One of the best restaurants in Westchester. Elegant, comfortable and classy. When you walk in you feel like you're being invited to someone's home. The whole restaurant has a vibe that just makes you want to be there. Service is excellent and the food is outstanding. If you can do a Caeser Salad that stand out, you know they're doing something right. The Caeser Salad was cold, crunchy, crisp and dressed perfectly and had a slight lemony tang to it which was wonderful. Our entrees were great. Flavorful, beautifully presented and very unique. My Napolean was unqiue and one of the best I've had with a crunchy consistency and yet savory and sweet. The only recommendations I would have is to serve the bread warm and at these prices I think they could increase the portion sizes by about 20 %. Not a complaint just a suggestion. Shame the beautiful decor and excellent food had to be tarnished by an inattentive, cold waiter! It was the first time there for my friend and I. Our waiter never came by once to ask how our appetizer or meal was. Never returned to see if we wanted another glass of wine. Yet we could see him just standing around or schmoozing with the diners who he did know. (and it was not crowded, a Sunday evening) The outside dining was lovely. I had the mushroom ravioli as an app and it was amazing! My friends' pear salad looked exquisite. She loved her osso bucco and my veal chop was like butter! The sides did leave something to be desired: mashed potatoes and plain green beans. We also loved our specialty cocktails and the chocolate dessert and the creme brulee. I don't think you would ever go wrong with the food here--but for the amount of the bill--I'd expect superb service, which we didn't get. read more

I had dinner here last night and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. I tend to read up on all the reviews of a restaurant before going.. so I can debunk some of the negatives I read about Rraci's. We had an 8 pm reservation, we arrived at 7:45 and we were asked if we would like to be seated.. We received a nice corner table (there were 4 of us). The place was quite packed so the service was not as quick as some people might like; however, the service itself is on par. They all work as a team and we didn't have to wait too long for anything. The bread they give is fresh and delightful. Tap water did not taste bad despite what others have said. And the bathrooms were clean, and well lit. Finally, the food. It was amazing. None of us left an empty plate and we literally just kept picking off of each other's plates. I had the pollo di nonna and I enjoyed it very much. My family is already talking about going back. Please give this place a try if you can. If you're nervous about the service or the wait, put that aside just so you can try the great food. :) read more

Best Italian in Somers area, and trust me i've tried them all I've been working up in danbury for a while, i live in a hotel so eat out a lot. Been to most of the italian places near by, all on route 6, like spacci, etc. This is the best. alittle more expensive than the others but worth the money. The chicken and sausage is delicious!! Second time here and it was just as amazing as the first time! They had some fantastic specials of which I had an amazing lobster cocktail appetizer and a fettuccini entree with shrimp. I had the chocolate mousse cake and a cappuccino for dessert and both were heavenly! This place is a real gem. Granted, we had no reservation but they did find us a table. Drinks okay. Tonic water was flat. Appetizers were also only okay. The rest was a disaster. Could not find our waiter. Forgot to pre order souffle. Dinner took awhile to come out. Order was wrong when it did come. People who came in after us were done and leaving. Two or three people asked us to repeat our order. Finally came out half an hour later. While finishing our meal, the tables next to us had a group of visitors who were leaving swarm the space to start up a conversation. Their butts were in our faces. We motioned to the staff who did nothing to control the situation. We got up and asked for our check. They tried to charge us for the dessert we never got. My grandmother has been coming here for YEARS and we've become accomplices in her excursions for excellent food and service. First, the food here is superb. The nightly specials always make me consider if I should go classic with the amazing dishes on the menu or if I should deviate and try something new. Tonight I went classic with the Carbonara. Perfectly al dente and seasoned wonderfully. Grandma called an audible and did the filet mignon (on the menu) with Gorgonzola (on a special) and the staff was more than happy to oblige. Second, the service here is what puts it above the rest. The staff remember our names, our cocktails, our wine preferences, and all our other quirks. Service alone was great. Our waiter took off a meal from our bill after we expressed our dissatisfaction with it. The food portions were medium to small sized. Good but nothing special. I have been here twice in a month. Both times the wines was flowing and the food was on point. The pasta is made in house and you can tell. The special are very special and tasty. The food remind me of the old Italian recipes that my great grandma made. Haven't had a bad meal their yet. The service is on point and very good. Rraci's Restaurant has been around for so long that it really needs no review. You don't stay in business for so many years without giving the patrons something extraordinary. This is one of our favorite evening out restaurants, white tablecloth service, generous drinks and superior staff. The food is just marvelous. I am a fish eater and I've never had anything less than perfectly fresh, outstandingly prepared Bronzino or sole or salmon. Pastas are all special, just choose your favorite and you will never go wrong. For the quality and beauty of this restaurant I find it moderately priced. Thank God rracci's is close to our house and we can sample its food often. I just wish they'd open for lunch once in a while, I'm often starving for a nice linguine with clam sauce at one in the afternoon! read more

I was leaning towards assigning a 3 * but thought : 5 Star = Exceptional. See you again. 4 Star = Wow. Good. (but there was a problem with......) 3 Star = Ho - Hum. - I can cook this dish as well or better. 2 Star = Yikes! This places will be closing in a few months. 1 Star = Call 911. So assigning this rating system to Rraci - (but there was a problem with.....) The swordfish 'Special' was tasty, thinner cut than told and not even close to being worth $39. If the 'Special' was priced at $29, a 5 Star may have been assigned. The same goes for the overpriced Short Rib 'Special' my bride ordered. A return visit may take awhile. read more

We go to Rraci's frequently and usually are very satisfied, tonight was the exception though, waiter was not attentive and bus boys way to quick to take our plates or drink glasses even though food and alcohol was still noticeable. Fish was delicious tasting but outrageously overpriced, $39 for a piece of Chilean sea bass that was definitely the tail piece of filet and was no more than 5oz. Complained to the waiter who brought over the manager and after a long explanation of how it costs him $25/lb he decided to take off $6. BTW our bill was $432 , needless to say we were dissatisfied in his decision. We will go back but never will order the fish. read more

Let me start by saying that this was my first experience at Rraci, and I was blown away at the attention paid to every detail. The ambiance: Incredible. Definitely a wonderful setting for lovely date night. Intimate, dimly light, and not too loud so that one can enjoy the conversation of their company, white table cloth. Wine: Selection was impressive. I opted for a Nebbiolo from the list which was delicious. Appetizer: the baked clams were outstanding. My girlfriend is not a huge fan of shellfish, but she had absolutely no problem putting down half of the clams offered. I of course finished off the other half with complete delight. Ceasar salad: without question, the most delicious Caesar salad I've ever had. I recently ordered a Caesar salad at a HIGH end steakhouse in Washington DC, and all I could think of the DC caesar is that it was not anywhere near as delicious as Rracis caesar. Definitely recommend. Dinner: gf ordered the carbonara and I ordered the bronzini special served on a cedar plank. The carbonara was prepared in traditional Italian fashion. Rich, creamy (yolky), and tons of flavor. Absolutely delicious. My bronzini filet was cooked to perfection. Moist, flavorful and delicate. Paired with whipped potatoes and perfectly sautéed string beans, the combination was divine. Dessert: we were presented with a complimentary creme brûlée, which I typically wouldn't have ordered, but surprisingly I loved every bite. The dessert, and espresso was a great way to lightly end a perfect dinner. All in all, can't wait to head back and enjoy a second dinner. Will definitely be back! read more

Food price / quality ratio 8. The atmosphere is very warm, lit with a subtle ambiance and accented with a lot of wood. I've been to this restaurant around 30 times now. It has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Lately, however, the prices have been getting out of control. On my last visit I had a tuna steak special entree, that was undercooked even though I asked that it be cooked through. There did not seem to be much effort put into preparing the entree, and it was $46. It was lacking in flavors and it had plain green beans and plain mashed potatoes as side vegetables. The saving grace for this entree was the bed of hand cut red and yellow cherry tomato and mango salsa . One of the reasons I go to this restaurant is they have a Grand Marnier souffle, or other type of souffle. Those souffles are now 30% smaller than they used to be, no longer are served in a candied-sugar coated ramiken, and now cost $17. That's $68.00 for dessert for a table of four, which is way overpriced in my opinion. In addition, the wine pours seem to be a little bit small and (just my opinion), are a little overpriced as well. It's still a really nice restaurant, clean, good service etc,, but I have lowered their rating because it appears to me that the prices are too high for the offering and the area.
