Great date night spot in Dallas! Romantic seating and atmosphere, fresh Mediterranean inspired tapas, and excellent service. I booked a reservation for a Saturday night about a week in advance as I've heard this restaurant is very popular and busy. They have a beautiful bar area with lots of extra seating if you wanted to sit at the bar and eat. Extensive wine and cocktail list. We had a lovey date night last night at Sachet! The atmosphere is classy and upscale. We had the burrata for an appetizer, which was incredible. My husband got the orecchiette and I got the cacio y Pepe, both excellent. We also went all out and got an old fashioned and an espresso martini. My husband is a bourbon guy and their old fashioned uses Weller bourbon, one of his favorites. Our waitress was so fun to chat with and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Its a lovely space, in a part of town full of lovely spaces. The service was very professional and efficient, obviously used to dealing with people far more important than I. Our group of four arrived a bit early and were seated immediately, simple appetizers and later pastas all around ( save for a carnivore who went full pork chop ). So, it was good, very flavorful, the drinks were excellent, the service was good, the space was lovely.....and yet, kinda forgettable? But still 4 stars. Like this - Am I glad I went? Absolutely. Nice Saturday evening with friends. And they did not rush us out. Seven people at a table for over two hours. Cool happening place. The pasta was OK. Desserts average, But the acoustics are terrible. We were at a round table by the windows were screaming to be heard. It is on the very loud side of loud. The side booths are probably quieter. Whenever I visit Gemma, I LOVE what I eat so I had high expectations of Sachet. The restaurant didn't live up to them. It was full on a Saturday night and waitstaff was stretched thin. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and when they did they were not impressive. Some of the food was good, I particularly enjoyed the yellow beets and burrata. The crispy chicken thigh entree was perfectly cooked but the flavor was so-so. I'll give it a go on a weeknight and see if it's any better. read more

It's an amazing spot for a great lunch or dinner. Very upscale and modern. Great selection of wines, great pairing for dinner as well. Great atmosphere, everyone is friendly and always smiling. I love Mediterranean food. I seek it out where ever I go now. I love the bright fresh quality and it's kind of the food profile I seek. I came to this place about five months ago after a trade show. I loved what I had but could not remember exactly what it was. Came here again by myself and order the trio sampler. It's shown in the photo. Somethings that are served cold are always good and some things that just don't work. One of which was the carrots. The beet hummus and all the other sides we're light and flavorful. The cocktails were fantastic as well as the staff. The ambience is also very important to me when I eat. And this place has on trend design. I'm a small either but I love lots of variety and flavor. That's why I love this place. It has small portion so you can sample a lot of different flavor profiles. I'm tired of places that serve huge portions and you can't sample the menu. The ambiance and service are wonderful here - this is in oak lawn and the only thing I could see being challenging here is parking since this plaza is so super busy! Sachet is at the very end of the plaza, so I actually ended up finding parking right in the back of the restaurant. Food was wonderful, we ordered burrata as an appetizer and it was super refreshing. For an entree, I opened for the Ahi Tuna bowl. I'm very particular about my seafood (or at least I try to be), and the bowl was super appetizing. All in all definitely a great spot for a girls outing or a date night, didn't see many kids there so perhaps more for an occasion than a family outing! read more

Came here tonight for the first time for a cocktail and a few small bites and it was so good! We were going out after to meet up with some friends so we wanted to go somewhere close, relaxing & w. semi healthy apps. First off the restaurant is so beautiful totally open with big windows, a glass wine room and expansive bar. Kudos to the designer I thought it looked totally chic! I started with an espresso martini (literally my go to for the past few months) and my date ordered a vodka sprite. I love that sachet has little mini apps called "mezes" on their menu. We decided on the Yellow beets and the Grilled squash. The yellow beets were so good and the presentation was so beautiful. The grilled squash was good, but not what I was expecting we probably wouldn't order it again, but there is so much more to try on their menu. Love the atmosphere and the vibe will totally be back - and this time stay for dinner! read more

Sachet would be a great date night spot, or a good spot to meet a group of friends for one of their family style entrees. Despite being located in a rich-ass area of Dallas, the prices were surprisingly affordable. I was with some xo workers and we split a mezze to start ($16/3 dishes) - spicy carrot tabbouleh, spicy eggplant and Lebanese okra. The two items described as spicy really weren't and honestly were fairly boring. The okra was GREAT though - a little kick and lots of flavor. We also has the chickpea stew ($12) and quail lollipops. The chickpea stew was outstanding - its a good portion and the chickpeas were mixed with finely chopped veggies. I'd love to see this as an entree choice over rice or couscous. I'd order it every time. For my main, I had the smaller portion of oreichette ($14) which was plenty big enough - it comes with freshly made sausage, spinach and supposedly chile which I wasn't able to detect. Still - very good tasting and fresh. My co workers got the trout ($24) and larger located spaghetti ($22) and both were very impressed. Even though we didn't need it we ended up with almond cake, topped with ice cream and the most delicious fresh huckleberries. Service was attentive without being intrusive. They've also got a good value wine by the glass menu. Overall, impressed. I'd come back no question. read more

I went back again and this time for lunch. I'm glad I did because I liked the food way better this time. The celery root, turnips and beets with hummus were my favorites but the brocollini was bright and beautiful too. We tried a few pastas and the lamb sandwich and enjoyed all of them. I really enjoyed the wine list and wines by the glass. The dessert wasn't my favorite but it still was a lovely meal in a lovely atmosphere. read more

This was a very good experience, and we will be back. We ordered 4 small plates, and 1 appetizer between two people. The small plates had a lot of vegetarian options, the entrees not so much. Burrata and roasted cauliflower were really really good. I highly recommend them. Very fresh and flavourful. Pita was good, but felt very dry. Something like hummus would have much elevated the taste. Wood oven mushrooms were good but felt a little bland. The toasted bread they came with were done very well though - just the right amount of crispy. CASARECCE ALL"ARRABBIATA pasta was decent. Not blown away by it, but not bad either. The service was very good and quick as well. We got our order just a few minutes after placing the order. The place is quite busy, so making a reservation might be a good idea. read more

Let's start with the bread. Two small pieces of bread cost $7.00! The waitress encouraged us to get several orders. Huh? Then she very strongly suggested we order appetizers and main course at the same time. She explained how everything was made to order, and, by the way, the arrabbiata was VERY spicy. --The $21.00 octopus contained one very small tentacle. No wonder the waitress encouraged us to order completely. She feared we would leave upon seeing the miserly portions. With 2 orders of bread the the infinitely tiny octopus, our bill was already at $35.00 not including drinks. My half cup pasta dish for $22.00 was comprised of a few noodles, which could have used a few more minutes in boiling water. They were not covered by a spicy sauce; rather the noodles were interspersed with a few pieces of grape and dried tomato. McDonald's serves more spicy food. I wondered why we had to order our main course immediately. Perhaps, the kitchen created the dry tough pasta from scratch just for me. Somehow I doubt it. After serving the four tiny bread rolls for $14.00, along with a portion of oil and some undefined spice, we rarely saw the waitress, who, when informed of my son's severe nut allergy, advised that she would have died if something had happened to him. My retort was--no he would have died. I think she could've let us know the contents of the spice mixture ahead of time, but, practicing self defense, no one died. Pretention, ridiculous exorbitant pricing, miniscule portions and freezing cold to boot, let me know when Sachet goes broke. I have a very small violin. read more

Came here for date night and really enjoyed it. We had the 3 mezes- yellow beets, broccolini, and farro. The yellow beets were the best. We also had the charred octopus which went well with the farro. For main dishes we had the branzino and fish of the day which was a red snapper. These were yummy and seasoned well. For dessert I had the almond cake which was def worth the calories :-) Our meal was paired with great drinks and wine. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. COVID-19 Vaccinated Review: Mezes: - French lentils were tasty but nothing remarkable. - Yellow beets were definitely the better option. - Both dishes were pretty substantial. For two of us, these plus an appetizer plus entrees was almost too much food. Appetizers: - Wood oven mushrooms were delicious (recommended by our waiter as the most popular item in this category). - I'd be interested in trying the octopus, salmon crudo, or tuna tartare on a subsequent visit (although I'm not sure there will be one). Entrees: - My lamb chops, ordered "rare plus," came out well done. Literally gray inside. I don't often send food back to the kitchen, but this was just abysmal. When they brought out a new round, it was equally overcooked. I stopped trying at that point. I think the problem is that their lamb chops are sooooo thin that it's almost impossible to cook them rare. However, if you're going t offer any red meat on a menu, your chef should be able to cook it to order. If your chef isn't able to do this, you either need a new chef or a new supplier (for thicker chops). - The iberico secreto had an interesting flavor but was also overcooked, again probably due to it being a pretty thin cut of meat. My boyfriend made the gallant sacrifice of not complaining about the cooking of his meat so that we wouldn't be "that" table that sent both dishes back. - The best part of the entrees was the porcini farrotto that came with the lamb chops. Service: - Our waiter was attentive and helpful; he recommended an interesting Israeli wine that was quite good. - We were dining there to celebrate my 35th (!) birthday, which was literally THAT day. This was noted on my reservation. I'm not looking for a free dessert or anything -- but NO ONE so much as wished me happy birthday. That little touch would have been really meaningful and would have made it a more special meal. As it was, with extremely disappointing entrees and no acknowledgment of my birthday from anyone at the restaurant, I definitely regretted coming here for such a special occcasion. read more

Came here for a birthday reservation. They had a cute card signed by the staff left at the table. Overall, the service was excellent. From the moment we were greeted at the door to the waiters and when we left, we felt comfortable and cared for. It helps to go in with the mindset that this place is upscale and pricier, so the amount of food won't correlate to the price that you are paying. Ordering many small plates and sharing is the best way to get a good experience. I noticed immediately that there were SO MANY vegetarian options. I would love to come back and try all of them, although we did get a good taste of what they have to offer. Between 3 people, we got pita, burrata, roasted carrots, cauliflower and shishito, fatteh, and cacio e pepe. The pita came out much later as it seems like they forgot about it in the order, which was disappointing as an appetizer. It was fresh, warm, and incredibly soft with a beautifully spiced olive oil for dipping. The burrata was heavenly! It was creamy and paired wonderfully with the pesto and marmalade that added some sweetness and earthiness to the dish. The pistachios were a nice crunch when all dipped with the buttered baguette. The roasted carrots were unlike any dish that I have had before. The carrots were perfectly tender while soft rather than mushy. They were a little sweet, which is why the lentil puree and herbs worked so well with the carrots. The cauliflowers and shishitos were blistered, roasted, and wonderfully spiced. I especially loved the cashew dip on the side. I was most excited to try the fatteh, but it was probably the appetizer I liked the least. With the mixture of okra, chickpeas, eggplant, yogurt, labneh, and almonds, there was just a lot going on. I didn't feel like anything particularly meshed well with each other. It was still interesting to see how the different textures worked together. The chickpeas were nice and crispy and the okra were cooked well with a good texture rather than slimy like I have tried in the past. The cacio e pepe was the only entree that we ordered. The portion was decent. The pasta was cooked well with the black pepper flavor done just right. I loved the addition of the brocolli as well. A few bites into a fabulous meal with an old friend and we knew this would be food to remember. After recalling that this is a sister restaurant to Gemma, there was no confusion way. Gemma is easily my favorite place in Dallas, this quickly moved into second place. We were hungry, so took full advantage of the three course structure of the menu. Meze is a new concept and I was a bit worried that this was simply a second appetizer. While they did precede the entree, they are more like tapas and we treated them as such. Olives, Farro and Pickled Turnips were interesting ways to start. Again we shared two appetizers. I'm really picky about Octopus, so this was the only minor flaw. I like a bit more "chew" and their's was softer than I prefer. That said, the rest of the dish was perfect. The Smoked Mushrooms were meaty with that desirable fire taste. What do you do with the rest of the hog who eats acorns and gives his life for one of heaven's treats after a life of luxury? The Iberico Secreto is a shoulder of this hog and it was a revelation. The accompanying sauces, perfectly suited. The Duck Leg and Sausage was almost as good. After all that food, the Yogurt dessert was a quiet finale that balanced the whole meal. The whole experience was memorable. In a flash, I'd return here. At that point, I'll eat the other half of the menu! read more

I respect they are trying to keep people safe and tell you when you are seating that they want you to place your full order to avoid down time. This being said, we never felt rushed and all our food came out hot and fresh. we started with the figs, lentils another starter, all delicious! For our entrees I had the branzino with artichokes and my companion the cauliflower and eggplant. We ended up saving the figs for our dessert and are glad we did! Full disclosure, I'm a regular. I love this place because you can eat affordably or go whole paycheck in. This review is really more of a love letter to their fall menu additions. Quick tip: Avoid the reservation and make your way to the bar. It's phenomenal service and even better people watching. Now back to the fall menu items we tried... Mezze: Escalivida- smoky flavor bomb of pumpkin, brussels, carrots, and leaks. I'm still trying to work through all the flavors in my head, but it was delicious by itself, probably even better atop their fresh pita. Celery Root- I've had celery root as lower carb mashed potatoes, but never as a slaw. When combined with feta, dates, orange zest, and tzatziki, magic happens. Swiss Chard- it was a fall prep, with a tomato base. It was good but not outstanding like the other two items! Pasta: Buckwheat Pizzocchieri: I'm lucky enough to have had this prepared for me by an Italian grandmother. The Sachet version, complete with browned butter and purple cabbage didn't disappoint, but then, can you really fail with brown butter? Bucatini: The fall version features sage and butternut squash. My dining companion felt it was the star, but I wasn't sold until I added a touch of salt and pepper. It then sang like an opera star. In conclusion, this is just a taste of the full menu. The wine list is perhaps one of the most interesting in Dallas, featuring many unknown stars and great value. It's worth checking out, trying a 209 cocktail with your mezze and have an adventurous glass of wine while you dive into an appetizer or pasta. read more

Gemma's sister restaurant. i'm gonna spell these pastas wrong: oriechette with sausage 4.5/5; cooked perfectly al dente and sauce was yummy! rigatoni with kofta meataballs 5/5: DELICIOUS meatballs! you can order the pastas in an appetizer size or an entree size. Lamb chops (3.5/5): flavors were delicious and definitely there, however when i ordered i was surprised i wasn't asked about how i'd like the meat cooked; instead it came out rare to the point that i wasn't 100% comfortable chewing through mush. Wish had thought to mention that i'd like it a tiny bit more cooked. staff seemed a little scatter brained and slow to be attentive but were still very nice when they talked to us. good place for catching up with company or a clean and classy dinner. read more

We got charred octopus, pita bread for appetizers, spicy goat rigatoni, iberico secreto, butternut squash agnolotti for main courses, and yo yo, apple and persimmon tart, and chocolate mosaic for desserts. We got some persimmon drinks that were really good too. My favorite was definitely the charred octopus and the apple and persimmon tart. Love this place. Cool atmosphere, nice bar, good quality food, and the service is excellent. I usually change up what I get every time, but usually get different pasta dish for the main course. They have a few good vegetarian options too that my vegetarian friends love. They also have a solid wine list. Sachet is now open again for dine-in and I'm so glad! They have added glass barriers between tables, and tend to sit guests every other table depending on capacity. Masks are required when not at your table. The owner has staff test for Covid weekly. Felt very safe.. As for the food: Mezes are much larger than before so don't order 5 like we did. The wood fired mushroom appetizer is amazing. Food is good as always. Their Sommelier is still there as well to help with wine selection. Overall, glad they're back open for dine in. Perfect spot for small groups or dates. The waiter recommended the lamb stew for the two of us to share, which was incredible - I'm glad there were leftovers because I tried to make it last as many days as possible afterwards. I'm not seeing it on the current website menu but hoping they bring it back! They also have a huge wine menu spanning countries all over the world, which I'd love to try next time. I saw this restaurant ranked as #4 in Dallas Observer's Top 100 Restaurants of 2019, and we also ran into a few Philadelphia 76ers that night; I'm glad this place is getting the recognition it deserves! read more

I came here with my coworkers pre covid. We were about 10 of us, but was able to snag last minute reservations. The food was great. Deducting a star because of slow service and we asked to be moved away from sitting by the door to an inside part of the restaurant (which was fully free), but they didn't make that accommodation. We tried: Red beet hummus - Worthy of all the praise lavished upon it. Very delicious. Moroccan lamb chops - Underwhelming. Duck - The duck was dry and def my least favorite main. Grilled Branzino - This was a hit with the table although I remember thinking it was a bit under seasoned. Also it came out as two fillets when I was hoping for a whole fish. There were a number of meze that we got but they were mostly unmemorable. It's such a shame because the menu is full of dishes I want to order, but in execution they just didn't wow me. read more

I often worry about being disappointed when going to a new restaurant that everyone's been talking about... luckily this wasn't the case here. What a beautiful restaurant: sunny, light, clique with a glass column of wine front and center. The seating is mellow and unassuming and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktails and wine selection here are also amazing, with interesting flavors and combinations and enough choices to pair with whatever meal you choose. The food options are all lovely. They are very bright and flavorful and fresh. My favorites are the chicken and the baby ribs. As for the pasta, they are all balanced and cooked to perfection especially the gnocchi. Sachet has quickly become one of my favorite places for a slightly upscale but very approachable meal. read more
