Many of the dishes were over-seasoned and the meat didn't seem as great quality as they were selling it to me. I ordered the lamb and there was WAY too much seasoning which masked any flavor it may have. It was also desperately over cooked. Same went with the steak. Some of the best food I've had in Dallas. The service was very quick and the food was even better. The portion sizes for the entrees are large and even ordering a few small plates could suffice as a meal. There are too many great dishes on the menu so I'd recommend going with people you can share food with! There also have really great accommodations for dietary restrictions. The restaurant itself is insanely gorgeous and I love how they used empty liquor bottles for water at the table! Definitely fun for a girls night out or date night! I think this spot is great to eat at with a big group because they have something to appeal to everybody on their menu plus they have a ton of delicious apps that are perfect for sharing! We started off with the octopus (delicious but the accompaniments with it were almost even better), carrots (decent), and cauliflower (phenomenal and hands down everybody's favorite). We paired these with some of their fantastic G&T's, which really whet the appetite and got us ready for our mains, which were a mix of pasta and fish dishes! They were all decent enough but the one that really stood out to me, oddly enough, was the shrimp scampi type dish -- it's such a common dish you can get at practically any Italian place so I wasn't expecting much, but there was just something so good about this one... All in all, I though it was a solid restaurant with decent food. If you go here, I suggest you definitely order the cauliflower appetizer and strongly consider the shrimp pasta dish for your main! read more

We went to this restaurant because my daughter and her family were here for the holiday and they are vegan. I can honestly say that on the whole they enjoyed their meals. On the other hand I did not but to be honest I chose this restaurant for them. It is an attractive place with good service and ambiance. It is also on the pricey side too. I would consider this a niche kind of place. I had the meatballs but they were lamb balls which were thick and dry. I would not order again. This is just my 2 cents worth. read more

If you're thinking the prices are high here, GO ANYWAY. Our friends suggested this place and were we ever thrilled they did. The vibe here is intimate fabulous. The level of service is absolutely spectacular and the sommelier really, really knows his wines. The wine selection is excellent. Servers and staff were highly attentive without being intrusive and our server had excellent and accurate recommendations for the entire menu and dessert. Never did we have to go ask for water or wine refills because the sommelier and the server's assistants were ON IT. The food was as amazing as the service. The marinated olives and the pita are absolute musts as starters, as are the burrata salad and arancini. The grilled octopus appetizer was the best we've had anywhere. Entrees for our table were the orrechiette, the campanelle and the lamb chops, and each were stellar, complimented with wine pairings that raised the level of the food to off the charts. Sachet - Flourless chocolate cake - Mediterranean Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Sachet has an interesting Mediterranean inspired menu made up of small plates with Italian and Greek undertones. They have an extensive wine menu, consisting of many international options. Although I'm quite familiar with California wines, their selection left me a little intimidated. Fortunately, they have a trained sommelier to help make the right choice. We ordered the fatteh, crispy chicken bites and the grilled halloumi and they were all fantastic! The crispy chicken bites were a surprise--the picky eater at our table ordered them but everyone devoured them. They were unusually juicy with a crispy exterior and the green herby sauce was bright and tangy. We also ordered the pita bread as the sauces were all delicious and we needed a little something to soak up the extras. The watermelon salad with Turkish cheese was refreshing, and had a perfect combo of salty briny cheese, sweet melon, creamy avocado and sharp onions. Although not quite large enough for an entree, it was the perfect accompaniment, particularly for some of the heavier items. Entrees arrived while we still had some apps on the table so we had our extras boxed up. The orecchiette was a little bland (pass) but the Iberico Secreto was a showstopper. Succulent meat with patatas bravas....and pita to sop up the yummy sauce. The service at Sachet was a huge miss. We initially tried to order some apps after our drinks were served, but were told that we could only order our complete dinner at one time and could not add anything additional once we ordered. After a few more minutes with the menu we placed our order with the server who stated "That's a lot of food". Judgey? Yep! 3 apps, a salad and 2 entrees for 3 people....sounds pretty standard for a night out. Keep in mind these are small plates and not hearty portions. After ordering, she asked how we wanted our items brought out. There was some discussion about what she meant and we initially asked for the kitchen to decide on the pacing and were told they don't do that so we decided to have our apps served first and our entrees second (doh!) Isn't this the standard? Funny thing was, she ended up bringing our food at as standard at other restaurants. Apps and bread, then salad, then entrees. It was just really strange. Additionally, our server was not at all friendly or helpful--thinking maybe it was her first day on the job as she kept looking around in a panicked way. There are two different situations that one might say, "Fuck you." Typically and most commonly, it's a sign of frustration or anger; Such as, "Fuck you!" when someone cuts you off in traffic or "Fuck you!" when the person on the other end of the call asks you about your cars extended warranty. Then, there is the rare event that "Fuck you!" is a compliment. Everything about Sachet is a really good "Fuck you!". As in, "Fuck me and Fuck you, this is fucking amazing food." It was so good I almost didn't tip our server because I wanted to eat more food and I didn't want to spend more than $300 for our dinner tonight, but the service was on par with the food, so our server got an $80 tip on our $220 dollar tab; had he not refilled our water so quickly each time he passed, I would have ordered more food and absolutely refused to tip him. Regardless, don't do that- tip your server well when you get service like we received. Our meal started out with a couple cocktails, my wife had the Aperol Cava Spritz, and I had a Gin and Tonic, both were amazing. I am a big fan of Spanish Gin and usually drink Aczu, but this was just as good if not a little too light and was very clean even though I would have liked a bit more Gin. We ordered 3 appetizers in total, starting with the Burrata and Ceviche. Both were amazing and very very fresh. The Burrata was great and the tomato jam with the lightly blistered tomato's really set this classic staple apart from your standard Burrata/Tomato dish. The Ceviche was perfectly put together. Do not be put off by the Fermented Mango part as it works really well and adds a complex depth to an otherwise light dish. I really enjoyed the octopus in the Ceviche so I ordered the octopus with local fingerling potatoes, freekeh, olives and xató sauce. The octopus was perfectly cooked and everything worked together very well but I would have preferred the freekeh to be warm, rather than served cold, as the temperature difference was distracting, but it was delicious despite the contrast. Our mains were intentionally different, I played it safe with the Ribeye Steak Frites with greek fries, arugula salad and salsa verde. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were great, but not what I expected as they were just salted shoe strings with what tasted like a light lemon and olive oil. The salsa was a bit like a Chimichurri but very sweet. I think it would have been better with some acid like lemon to cut the fat of the steak. I would not hesitate to get it again with the salsa on the side. However, I tried a few bites with the Arugula salad that was on the plate and that helped balance it out. My wife ordered the Orecchiette with fennel sausage, rapini, chile, and pecorino romano. The pasta was perfectly cooked and I think was actually made there as it was very fresh tasting and the texture was amazing. The sauce was light, very flavorful and perfectly emulsified with the starch from the pasta. I personally would have liked a bit more pecorino, but it was amazing as is. I was so impressed with the pasta that I almost ordered the Tagliatelle but we decided on dessert instead and I am very glad we did; Dessert consisted of the Pistachio tart for my wife and I got the Tunisian Yo-Yo's. I don't like pistachios that aren't roasted and salted, so I didn't try my wife's, but the Yo-Yo's were the biggest "Fuck you!" of our meal. I wanted to fight my wife when she took one they were so good; the chocolate was good, but that honey was the star and really set them off. Get them and do not share them with anyone. We will absolutely be back, I wanted to make reservations for the next time we will be in Dallas, but that will be a Sunday and they are closed on Sundays for some reason, so I am going to have to either plan a drive out to visit again or get lucky to get a table or sit at the bar next time we head out that way as they got busy quick and for obvious good reason. Bottom line, go. Eat all the food and if you don't, or give them anything less than a perfect review, you are an idiot, don't know good food and... Fuck you. read more

It's been several years since I was last here. Went with friends for a birthday celebration. Service was great. Food was fantastic. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The mushroom appetizer was delicious. I had a pasta with lamb ragu and ricotta that was also delicious and the portion was fairly large. Everyone else at the table loved their dishes including steak, red snapper, and pork chops. The plum cake dessert was delicious and a first for me. I've always loved the thoughtful wine list here. It's adventurous with wines from Israel/Lebanon and Greece along with the more familiar ones from Italy and France. The sommelier was very helpful and piecked out two reds, one from Lebanon and another from Greece. Both wines were excellent and complemented our meal. The staff was very patient and accommodating for us to enjoy our evening as we lost track of time. The restaurant had closed when we left. Dining at Sachet is an elevated experience in Cuisine, and Service! Like many, I've had the pleasure of sitting next to an industry person at a bar. My good fortune one night, was sitting next to the GM of Sachet Mr. Beavers. Nothing he shared about Sachet was embellished. He even remember the Japanese Whiskey I drink, and made sure they had it before our reservation. Arriving, I loved the convenience of valet parking, and the full view of the interior that greets you from the moment you step from your vehicle. While Dallas has many restaurants that feel stuffy, and heavy, this one is the exact opposite; airy, spacious, and bright. Every employee, whether attending our table, or not, passed with a smile, and greeting! I definitely suggest arriving hungry, so you have the opportunity to enjoy all courses, maybe even order several like we did, and share. Moderately priced, Sachet isn't the perfect spot for those on a tight budget, but wonderful for a special occasion. The other guest dining the night we visited, crossed all demographics, and their attire ranged from high fashion to casual, so you should feel comfortable arriving dressed in attire that best suits you. although, we dined at a table, I love sitting at the bar, and Sachet has a beautifully designed bar for those who enjoy the fellowship of sitting at the bar. A little chewier than the last time I had it, but we still cleaned off the plate :P The spinach salad was pretty average; personally, I think it had too much balsamic vinaigrette. By the time we got to entrees, we were already pretty full, but we'd already decided we'd have to take leftovers home anyway. Branzino was done very well - lightly salted, not overcooked, not too dry. The pork chop was really good, would recommend! Juicy, soft to texture with lots of flavor! Loved the verde sauce. For drinks, my waiter recommended the sassy Spaniard for its unique spicy kick. It's interesting. It kicks for sure, and then it goes away. Not sure I'd get it again, but glad I got to experience it. Definitely recommend the beet the heat! Very refreshing, not too sweet. Our white wine came in a 500 mL flask! Definitely appeals to the scientist nerd in me! We unfortunately didn't have room for dessert, but next time! I recommend getting a reservation, especially for weekend evenings - it got pretty busy while we were there for dinner! Went back for the first time since 2019 and the food is still stellar. The octopus starter is spicy, flavorful, and my favorite dish of the night. The roasted cauliflower is tasty but nothing you couldn't make at home. My rainbow trout entree was a bit bland and soft. It would have been better with charred skin or a stronger seasoning. The olives gave it an appropriate kick, but they were used sparingly. My bite of the squid ink pasta was pretty forward with an herbed butter, i.e., delicious. The pork sausage in the dish tastes like any ground sausage. Their service was fast and we got a free poor of "extra" bubbly at the end of the meal. The parking attendant, greeters, and servers were very friendly, the atmosphere was great however, the food was horrible. The worst dining experience that I've ever had. The Bucatini was undercooked and tasted old, the color was off, and the sauce and oysters were almost non-existent. The waiter must have noticed something and asked to replace it, however, the replacement wasn't much better. For a high end restaurant to be 5 stars, it really needs to be so perfect that I would not hesitate to return, even given the high price point and the fact that Dallas has so many other options. Sachet was nice, and we definitely enjoyed our experience, but a few things prevented it from being 5 stars. Here's what we thought: Ambience: we loved the general atmosphere here. The restaurant is beautiful and we had a lovely seat on the patio. 5/5. Service: our server was very lovely and helpful, and the food came out quickly and in courses. Our server had great recommendations and made conversation (but not too much conversation). 5/5. Food: the menu here is very interesting and choosing our items took some discussion. We started with drinks - the zephyr gin and tonic and the apricot smash. We loved both of these and the g&t in particular was a good size (the smash was smaller in volume). We later ordered the Hendricks g&t which was very refreshing. For apps, we got the octopus and the smoked trout. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the overall dish was delicious. The trout was okay, would not order again as it was quite salty. Next, we had two pastas. The shrimp tagliatelle was excellent. The bucatini cacio e pepe was far far far too salty. Pasta itself was yummy but didn't knock my socks off. Last, we had the iberico secreto, which was a thin slice of pork (7 oz) with fried potatoes and some sauce. The pork was super tender and juicy, but again the sauce was over salted. We finished with the pistachio cheesecake, which was okay but nothing to write home about. 4/5. All in all the meal was $200 before tip, which is definitely in the special occasion realm. For that reason, and because of the salt situation, we give it 4 stars. read more
