She said that they request that spouses be present so they can answer any of their questions. I explained that my husband works 80+ hours/week and is too busy (nor does he care). We were tired of trying to maintain our grass in the backyard. In the southern CA heat, the watering schedule couldn't keep up and we had so much dead grass and weeds. A friend recommended ruff n tuff turf to us. She mentioned the pet turf option and immediately we looked into it. This company is very responsive and we were able to have Lucas come out to us to help design and price out our project the same week I called. Lucas spent hours measuring things out and going over different designs. He went over pricing and helped us save a lot of money with different incentives (ask your sales rep for how to save money when they come out). We opted to just do the backyard for now due to the price, but when we are ready for the front we will certainly use this company again. Once we signed the contract, that same week they called to schedule the installation and we had new turf within 2 weeks! They did the entire install in 1 day. For those who don't know, turf is not cheap. My husband was shocked at the price, however you do get what you pay for. This company has amazing warranties and the quality of the turf is incredible. Having two large dogs, we were concerned with the smell and how the turf would hold up to having them on it. I will update my review as time goes on, but so far so good! My husband and I LOVE the way it looks and our dogs love how it feels. Our puppy cannot stop rolling around on the new turf. I walked out onto the turf barefoot in the middle of the day to test the temperature. The hot cement hurt my feet but the turf felt great! I was very impressed at how cool it felt, especially since a lot of people expressed that turf can get SO hot in the sun. No more dirt and dead grass for the dogs to run in and track inside! The back feels so much cleaner and since the install, we have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of bugs/flies! I would definitely recommend this company for anyone who wants turf! We did not get the pavers or anything else this time, so I cannot speak to that, but as I mentioned earlier we will certainly use ruff n tuff turf when we are ready to redo our front yard. read more

A representative named Anthony came to my home and explained all about the turf, where it was made, showed me a sample of the grass, how it would be installed, the kind of sand they used compared to others, what kind of weed barrier they used and how they install the turf. I had several estimates and they were the highest, but when I thought about what the other companies offered I decided to contact Anthony and ask him to send me a written contract and he did But the estimate was not the same as first estimate, however, he made it right with the first estimate. We texted back and forth until I was satisfied. I did a lot of research on their company and their licenses and everything was legitimate, after signing the contract, a few days later the installers call to schedule the installation & called back to install one day earlier. About 8:00 am the supplies was loaded at my residence, soon thereafter the installation crew arrive and immediately began work. It was amazing how they worked to tear up my lawn and prepare for the installation. CONS: after installing, I was not completely satisfied because I was suppose to have serpentine S cut to seam the turf together so you would not see any seams and that was not done , and then they tried to install a piece around my driveway & it was not enough turf so they wanted to piece it. I said no because I paid too much money to have my turf pieced, so I talk with Larry the manager team of the installers and made it good. They ordered more turf , came back and replaced the turf and laid it to my satisfaction. It was originally installed on Thursday and they came back on Saturday and installed it to my satisfaction. read more

I'm so happy I went with ruff n tuff turf. I honestly didn't think it would look this nice. The dirt around my backyard had been an eyesore for me since I moved in and with 3 big dogs I felt limited in viable options for a long term fix. But then I found Ruff n Tuff Turf and Tikesha went through the durability and longevity of the turf during my in home visit. The process is easy with Ruff N Tuff as well. I filled out the questionnaire on their website, received a text message from them within 24 hours asking what I wanted and had ideas of. The in-home visit for estimation and questions was scheduled for a couple days later and I chose to go with Ruff n Tuff. I received an email with my contract and was told it'd take about 2 weeks for install but I received a text from Justin a few days later and they had available days the same week. Install was easy, the delivery person dropped off the turf exactly when Justin said he would. Then the installers arrived and confirmed where I wanted the turf. A day and half later my yard looked great. All-in-all it was about a two week process from inquiry to completion. Ann Marie is very helpful throughout the process as well, she always answered my phone calls and went over any questions I had. We had a beautiful project done by this company we were happy with the project until the heavy rock began encroaching on our siding bowing it in. There was no barrier placed to prevent this from happening. I reached out to the company for them to come look at it and possibly look into installing a barrier that really should have been installed in the first place. It is a heavy traffic area and the designer was able to see that it was. An appropriate barrier would have prevented this. The Company has offered to fix the problem for $350 dollars. They state that it happened because of heavy traffic and not a design issue. It's not a large area. It is ruining our siding! I guess we are fresh out of luck! read more

So awesome! I literally had these guys in my home last weekend for a quote and by Friday, it's installed completely! For us, the project was done in one day! I asked if they could squeeze me in, so my yard would look nice for my baby shower this weekend and they did! From the get-go, these guys are really professional. We had turf Installed under playground set. Turf is really nice. I would recommend you use them for turf. The extra project they did was river rock on part of the yard and wrapping around the turf. It was pricey for our budget but the rocks are very pretty. A week out the grass is out around rocks. Right now more than a month out I have to spray round up and clip down. A lot of work. I would probably not hire them for anything other than the turf. I was told it does happen rarely, I think they said 1/40 homes will have this problem due to seeds? Use them for turf and maybe skip the extra projects just in case you have my luck. read more

We love Ruff n Tuff Turf! Honestly, the whole process from start to finish was so smooth and quick... it almost seemed too easy (in a good way!). From my initial request, they were able to get us a same day in home consultation by the INCREDIBLE John Michael who helped us decide exactly what we needed and why. I literally couldn't stop "petting" the grass sample... it's so soft compared to others we've seen. And it TRULY looks like freshly cut grass. We knew their product was the one for us with 5 kids and a dog. And John Michael was so personable and friendly and helpful... by the end of the meeting we felt like we'd known him for years. Lucas spent 5 hours being over persistent and over bearing trying to persuade my husband and I to get the grass. Obviously, for that price we didn't call them back. Go figure why, 5 days later I received a letter in the mail about my yards that Lucas inspected for a quote to be devaluing of the city and filled with vegetation. I had someone from RNT come out to give me a free quote for Artificial grass. The worst experience ever! The older gentleman kept saying over & over "I get paid whether you go with us or not, No pressure." When we told him we needed to get another quote to compare, he turned into Mr Hyde. First he quoted us $26,000 for 700 sq ft. (Top grade grass, gopher net, rocks around perimeter). He said if we write a review on Yelp he would discount 4,000 now it's 22,000, we still declined then he asked would you do it right now for $20,000. We said no and he became so upset that he started badgering us to take his deal, interrogating us as to why we are not taking his deal! We had to hear his berating spill for 1.5 hours. Appt was at 2 and he finally left at 5:30 pm. B4 leaving he was fuming then writes on a flyer the new price and said, (if you decide to go with us it is now $32,050). What A Nightmare. RNT need to vet their employees b4 they send them out into people's home. read more
