I've been for brunch a couple of times now and enjoyed it. The brunch menu is small, but the full regular menu is available to order off of. Prices are very reasonable. The food has all been mostly good. My favorite is the biscuits and gravy. The breakfast tacos were only okay. I didn't care much for the sausage, and they needed more cheese. A bacon or chorizo option would be nice. One of my dining companions had corned beef hash & eggs and said it was great. I tried a scotch egg for the first time and it was tasty. Definitely something I'd order again. Their bloody marys are really good. They're strong and only $3! I ordered medium for one and it was a bit too spicy, but had mild the next round and it was perfect. Service was great on both visits. I'll be coming back! read more

Beer on tap, irish-y menu (did not eat in this visit) and an Ohio state bar! We made it here after we were really wanting some poke...complete opposite, right? When we learned that it was an Ohio State bar we knew we had to add this to our list to visit for football games. There aren't too many Ohio State bars around and this seemed like a great atmosphere for game viewing! We'll be back! Update! We've been back many times! This was the first place I have been to since Texas started reopening and I am blown away. We wanted to sit outside because I am still a little hesitant with enclosed areas. My wife convicted me to sit inside because of the heat... can I just say WOW! They have taken every precaution to ensure the safety of their clientele and their staff. Social distancing is being observed, every time someone leaves their seat the staff is right there sanitizing. In the hour I've been here I've seen them clean high traffic areas 4 times. And of course the food was amazing. I will come back here every time I get the urge to come out because they are clearly doing it right! read more

Three of us had a late lunch here today. One had an Italian sub who stated it was very good. The other two of us both had the smoked brisket tacos. They were great. NOT Ethical or Professional Management We had reservations for a Christmas get-together for over a month for a group of 35. We even confirmed the same day. The female we spoke with (won't indicate name) to confirm that early afternoon assured us that everything was ready to go and we would have the back room for our group. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and our room had been given aware to a "corporate - Capital One client." We had 35 women with Xmas presents and we had to sit in the regular pub which was very noisy and not conducive to our needs. Most of our group have indicated they will never recommend or revisit this restaurant again. The service was friendly but VERY slow. I don't think they were staffed for two big parties. The reason I gave it two stars was the place was exactly what the name says, a pub, and it was nicely done. The management, after displacing us, provided a few gifts to use in our raffles. It's too bad they don't honor their commitments. If someone more "VIP" wants the place, you are going to be out of luck if you make reservations. Sorry, I can't recommend a place that treats customers differently based on the jiggle in their pocket. read more

Unfortunately, yesterday we watched the U.S. lose to Belgium at Rugby House Social Club. It was packed and we had fun. So, why only 2 stars? If it were not for our waitress I'd be giving 3 stars. Our waitress (I don't know her name but I'll describe her to you for avoidance; She was a tomboyish female (dressed male like) with a very short hair cut.) was VERY rude. Maybe she was overwhelmed with the number of people in the bar during such a big sporting event. Her answers to our questions were short as if bothered. She got smart with one of the people in our group. Fortunately, the place was so loud, the bulk of our group did not hear what she said. I was in that bulk. When I was going to ask her to repeat what she said one of my friends told me to ignore her and not let her ruin our time there. I listened. On a better note, Rugby House Social Club is clean. I did not use the restrooms so that adjective may not go far. They have fans to cool you off. Unfortunately, there aren't many of them. They do have a lot of televisions. They are strategically placed so you never have to strain your neck or eyes to view a screen. The food is served pipping hot and was tasty. Now, on to the drinks. To me, the drinks tasted funny. Keep in mind I'm not a drinker as I've said in my past reviews. I do know a watered down drink. The drinks weren't noticeably watered down. However, in some drinks I tasted more seltzer (fizz) than alcohol. I don't think I'd go back to this place again. read more

I actually learned how to play Rugby here. Yep, I sure did. The people at this bar are amazingly friendly. I love the fish and chips here and you just can't go wrong with the big pretzels. The boyfriend always orders the Bangers and Mash and is never disappointed. The best part has to be the draught beer menu. Oh, beware. They do have kids running around. This past Friday, we were on a quest to find thr Rugby House, and it's not that it was hard to find, we just weren't sure which shopping center it was in. But once we pulled in and saw the building looming there, I was very excited. Besides the Londoner, we don't have a British pub close to where we live. Inside, the place was seemingly well lit, and has more of a resturant feel to it rather than a pub and it didn't give me that nostalgic feel for London. But that's okay because our waiter was attentive. And the food was good. I got the Irish club sandwich which I pretty much inhaled. My wife got a burger she said was tasty and I got my sister-in-law's left over sheppard's pie for lunch the next day, which heated up well and made my belly full. They have a decent drink selection for beer and also some cider. Good service, good food, and decently priced. Rugby House is worth checking out. read more

My wife and I stopped in here on one of our rare nights away from our daughter. We love the pub atmosphere and Rugby House looked like it had all the qualities for some great food and a fun night. We walked in and knew right away this place was going to be GOOD. The restaurant is a good size able to accommodate quite a bit of people either at tables or at the bar. As far as the decor, they have all sorts of sports memorabilia up on the walls, plenty of flat screens throughout and gives you that warm wonderful feel of sports pub. They have a great selection of different types of beers and a fantastic selection of appetizers, soups & salads, entrees, and burgers & sandwiches. I decided to try a new style of beer and went with Trois Pistoles Canada ($7.00), which is a dark beer that goes down very smoothly and is full of flavor. The waitress actually recommended it and I was very impressed by her choice. She was very knowledgeable about the beers. As far as the appetizers we went with the Beer Battered Onion Rings ($5.99), probably some of the best onion I have had. They a were so good. We also got the Giant Soft Pretzels, two come per order ($6.99). The pretzels were big and fluffy and absolutely fantastic. For the main entree my wife ordered the Fish & Chips, made with beer battered haddock, hand cut fries and slaw ($12.99). I got the British Po'boy made with beer battered haddock with cheddar, tartar sauce, slaw on a hoagie roll and hand cut fries ($9.99). Both meals were better than we could have hoped for. Full of great flavor and the haddock was cooked perfectly and very moist. This is defiantly a great place for anyone who loves tasty pub food and sports, because it has it all. read more

I was in Texas for work and, of course, was looking for a good place with a good beer selection. I did a Yelp search for beer and this place came up. I was pretty excited to check it out because it was one of the only places that was open pretty late on a Sunday night. When my coworker and I arrived I noticed it wasn't too busy. That made sense because it was pretty late. There was a huddle of people that were probably regulars. They just had that "regular" look about them and they were pretty rowdy. We sat at the bar and were immediately served by a very nice girl with short hair. I ordered a beer and my friend ordered a cocktail. When her drink arrived I could tell it was very strong. This definitely seemed like a place that makes strong drinks. We ordered food, I ordered the sliders and my coworker ordered the fish n chips, and it came out pretty quickly. The sliders were pretty good and I couldn't complain. My coworker's fish n chips didn't look that great and when I tasted them I wasn't surprised that they didn't taste that great either. It looked like they were cooked in old grease. All in all, the service was good and this is probably a cool place to watch football (soccer) and rugby games. read more

We haven't been here for a while, but we were in the area so we opted to try it out again. I've always thought their beer selection was above average, and it still looked pretty good with some curated drafts ranging from lagers and ales, wheat's and ciders, hoppy ipas, to darks and stouts. I started with the Blanche de Bruxelles and my wife had the Estrella Damm - something I drink in Barcelona like tap water. We started with the brisket nachos but instead of tortilla chips, they use their homemade potato chips. I thought they were a great variation, but my wife likes her nachos old school so she wasn't as impressed. She had the Southwest Chicken club and I had the Reuben sandwich after asking the waitress's opinion between that and the club. Her response was simple and smart, "You could probably make the club at home, but you're not going to make our Reuben at home," so I went for the latter. It was a really good choice, and the fries had a nice crunchy texture. I also had a Martin House Cellerman's Reserve that was very tasty. I do have to say the burger my son got off the kids menu was probably one of the more flavorful I've tasted, so snaps all around. read more

Love this place! They have a good beer selection. If you''re ever unsure of what to get, the bartenders are very helpful. Beer selections change regularly and the craft brews they bring in are usually phenomenal. I really like the people who work here. Ask for John when you go. Ask for his amazing turkey chili. Ask him to put it on top of some fries with some cheese, onions and jalapenos....so good. What I'm trying to say is that the food is good! They have an in house chef (actually I think its John) that makes the food so it's not your typical bar fare. They have a few Irish dishes that need to be eaten. Try the Reuben or the Sheppard's pie on a cold day with a nice porter or IPA! Its a good environment to hang out in as well. Not like usual bars we tend to go to when I'm back home. The decor is that of a...well rugby house. They have rugby and soccer paraphernalia on the walls and usually have a game playing on one of their many TVs. This is my go-to bar, not just for the great rotating beer selection, but for the outstanding food. Their food is easily the best "bar" food I've ever had. Calling it bar food actually does it a disservice. I've had nearly everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Try the French dip and watch your head explode. I am a huge fan of this place. Good happy hour specials, they have my Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse on the draught menu, and the food is actually delicious! I've tried the spinach artichoke dip (VERY creamy), the pizza, and the pretzels. They have TVs set up, there is a small patio, a large bar area, some booths, and a back room with two pool tables and some dartboards. The pool tables are pay tables (quarters). Really casual atmosphere for a happy hour, watching a game, or even a late-night dinner. We tried to go for trivia one night but the trivia never happened. I love this place! Me and my wife go her at least once a week. Its a great place to meet up with friends and just hang. The Food: I haven't had something I haven't liked. The burgers are great, if your man enough the rugger is awesome. The chicken alfredo is very good, it's my wife's favorite. The fish and chips are wonderful, the English side of my family said they remind them of home. The Drinks: A lot of beers to chose from and they always have something different in every month. They make a mean bloody mary and they are not skimpy with their cocktails. The Staff: Very nice and always on top of things. All and all I can't think of anything bad about this place. The positive is there seems to be good tap options and this is definitely a full bar with decent music. Bar staff seems indifferent if you are not part of their inner circle so be prepared to be somewhat ignored and have to listen to staff woes. Since the tap choices are good, I could live with the staff if the food was at least edible. We've tried several dishes and the final choice of Cowboy Nachos was the worst and last plate we will try. The sparse brisket not only had a overly sweet barbecue sauce, but tasted old. We decided to avoid the meat and work around the weird mixture of sour cream and potato chips. Excellent food, generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly service. I haven't had anything here I didn't like, and several items that were truly outstanding. It's really hard to eat healthy here (gotta resist Shepherd's Pie, Fish & Chips, Corned Beef & Cabbage, etc.), but it can be done if you're determined. I don't think I've tried a dessert...always too full! My friends who are beer aficionados appreciate the broad selection of brews and the specials, and even an alcoholic lightweight like me has learned to appreciate several ciders. I'm part of a group that meets here monthly and it's a fine location for a social gathering. Our crowd enjoys it very much. However, I wouldn't recommend it for a formal meeting, speaker or other presentation. The separate meeting space is only quasi-private - there are walls that don't go to the ceiling, no doors, and the restaurant is loud. It might work for a lunch meeting, but not for an evening event. read more
