognese dish and ravioli dish and both were excellent as well. The restaurant feels super homey inside and they have a small outside area to dine on the sidewalk. If you can't find Street parking nearby they do offer complimentary valet. You can also get a parking pass that let's you keep your car in their lot through the performance. Recommended dishes: Creamy burrata ravioli with the house's anise-imbued meatballs. A deconstructed Greek salad with crunchy vegetables. The eggplant appetizer, redolent of pomodoro sauce, that's almost big enough for a main dish. A juicy, deeply flavored roasted half-chicken. If there's hazelnut gelato on the dessert menu, get it. Bar offers a long menu of creative cocktails, all $9. Wine list is fine but if you want to bring something special with you, you can (for a $30 corkage charge). Some reviews say the place is too noisy & the tables are too close together. The noise does rise as the restaurant fills but tables are no closer together than at any other popular, reasonably priced cozy place. read more

My new favorite place in Providence! We went with a few friends for dinner and drinks. The bartender was very welcoming and allowed me to try the Elderberry liquor prior to ordering. It was a drink of Prosecco and Elderberry liquor. For appetizers, we started with antipasto and eggplant parm. The eggplant parm was absolutely amazing, served with ricotta and crostini. For entrees, I had fresh gemelli with Italian sausage. The dish was a perfect size and had rabe, ricotta and red peppers. My boyfriend enjoyed Bolognese which he said was delicious. Rosalina has a really great balance of being a chic restaurant, and also having a comfortable family vibe. We loved the fact that there was a connection to Greece and the owners family being from there. The olive oil they put on the table when you sit is so delicious, along with the bread for dipping. We tried the chorizo appetizer which was awesome. I also love when there are vegan options on the menu since I am lactose intolerant. We had a great dinner at Rosalina on Saturday night. Their AC wasn't working so we were quite happy to be outside. I started with their elderberry/Prosecco cocktail which was well balanced and very easy to drink. The pizette frite which was amazing. Best thing we had all night; it's like a very soft pizza dough deep fried to almost the consistency from a doughnut and then smothered in some delicious tomato sauce and a little cheese. The scallions on top really set off the dish nicely. Very filling; none of us could eat our dinners after that. My wife got the wedge salad and the tagliatelle bolognese. The salad was really good, particularly the dressing which seemed to be a citrus version of Italian and again the fresh scallions. The noodles seeemed a bit thick and the sauce wasn't quite enough to keep up with the noodles; not the best bolognese she's had. I got the cauliflower steak, which was about a 1/4 head of cauliflower cut in a thick slice. Think they must have par-boiled it for a bit and then pan-fried it to get a nice brown. The sauce had some nice pepper flavor and was really good. The sauce on the noodles was a cashew butter cheese and pepper sauce that was really good, but they seemed to just use normal spaghetti rather than the linguini mentioned on the menu. Think linguine or even fettuccine might have been better. All around a very solid dish. My daughter had the burrata ravioli and that was really good. The burrata filling worked perfectly with the ravioli. She didn't like the meatballs much but we couldn't tell if it was the fact that we've eaten vegetarian the past 2 years or if they just weren't great meatballs. I think they just weren't great. They included pancetta in their bolognese and I wonder if they did the same with the meatballs; it just didn't quite work for us. All in all a great meal with tons of food. read more

Came for happy hour right after they opened. Half price appetizers. Heard a lot about this place from friends. They have dollar oysters which I ordered three of. They were very good, fresh and not too briny. Eggplant Parmesan was very good. The marinara sauce was delicious and the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. It came with ricotta cheese and crostini. The only disappointing dish, and by disappointing I mean terrible, was the calamari. I'm fine with non fried calamari. Bartender recommended it as something very refreshing, but it was just weird. Weird consistency and weird flavor profile. I would usually say "unique" but I had a couple bites and left it. Shame because they give a VERY generous portion, especially considering it was happy hour. There was also this very fishy flavor coming forward from the squid which was weird as well. read more

I am so impressed with the service we received and the wonderful food that was served. This place is cute and modern inside not typical Italian kind of decor but better. Perfect spot for date where its noisy inside to fill those possible awkward silence moments but also close and intimate spacing. Our server (I think Will?) was very accommodating and able to keep track of our larger party. The food is excellent here. I have been twice and have never been disappointed. What a fantastic Italian place and it was within walking distance of our hotel to boot! Having scouted the Providence eating scene, I suggested this place to our married-couple friends and the wife had been curious about trying it out. Score!! We got in and got a table almost right away. The hostess noticed we had a baby in tow, so she seated us at a convenient booth (the kind where the seat goes all the way around and everyone has to slide kinda awkwardly in, but it's super fun!) right by the window. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered the fresh gemelli with veal ragu and peas and AT got the swordfish with orzo. My dish was incredible and the portion was such that I couldn't even finish my meal! If you know me... You know that I rarely leave my plate empty. Also, if you know me, you know I love carbs. Especially good, toothy pasta. I totally ate all the pasta and left a ton of veal. Maybe ridiculous to some carnivores, but pasta lovers will understand that I had to prioritize when faced with too much to eat. I didn't try AT's dish since I'm anti-seafood but he kept raving about his dish as well. Our friends got clams and eggplant parm and loved their food as well. We got our check quickly once we asked for it. We never felt rushed and we decided to take treat our friends, since we missed their wedding! I went here with a small group of friends to celebrate an upcoming wedding. We made a reservation for a Thursday night and a table was ready at the reserved time but they were willing to let us sit at the bar until the perfect table, a comfy u-shaped booth right in the window, was available. In the meantime, the very friendly bartender regaled us with stories about the restaurant's art and made us some mean drinks. We shared a number of really good dishes, including shrimp in a spicy vermouth sauce with crostini, a caprese with burrata cheese, squid ink spaghetti with crabmeat, and a burrata ravioli with house-made meatballs. Delicious and great atmosphere! We stumbled upon this place before seeing the Lion King. The location was perfect, offered parking and was walking distance to the PPAC. We didn't make reservations (which I would recommend if you want a table on a show night) but found seats at the bar. I was excited to hear they had $1 oysters and 1/2 price appetizers. We ended up trying so many different amazing appetizers that we didn't have room for entrees so I'll definitely be back to try those. We started with oysters and then ordered the antipasto plate (which sadly was not included in the 1/2 price app special). Both were so fresh. Then we ordered the locally made Italian sausage, eggplant parm and the shrimp in spicy tomato broth. Everything was delicious! We couldn't stop dipping crostini in the different sauces. There were three people in my party and the appetizers were plenty for us. They also have yummy, fun cocktails. I ordered the Satin Doll which is St. Germain elderberry flower liqueur with prosecco, topped with club soda and a lemon twist. I am a sucker for bubbles and this really kicked it up a notch!
