This is a pretty old school Chinese restaurant, complete with a pot of tea for your table. The service is friendly and efficient but the food is pretty standard fare that you would stereotypically expect in an American town like Longmont. It will fill you up but isn't particularly tasty or satisfying. While I appreciate the warm service, it's the food that would keep me coming back. This WAS my wife's favorite place for Chinese food before today. I almost made it halfway through our meal before biteing into a piece of rancid meat in the fried rice. I had to rush the the restroom to throw up. I should have seen the red flags when half the order was cold and the other half of the plate was scalding hot like it came out of a microwave. Horrible business ethics and a very, very bad experience. Problem: Very rude owner. Not business smart. No customer service skills. She charged me a total of 3 times due to her credit card machine being broken. Solution: I ended up having to turn this over to my bank's fraud department because of all the fraudulent charges (she was STILL running my card for over a week after I had been in the place). I will never eat here again. The food is mediocre "Uncle Ben's" at best. Save your money, or you'll end up paying $90 for and $18 meal...and then have to deal with "Linda" No thanks. read more

This place has the best chinese food around town. I really like their sesame chicken and their lo meins. They have an excellent customer service with the owner always being so friendly. Their portion is very large with a great price. I like how they have complimentary egg rolls for people that do togos. read more

Serves is fast. Wonton soup when I get it and they don't give me the wrong soup is great. They are one of the few place that have honey chicken and it's great but but hair they put broccoli with it. Horrible customer service.. They gave us the wrong meal in my to go order which I didn't discover until I got home. I understand mistakes happen but the way the owner handled the situation was beyond rude. I did try to eat the beef and broccoli I was mistakenly given but it tasted disgusting. After driving back across town (as my family ate at home) and arriving back at the restaurant, she acted like I was a bother to her that I wanted my dinner corrected. I asked if I could get new rice with my chicken (always comes standard with Chinese food) and she got pissed, rolled her eyes and said she'd have to charge me for it. My original rice was in my garbage as it was tainted by the disgusting beef and broccoli. An apology was never offered at any time. Total lack of customer service. read more

This has been my Chinese place since I was born. I've literally been going for 20 years and it has never disappointed. We get the chicken lo mein and sesame chicken every time, and if we're feeling adventurous, we'll get the mu shu pork. We are visiting from out of town and we wanted good Chinese food. Based on the Google reviews, we chose the Royal Wok restaurant and we are so glad we did! The wonton soup was as wonderful as we hoped it would be, and we enjoyed the dipping sauce for the Chinese chips. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and was pleased to find that the shrimp is slightly seasoned and cooked in a most delectable manner. The fried rice was delicious and I personally appreciate the manner in which the ingredients are combined. The service was excellent. My family loves the atmosphere of the Royal Wok! read more

This is probably the best Chinese food I have ever had, anywhere. I had the pan fried noodles, which I pretty much order from every place and they were delicious. I also had the pan fried dumplings, which were again amazing. The cabbage and wontons was amazing, the tea was great, and last but certainly not least the service was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend this place. I actually have been craving more ever since we went two days ago, and I just now finished the leftovers.....I will be back shortly! read more

My wife and I ate diner here tonight , we've been coming here for as long as it's been here. Always very good ,having said that I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food ,but I Iike this place alot . My wife is a Huge fan of Chinese food and this is her favorite . It's a nice change of from our usual fare . As of now I have decided to include in my reveiws a close up "Look see" at all Salt And Pepper shakers to include condement bottles when aplicable. Mostly for cleanliness as this has always been a pet peeve of mine BUT also for the pour rate on PEPPER shakers as they have driven me nuts for years ,shake for 30 seconds and NOTHING .....AHHH ! SO I am happy to report that the S&P shakers were very good ! Pepper pour or shake rate was excellent and nice and clean too . Very cool large arjuna fish to see too. Gary read more

So this is my love / hate Chinese restaraunt. I love it because they do make some good Chinese food. Their sweet and sour pork and their beef and broccoli could be a weekly staple for me. Now the hate part is their service. We've only ordered take out and EVERY time they get our order wrong. They really aren't that friendly over the phone or in person and always seem to be in a rush. read more

First visit: Nice decor. Bright and not crowded. I had hot sour soup which was average. The soup was gravy style versus broth which I prefer. The Kung poa chicken was bountiful and good. Again the sauce was too heavy for my taste. They served fried chips with sweet and sour as comp appetizer which was a nice touch. The service was prompt and very fast. read more

This place sucks in many respects. First, the most important part: the food tastes worse than bad. I ordered without great expectations - other than edible food. I would not feed this food to my worst enemies. I went there in somewhat of a hurry and very hungry. I was greeted - wait, I was not greeted, I was scowled at when I walked in. No smile, no "Welcome" more like this vibe from the person at the host(ess) station - an older fat asian woman - of complete contempt for me. I did not care about her - I was hungry and had not eaten all day. After the rude person seated me - again with complete contempt - I was approached by a rude wait person who also conveyed some inexplicable deep hatred of me. Again, I did not care. I was hungry and wanted food. The food arrived - after about 25 minutes - was piping hot and, after it cooled, I took a bite (sesame chicken). It tasted horrible. AND I WAS FAMISHED! I was so hungry that I had no time to complain - I just wanted to get something palatable in my mouth that would not make me feel like throwing up. I thus went to Burger King across the parking lot and ordered a whopper. My advice: Do not waste your money on the Royal Wok - it tastes like crap and is probably less sanitary and healthy than the food at BK or Mickey D's or Taco Bell - and I say that more or less hating those places. read more

Attractive interior with great service. Go in there and check out their massive fish they have in their tank, wow! Very good food and the servers work very diligently. Spicy garlic edamame and salt and pepper tofu are the vegetarian highlights for me. I have had the vegetarian egg foo yung, broccoli and garlic sauce, broccoli and cashew, and they were all good. Everything else on the meat side I am told by my dining companions is quite delicious: cashew chicken, sesame beef, sesame chicken,chicken fried rice, orange chicken, beef lo mein, wonton soup, and crab Rangoon all have been touted to me as well above average. read more

Great chinese food on the local budget! hot and crispy rangoons, delicious lomein and crisp steamed veggies! I usually order for pickup but this time i ate there to scope out the atmosphere inside and it was not disappointing! nice and clean inside, a couple TVs at the bar but a nice quiet open dinning room great for families. read more

I will never eat here again. I tried a number of times because we live locally. The mother who runs the place is always distracted and the daughter who is the waitress is always incredibly rude. The food is mediocre and almost always arrives cold or just not well prepared. We tried many times but eventually it just got worse and worse. The last time I was there I called in my order to go and when I arrived my food literally sat on the table for 20 minutes while the mother and daughter ran around. When I finally got my food the daughter had so much attitude I almost didn't pay and wanted to leave. I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody and I don't really understand how they stay in business. I love good food, and I love good Chinese food, neither of those two criteria apply to this restaurant. read more

Ahh, this was the worst Chinese I ever had. I ordered here before and it was good but this time they got the order completely wrong. The food that I got was tasteless and old. I ordered General Tso Chicken and got something that looked like Cashew Chicken and I had that before but this was bad. Fried rice had no flavor, hot & Sour soup had too much black pepper, and the rest was not right. I had all this before but they got the order wrong and the stuff that they replaced it with was not really good. I can't believe they are still in business. read more

We have been going to christmas dinner here for the past 5 years and after today I will NEVER go in again our waiter didnt ask us what we wanted to drink we had to wave him down then it took 15 minutes the cocktails came out at two different times no refills we ordered 5 entrees after an hour we got one and then after 10 more minutes and none of the other food and not getting requested sauces my family and I decided to leave. people waiting everywhere should have left sooner. there are plenty of other asian resturants open. and they still had the nerve to charge us 40 bucks for two cocktails three sodas and eggrolls. never agian we will find a new Christmas tradtion read more
