Incredible Food and the Best Service! Amazing attention to detail! We visited this location, new to the area. We were a walk in and were greeted very warmly by KyKy and she had no problem not only finding us a table but made sure it was to our liking. The restaurant was very busy so this was surprising. We were greeted by Belinda and right behind her was a gentleman with hot bread, butter and water. We were starving and the bread was delicious. She suggested a cocktail and was able to point us in the right direction accordingly. I had originally wanted a dirty martini, but the Filthy CEO was the way to go. I was curious about the ingredients and learned a lot about Vodka and Ciroc. Not crazy about seafood we had the Veal Osso Buco, it was fantastic. I think the generous amount of sauteed spinach was my favorite part! I liked the fact that we weren't rushed to place our entire order and could enjoy the cocktails and appetizer. My guest and I had come from a long stressful day, so it was nice to relax. On to the next course, we went with Belinda's suggestions and let me tell you, the Bone-In Filet was the best steak that I have ever had. The flavor was incredible which sometimes you don't get from a Filet and was still tender enough to cut with a spoon, I didn't need the larger steak knife that I selected. I personally would like the mashed potatoes to have a touch more garlic, but that's okay. The grilled asparagus was cooked perfectly and had a touch of lemon and hollandaise, which was appreciated when I found the small container in my to go box! My colleague had the Ribeye with a Lobster Tail which was deshelled for him with his own hot butter and even though he never had to touch the shell was still offered a hot towel. These little touches are what make the meal special. The steaks were cooked to perfection and Belinda was able to suggest the perfect wine to pair with both the Lobster and Steak. We usually go California Cab but were turned onto a Merlot/Cab blend from Bordeaux. Now we are in love with even more expensive wine. Our meal ended with Bananas Foster, exciting fireworks and it was cooked to perfection. I will not be trying that at home. I must say when dining out at an expensive restaurant you expect it to be worth the money. This far exceeding our expectations. It was a meal to remember. These little details of service are unfortunately a rare gem these days. We were discussing business and water was refilled, plates removed without any interruptions. We were very impressed with the attentiveness. Replacing a dropped napkin, removing crumbs from the table and just being kind, funny and truly charming is a hard find it seems. We will be back!!! I have to commend Ruth Chris Steak House, and in particular, the manager, Mario. I placed a Mother's Day order about a week in advance, to be delivered by Uber Eats. I got a call 10 minutes prior to my delivery window, from Uber Eats. They had cancelled my order, even though Ruth Chris had made the food, and was essentially waiting for a delivery driver. The Uber spokesperson was talking in circles, trying to blame Ruth Chris. I hung up on him and called Ruth Chris directly. The manager, Mario, knew who I was and why I was calling, and helped me repay over the phone, AND, personally delivered my mom her Mother's Day order. I can't say enough how much that meant to me, as it wasn't even their error, but that they went so far above and beyond. They even included a small gift card! Again, for Uber eats mess up. My mom loved the food, and mentioned that the manager delivered it, multiple times! Both myself, and my mom, were so impressed, and are so gracious. Thank you for everything!! read more

Ruth's Chris Steak House is well worth the money! The wife and I went there for my Birthday. We decide before hand that we were going all out. I.e. Appetizers, dessert, wine and the main course. But we wanted to make sure that if we spent that type of money, it was going to be at a place that is worth it. After doing some research, I picked Ruth's Chris. And have not regretted it. For appetizer we had mushroom stuff with crab. My Wife had fillet with grill shrimp, while I had NY strip steak. For dessert, we got chocolate explosion. My husband took me to Ruth Chris for my birthday today/. It was my first time. the restaurant was almost empty as we had an early dinner. I love jazz and they were playing some really great music in the background and with the beautiful dining area and the dimmed lights it was rather romantic. They even put rose petals on the table which was a very nice touch. We started our meal with salads. My hsuband had a Cesar and I had a strawberry, blue cheese and almond salad. The blue cheese was not overwhelming at all, just a perfect balance of flavors. I know it's a steakhouse but I love seafood. I REALLY love scallops, so that's what I ordere. Four came with the order, but these were huge. Scallops, Tuna and Salmon are all seafood items that are my favorites but they take a high level of cooking skills to cook without over cooking. Ruth Chris Delivered. They were amazing, seasoning was just right, seared to perfection but the best part? They were tender and just melted in your mouth. they came with a medly of corn and sauteed spinach. I also had chipotle potatoes. My husband had the herb crusted Halibut which was served ontop of a sliced seared potate and he had portabello mushrooms as his side dish. and he had a huge portion of fish. Halibut is one of my favorite fish and once again cooked to perfection. the food was seasoned so well that neither of us required salt or pepper. I love that because how often do you eat out and it's either almost bland or too salty, too sweet or too something. They put some thought and care into these meals and that is as it should be when dining out. We were very happy with everything including the service. Our server Katie was just a sweetheart and the manager and other servers came over to say hello or check ot see if we were enjoying our dinner experience. I love a staff that shows appreciation for your support of there establishment. Customers should always be appreciated because there are so many choices we can make, and so if you are there eating, you chose them. I also got the happy birthdays - and a free slice of cheesecake. So very nice. The ONLY reason I do not give Ruth Chris five stars is the price. My husband did not seem bothered by the prices but I personally thought it was a little over priced for what is at the end of the day a chain restaurant. Now If I was in NY at some high end, one of a kind restaurant known for it's cuisine and culinary decadence, I probably would not complain but a chain restaurant in NC? Too expensive in my opiinion for the average couple or the average family. Perhaps someone at Ruth Chris is saying - dumbo it is not for average people. If that is the case..okay then lool. But again, I was very, very happy with my birthday dinner and in the end the one reason I would go back? Tender Scallops for sure. I have not had scallops like that since I moved here in 2006. I have ordered them at other place but they have not been this good. The second reason I would go back is to try the steak. duh. If I ever do that I will update my review. Our server, Kristen, was awesome. Water was always filled, quick to remove empty plates, etc. Food was good. Nice ribeye, cooked perfectly. Mushrooms and baked potato are big enough to share and done well. Oysters for an appetizer were supposedly top grade, but I found them just good. The wasabi ginger sauce is tepid, recommend getting horseradish and mixing it in. I like that after the meal the coffee comes in a press, so it is fresh and hot. I would give another star but for the ambiance. Big, open high ceiling rooms. More like sitting in a decorated retail store. I would go again for the food and service, but not if I'm trying to impress someone or have a romantic evening. read more

First time for me at Ruth's Chris so I expected the prices. The reviews said so much about the service so I expected a lot there. The attention was a little lax I thought. Took a while to get a drink after they brought water. The baked bread was sliced, but not all the way so tearing the bread was inevitable. But the food was wonderful. Even the Caesar salid was to die for. I had corn chowder which was very good, but it all was good. The 11 Oz steak is just too big, I got the 6 Oz and lobster. Great. Several drinks each and we went over $100 each. I would go back, but not often. read more

I had Sunday dinner here last night. The Food was great, but the Service OMG was TOP NOCH my waiter Jeff was the BEST!!! The manger stop by the table to see how we enjoyed our dinner we told him everything was perfect and we were stuff, but he comped us a desert so we made room for Ruth Chris Banana's Foster OMG it was great and the manger even came to the table and prepared it for us I have a picture of him preparing it but of course I don't how to upload. Also let me not forget the valet his name was Mohammad perfect service I still don't know how he knew we were coming out but my car was ready at the door when I got there. I am a huge Ruth's Chris fan. Have eaten at most every major steakhouse in NYC and still rate ruths Chris as one of the best, despite being a chain. As always, filet was excellent. This is about as good as it gets. Your waiter gives you royal treatment. The food is spectacular! I always get the ribeye. Which is the best ribeye I've ever had. Actually the best steak I've had hands down to this point. The cheesecake is pretty darn good. After tasting their cheesecake I thought the one at that place with the word "cheesecake" in their name was just basic. Went with a friend for happy hour and their menu is awesome and cheap. Get a burger and fries for $9 which is a great price in RC land!!! Friend sat outside for 20 min where they seated her and then forgot, but the manager and waiter more than made up for it. The chocolate explosion and the banana cream pie were absolutely amazing. This is the 2nd Ruth Chris in the RTP area I have eaten at. The ambiance is def a huge step up from the one in Durham attached to the Hilton Garden Inn. However the food quality is the same. It has been years since I have been to a Ruth's Chris so I stopped in for dinner on a Sunday evening. I guess I didn't remember how insanely overpriced this place is. I sat in the bar and had a few drinks then decided to go ahead and order. The vibe in the bar was way laid back which is cool. My steak and creamed spinach came out soon and I was starving as soon as I smelled it. I had the strip. It was obviously a good cut of meat and it was cooked med rare just like I had asked but it just wasn't worth the fifty dollar price tag. The only seasonings they use are salt,pepper and butter. I guess they want the meat to speak for itself but come on, mix in some garlic or something. The next time I want a steak I guess I'll just cook it myself. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary. Our waitress was Amy and her service was great. The food was amazing as well. My boyfriend got the t-bone and I got the Thai chili glazed salmon with crispy shrimp. We got the creamed spinach and lobster Mac n cheese to share by our waitress' suggestion. I never write reviews but after dinner the other night, I felt like it was totally necessary. Great time with my friends the other night. Phenomenal food and service!! I had always heard great things but I never expected it to be as amazing as it was. 100% worth the money. They also have more affordable options which was unexpected. A three course meal for $49 with the quality of food and service is a great deal. The server helped guide us through the menu and made great suggestions. They crumbed the table after every course. We even had specialty knives presented and got to choose which one we wanted for our steak. The managers stopped by to see how everything was. Rarely do you see a manager unless something is wrong but to have two of them stop by was shocking. Thank you for the great food, service and an overall great time! I have frequented Ruth's Chris in the past and know they are known for the high quality of their steaks and service. However, this review is for a recent visit which left me extremely disappointed and not wanting to return to this location. Though the steaks were very good, the service was completely lacking. Our steaks were not served to us as we had ordered, we sent back a martini that was not good and waited an extremely long time to get a glass of wine, the server took my napkin when trying to remedy our food and I had to wait at least 15 minutes for her to return to get a new napkin. Finally, we came with friends to celebrate 3 birthdays and had stated this when placing our reservation. Even though the person that sat us recognized the birthdays, the server did not once mention it. I know this may sound petty but most restaurants show some recognition of a special event (song or even free dessert) but here nothing.....why bother wasting my time to ask if there are any special occasions. For the overly priced food this restaurant has....and it is extremely overpriced....I expect more and was left extremely disappointed. Next time I'm going to Chili's to celebrate my birthday as they at least make you feel important. read more

We booked a reservation for Christmas eve with the expectation that it would be busy. It was so much worse than expected. It was obvious our waiter was too busy to serve our table. Once we got our food it was not good, what I would expect from a Chilis not an expensive steakhouse. They need to plan enough staff to take care of the reservations they take. What a fabulous meal! A few years back we went to the Durham location and we were completely underwhelmed. We decided to give the Cary location a try and it was worth it. We shared everything because the portions are huge (and we both are eaters!). We shared a green salad, T-bone steak, shoestring fries and creamed spinach. The steak was droolworthy to the last bite! We were too full for dessert, even if it was my birthday. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, and chatty when appropriate. This Cary, NC Ruth's Chris needs a major overhaul. Though the steaks are still good, the atmosphere was below par. We were seated in the dining area on the left on the first floor. The walls were scuffed and needed to be painted. The artwork on the wall had a broken frame. We had a reservation too, so you would think we would have a decent table. Other than the steaks, the rest of the food was average. There are other place to go for that $$$$. read more

This is my first review! I was determined to make sure that I wrote about the amazing service and follow up...yes...follow up we received from Gary our hostess at Ruth's Chris. I was visiting a local resort and spa celebrating a 20 year sorority sisterhood anniversary. After trying several places to secure our celebratory evening, we ended up here. GARY greeted us and we told him the occasion, he upgraded us to the private area where he put roses on the table to help four very ladies who've shared 20 years of friendship. HE was amazing! In a world of less human interaction, and horrible customer services, he stood out! Thank you Gary for being such an amazing host. We are still talking about it and wish we would have gotten a picture. You made our evening and anniversary feel that much more special! read more

Very nice establishment in a quiet location. Ive been I wanna say three times and it was great every time. Very nice interior of the very upscale nice wood feature tables are nice touch notch service. They have the best rib eye tender cooked to perfection. Ashley was attentive and suggested a gluten free dessert for my wife, without being informed she was on a gluten free diet. Very informative staff. Great place for a special occasion. The shrimp in the Shrimp cocktail were the size of baby arms. ;) The lobster tail was cooked perfectly - best seafood I've had in NC. The cheesecake is ridiculously large, easily serves 2. To "almost" quote Ferris Bueller - "If you have the means, I strongly recommend it". Dinner for 2 was just under $200 -without wine. I wouldn't ordinarily give 5 stars to a RC, but this particular location deserved it. My bf and I went on a quiet night so it wasn't busy at all so we were seated immediately. We let our waitress, Amy, know we were on a time constraint, and her and the team were very understanding and helpful. The manager asked if my pork chop could be butterflied to meet the time constraint which was so considerate. Now every time I go to RC I will order my pork chop butterflied because it was delicious. BF ordered the ribeye, but we both agreed that pork chop was flavored better. Probably because the ribeye is seasoned with just salt & pepper, while the pork chop has a lot of other seasonings. I've had the steak and pork chop at the RC in Baltimore and I always said if I go back I would go with the pork chop. Sweet potato casserole is divine and I will ALWAYS order this there. Best Steakhouse in the area .We have dined at Ruth's Chris 2 times since we moved here and fell in love with the place. Everyone was so gracious. My server was very knowledgeable and very much on point throughout the entire meal. The food was fantastic and the fillet was melt in your mouth. The manager even stopped by on two separate occasions to check that all was as good as expected. I will definitely revisit this location again.The atmosphere is High End Definitely an A plus on my list. read more

R.S. We celebrated our 23rd anniversary here yesterday. We were greeted with a quaint table with a card, rose petals and hearts. Our waiter Eric was the BEST! The food was exceptional and presentation was awesome. We had the Ruth's specials, Filet and shrimp, and Filet and lobster tail with mashed potatoes and green beans? Sautéed green beans needed to be sautéed a little longer but still good. The Ruth's house & Caesar salads were excellent. Great portion sizes. Too full to eat dessert which was bread pudding. Superior service; this is definitely our special occasion spot in the future. Expect to spend $100 plus, but well worth it. read more

My husband and I and another couple chose RC for New Years Eve. We wanted a nice dinner out instead of the usual NYE celebration places. Huge, huge mistake! Our server had no personality and disappeared for long periods of time. Other tables that were seated long after us got their food before we did. At one point our server, Jessica, brought steaks to the table, sat mine in front of me and then took it away when a server behind her told her it was for another table.. who were also seated after us. Our reservation was for 8:15 and it was 10:00 before we got our food. The only reason we finally got it was because one of the guys bussing tables walked by, saw our table empty and went to the kitchen to tell them. Once we got our steaks mine was rare instead of medium and my friends husband got a medium well instead of rare. He ate his only because we made a point of not eating anything before we went and he was starving at that point. I took one bite of mine and quit because it was blue inside. When you are prepared to spend $400 on dinner and $100 on tip you expect to get decent service and at the very least a good steak from a steak house. When we left at 11:00 half of the tables were empty. There was just no excuse. The manager comp'd a portion of our bill and sent us home with complimentary dessert, which isn't enough to make us want to come back. The chocolate sin cake that my husband brought home tasted like a crayon so even that was a bust. I'm giving the 2 stars for the cosmopolitans which were made perfectly and the crab cakes my friend got. She said they were very good even though 1 of them looked like a crumbly mess. We were in to celebrate my dad's new job. I'd never been before so I didn't know what to expect. It was my first time trying filet mignon, so I have nothing to compare it to, but they certainly set the bar very high; it was amazing. Their garlic potatoes were the best I've ever had. Not only was the food good, but our severs were wonderful as well. Branham and Kyle took great care of us and they were a joy to be served by. I received superior service at the Cary, NC establishment last Saturday evening. At no fault of Ruth's Chris, I made reservations at the Durham restaurant, but appeared at the Cary establishment, unaware that there were two in such close proximity. I reside near Nashville, TN and was in town to watch my son play in the UNC Football Game. The staff went above and beyond to make certain our experience was the best it could be. They worked tirelessly to find a table as close to my original reservation as possible. The General Manager, Gregg Rinaldi, went to great pains to ensure our table, service and food exceeded our expectations. My daughter and her Beau took me to the Cary Ruth's Chris for my 68th birthday.They had been before but it was my first time dining at a Ruth's Chris. My daughter had made reservations and we were seated promptly upstairs after we arrived. We were in a room that was walls on 4 sides,no windows just the entry way, which I liked because we could not hear noise from the bar or be distracted and we could carry on a conversation. The young lady that seated us was very friendly and asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and my daughter told her of my birthday. Shortly afterwards our waiter Gerald came to our table. He was very pleasant and attentive the whole evening. I ordered the ribeye steak done medium rare, baked potato and lettuce wedge salad. The baked potato was accompanied by a plate of small ramekins with toppings for your potato ( butter ,sour cream,bacon,cheese) . The lettuce wedge was awesome with bacon,blue cheese,tomato all on a bed of mixed spring greens. My steak was to die for! Tender, delicious, cooked perfectly presented on a sizzling hot plate. Everything was fresh,delicious and top notch. While looking at the dessert menu I was surprised by Gerald with a free birthday treat. A dish of luscious vanilla ice cream with a lit birthday candle in it and a lovely individual cheese cake with pieces of what I think was pieces of a cookie. It too was delicious and made me feel special. Our water glasses were filled frequently. I did not finish my baked potato and steak but they packaged it up quite nicely for me to take home. I also got a dessert to go ( at my daughters insistence) the chocolate lava cake with chocolate mousse. This dessert came with fresh berries on the lava cake, a sauce and whipped cream on the mousse. Everything was packaged separately ( so nothing got soggy or spilled) and bagged for me . The service was great. The food done perfectly and delicious . It was my first and last visit! Our reservation was at 7:30 on 2/14 to celebrate my birthday. We waited over an hour to be seated with hopes the service and meal would be worth the wait. We were wrong. It was our first time and the restaurant had a limited menu we had questions about. We had water for our beverage because we don't drink wine. It took at least 15 minutes to get our water. I watched as the server Gordon S served his other tables(we were on the balcony). He was more responsive to the other customer's needs. Our eyes made contact while coming out of the kitchen and undoubtedly he saw the expression on my face. It was almost as if a light bulb went off and he remembered he had another table. We finally got out water and requested our meals. He took our orders, brought our food and check. From the time we sat down until the time we got our check was about three hours. Not once did he ask it we needed anything or check to see if our meals prepared correctly. In fact it was as if he made every effort to avoid us. There were three of us in my party. We were fully aware of the cost associated with dinning at Ruth's. All three of us have worked in the service industry and we reward good service. I've gotten better service at a restaurants where I've paid $20 for a meal. When I pay $65+ for a meal, i expect at least good service. Gordon should be fired. I felt so bad because I selected the restaurant and he made us feel like we were not wanted there so I paid the check. It was my birthday dinner! read more

My husband and I went here for our first visit to celebrate his birthday. They asked when we made reservations if it was our first time and celebrating anything and confirmed the information when we arrived. We felt the greeters/hostess and guys who brought out our food and refilled our drinks were friendly and helpful, but our server was what you would expect at a diner. After she brought our drinks we didn't see her again until we were halfway done with our meal, though we saw her visiting frequently with the tables around us. She took TEN minutes to bring us the check after we asked for it, we felt very ignored. The man next to us was also celebrating his birthday and they brought out a free dessert to him. Did my husband get a birthday dessert? NOPE. When you pay $50 for one steak that doesn't include salad or sides a little free dessert should seriously be included. We paid $120 for 2 steaks and one side, we felt like our money was completely wasted. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the steak was delicious, but that was it. My husband said he can't believe he paid over $100 to leave still hungry, especially on his birthday. After looking forward to an amazing experience for weeks we left disheartened, ignored, and not the least bit celebratory. How upsetting to expect an incredible dinner that we can only afford on a very rare occasion and leave wishing we had just cooked steaks at home ourselves. read more

My husband and I went here for a much needed date night, and we truly regret our decision to dine here. While we loved the ambiance and decor, that is pretty much the only thing we enjoyed. The service was extremely slow, we had to wait an extremely long time for our food, and we barely saw our server. When our main dish was finally put in front of us, I was hungry enough to eat my arm. What's worse, is that my plate must have been over 500 degrees. I couldn't even eat the food in front of my face because I would have burned the inside of my mouth completely off. It was torture to have to stare at my food while waiting (some more) for my food to cool down to a reasonable temperature for consumption. After eating our entrees, our server came to our table and asked us if we would like our deserts wrapped up to go. It was if he was trying to get rid of us, and we really did not appreciate that. In addition, the quality of the food did not match the price. I have eaten much better meals in the Triangle for cheaper or comparable prices. When I go out to eat, I like to have a dining experience that I could not create at home. I could have cooked the meals served to me at Ruth's Chris, and it most likely would have tasted better.
