I hate to throw hate on a newer mom and pop-ish restaurant, but we had an unforgivably bad dining experience, with staff that just didn't care about how bad it was while they were living it with us. We stopped in on a Saturday at lunchtime and the place was not crowded at all, but also seemed to be barely staffed. Three families, with teens at a table and adults at another. Waitress seemed put out having to wait on us and then it only got worse. We watched tables sit, order, eat and leave while we waited for our food. The waitress made every effort to avoid any eye contact or ever suggest she was checking on our food or apologize for any delays. They were obviously understaffed and after we asked about our food and why others were served, she said there was only one person cooking. I assume he had trouble tackling the large order and just knocked out the small ones. After an hour, our food came out a little bit at a time over 20 minutes. One family left while others were still waiting for food to be served. All this food should be mostly premade and ready to dish and serve. After such a wait, the food was generally disappointing. The kids ate their food because they were famished, but fries were lukewarm, ribs were chewy, brisket was dry. The portions were generous, but it was just average tasting food and We had to get our own silverware, sauces and drink refills... and ask for the check. No thanks, no sorry, no nothing. She gave up before she even started. I sent an message on the website but never received a response. Maybe our experience or day was one-off, but many of the other tables seemed miserable and were walking around looking to pay and leave. read more

After reading some of the reviews I wasn't expecting the food to be any good. But I had an urge to play Keno. I got the lunchtime pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries with an iced tea. This was once a favorite spot. I went for the steakhouse salad, with delicious smoked brisket and those little French fry nubbins with crispy lettuce and blue cheese. Today, I ordered a brisket platter with stale Mac n cheese and really stale corn muffin. Ok, there are bad days. The worst was the beer. When I spend $$ on craft beer, I expect freshness and fizziness. Every draft beer was flat. They stopped serving draft beer after that, they must have gotten a few complaints. It was a Saturday afternoon, so not too busy except for the bar. They did comp us a bottled Bud, which is not craft beer, but ok. Basically, it feels like a restaurant that is not doing well. Pulling up to through the parking lot the sound of the gravel popping off the tires gave me that nostalgic feeling from when I used to camp with the family, so pulling up to a BBQ and pizza place off the beaten path I was very very excited. Walking up through the side door I was starting to get excited, seeing a couple groups of people playing darts, on the other side throwing some cornhole, I got the vibe that the people here definitely knew each other for a while and there was a solid regular scene. This always gives me a good impression that they are doing something right. After I sat down at the bar I was approached by the bartender (Alexis, not Alexa...almost didn't get served for that mistake) literally 2 mins after, and was surprised because she was pouring about 5 drinks at the same time, and still made time to say "hi"...this to me is what a seasoned professional does, so after that I was a happy camper while I waited to order my half price pizza. I got some chili, egg rolls and of course the BBQ...Pizza , loved it...good under carriage, not too thicc, but not to thin...just right for me. The BBQ, although it was a little dry (at 7:30) which is expected when it's cooked fresh everyday. That to me represents authenticity, not a corporate machine, but real bbq that is cooked daily. Another asset to the team was Ruben who on his day off apparently, was still working the room, bar and supporting where needed. The fact I got to know all the staff made me feel at home...definitely a place I will frequent again. Good vibe, good food, and great time. 108 pizza and bbq is a 110 in my book. read more

My family and I live right around the corner and really were not fans of Urban BBQ or Smoketown or whatever the other place was called, so we were excited to see another restaurant move in that we could try cause it's just so close to our house. The girl who took my order on the phone was very friendly, as was the girl at the counter when we came in (may have been the same person.) We got a pretty wide variety - a pulled pork sandwich, fries, jalapeño poppers, Mac and cheese, a salad, a white pizza, hush puppies and baked beans. Literally 100% of this was good. Really big, generous portions, everything was cooked well and very flavorful. So happy to finally have a good restaurant in this spot after a couple of duds. read more

We had hired Route 108 to cater our son's graduation party from Sherwood this past weekend and I could not have been more pleased with the A+ level of service and food! For a month I worked back and forth with Shannon to help me create the most perfect menu and schedule for the day of delivery. Shannon was amazing and the process could not have been easier (and she delivered it herself!) - 100% stress-free and she helped to prepare and customize our meal and organized everything perfectly the day of the event. What a disappointment. When we ordered our food, our server attempted to memorize it. He then came back several minutes later and asked us to repeat the whole thing. When I told him I'd like the bbq brisket, he replied, "which brisket?" I was confused, because there was only one brisket on the menu, so he rephrased his question: "What is brisket?" I didn't know how to reply given that we were at a BBQ RESTAURANT. He left the table, thoroughly confused at what the restaurant served. A few minutes later, he came back for a third time to confirm the order. When the food finally arrived, I received a plate of ribs. I waved down another server to tell them I had ordered brisket. Eventually it arrived, but without any utensils or barbecue sauce, so by the time I got to eat, my food was cold and the rest of my party was pretty much done with their meal. read more

Okay, I am still saying this is the best place to get from in the Olney and Sandy Spring area. However, do not, do not, do not use there delivery service "Slice". They are the worst. Route 108 was not offering delivery tonight but Slice stile took my money and basically said screw you we will reimburse you when we get around to it. Stay far away from delivery orders. They even took the delivery fee and tip. They said that they would give me a credit. How and where do I get that credit? You have been warned. read more

So glad to see this place reopen. Went there specifically to try the pizza. I have not tried the BBQ, but the menu looks very similar to the previous two places. Even the waitress said they offer the same BBQ dishes. The atmosphere is basically the same as Smoketown that was the last place there. On to the pizza... the first time we tried the pizza, I wasn't blown away. However, the ingredients taste fresh and the crust was crispy and delicious. I was surprised at how thin the regular pizza was as they do offer a thin crust too... must be paper thin. The second time we tried the pizza really got me thinking what makes this a good pizza? Again, it doesn't dazzle you, or make you think this is the best pizza you've ever had. However the pizza is delicious. I would choose this pizza over your major chain pizza any day. The ingredients taste fresh, the sauce it good. The crust is consistent. It's very good. I couldn't put my finger on why I was not raving about it more. So here is what I have come to terms with... the pizza is delicious. It has fresh ingredients and is unique enough to stand on its own and be better than a PJs, PH, Domino's, etc... it is a good pie. Is it a destination pizza? Not really. But that's ok because it has a great location where locals should enjoy this pizza and have the owners proud to serve a quality pie. Lastly, the service there is excellent so far. Still getting their feet under them after opening during a pandemic and being able to have more dine in. The bar area looks to have a good crowd and they have a nice outdoor area too. So good luck to 108! Hope to have you there for many years to come. Maybe we'll try the BBQ soon. read more

First time since it changed ownership and sadly not much has changed. Went for the ribs which were 1/2 price but were fair at best. Not fall off the bone at all and it just looked like a sad slab with some kind of sauce that looked all dried out. Took some home but tossed it since it wasn't worth it. The extra sauce was terrible and in little tubs (covid, not sure but yuck). Fries were ok but could have been hotter. Slaw was fine and the roll would have been nice if buttered and grilled, very meh. The pizza next to me looked great and I will definitely go back for it and they had the classic Olney Bella Notte style white. read more

I think this spot has changed owners a few times but I decided to try it last week. The ribs were good as they did a rub as I requested with sauce on the side they were accommodating to do that. Went here last Friday night. All three of our dining party had the two meat combos. My son had a double portion of the ribs,my husband had wings and ribs and I had brisket and ribs. I love this place, BUT they need to get a handle on their opening and closing times. They are never open when they say they are (always late opening), and seem to frequently close early. I hosted a large meeting (about 25 people) at Route 108 for discussions and dinner. We reserved the dining room on a Sunday night. It honestly could not have gone better. They emailed with me ahead of time to prep a preorder. Shannon and her crew were attentive and responsive. You could hear the music from the bar in the other room but just loud enough to hear your favorite song every so often and smile and hum to it. And the food was great! They put out a buffet for us of pulled pork, brisket, ribs, pizza, salad and greens. I had about 25 people there and every single one of them said how great the food was. I will definitely be back. Met a colleague for lunch yesterday and it was our first time eating here. Ann, our server, was delightful, enthusiastic, and attentive. Food was delicious. We both ordered the two "meat" platters with sides. The pulled pork was tender and seasoned well and the tater tots were a favorite of mine! I try not to discourage businesses because everybody has a bad day, but I have been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt for a while. The place is much better than the previous owner- their food was horrendous. Usually, the food is adequate, though a little bland for my taste. My complaint today is for an order of a full rack of ribs, Cesar salad, and tater tots, so how hard could this order be. (Ugh) What I received was a house salad, tater tots that were over cooked and must have been cooked prior to my order because they were cold too. But the main disappointment was the ribs- these must have been cooked days prior because like the tots they were dry, somewhat cold and just totally disappointing. This is not the first time I have had issues with over cooked, cold, or mistaken food given. Let's hope the owner can rectify these issues before we have another restaurant that goes by the wayside. read more

I was SHOCKED and EXCITED to see they had Bella Notte White Pizza on the MENU! I grew up with Bella Notte white pizza and haven't had since they closed years ago in Olney! This pizza was fantastic and everything I remembered! WELL DONE mastering this pizza! I did a split of the pizza with a friend and she really enjoyed it as well! We also split the Cheeseburger and it too was delicious! The bread was very yummy and the burger was made to perfection!
