We frequently come to this restaurant any time we're in the mood for brunch. The food is excellent and the service is great. During Covid19, we still come here on occasion for to-go orders. The entire staff wears masks, including even those in the kitchen. I really appreciate that. However, when dining reopened, it does seem quite a bit less safe now. The outdoor seating area is definitely not respecting social distancing rules. This was surprising to us as Rusty's had always seemed so competent but they dropped the ball here. I hope they will continue to strive for better health standards as vigilance is key right now. read more

Oh my gosh! Love this place. EVERYTHING, and I mean everything is BOMB here! The staff is always there. Ready to refill your water and coffee, wait tables. Like there on top of their game. The place does get packed and it gets real loud but I don't blame them. If you come here definitely try the crepes. read more

My fourth time eating at Rusty Pelican and it never fails to impress me :) The ambience and atmosphere of the place is very nice; a beach-like feel with jazz music in the background. They have a variety of different breakfast foods from crepes and pancakes, to scramblers and combo meals as well as brunch items to choose from. There are specials every now and then and the beverages range from warm drinks to non-alcoholic/alcoholic cocktails. The staff is very nice. Plus, I think that with each meal, they take the time to prepare it and make it look real nice, not just slamming it on a plate lol. P.S. One star for the KIDS' pancakes. One star for the fresh squeezed orange juice and the kids' hot chocolate. The cinnamon roll french toast was extremely dry--the most dry I've every had. The Baja scramble left much to be desired--very bland. And the breakfast potatoes were gross...no flavor and had the consistency of mashed potatoes. Oh, my daughter's turkey sandwich was also horrible...she left it there. I also thought that the place was pretty costly, for what was served. Might be my new favorite spot. Covid precautions in place. Spaced seating between table and booths. Some outdoor 2-person tables (under awning). Staff wearing masks and gloves (on cleaning). Saw tables being sanitized between visits. Sunday around 11am got us on the waitlist - about 15 mins later were seated. Next time I would call ahead and see if I could get on the list - I love when restaurants let you do that! Server Angie was attentive and brought a next-level experience for us. Enjoyed the robust and creative drink menu, from a buttery Irish coffee to Irish coffee to pumpkin infused options. I also LOVE that they use copious whipped cream on the Irish coffee. Yummmmm. I saw they had *raspberry* mimosa as an option but I got the passion fruit instead. This place has the most mimosa options of any I've seen to date- and I brunch hard. Food wise - I went for the Dungeness crab Benedict. And it's. Exactly. How. It should be. Finally, I've found my Benedict home. Hollandaise sauce. The perfectly poached egg. The sweet sweet crab. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it again. My husband got potato pancakes, and they were done right. I love that they offer both sour cream AND applesauce - Rusty Pelican knows what's up. I have been here twice in the last six months and has always been a great experience. The menu is vast with a variety of options to choose from. I have tried their ole scrambler and breakfast burrito so far. They made a mistake with my scrambler order but were very apologetic and offered to make a new one for me, as well as giving me a complimentary item to make up for it. We went on weekends so it was super busy and had to wait for 20 mins. Despite being busy, the servers will make sure to take the best care of you. Highly recommended. read more

A solid little café in Mill Creek. Hubs and I came in early on a Sunday afternoon. We were offered a friendly greeting and quickly seated by a smiling hostess. There are a myriad of things to choose from here, it looks like it would be a great place to breakfast (and we will be back to do that soon), and the lunch offerings were perfect for a hot, sunny day. There was a large variety of sammies, burgers and salads to choose from. I ordered the Salmon burger with fries. I was expecting some sort of salmon patty, perhaps pressed flat and grilled, but was pleasantly surprised to find a perfectly cooked filet of salmon nestled between two soft wheat buns. This "burger" came topped with red onions, crunchy green lettuce, and tomatoes. It was served with a side of tartar sauce. The red onion was a little forward for my taste, so I took some of it off, and it was perfect for me. The fries were obviously fresh, and a nice accompaniment to my salmon burger. Hubs had the Monte Cristo. I tried a bite and it was tasty as well. The jam that came with it was amazing, I wanted some to take home. The dessert tray made its rounds but we could not partake. We were too stuffed from our delicious sammies. I look forward to coming back to try out their breakfast menu. read more

I almost ate the whole thing (which is a lot for me)! My husband and the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was great too (he let me try a bite)! Waiter came to my table, sat down a plate of different dessert breads, and stated "oh no, this is my own offerings" when I told him I didn't order this. My assumption then was that this is on the house since no price was mentioned. My bill was then charged an extra 6.25 written secretly on the bottom of the order receipt, didn't even noticed it until my partner stated the price didn't match our salmon Benedict and tax. This was a cute and quaint little join up in Mill Creek. They had a lot of outdoor seating in the parking lot, but only 2 person tables...which made it hard for my family of 4. That being said, the waitress was very accommodating and created a space for 4 near the dry cleaners door. The service was fast and friendly, and the coffee was very fresh. The food was fantastic, but my wife had a scramble that was slightly undercooked and "crunchy". Overall, the portion sizes were great, the service was good given how busy it was, and the experience was great. One interesting fact, this was hands down the CLEANEST bathroom I have ever experienced for a restaurant anywhere! Smelt clean, looked clean and was a joyful experience. The outdoor dining area they made is pretty cool and really well made. The food is ok but nothing special. It's your average diner food, which isn't a bad thing if that's what you're looking for. The downside to this place is how long the process of ordering and waiting for food was. It took us a long time to be asked for our order. Took around 45 mins to get the food and after we finished eating it took another 30 to get the check. Not sure that we'll be going back. read more

I've been coming here since it opened and tried almost everything on the breakfast menu and only a few from the lunch menu. Every item I had was very delicious. We are regulars at the Edmonds location, this was our first visit to the Mill Creek restaurant. Lots of similarities.. Even though they were very crowded during the weekend breakafast rush, we all had a very warm greeting. We only had to wait 15 minutes for a table. We had our coffee and menus brought to us right away. It didn't take very long at all to get our order in. We were just AMAZED at how quickly our food was brought to us.. Delicious, fresh and served with a smile. Like the Edmonds location, we had a team of people working with us throughout our breakfast experience. Everyone very kind and efficient.
