Went for a walk around Sloan's lake one morning and decided to stop at Rupert's for brunch! Started with a mimosa, thought the glasses were a little small but they were good regardless. I got the veggie Benedict which was delish! Only complaint would be that the waitress(bright green hair) kept bringing me my check without asking if I was finished, so I ordered another mimosa and at the end of my meal I ended up with three different checks because she wouldn't check in to see if I wanted anything else before bringing me my check. I LOVE the greenhouse seating! It was such a cute way to start off my morning, and a great way to social distance. We ordered the classic eggs benedict and chocolate chip pancakes - the hollandaise sauce could use a little more flavor, but other than that it was great! Service was friendly and super quick. We have yelp to thank for this one! My husband and I, with our two children, needed a good place to eat for Brunch while in the area and this place was a huge success! Only waited 5 minutes on a Sunday, food was FANTASTIC, view was amazing, service was flawless and we could not find one thing to not like! Our waitress, Shannon, was so happy and attentive! Our $8.50 bottomless Mimosas never had the chance to empty...heck, it was ALWAYS full. Everyone worked as if they were all a part of a great team and did it happily. This place is so good, and not to be missed on your breakfast tour of Denver. Living in the highlands for 4 years I was lucky enough to frequent this place and the waitresses put up with my picky egg requests on the eggs Benedict. Went here for the first time since they have new ownership. It was very pleasant experience overall! Good food but the staff is extremely nice and fast! I had the southwest Benedict and my boyfriend had the burrito. I was worried that I would have food envy because I always order a breakfast burrito but I was very happy with my selection. He was nice enough to share so I could try and the burrito was very good as well. The green chili is a must try! I love going to breakfast/brunch and am thrilled there is such a fantastic place close! read more

I decided to try Rupert's after seeing good reviews on Yelp. I wasn't disappointed! I got a normal breakfast plate with eggs, pancakes, bacon and a delicious potato mash. We had to wait about 25 minutes to be sat on a Sunday Morning around 9:30am. I suggest getting there early! By the time we left, there were about 15 people waiting outside just to be sat. This is the best brunch place in Denver. I wanted to try everything on the menu. I ended up getting the Grits deluxe which is a specialty of theirs. It has Gouda cheese and bacon bits with eggs on top. I also got a side of pancakes which were so fluffy and perfectly cooked. There is usually a long wait for this place so get there early. My favorite thing about Rupert's is that it isn't as crowded as Snooze or Jelly. We walked in this morning (a sunny, beautiful spring Saturday morning) at 9 AM & were seated immediately. We have had to wait sometimes, but it's not a given like it is at other breakfast hot spots. My next-favorite thing about Rupert's is the food. The Sloan's breakfast platter is great - eggs, meat, potato pancakes, & bread of choice (muffin, pancake, toast). They will replace the bread with fruit on request. My partner loves their quiches, stuffed French toast (strawberry & Nutella? OMGYUM.), & says their eggs Benedict are good too (but not great). Their service is fast & friendly & their prices are reasonable. The view from the patio is really lovely (across Sloan's Lake to the downtown skyline). read more

There has been a wait every time we've gone but the lake is right across the street so you can go enjoy that since they will text you when your table is ready. We came for breakfast on a pretty slow Tuesday morning. I had already decided on the biscuits and gravy from looking at the menu online. I almost changed my mind for the special french toast but I stuck with my first choice. I had my eggs over medium and they were perfect. The gravy was pleasantly spiced and generous. But the real treat was the potato cakes. I was expecting cakes of hash brown but what I got were fried mashed potatoes and they were excellent. I love the atmosphere of this place. Extremely friendly wait staff and they work hard to get your party seated in a timely manner. I had the sweet potato and bean hash and it was definitely more food than I could eat. What made this post a 4 star vs. 5 stars was the fact my sweet potatoes were not cooked all the way. Everything on the menu is great but nothing finished a night shift better than a spicy Bloody Mary along with something that they would make special off the menu for me (they should call it the Nurse's Recovery!), but it's a combination of the Hangover Burger along with the Poblano Turkey Sandwich (everything combined minus the turkey and sandwich bread - it's all on the bun). There is always a bit of a line when I get there, but it goes quickly and you can get a drink while you're waiting.
