Did you know this is a local, family owned, business? If not, you do now! I'm a huge fan of eating local. We visited Rugby House at 5pm on a Saturday night. This was not a busy time for them. I suspect its hoping & jumping during their happy hour which is 9pm to 11pm. Not busy worked for us during COVID. All 3 of us ordered the fish & chips. Nice sized fish planks, thick, cooked perfectly, and just enough batter to have that crispy texture. We really enjoyed it. I love tarter sauce with fish. They serve a tarter sauce made in house unlike any I've ever had. It was like a salad dressing rather than a chunky dip. It was unique, flavorful and delicious!! Then we asked about desserts. I always ask if its brought in or made in house. The owner smiled and said with great pride, "we make everything from scratch." We tried the homemade brownie. It was topped with vanilla ice cream and a few sweet berries. It was more than enough for all 3 of us. I would definitely order that again. $6.00 We will definitely go back. We've been looking for good fish, thanks to the positive Yelp reviews we gave them a try and this place is now in our top 5 list for weekly rotation.

Came in for Sunday brunch and we didn't have quite the experience as the first time. Decided to sit again at the bar.. their were two bartenders working and the restaurant wasnt all that busy. I had asked for two different beers from their draught list and were informed they were out. I felt slighted by the bartenders attitude a few times and we had to call for their attention when we needed something. I did order the rueben and it was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but it was good. The meat seemed a little flaky. Hard to explain. I ended up ordering a bloody mary. It didn't come with sll the bus snd whistles that I've had st other bars, but it was drinkable.

We never knew this place existed until my wife had a hair appointment close by. I was impressed by its authenticity as a Pub from the British Isles. Smithwick's on Tap! Bangers and Mash, Shepherd's Pie! Come On! I had the Shepherds Pie and it was delish! It was a slow time but service was spot on. Great accidental discovery and we will be back for sure.

I love little pubs. I haven't been here at night or during happy hour. I haven't even had a drink here. So... what am I doing here? Eating their food and enjoying the quieter atmosphere during the weekday lunch times. I probably shouldn't give my secret hiding spots away but this is one of them. The food here is great and it was unexpected. I didn't intend on coming here during my first visit. I was planning to go to Yama but I subconsciously drove a little further down and parked here instead to avoid parking near other people. (My car and I have agoraphobia.) So, I thought I'd give Rugby House a try instead of going to Yama. And I'm glad I did! The fish and chips are good. I don't always care for cole slaw but it's great here. Great enough for me to sub fries with extra slaw... and I LOVE fries. The server/bartender was friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. One of these days, I'll get a drink here.

I think this place is highly underrated! The place has an amazing atmosphere, typical pub though. It's very chill and has booth and regular tables. It can seat small and large parties. It's on the smaller size though, and they don't take reservations. The food is really good, it was tasty and fresh, and service was prompt and attentive. They have a good selection of beers, and cocktails. If you want to watch a game and just enjoy some good company while being able to talk, this is the place!

This place has a great neighborhood bar feel to it. The bartenders know their beers and are ready to offer suggestions if you're having trouble choosing from their above average selection. The patio is dog friendly, which gives this place extra stars from me. The bartenders even know some of the regular dog visitors by name. I was impressed with their food specials and wish we hadn't eaten earlier. After staying there longer than we should have ,we ordered their yummy baked pretzels that tasted great with our beers. Their happy hour prices are very good and so are their daily drink specials. We will definitely be visiting this place often.

Wow. Amazing food. Not "bar" food, it's actually really well prepared and flavorful! Best cheese fries I have ever had. Great beer selection! I went with my mother, teenage son and husband and thought it would be awkward in a Pub setting but the staff is so friendly and attentive. Menu is large; I couldn't decide what to get! I will definitely be coming here more often.

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!

We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. The outdoor seating overlooking greenery and events they do at the restaurant make the place quite different - we will definitely be back soon to try other options on the menu.

We walked into the bar 90 minutes before kickoff and found a table in the middle of the bar that could accommodate our party and had good viewing of the screens. As we went to sit down, a man approached us and told us that the table we were sitting at was for some "regulars" and asked us to move. The table had no sign on it that it was reserved and this man did not identify himself as an owner or manager of the establishment. Choosing to take the high road, I moved our group to another table that could accommodate our party that was off to the side. Sure enough, the "regulars" came rolling in shortly before kickoff to their "unreserved" reserved table. This is just bad business. And discourages people who are not "regulars" from coming to the bar. I regularly attend a Chicago Bears bar in Los Angeles where I live and have never had such issues. There are no unspoken "reserved" tables for "regulars." It's completely first come, first serve as it should be. If you want your "regulars" to have their table waiting for them when they arrive, just stick a reserved sign on it. Or tell them to get there early. Not difficult. We also waited forever for our drinks while the "regulars" at their "unreserved" reserved table were kept fully stocked. The service and the food was mid anyway and not worth the price.
