Without a doubt our favorite restaurant on the Oregon coast. We go to Oceanside multiple times every year just to eat here. The clam chowder is fantastic and the sandwiches are always great. It doesn't hurt that they have a extraordinary view of a beautiful beach. read more

We arrived at 8pm on a Tuesday night and waited for about 30 minutes but we were prepared for that. The food was good, but overpriced for the service/atmosphere. Our waitress was very unattentive. I had to flag her down for water even after our meal arrived. I hate having to flag down a waitress it makes me feel obnoxious! She took our order then disappeared, delivered the food then disappeared, we finally caught her when she delivered the check to the table next to ours. I think we just got a dud for a waitress because the other tables seem to have great service. If you do go here I would definitely recommend the marionberry cheesecake with chocolate ganache....mmmmm....yum! read more

Got the recommendation from travel book to try this spot and after checking on Yelp, decided to stop on our way through town. The atmosphere is charming - like a diner in the 60's. Very clean and waitress was very attentive and nice. Food was delicious and the view from the window over the beach was amazing. Would make this a stop for sure! read more

I used to prefer (and still really like) Pelican Brew Pub in Pacific City - there aren't that many places on the northern to middle coast where you can get a good meal and a fantastic ocean view. Roseanna's is awesome for the view and I've always had great meals there. In fact, I stayed in Oceanside recently for my birthday mainly because I wanted my birthday lunch at Roseanna's. I went here twice . Once alone and once with my uncle . I have to say that the service was excellent and the food was also . It was quick and very tasty . It also has a nice view of the ocean . The menu which would APPEAR to change and is written to make you believe it does really doesn't. The food is OK but you get way too much pasta and not enough of the thing that is supposed to be supplied with the pasta. Locals pretty much steer clear of the place and recommend other places which provide similar meals for about half the price of this place, this place is for the tourists. Agree with some others here. Went in alone with my 2 very noisy kids, so I know they heard and saw us. Yet nobody acknowledged us for over 10 minutes when I finally had to flag someone down, who was pretty rude. I had merely come in to ask about making a reservation later. This may be the only "real restaurant" in the small community of Oceanside - not sure but we certainly didn't notice anything else on our drive in. When we arrived at Roseanna's we were told that we might have to wait 45 minutes for a table, we were not happy but given the area we decided to wait. Fortunately after about 5 minutes we were seated. The staff was pleasant and very helpful with suggestions. My husband had a delicious Parmesan-encrusted Pacific Snapper with a lemon caper sauce, roasted potatoes and corn-on-the-cob ($17.95). I had Willapa Bay Oysters griddle fried in drawn butter and coated in egg/parsley and breadcrumbs ($18.50). Huge portions. Really outstanding. We finished our meal with Marionberry Cobbler with vanilla ice-cream ($6.25). Oh my! We both wish fresh Marionberries were available in Ohio. We stayed overnight up the hill at the Clifftop Inn with some of the most spectacular views. If you are ever in the area both the Inn and Roseanna's are definitely worth the time. read more

My husband, son and I stopped in here over Spring Break after kayaking on Lake Meares. We waited 15 minutes for a table even though there were open tables available, the service was slow, the food ok, the view was great. If you are very hungry, don't order the seafood scramble, there were more potatoes on the plate than eggs. We should have driven to the Pelican Pub or the Grateful Bread in Pacific City instead. Also, they could do with some interior updating. I know its the beach but they could spruce up a bit. read more

Definitely hit or miss on the menu items. A trend in the area is to over-spice very fresh fish and this was true of the cajun salmon. Actually I was brought cajun white fish and I had to send it back for the salmon I ordered. The thin slice of salmon that returned was a tad dry and overwhelmed by cajun seasoning. My friend ordered petrale sole with a salmon sauce and that was truly a wonderful dish. Dessert is great too, I recommend the chocolate carmel cake or best yet is a berry cobbler with light lemon cake-custard crust - amazing!!!! A beautiful setting on the Oceanside waterfront! A small, intimate restaurant that seems to make all their offerings from scratch. Flavorful, homemade chowder contained fresh clams. A pasta dish incorporated local seafood, kale, tomatoes and herbs. Desserts were generous and made in - house. We especially loved the coconut three - milk cake! Service was attentive and quite prompt. This is not cutting edge Portland, but very good for a special vacation evening on the Oregon coast! read more

First night in Oceanside, our party of eight was seated after short 20 minute wait. The place was busy, but the seated smaller parties (2-4) efficiently. We ordered appetitizers, enters, drinks, and desserts. 7 adults and a teen! Wonderful service! Excellent food! Superb craft beers (made by others in Oregon). And exceptionally tasty desserts! Mine was the lemon pudding cake with Marionberry! Everyone left satisfied, full, and we recommend it to all! And we enjoyed the time between being seated and served with excellent conversation. There was no down side with this restaurant, even though there was a short wait. Every member of the staff was kind, helpful, and in a good mood. I had the salmon which was the best prepared and most delicious I've ever enjoyed at a restaurant. The desserts were out of this world, and the view was spectacular. A+ all around. Yes!... you must make a trip to Oceanside Oregon, if not for the beach, then for Roseanna's Cafe. Cafe yes, in that it is casual, but a finer seafood experience you may never have. The staff are friendly and professional, knowledgable about their menu, attentive, but not intrusive. Sit down have a glass of wine, beers also offered, and enjoy the ambience, the view, and the creative menu. Would have loved to just have dessert, then followed by another dessert, they sounded so good! This food is cooked for YOU ... relax, slow down and know that life is good. read more

While vacationing for the week in Oceanside we made most meals in our condo, but decided to do takeout for our last night (we didn't want to leave our dog alone). I got the big salad with hazelnut chicken which was great (even without the dressing I ordered, oh well, I'm probably better off), it had a good balance of ingredients. My wife got the baked salmon with a side of rice which she enjoyed (prefers a larger filet but happy with it and would get it again). My 12yo daughter got Lillie's Penne with chicken - she said she's had better but it was good. My 14yo son went for the burger, well sized and perfect for him. He added a cup of chowder which he enjoyed as well. My views on the cost (as that seems to be a popular topic in other reviews): Roseanna's charges $2/entrée for takeout, but honestly I wasn't too bothered by the price. $75 for four basic entrees and one cup of soup - we spend well more than that (with drinks and tip) at our usual haunts in the Seattle area. Also, I have four ideas on the general price here: 1) Location. Hello, it's on the beach with fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean. 2) Its far-off location means suppliers have farther to go. 3) They know their audience. Consider the common clientele: folks that can afford a vacation house on the beach. 4) Supply & demand. Economics 101; they are the only dinner stop in Oceanside. Bottom line: would we go back? Absolutely. Not every night, but definitely the next time we're in Oceanside. Especially to try the desserts which we passed on this time (we had our fill of ice cream in Tillamook earlier). read more

This is a must if your near Pacific City. Its a pretty drive up to Oceanside. The restaurant has great food and dishes you can select your own sauces if you like. One time for valentines day they had a heart shaped puff pastry filled with local seafood. Im in heaven if you even mention puff pastry. The food is local and fresh.The atmosphere is great winter and summer. We once had a window seat during a thunderstorm. Be prepared to wait though. But during the nice weather have a stroll on the beach while you wait. A friend of mine lived there in the 50's, the building was the local market and butcher. I paid $14.75 for a tiny burger and maybe a handful of chips. Far from worth the price. I also paid $3.25 for a 16oz drink that was all ice. Did I mention it's $2 just to get it to go? Never again! It's highway robery! If I could give negative stars I would. read more

I went to Oceanside for breakfast at Blue Agate but they were closed so I took the hotel manager's recommendation and went to Rosanna's. I had the crab and shrimp scramble which was marginal at best and completely forgettable. Potatoes that had a Lawry's seasoning salt type flavor covered more than half the plate. The egg portion was low on flavor and rather small, the food was lukewarm which was strange because I was the only person in the restaurant section. Very disappointing experience at $20 (scramble/coffee/tip), the only plus was the view of the beach. read more

I'm not sure why this place getts the ratings it gets. We stopped in for lunch. The service was slow, and the staff must have been having a bad day as some of them were downright rude! We were told, by the staff, that the clam chowder was "the best". It was passable, but by no means the best! I can't comment about the desserts because we were so tired of the service that we left to go elsewhere. Would not like to go back anytime soon. read more

On way back from Maeres Lighthouse we stopped in Oceanside. Had a wonderful late lunch at Roseanna's. The halibut was lightly fried w butter and herbs and was delicious. The view was great but that's really the best I can say about this place. My husband and I ordered the Tiger shrimp and clam chowder. The shrimp was mediocre and the clam chowder had a lot of herbs and full of potatoes. Some people may like it like that but it was way too many herbs for me. I ordered a side of bread for my soup but it never came out. I didn't get a chance to ask the waitress for it because she was so busy she didn't really come to check on us. When she did finally come out she said "ok you guys didn't want dessert, right?" Despite the food being below average I had heard they had great desserts so I actually did want to try something. We had the peanut butter cream pie and that really wasn't anything special. I couldn't decide if it was supposed to be cold or warm it just tasted like it had been sitting out for a few hours. Maybe it was just wrong timing but we wouldn't be back. Not many options in town but we would drive to Netarts or Tillamook for other dinner options if we stayed in Oceanside again. read more
