I came here with a friend on a Thursday at 12 pm, luckily not a long wait (5 minutes) since it was a nice day out, we decided to sit outside. My friend recommended this place so many times and I finally caved to try it and I'm so glad I did. Hip old diner feel, if that makes any sense lol the service was fast and staff was nice! EATS: They have this 57 cent? dip/ spread deal that's comes with crackers, the seasonal dip was cream cheese with apples and some other goodies- I didn't take a picture of it but I did eat it all. I think that's a fun and cheap add on appetizer before your meal! TUSCAN KALE AND TURKEY SALAD- so yummy, you can't tell by the picture but this was a big salad, I only finished about a 3rd and ate the rest for dinner. The salad had baby kale, l turkey, parmesan cheese, dried cranberries, candied pecans, avocado and homemade croûtons with a l lemon poppy seed vinaigrette, it was fresh and delicious and I would order again! They have an extensive menu for any type of foodie and also serve alcohol! I'm excited to come back and bring my husband :)

We went back recently to try other items, but sadly didn't fully enjoy what we got this round. Our server was very sweet and attentive, that was an improvement from our first experience. The quesadilla was my favorite out of this trip. It's a nontraditional take on a supposed Mexican flair which is more Italian if that. It had eggplant, zucchini, and roasted bell peppers in addition to cheese. Oddly they seem to have forgotten the slice of fruit they usually include in every entree. The enchilada on the other hand was not for me. It tasted nothing like what you'd expect and had beans that they use in their veggie chili. I don't think enchiladas are supposed to have beans. The entire flavor was just off despite there being an abundance of food. I regret getting the hummingbird cake instead of the boysenberry pie, bc it was boring and dry. It's similar to carrot cake with less nutrition, lol. I appreciate Rutabegorz's approach to serving healthier food and always trying to squeeze some fiber through fruit and lettuce leaves. However, the flavor is just not quite right most of the time.

We came for the apple pie, ended up trying the quesadilla and the special monthly dip they have this month. I mean for the price, the dip was pretty good with carrot sticks! The quesadilla was delicious and filling! The salsa and guacamole went so well with it. My favorite dish was what we initially came for, the apple pie! A slice of it was enough to share, but I think I can easily enjoy the whole slice myself next time. We added the ice cream to it and every bite of the pie was sweet (not too sweet) and delicious. I love the crumbly pie pastry on top and the apple was cooked just right. We sat out on the patio, enjoyed good food with great company. Our family had a good time here. I should also give a shout out to our waitress, Olivia, and the older man that came to seat us! The service here is impeccable. They made sure we had our table set up, enough chairs, water for everyone just as we were getting settled, and just friendly faces all around.

I love this location, I've been attending this restaurant for years now. It is such a cute, and quaint place located in Old Town Tustin. The service is great and the food is tasty. It sort of reminds me of childhood, going to that elderly neighbors home that is so inviting, it feels like a "warm hug". I typically attend for the garlic chicken salad as well as a strawberry margarita however, today it was just the beverage. I have been meaning to post a review, but I always forgot except for today If you are looking for lovely service with "comfort food" then I would go here. There is another one located in Orange, but this one serves margaritas when I believe the other one does not. Give it a go!

Oh Ruta's I have supported you for years and now I may reconsider. You guys pride yourself on healthy eating and I just realized the crackers you serve are bioengineered. Ugh, no thank you. Now I question what else is not considered healthy. Bummer!

We came here on a Friday night. I had the Turkey sandwich with hummus and a side of pasta salad. My friend had the turkey club wrap with pasta salad. My friend had a salad. We also tried the apple cobbler and it was delicious. Good food, portions, & service. My friends frequent this restaurant & location.

I've walked by this location a bunch of times. And I've visited the other location a couple times before and I've never been disappointed! I prefer this location more because it is closer to my home and is right next to a large free parking lot. Super easy to grab a spot even during the lunch rush. The inside of this location is super homey. The waiter was also super friendly and welcomed us with a warm greeting. We ordered the 50 cent dip that they have every month. It was an elote style dip and it paired great with their tortilla chips! I will always be ordering the dip as you just can't go wrong with that price! I ordered the BBQ chicken burrito and it was very good! I would have preferred it to be a bit warmer (it's served at room temperature) but it was still delicious. You definitely need to add the sauce to each bite, it's just fantastic! I also appreciated the side pasta salad that came with the burrito. It was also delicious. I will definitely be back here again soon!

There's a reason this restaurant has been serving Orange County, California since the 70's. No matter what you order, you are guaranteed a fresh, clean and well seasoned culinary delight. The vegetables taste like they were harvested outside the back door, as always. The bonus is that your body feels good after eating here. The prices are good and the servings bountiful. The service is attentive and the customers are jovial. Many of the patrons are regulars as evidenced by over heard reminiscences. The ambiance is eclectic and imaginative, like the food. The antique farm tables give a warm and sturdy foundation for the colorful Fiesta ware appetizer dishes. The seasonal decorations are tasteful, framing a view of the outside patio of more happy patrons with a few well behaved dogs. Beautiful stained glass gleams from the corner lighting eclectic art. Dress code is casual. Bathrooms clean. Prices fair. Atmosphere comfortable. A winner! 3 Southern California Locations: Fullerton Orange Tustin All great and consistent.

Love this place. Been coming with my mom since I was in high school. The portions are generous, which is far and few between nowadays. The ambiance is so sweet and wholesome, the menu has literally everything you could need. It's also just simple, see a seat, seat yourself! It's refreshing. Like the salads! I always get the avocado chicken and it's delicious, a full avocado, lots of chicken and raw veggies which I LOVE. And the soups are wonderful. Also, love how many people checked in on me, not just my server, that made me feel seen as a customer. Everybody wants me to enjoy, not just my server. Great in terms of management/service. Love this place, left in a good mood with a happy belly.

Really cute restaurant and service is always amazing! We came on a Wednesday at dinner time and were seated immediately. The menu is expansive, and they also have a seasonal menu. There are lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well. I had the butternut squash ravioli (seasonal menu item) and it was a bit sweet with the squash and walnut filling, but i enjoyed the cheesy broccoli. It came with a cheesy pita bread and that was delicious.

Love this place! Food was amazing and the menu was huge. I got a chipotle wrap, it was just the right amount of food. It tasted clean and I didn't feel heavy after eating it. The cookies were so tempting and couldn't help myself - service is quick and staff is friendly. I recommend this place if you are looking for a nice brunch or lunch place. Do forget to take some cookies home

The atmosphere here is extremely charming and felt like a time capsule. The service was speedy and we were seated immediately for lunch on a Thursday. I ordered the sandwich and soup combo with the tuna sandwich with sourdough and the vegetarian soup of the day which was cheese vegetable. Both were absolutely delightful. The meal also came with pasta salad, and cantaloupe, and pickle. They were all great. The meal felt very good for the price and the dip of the month was also a great addition. I will definitely be returning with the rest of my family.

We call them and give them a heads up and wondered if there was still availability. Melody was pretty transparent and said that there is a different menu between two and five ---a more limited menu. She asked if there was anyway we could get there before 2 o'clock. Long story short, she was super gracious and told the cooks that we would get there a little after two and they would make us something from the lunch menu. Isa was our waitress, and she was phenomenal! Great sense of humor, very transparent about the different menu items. I got a copal and it was fantastic! Smoky and spicy, but not too spicy. We started our late lunch with Caesar salad, Sopa Limon, Seabreem fish dish. We also got the cubano. We were so stuffed by the end of it, but everything was phenomenal. The Caesar salad was a great way to start the meal, but after a couple of bites of it once we had the other dishes, it didn't stand out as much. We probably would've ordered the same thing all over again, with the exception of the Caesar salad (although it was still good!) Sopa Limon had a very unique bone broth flavor. It was a little sweet. So amazing. Seabreem dish - the vegetables played an important part in the flavors! The fries and the aïoli for the Cubano was amazing. The Cubano was excellent, but was a big serving. We sat outdoors, but if I had to have my choice, I would prefer indoors because the ambience indoors is similar to a resort. It reminds us of a place up in the Bay Area called Luna in Campbell. Except the food here is slightly better :). Will definitely return!

The smoked salmon flatbread wasn't as good, it looks very colorful and pretty, but I didnt think the flavors went together very well. I like the smokiness but the salmon wasn't umami enough to justify mixing in caviar and avocado and arugula that would normally pair well with beef. Our server was very warm and helpful. For two of us we ordered one heavier dish and 3 on the lighter side and I actually left pretty stuffed. The menu is always evolving so I'd love to return, but for this visit we started with the bread and ham butter. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the ham butter imparted so much flavor. My favorite item that we ordered was the Galician Octopus. The thin slices were perfectly executed and the flavors underneath packed a punch. I would pass on the Gambas al Ajillo. While the shrimp were large, I found myself wishing that they had some char. The Summer Squash Salad was a perfect complement to the other dishes. I found the squash ribbons to be unique, the dressing to be light and fresh, and the inclusion of small bits of cheese to impart just the right amount of saltiness to the dish. Because we were celebrating my birthday, they gave us a complimentary slice of the basque cheesecake with a candle in it. Typically I'm not a big fan of this type of cheesecake, but theirs was wonderful and we ate the whole thing. Making reservations is recommended since the restaurant is small but making it wasn't too difficult. We were impressed by how cute it was. It had a dark European vibe which we loved. It's definitely intimate and great for small groups, not so much larger ones. We brought in our own wine to enjoy with a corkage free. We got seated right away and our nice waiter gave us great recommendations and answered our many questions. We ended up ordering a lot between all three of us but that's just how we roll. We started with their bread & ham butter, pork pate, and burrata. The pork pate didn't come with bread so we were glad our waiter recommended it. The pate was really good and was different. It was on the dense side but still spreadable and full of flavor. The burrata had peaches, cherries and pinenuts. It was different but in a good way and we also ate that with the bread. It was more bland and nice with the pate. For dinner we got their steak tartare, mushrooms, chicken, and pork. The steak tartare was on the saltier side which I didn't mind. It was actually a large portion and sat on some toast. The mushrooms were a hit. They were braised with an onsen egg on top to mix. The pork was exceptional. It was flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend it for protein. My least favorite dish was the chicken, which was actually super tender and cooked just right. I just didn't like the sauce taste and I am not a fan of beans. We ended the night with some basque cheesecake which was not too sweet and delicious. What an incredible meal. The pricing we thought was good for the quality and what you get. Some of the portions were smaller but good for us. The pork did have a 40 minute wait to make which our waiter told us. Service was amazing and the food came out as it was made. The restaurant is small so reservations is recommended. They have limited parking and there is also street parking around.

Food is always fantastic. I make a point of stopping by once a week mostly for take-out. Salmon…read moreon angel hair, 2 way kabobs cooked to order, short rib pappardelle pasta, the pastries... The cafe staff is always so friendly! I've eaten here close to a hundred times. Never had a bad meal. The cafe is a nice place indoors or outside to eat a nice breakfast/lunch Monday-Saturday solo or with company. The service is wonderful! (Going to miss the old place but crossing my fingers they won't be closed too long when Enderle Center starts the remodel.)

I've never heard of Zovs, a few of my friends have been coming here for years and have watched this…read morerestaurant build itself up, and I really wish I heard about this place sooner, because every time I opened my mouth and ate was one of those "you lean back in your chair and reflect" moments. Absolutely amazing. To start off once you get inside the bistro they keep it very fresh with natural light. It reminds me of what Javier's in Newport did with their semi outdoor revamp. The light is plentiful, it makes things open, more social. I love it. Our host was great in getting us a table, she was very kind. It also wasn't long before our waiter came by, I liked how the attentiveness was so quick. I came for brunch, so the menu itself isn't as plentiful with options as the dinner menu but there's something for everyone which I liked. It was 1pm but pancakes and French toast were still an option for appetizers, so I took a wild card and got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the baklava French toast which isn't pictured but we ate it all so quick I didn't get time to snap one. Both were EXTREMELY good, every single person who dipped their fork into the starters had something good to say, the airy lemon flavor with the light ricotta on the fluffy pancakes and the more sweet and soft feeling of the French toast. The braised short rib was extremely tender, I had some expectations for it since it is one of the highest priced options on the menu, and they knocked it out of the park. The hash browns and sauce on the bottom added that little extra kick you needed to complete a fork-full. The salad, I would have preferred just a little less dressing, but not close to even complaining about, it tasted great. I took it upon myself to walk through the back and get to the other side where the cafe is and grab some pastries, the pumpkin cheesecake and a matcha, a wonderful way to end the experience here. Service was amazing, the openness of the restaurant made things feel more social and upbeat, food was amazing on all ends, it's a really nice restaurant I wish I knew about sooner.
