I cannot lie. I have been patronizing this Rosati's for quite a few years, but I have no idea what happened to their Chicago-based pizza mission. Following my birthday (which happened to fall on a holiday this year), I attempted a re-do which only a true Chicagoan would see fit. Birthday pizza! I am always conflicted about whether to order pan or stuffed, I typically side with stuffed. However, being it my second "celebration" I ordered both. No cheese on either. I'm not kidding, no cheese. I no longer consider Rosati's a Chicago staple. I get it that times are hard, but please do not skimp on what initially brought me to you. I didn't eat either pie. We will not return for purchases, but I do feel awful about that. PLEASE FIX YOUR PIES! I seriously have had more on a thin crust than my pan or stuffed did. read more

STIFF COMPETITION You've got plenty of choices when it comes to pizza.....and this is certainly one of them. I loved Rosati's growing up because I: A) never had to foot the bill and B) naïvely thought all pizzas were created equal (after two decades of scarfing down slices, I've found the latter to be wholly untrue). We had a Restaurant.com coupon for $25 off of $50 at this Lemont location where I placed an order for pickup on 5/10/21. To start, we got the cheesy breadsticks w/marinara ($7.50) and half pound of boneless wings ($8). They were out of honey bbq, so I settled for garlic parm (wings were OK, not as good as Bdubs). Their Greek salad ($9) was a decent value and had romaine, feta, cucumbers, banana peppers, and shaved Asiago in a house vinaigrette. Cannoli (2 for $7) were average. Our main selection was a 14" pepperoni thin crust ($20). Rosati's pizza is better than most, though their prices are outrageous. Each topping on a 'large' is $2.75!! Something like Italian sausage/grilled chicken/other protein I could understand charging a couple dollars extra, but a simple veggie? How in the hell are they gonna put three bucks' worth of black olives on there? * TL;DR * I can't be the only one who thinks $30 for a large three-topping pizza is bonkers. When you take into account all the different options for a tasty 'za (homemade, frozen, Dominos, Papa John's, local place), Rosati's winds up being your most expensive option 9 times out of 10. That doesn't make their food any less delicious, however, just be prepared for an elevated dollar-to-slice ratio. Without the 1/2 off voucher, we definitely would have gone elsewhere. Our house proudly flies the Lou Malnati's flag and they're unlikely to get bumped from the pole position. It's nice to switch things up every once in a while but Rosati's pricing runs far too steep to order from them with any regularity. A one-and-done visit is fine with me. read more

This Rosatis site is very poorly managed. On two occasions we ordered deep dish pizza . On both occasions we given thin crust pizza .When I told the incompetent phone /counter guy the pizza order wrong AGAIN He actually blamed me and said I need to verify the order better . Not one to write reviews but this called for it. Went in for a lunch slice today. Asked the man at the counter what slices they have and he said cheese, sausage and pepperoni. I chose the pepperoni slice and he said give him a few minutes. I've been to many Rosati's and usually they have the slices up front in the waning case so I thought he was just in the back grabbing. Turns out he was putting cold pepperoni slices on a warmed up cheese slice and handed it off to me. Got in my car and realized it. I haven't ordered from this place in years. I thought I would give it another chance. It was a simple order of Full Slab of ribs with fries and a salad. I ordered bleu cheese dressing. To start it came with some sweet Italian it clearly showed blue cheese on the receipt. The ribs were disgusting. They were small like from a baby pig. Plus they were very dry and tough. They must have reheated them in alum foil meat side down because when pulling the ribs away the meat was burnt and stuck to the foil. I should have known because I had problems before. I called to order some wings after a very long day. The gentleman that took my order was pleasant enough, but that is where the good customer service ended. I was informed the wait time would be approximately 1hr. I was called by the delivery driver 51mins later. He informed me he was at my hotel, but had forgotten a part of my order. I informed him I indeed wanted my salad, but I should not have to pay for it as it was his mistake and it was going to take an additional 40+ minutes to retrieve it. I then called the store and tried to speak to the on duty manager who interrupted me and then promptly hung up on me. To say the least, this is poor customer service. BEWARE OF CREDIT CARD FRAUD BY DELIVERY DRIVER I'm in a hotel and got the menu from the front desk. Upon ordering a pizza to be delivered to my room, the delivery driver kid tried to get me to fall for credit card fraud by asking me to fill out the receipt in pencil because his pen just broke, and not to fill in the total because he would do that later tonight. the police were called and are currently at this location to confront the driver. Honestly the worst pizza I've ever had. Oh I ordered a pizza at 3:30 for pick up at 4:40. When I arrived the pizza was cold, the box was greasy on the bottom and smelled terrible Not to mention the guy that took my order had his shirt is soaked and Who knows what Instead of wearing an apron. So I brought the pizza home and I ordered a deep dish and it was very light and sauce, the cheese was not rather thick and lukewarm at best. Mind you I live about 10 minutes away from the restaurant.Once again let me reiterate that pizza tasted terrible was lukewarm and I highly doubt that they use fresh ingredients. This place has amazing deep dish pizza! In saying this, I should have just stuck with the pizza. I ordered a burger medium rare a few days ago and it was very well done. I tried it again last night medium rare and it came to me even more well and burnt on the outside to the point where I couldn't even eat it. I called and talked to a very nice guy who was genuinely sympathetic about it and put a free small pizza on my account for next time! I appreciated the great customer service! Hard to find these days. I myself am a server so I realize how hard it is dealing with customers and food and I barely ever complain because of that, but I didn't think paying $9 for burnt meat was fair.;) If you visit this place, definitely stick to the deep dish! I've come here twice recently - both times, none of the employees were wearing a mask. Unlike other Lemont restaurants and take-out places, Rosati's takes no precautions for COVID19. I called and asked if there was any specials and the man was so rude and clueless. Telling me there might be some in the mail. How is he not aware of specials the restaurant has? I usually order from rosatis (other locations) and they always have specials with a one topping family pizza and a free small cheese or specials with wings. He kept asking "WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT? Honestly disappointed. I ordered my food online at 10:00 this morning. I waited till 11:15/11:30 for it to finally arrive. I understood the order would take 45 min to an hour. But I waited a little. Then called the restaurant to confirm they got the order and the guy was like I was about to call you. We only have enough cannolis for one order. Can we substitute. I was like sure! So we received our food. 2 calzones 1 Italian combo with an order cannolis. And they put fries and mozzarella sticks because they didn't have any more cannolis to sell and make up for my order. Fine. Total came over $70!!!! The food was awful and a huge disappointment. Calzones were nothing but doe/crust. Overloaded with oregano. We ended up throwing the 2nd calzone away. My combo's Italian sausage was dry and burnt. And the cannolis were just a sad disappointment. Sadly not worth 70 fricken dollars!!! Have had good experiences here. My order is always ready in a reasonable amount of time (I always pick up, no delivery), and the staff is friendly. They also email you good coupons. I ordered a 16" pizza this weekend using a $7 off coupon they sent me. Where else can you get a pizza to feed 5 for less than $15! I've also met the owner when asking for an empty pizza box to use as a gag birthday gift. He was very friendly. If you've had a bad experience here, give it another try. read more

What comes in a chicken salad? Hmmm......I wonder. You would think chicken, right? Well, I guess the employees of rosati's have a different interpretation of chicken, because I got a salad, with NO CHICKEN in it!!! I mean, come on, really? It says, "chicken salad" on your menu. You would think a normal person would notice not having any chicken in it. The menu also says, "mixed greens and grilled chicken", well, that also is not what is in the salad. If it says mixed greens, you would expect things that are GREEN, not tomato and black olive as well. When I called to inform then that they were put into my salad, the person told me, well, you didn't specify that you didn't want them. Why the heck would I specify, when It says there are only mixed greens and grilled chicken in it?? Some people lack common sense, I swear! Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened.
