Stopped here on a Wednesday night around 7:30. Not many people in the restaurant, but there should have been. This place was fantastic. My wife and I shared the pork larb for an appetizer, which I wish was served by more Thai restaurants around here. For dinner we went to our standards, pad thai and pineapple fried rice. This place used to be great. The former owner relocated to Kobe Jai in Rocky Hill. I believe her sister took over Sabaidee and unfortunately the food quality and flavor is just not even close. I'm a pinch for a taste of watered down Thai food it'll do, I just really miss the way the food used to taste. So much so that the family and i drive all the way out to Rocky Hill every so often so we could have the food with the flavor in it once again. read more

We stopped by for a late lunch driving home and wow! Food was fantastic! I had the chicken ginger soup which was so flavorful. My entree was lemongrass chicken and I couldn't stop eating it. Good Thai food. I don't know of anything within driving distance that's better. I personally enjoy their cashew pork. Unlike most places that do spicy food, they will crank up the spicy for real if you ask them to without you having to be a regular. They use a 5 star measurement to spicyness. read more

Unfortunately our takeout was not good. Yes, the drunken noodles was okay. The Pad Thai tasted like it was swimming in fish sauce and smelled like it, too. Honestly I feel bad for writing a bad review but the food was terrible. We got the Panaang curry and it was very watery. It should be thick. The basil fried rice was ok compared to everything else. That was the only eatable thing. I couldn't even save the leftovers cuz I just didn't like it that much and I never throw food out. Bristol doesn't have Thai, so when they opened, I was pretty excited! I have ordered 4 or 5 times since they are right down the street from where I work. Food is good, always ready when it is supposed to be & they have yet to screw up a "custom order" like no vegetables in my pineapple rice so 4 stars they get! We stumbled upon this restaurant when Latin Craving was closed on Saturday. It was a few minutes before 12 and we were the only customers in this relatively large restaurant. We ordered Roti Canai, Som Tum, Pad See Eew, and Garlic Duck. Roti is fluffy and the best we have in the U.S. period. That is after living in LA, SF, Chicago, and Washington DC. The yellow curry sauce is to die for with flavorful spices. 5 stars. Som Tum has good portion and you can definitely taste the fish sauce. I like it just the way it is but my wife prefers a slightly sourer dressing with a touch more lime juice. 4 stars. Pad See Eew comes with great decorations and good portion. However, it is on the sweet side and it does not have the classic "wok" taste. 3 stars. Garlic Duck also comes with great plating and portion. There are 2 duck legs which are fried to perfection. Mixed with plenty of veggie. The sauce is a little bit weak. 4 stars. The waitress is friendly and the parking is easy. read more

One of the best Thai restaurants in the area, this grim does a big takeout business but also has an attractive and moderately large dining area. We usually go for lunch, because the lunch portions are quite enough for even a pig like I. Don't miss the soup of the day. I haven't had one that wasn't excellent. The Thai custard might not be to everyone's taste, but for me it's a great dessert. Don't let the name fool you: it's a bed of sticky red rice with a layer of custard on top. Very disappointed. There is NO PARTITION between the cashier and the customer. To make matters worse, the cashier was NOT WEARING ANY FACE COVERING. We were there last night - ordered drunken noodle with broccoli & scallops - the worst ever. WORST - the noodles were way too cooked & I think they gave me a pound of it on my plate - I prefer quality not quantity. Got 4 scallops and they were half - 2 scallops cut into 4 pieces. My little bit of broccoli was completely raw... Mind you I do want this place to make it in Bristol - but I am not going to say it was good if it was not good - my hubby got a curry dish with his 4 scallops - his carrots potatoes etc all veggies were basically raw - the curry sauce was tasty..... we were very disappointed with our dinners. Found this place on our way to Lake Compunce. I had the pad Thai, my friends had the honey duck and the BBQ Beef. All of them were amazing. It nice to find a place with good duck. I also had their hot ginger tea which was probably one of the most delicious ginger tea I've ever had. Just the right amount of honey and ginger to make ease my cold. The customer service was also great. The waitress and server was very friendly and make sure we were doing okay. I would highly recommend for meat and seafood dishes. read more
