This family run chic brunch place just went from my local favorite to world class. My rather large family with the cutest little munchkins we're all eating on their patio due to the hour wait time when the weather took a turn for the weather drastically turn cold and windy. The manger, Steve, talked to the couple of people on their wait list about waiting a little longer so the family with small kids could come inside to eat. Our server Sam ushered us in fast. Our family loves this place and my only complaint is that sometimes you get hooked on something yummy on the menu, and then it goes away. They used to have some sort of multi-grain pancakes that weren't too dry, or like eating woodchips. If memory serves me, they had either a blueberry cream cheese or yogurt on top. Bring them back. This a great place. This was the best breakfast I've had in Denver. When we arrived it looked like a long wait but it took only 5 minutes. Bottomless mimosas? Yum. Vegan and gluten free options that actually have a wonderful flavor. Homemade sausage gravy to die for and the portions are the perfect size. Love this place! Just went here for the first time on a Sunday. The place was packed (which is a good sign), so we waited for 30 minutes for a table for two. The unlimited mimosa deal on the weekend is one of the best values I've seen in the area ($8.50 all you can drink). I highly recommend the french toast and gouda cheese grits. Everything is pretty affordable, especially for the generous portions ($7.00-$12.00/person). Beautiful view of Sloan's Lake and the Denver skyline from the patio. Come to Ruperts at the Edge if you are looking for terrible service and zero compassion for the guest. I am writing this review after giving this place a second chance only to be left further disappointed and dissatisfied than the prior visit. I dont know if they have staffing issue or need better training all around but it has been one server in particular to which both incidents have occurred. I do not know our servers name but the bigger girl with tattoos is absolutely terrible. The first encounter she forgot my girlfriends EGGS on her BREAKFAST bowl and the cheese she had requested removed due to an allergy was not removed from the dish. We had to wait for a new dish to be made at which point my food was cold and undesirable. NOW TO THIS INSTANCE!!! My girlfriend and I decided to give them another chance. We were sat immediately and the server came promptly to check on us... once we placed our order, that was the last we recieved service from Ruperts. After sitting waiting over 40 minutes for eggs and pancakes to be served and nothing arriving to our table, I made eye contact with our server who finally came back to ask us "how everything was?" To her surprise we were still sitting at an empty table waiting for our eggs and pancakes. The server went back to the kitchen to check on our order and never returned with any indication our meal was even on it's way. After waiting for another 5 minutes to see if our server would return, my girlfriend and I decided we were done waiting and being ignored. We got up and told them to cancel our order and we left. My girlfriend suggested I go back and speak with a manager and upon finding the stammering manager, all he could say to me is we really messed up on your table. Thank you stating the obvious. Clearly there is A LOT of coaching/training that need to take place here. You have forever lost a former regular customer. Very dissapointing. read more

THIS. PLACE. IS. FANTASTIC. We had just gotten back from a vacation in Jersey, and I happen to love Pork Roll. However, it is hard to come by in Colorado. So I got online and searched for restaurants that served it here. I found 2, Rupert's being one of them. (It is called Taylor Ham on their menu.) So we gave it a shot, and SO glad we did. The service is fantastic, and the food equally as good. The potato cakes have the most amazing flavor. There is a reason for this great rating you see here and from others....really a great breakfast. They were very busy when we walked in. For an out of towner, that was a good sign - mid-week at 10:30 and the place is jammed. There is a reason for that. Tim gave us great service, the prices were very reasonable, they had some great specials and the food was good! You can't ask for more. Only reason they didn't get a full 5 stars...my eggs were a little undercooked from the way I ordered them. Great potato cakes...yummy ham...this is a hidden gem. Love this place!! Especially if you get there before 9, chances of not waiting forever for a seat is pretty good.
