This place really is good. I had to update my review. The glazed donuts are still the best. Fresh and delicious. The iced latte is good and strong and not overly sweet so perfect. The breakfast sandwiches are excellent also. The bagels are good and delicious and the croissants are buttery and flaky. The lines are out the door but don't let that intimidate you. They are fast and super friendly. Excellent staff. read more

This place apparently always has a line out the door... looks like a family/asian run business. Breakfast sandwiches were all good, nice portions and plenty of bacon, ham, and eggs. Donuts were fresh. Coffee was strong and good too. The prices are good. So they hit all marks for a local donut shop. read more

Definitely a solid choice for a donut. I didn't think they were anything out of this world, but they definitely weren't bad; maybe just a bit overhyped. The cake-y donuts were way better than the yeast-y ones. One small complaint - we ordered a white cream filled donut (as seen in the pic) but it was actually custard filled. Bit of a bummer but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it was still good. The ambience here is also not it... definitely plan to just take these to go. read more

Arrived here to find a line out the door. Waited to get a dozen donuts to take to a meeting. The donuts are bigger than most places, but they still squish them into that pink box. This place charges more for their donuts than the other places I visited lately. The donuts are good, but cost more and you have to wait for them. read more

Overall: Great for a quick stop and wide variety of donut selections Donuts: The glazed donut was delicious, they were pillowy, perfectly glazed, and honestly bigger than a lot of other shops. The only thought I had was that the glazed donuts were just a tiny bit on the oily side, but nothing that was hard to stomach. Service: the shop is open very early, I went around 6am and there was a wonderful selection. The lady that helped me out was very nice and they offer warming up for the donuts. Parking: Parking is super easy in the plaza lot. read more

this donut shop has absolutely amazing customer service and donuts. I also like their bagels sandwich. You really can't go wrong with anything you get here. The line is usually pretty long since these are quickly. Line was out. The door was out within eight minutes. read more

Hands down, my favorite donut shop! The donuts are always fresh fluffy and full of flavor and don't get me started on the Vietnamese iced coffee. It's strong, smooth and the perfect companion to any pastry here. The only thing missing for me is a French cruller, but with everything else being so on point, I can't be mad about it. Their croissant sandwiches are also very tasty. I most definitely recommend making your way here for the morning bites. Heads up though the line is usually out the door around 8:30 AM. read more

I've been meaning to try their ham and cheese croissants here and we finally ordered delivery and half a dozen of donuts to go with it + their Vietnamese iced coffee. The ham and cheese croissant is not your typical, flaky texture but it was AMAZING nonetheless. I get the hype for it now! The ham and cheese filling was generous and very delicious. The donuts are also good but typical. The biggest letdown was their iced coffee which arrived to us watery and bland. It also looked darker than most places do it... probably lacking both milk and condensed milk. Overall I would definitely come back for their savory croissants. read more

Ok, these donuts are sooooo good!We went on a Wednesday at 7pm and to my surprise, they had many options still available! We got a cinnamon crumble raised and a raspberry filled. They were the softest donuts we've ever had and just melted in your mouth. We were in SD for 4 days and I thought about them every day lol. They were a little out of the way from where we stayed, but we made sure to go back again before we left. Definitely would recommend!! read more

If you're looking for a Mom & pop donut shop serving up great classics with no fancy frills, Rose Donuts is for you. The ladies working this donut shop are extremely friendly and patient. There was a homeless man in front of me when I went and he took about five minutes trying to decide on a single donut and the ladies attitude towards him was genuine and you can automatically tell that they are wonderful people. I came in Tuesday morning around 8am and was immediately greeted by the fresh scent of warm ham & cheese croissants that had just been placed on display. It tempted me to get one, but I was there for dozens of donuts. I went with all the classic yeast donuts and a few cake ones. The twists, bars, and filled donuts are an additional cost, but only by .20 cents. My coworkers all enjoyed the donuts and I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for something simple. read more

I've literally been here soooo many times and don't know why I've never left a review. TLDR: rose donuts is the GOAT. You can expect consistent quality. You come in here and you know it's going to taste exactly the same each time. No funny business. I love their service. They're always so happy and quick. They got their system down to a T. The food is amazing. I love their croissant sandwiches and my friend seems to love their bagel sandwiches. Of course, their donuts are great. Soo soft and chewy. I love getting their Vietnamese coffee. I think it's a little bit more on the sweeter side, so I usually ask for less sweet. Side notes: You can also sit inside or at the patio to eat. There's also a ton of parking, so you don't need to worry about that. read more

Very friendly staff! I have been here a handful of times now and every time the donuts are fresh and taste very natural. Many other donut shops have an artificial aftertaste or their custard filling tastes gross. Not the case here at Rose donuts. They have a huge variety of traditional donut offerings. They are alway very clean. And they make great coffee drinks as well. Excellent on all levels. Known by many locals as the best in SD and it's apparent why. read more

Yum! I grabbed the ham, cheese, and egg croissant, a Vietnamese iced coffee (half sweet), and of course--some donuts. Everything hit the spot, and the best part? I really like their red velvet donut. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not too sweet. The donut itself was very dense but still fluffy and there is light cream on top. Their donut holes are also really good. Not too sweet and super light and fluffy in the inside. read more

The donuts are good but, the unnecessary comments from one worker in particular are overboard. She comments my grand daughter has "good hair" instead of her dad's hair. Shes also made rude comments about my daughter's acrylic nails. English is not her first language so I'm not sure she knows how offensive some of her observations are. The rest of the crew is much more professional and kind. So 5 stars for the donuts and 3 stars for the one lady. read more

Always a great breakfast or treat at Rose's! The line can be out the door since it is staffed by a couple people up front, and everything is made to order. They're open from 4:30-10pm daily, and I recommend their vietnamese coffees and breakfast sandwich combo special. Tap to pay is accepted and there's a 50 cent card fee. read more

I've been wanting to come to Rose Donuts to try their breakfast croissants. Thankfully they take card now (Yelp has not updated this yet but apparently it's been a couple years after searching in their reviews), which was the main thing deterring me from visiting. Small surcharge of 50 cents I believe. Finally with some cash in hand I came in on a Sunday around noon, line was to the door and not long after was out the door. I had the country croissant (egg, bacon, cheese). It was huge, perfect amount of food inside - any more fillings or meat like ham in the deluxe would have been too much. The staff was so friendly and they do try to coax you to add a donut or donut holes to their order, haha. We opted to share one rainbow sprinkle donut, and also got 2 Vietnamese iced coffees. It was $28 for 2 croissant sandwiches, 2 coffees, and a donut. A pretty good deal tbh, considering the size of the croissant, and the coffees were 16oz. The croissant was nice and warm, cheese melted, egg yolk thick but still a little runny. So satisfying. The coffees were alright. I may opt to try their thai tea next time cus you can never go wrong with thai tea. read more

Popped in another night and they had blueberry cake donuts left! This is what my husband was wanting to try the last time we came but they were sold out. It was very very good. This is a cute little donut shop in Linda Vista. I was craving some donuts and coffee badly and Yelp told me THIS was the spot to go to. They're open late, which is a plus for me because I love a late-night donut run. The staff was super friendly, and the donuts were superb (I got a box of assorted best sellers). I also love me a good sweet and strong Vietnamese coffee, and this place delivered! I bought the rest of the donuts back for my coworkers and they loved them as well. I had a hankering for donuts. I wanted to go some place other than my usual donut spots. I landed at Rose Donuts. I was pleasantly surprised that at 10 a.m. on a Thursday morning the line was out the door. The line moved quickly. They still had a nice selection of donuts to choose from. The best raised glazed donut I'd had in a while. The chocolate covered twist was excellent as well. I also had a chocolate covered buttermilk bar and a maple old fashion. These did not disappoint me either. The only donut that missed the mark was the apple fritter. Too crispy for my liking. The staff were friendly. I didn't indulge in the coffees or sandwiches. From the moment I set foot in this fine establishment, I be greeted by the smell of freshly baked pastries and the sight of colorful confections that would make even Blackbeard himself drool with envy. The crew behind the counter be as friendly as a parrot on me shoulder, always ready to serve up a hot cup of grog to wash down me delectable treats. I have been going to Rose donuts for 20 years now, actually 21 years now LOL. I can't say enough nice things about this place. The service is awesome, the price is incredibly reasonable and the donuts are delicious. They also make really good sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches and they have ice cream and pretty much everything. I love the old-school attitude there it's family-owned and whenever I get a chance to not give my money to the big corporations I don't and I try to spend it at local businesses like Rose donuts. Can't say enough good things about this place I love Connie she is my BFF for the last several years LOL and please support your local coffee shop. They make espresso and drip coffee and all kinds of cold drinks. The food here is delicious. They have croissants, sandwiches and donuts and I like them - some cookies too. Croissants are delicious. Sandwiches are fresh and tasty. Donuts are fluffy and perfect. I would not recommend their coffee though. It's not bad but it's not good enough for my tastes buds. The prices are great. You can have more calories than you have paid. They accept only accept cash. They have also combo meals. Combo meals are great. With this you can have croissants, sandwiches and donuts. It is good for a start. You can already taste lots of their food. This store is open for 24 hours. Parking is not that easy. It's quite small. Service here is great and impressive. Staffs are patient and smiley. Better than average donut shop, but nothing life changing. I'd be more interested in some of their breakfast items and croissants. We had a regular croissant with our donuts and it was very good. However the donut selection wasn't anything support unique and made it just a good local donut shop, nothing that I'd feel I had to go out of my way to find again. They did have some good ice cream there as well. So even though the donuts weren't as great as I hoped the choices in items maybe makes up the difference for some people. Think I've found my new favorite donut/breakfast shop! I love coming here since it's just a short 10 minute walk from my place but we always come here right after a morning hike. But keeping this review short: super friendly staff, opened 24/7, good donuts, awesome breakfast sandwiches (combo gets you a donut and a small drink), and cash only. This is the second time I go for a tuna sandwich and I get she's alone but both times I am told she can't because she is alone. The first time I thought ok I feel bad but the second time, she said she was making donuts and can't make sandwiches. These doughnuts are amazing! They are light, crispy, with a fully baked doughnut. You can tell the dough quality has been taken into consideration, and they are consistently baked well. Each doughnut is massive from the rising of the dough in the baking process. I have been here several times and I have never come across an undercooked, or greasy doughnut. Pistachio croissant ($6) - this had a nice pistachio flavor but is definitely quite sweet from the pistachio paste. It is a pretty huge croissant, though. I'd recommend toasting it up, but even eating it cold was quite good. Honey Lavender Latte ($6) - it was absolutely delicious but for a $6 latte, it was definitely on the smaller side. They did serve a small piece of biscotti. I have also tried their everything danish before and thought it was decent. There is a lot as well as some paid street parking. I believe you can get an hour of free parking by dining here. The staff here is friendly.

Staff was quick in taking orders but wait time for our sandwich was slow. We got the chicken pesto sandwich ($14) for a full one. It comes with a piece of pickle. They provided water cups upon request but the water is from the soda machine. Taste of the sandwich was good but the portion is on the smaller side with a small chunk of chicken.
