RTP is our favorite go to place for pizza no matter what city we are in. This site had a friendly personable staff and great pizza- thin crust means thin crust! You did not disappoint. The sauce did not overwhelm the ingredients as some do. Toppings were plentiful even if it was a half for me and half for me. The clean environment was a plus. read more

Ok, so my kids like round table - they just don't realize the aggravation you have to go through! My experience when trying to book parties here was horrible - won't do it again (Marvin Gardens is a nice option - kids can hang out on the patio and they have other options besides pizza). However, I do have to say the phone courtesy is good when ordering pizza as well as the service when picking up. I just don't get the pricing! I have coupons and they always say they're not necessary as they'll give me the best deal available (which is great, but I never walk out feeling like i got a deal!). Had a large cheese pizza and medium Hawaiian for $40 (with coupon) - just seemed steep for a chain pizza place. Our go to place is Toto's, more authentic Italian pizza. Toto's large pizza for $20 will serve a family of four whereas Round Table's large serves 2 to 2-1/2 in our family. Expensive American-style pizza - support the local, more authentic pizza store's! (When u go to Italy, pizza will not taste like Round Table;), Even when you go online, it's difficult finding pricing - just makes it seem a little questionable. read more

I ordered a Maui Wowi with Extra Cheese for delivery. It arrived with NO Cheese. I called the manager and he said that's how they make that particular pizza (w/out Cheese). Then he said that if I wanted another one, he'd make it free for me, w/out Cheese, because that's how he makes it - I literally was like WTF?? This Round Table is okay, as far as the chain goes. The salad bar is pretty decent and you can get a decent lunch for under $10. The only complaint I have is that some other Round Tables offer better lunch deals (it seems to vary by location). read more

Ordered two pizzas. They got two of the ingredients on my 5 topping pizza. They got the King Arthur September right on toppings but Ordered it extra crispy How hard is it to get the toppings down guys - that's your only job???With xtra sauce and garlic - no garlic, no crisp and light sauce. Not sure if this guy was the owner or store manager. Older guy with gray hair. Complete A Hole. Went to pick up an online order. No greet, gives me this "what do you want" look. I haven't had much interaction with the staff here, so I can't give a fair assessment of the service. However, I can say that the BBQ Chicken (w/Bacon) pizza is AMAZING! I like to have it thin crust w/ no onions, but I'm sure any which way you choose to consume it will be "slap yo momma" delicious! The location is pleasant and it seems to have ample accommodations. They have some TV's in the place (usually on sports) so a cool spot to catch a game, etc. The only peeve is around price. I think the price point is a bit much for pizza. read more

I cannot say enough how thankful I am to the store manager Luis for being extremely accommodating for my daughter's birthday lunch with family. There were over thirty of us and everything turned out great. The customer service was superb. I actually contacted Luis a couple months ago and he assured me that I could go ahead and reserve the birthday room and not to worry about a thing... And he was right!! All I can say is great! I placed the order online. The order was ready within a couple minutes of my arrival. The pizza maker was kind enough to ask if I needed paper plates and forks. He also pointed out where the Parmesan cheese and peppers were. The pizza and garlic bread were amazing! Great experience! read more

This is a great place, we went last night looking for a change on our regular Pizza, Toto's at Belmont is horrific, their pizzas there are raw in the middle and Mountain Mike's have a very cardboard-xy pizza, I find Papa John's too sweet. It has been a while since I didn't taste pizza the way is supposed to be, they have everything you may need and an arcade in the back. I don't know if he was the owner, but a very nice gentleman in the cashier walked to us and gave to two stuffed animals to my (very young) boys. This place is not pretentious, honest and very well done pizza, beer and a limited, but fresh, salad bar. It is perfect for school night dinner with kids. We will be back. read more

OK, I don't usually write reviews for pizza chains but I must say, this Round Table has improved dramatically over the years. I am not going to base this review on pizza, everyone by now should have an idea of what a Round Table pizza tastes like. They are good, much better than most chains, that's for sure. What I like about this Round Table is that the restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, the manager is a really nice guy, and it is an overall pleasant place to go to for a casual dinner. If you need to host a small event, they have a private room that is available as well. We've used the facility many times over the years and have never been disappointed. They also recently remodeled and the place looks great. read more

There is something about how they make their pizza that always taste the best. The only concern I have has to do with their service especially the manager. The manager always switches the channels when he wants and when we come in he makes us feel like we are intruding other then that every one else is pretty nice. I so disagree with the previous reviewer. I cannot stand Domino's and Papa Johns. Ewww. But I really like Round Table. We don't eat a lot of pizza but what I like about Round Table is the choice of toppings. I guess I like weird things on my pizza- like arichokes and zucchini. But I highly reccomend the Gourmet Veggie pizza (not greasy at all!!) or if you like meat on your pizza the wombo combo. That's yummy too. had seen the italian trio pizza on tv and it looked really good. so we stopped in tonight to try it out. if the pizza hadn't been in the oven for too long, i'm sure it would've been the way it was supposed to be. scrumptious. the crust was a bit charred, the thick slices of sausage and pepperoni slices were dried out, and the red and green pepper slices were totally dried out. we were the only ones there when we got there, so they weren't rushed. when we left there were only two moms with 2 kids each. not a busy night. upside...everything was clean and in order. salad bar was good. read more

I'm really big on customer service. So much so that I've been known to boycott places that I love simply because someone had given some 'tude on one occasion. That's exactly the case here. I love Round Table and I've had everything from the real deal New York and Chicago style pizza's while visiting those cities to local fav's Blondie's and Pizza Orgasmica. There's something about the consistency of a large classic pepperoni from Round Table. I'll probably continue to frequent the chain, just not this location. Too many "rude" experiences over the phone when ordering. I really hope management reads these Yelp reviews so that the problems with their staff can be remedied. It's not like they're serving something unique where you'd be willing to put up with rudeness, attitude and follow protocol to get "the worlds best soup". I ordered two pizzas online tonight from the round table on 43rd in San Mateo. One of the pizzas was a medium half and half and one half was a veggie and the other side was an all meat specialty pizza. For some reason when I was ordering it the "none"got selected under the toppings for the meat pizza and it took all the toppings off that half. I got charged for the all meat but received a cheese pizza. When I called them they told me they couldn't do anything accept deliver me another pizza because they couldn't credit my credit card since it was an online order. I told them I didn't want another pizza because I already ordered two. The manager came on the phone and told me he could credit me $7 off my next order and I said great, send me an email stating that and he said he couldn't because he didn't have my email address. I told him it was on the order and he said he doesn't have access to any of that. I find it very hard to believe that they have no access to credit a customer for something on the order or get their contact information for the order. I kept persisting that I wanted the credit and he said he couldn't but that I can call tomorrow when his manager is in. I told him that I thought he was the manager and he said "yes" but I'd have to talk to his boss. I'm so aggravated that with all the technology that he isn't capable of crediting me. I will not use my credit card again when ordering a pizza. My last point I want to make is that if you were making my pizza and you saw I ordered, and paid for, a meat pizza that it wouldn't put up a red flag that maybe I made a mistake by taking all the meat off it. I got a cheese pizza and paid for a meat pizza. I am in customer service for a large corporation and I would be fired for treating a customer, employee, like this manager treated me. He actually chuckled on the phone when he said it was my fault and my mistake. I realize I must have done something but it is obvious that I didn't mean to. I'm done with these people that are running a customer service business and really don't care to please the customer. I paid $65 for two pizzas and I feel I deserve something. I guess they are doing me a favor by making my pizza. I worked hard all day and ordered pizza because I didn't have time to cook and then I get burned financially on this. Thanks round table employees. I will make sure none of my friends or family in San Mateo buy from you anymore. You were rude and horrible with assisting me. read more

If I want a chain pizza for take out then the Round Table on 43rd is where I go. Far superior pizza to the Papa John's down the street. Good thin crust, nice sauce, fair amount of topppings with the right kind of Italian sausage that looks like sausage and not pellets.
