Dinner was very erratic. Cocktails were fair, nothing special. Appetizers were ok but we never got to finish before our mains came! Brought to management attention but they could care less- couldn't even be bothered to come to the table! It felt like the kitchen was totally out of sync with the front of house which resulted in a VERY rushed dining experience. Honestly it felt like any national chain just eat, pay your bill and get out. For the price you can certainly do better! read more

Hmmmmm.....can something be too much of a chain? Fried grouper sandwich was just "meh" and not really sure it was even grouper. The clams were just delicious and the wedge salad very good. The waitress was nice but never came back to check so we didn't get any sauce or drink refills. Too expensive to get this kind of food and service. read more

The food and service were good overall. I will say the Filet was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The broccoli that comes with it was cold and not so good. Has the broccoli been cooked and seasoned better this dish would have earned 5 stars. We ordered a few cocktails from the bar and they were all good. My family and I had a good experience sitting at the bar for happy hour! They had several snacks on happy hour special, so we ordered a few to share. While nothing was spectacular, they were all pretty good. We sat at the bar and had good service. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were strong. I had a delicious rumrunner true to their name. They also have plenty of seating indoors and outside if you prefer a table. Live music outside is always fun! read more

My husband had the French Onion soup and it was absolutely delicious, great broth. He also had the Prime Rib Shaved sandwich with roasted potatoes which he said was delicious. I had the Turkey, Brie, fig marmalade and bacon sandwich work sweet potato fries, an amazingly delicious sandwich. The service was excellent, we weren't rushed but given time to savor our food. Back a year later and what a difference there was. Service was slow and our server acted annoyed that we were there. No personality with no smile at all. our "1/2 pound" burger was definitely not 1/2 pound and was lackluster. My Paloma was the worst cocktail I had ever had. Asked for a ranch when our food came and had to remind her when we flagged her down, I had maybe 4 fries left and a bite of burger when it came. She finally told us that it was the end of the night and the servers get sat in all of the rooms. Poor management decision. We had the best patio seats at Rumrunners. The views were beautiful. The service was great, and the food was delicious. We started with the coconut shrimp, which was very crispy. For our entrees we had the mahi tacos, and a hamburger. The tacos had a good amount of fish in them, and the hamburger was cooked perfectly. We will definitely become back. read more

Warning! This is a drink review! We were on vacation and went to Rum Runners with friends for dinner. The seating was perfect as we were overlooking the water on a beautiful night in September. Then we ordered cocktails... I ordered the Key Lime Pie Martini and fell in love! This drink is so delicious I found it hard to only order two - I knew I had to save room for dinner! If this is your kinda thing then you must go. I mean, my hubs and friends said that the other cocktails were great as well and so were our meals but I just couldn't get past this drink. Living up north, well, you can get a decent Key Lime Martini up here! I still dream about it. read more

3 things about this place: 1. I kept driving past by this place and wanted to check it out today. The place was big and had a little mini gift shop where you can buy souvenirs if you're visiting. The staffs were nice and very friendly. 2. Oysters, calamari, tuna poke, and seafood chowder were ordered. Oysters and tuna we're NOT fresh. The two items that needed to be fresh were NOT fresh and felt those items were sitting on the plate for a while. Seafood chowder was not the type of chowder I had in mind and the chowder tasted very fishy. 3. Service was way too slow and had to ask for more water before the waitress refilled it first and she didn't even check up on to see how everything came out; what she was quick with was bringing the check. Overall, very dissatisfied with this place and I do not recommend this restaurant. If you go to this place, get something other than the seafood. read more

Just wanted to share our experience here three weeks ago. We had reservations for outside, and were seated immediately. Beautiful, peaceful scenery. Our waitress was immediately to our table, and attentive the entire evening. Her name was Jessica (from Toledo). She provided the absolute best service one could want when dining out, especially with the restaurant being exceptionally busy during season, and on a Friday evening. Our beverages were brought almost instantly, and were very good. Our food didn't take long at all, and everything was perfect, exactly as ordered. Filet, Crab legs, Veggie burger, and extra sides were all excellent, very tasty, and served by our smiling, friendly Jessica. We had a birthday at our table, and Jessica brought her a yummy piece of cake, compliments of Rumrunners, and the staff sang happy birthday. What a perfect evening. Thank you Jennifer, and Rumrunners, for providing a special evening for my out of town company. Souvenirs were awesome, and purchased in their little gift shop. Did I mention, we had no issues parking in their lot. We will be back. read more

Our waitress was very attentive. The ambiance was nice; we sat outside and there was a young artist singing and it was pleasant. The escargot was very chewy and didn't really taste the greatest...the calamari was okay. I had a coconut dream martini and it was also mediocre. We tried the the fettuccine Alfredo and added grilled chicken and the spare ribs. The spare ribs were delicious but the pasta wasn't very good. The sauce was very thick almost the same consistency as gravy. For desert we tried the restaurant favorite the bread pudding. It was blah I was expecting it to be out of this world... The place is very nice to hangout and have some drinks and just take in the views. We will try other things next time and see how it goes. read more

This place is closing for good soon, lost their lease. Hopefully Doc Fords has better employees that don't act like you're bothering them. The food was good, we weren't happy that we got charged $5 when we asked for a bread basket, our bill was $150 for 3 people so not cheap & they feel the need to charge you for bread.
