Disappointed based on other reviews. We sat at the counter and received slow service. Waitress was a bit absent. I had the hamburger with onion rings. Hamburger was good but would not order the onion rings again. My husband had the meatloaf and it was cold. Even after it was sent back to the microwave to heat, it still was cold in the middle. We came here because of the good reviews on Yelp and Google. It's not a large place, a bit "run-down", but we enjoyed our breakfast. Our waitress was wonderful - friendly, professional, and efficient. We enjoyed our breakfasts. I had a meat lovers skillet - not fantastic, but good. My wife needs gluten free toast - and we were pleasantly surprised that there was no extra charge. The coffee was unfortunately mediocre. We would come here again for breakfast. read more

Stopped here while on vacation. Waited about twenty minutes to be seated. Ordered chorizo and scrambled egg. It came with a side of refried beans and hash browns. The chorizo and eggs were ok. The beans came lukewarm and right away I noticed they were can Rosarita beans!The hash browns were mushy with no taste and the coffee was weak. Great family owned diner. Food was fresh and delicious. Large portion size with very reasonable prices. We got all meat skillet omelette, veggie omelette and kids Mickey pancake combo. Everything was very tasty. Service is really good. Everyone is taking covid precautions. Only thing is the place is a bit crowded so hard to do social distancing. Unbelievably delicious!! What a perfect Route 66 treat! We had the cordon blue skillet, pancakes and country Benedict. Everything was delicious including the coffee. Staff was super friendly and helpful with menu questions. Food was hot and fast. Reasonable prices and an absolute gem of a place. Tip: they have a painted rock garden. Bring a painted rock and you're allowed to take a painted rock. read more

This establishment has the old school diner feels . Checker board flooring , counter seating , and much more. Ordered their 50/50 burger with fries and was not disappointed at all . Husband had their Ruben and said it's by far the best he has had ever. We will be returning again and again !! read more

Nice place located on Andy Devine Ave, albeit a bit dated looking with somewhat tired upholstery. The food was top notch, the wife ordered the A-1 burger with fries, she said it was juicy and very tasty. I ordered the patty melt and fries. It was delicious and served up piping hot. The server was very friendly and sweet. Had we stuck around town I would have come back and tried some other things. I would add that I had the need to visit the rest room, it was clean ,but very small and claustrophobic. read more

This place was part of the discount places offered by La Quinta inn due to Covid. La Quinta is not serving breakfast like they normally due. I believe you get 15% off. We decided to try this place due to the reviews. So this restaurant adventure kind of started out rocky. The fist thing we learn is this place is out of milk and half and half. It's the weekend. Why can't anyone run to the local store and buy some? This is ruining my coffee time. They do offer flavored creamers. The menu was plentiful with a lot of options. The pricing was great. I ordered an omelette while the wife and kids went with the chicken fried steak. I must say the decor was a bit sketchy. Let's just say it looks like if something breaks, they definitely don't fix it. Does it hurt the place, maybe it adds to the ambiance. The food comes outs. The presentation of the food was not appealing but the taste was great. I enjoyed my omelette. Oh forgot to mention, they also ran out of sourdough bread so I went with the English Muffin. Eh! The English muffin tasted funny. I tried my wife chicken fried steak. That was also good. They actually use real steak grounded and pounded. Nice. The wife ordered a pancake. This pancake sucked. Wonderful place with lots of "old time" diner feel. A great place to visit to experience not only good food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but be aware they close at 8pm). Vast menu, with beer available. Very American style, with a few Mexican dishes as well. The stereotypical American Diner with appreciated banter between wait-staff and cooks. This diner was decorated inside and out with the Route 66 theme, because it is located right on Route 66. They even had a sharable rock garden out front. The restaurant appears to be family run, with a couple of brothers providing friendly waiter service to us while we were there. They had funny books at the table with different sarcastic type themes. I ordered the Eggs Wellington with hash browns and it was wonderful. I tend to love eggs benedict and this was a great twist on that entree. With beef instead of ham. The flavor was very good and the eggs were poached perfectly. The hash browns were cooked well also. I would definitely recommend this location for great food. read more

Stopped on a whim during a road trip, Friendly patient staff with some yummy recommendations, fast turn around! Good sized portions, simple yet delicious! Must try Rt 66 location! The big surprise was their split pea soup with ham. It was the best soup I have ever tasted. The waitress Tammy was very kind and friendly. Simple diner food done very well. Biscuits and gravy were very tasty. Green chili looked good.

We thought we'd find a cool local place to try as we traveled through for breakfast. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered it. Wife simply ordered a veggie omelet, I ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns and it took almost 40 minutes. Hash browns for us both were under cooked and no flavor at all, toast was rock hard and only one slice cut into two pieces. My scrambled eggs were good, but wife's omelet was burnt and brown in color. No drinks, just food and it was $35. We would not recommend unfortunately for breakfast. Maybe lunch and diner will be better. read more

Well this is what I pictured about every Route 66 diner to be like in America. Unassuming, no frills old school looking diner that serves pretty good food. But, the problem is it's just pretty good food. I wanted a ceasar salad however and they said due to the e-coli scare they weren't serving it... but I knew about this scare and it was a month before I had eaten there and one provider in Maryland. If you are a restaurant in AZ getting your lettuce from Maryland... well there might just be a supply problem. And, really the place was a bit dirty when we went in. The floor, our booth, and even the table next to us were supposedly addressed but not clean. I did enjoy our time here, there was just about every person imaginable walking in and out and I think most people enjoyed their meals. I could take or leave a return, however. read more

Passing through town and a friend recommended this place. All I can say is my family and I will never eat here or recommend this place to anyone. We walked into the front door and as soon as we walked in the worker yelled "do you have reservations?" and then laughed. My family is Native American and we don't find this funny at all. I guess we should have walked right out but we were tired and hungry and short on time. The food wasn't good at all-my onion rings weren't hot and my husband said his chicken fried steak meal was just ok. Denny's would have been better!!!! read more
