Try to reserve super early. We tried to look up for reservation 2-3 weeks before our vacation to New York. But the only time available was at 8:30 AM. Fortunately, it's only few min walk from our hotel. Once we were fully seated, it's already half full in the big restaurant. We tried: - House Salmon( w/bagel, cucumber, tomato, cream cheese): I like how there is gluten free option bagel. But surprisingly this didn't end up to be my favorite. - Egg Any Style( sunny side up eggs w/ potato and bagel): potato's are super crispy but very flavorful. It's not like those barely cooked mushy potato. Recommend. - Tomato Soup: sweet tangy. My favorite item ordered from Sadelle. Highly recommend! read more

If you like your first cup of coffee cold this may be the place for you . I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon 1 to 10 a two. soggy under cooked English muffin on the bottom smoked salmon with no taste on top not even the sauce on top which had no flavor could save it. My wife had the French toast nothing we would come back for. read more

To be contrarian, and because I loved it, I'm going to go five stars on this breakfast/brunch experience despite the high prices ($27 bagel with lox and cream cheese) the hostile "we won't seat you until the entire party arrives" policy, and the $50/person late-cancellation or no-show fee (which applies on cancellations less than 12h in advance). Why? The food was great, the bagels were made right next to our table in a glass-walled kitchen. The smoked salmon was epic. The service was great. The scene was, well, the scene -- the kind of place where people wear pink shirts with linen jackets and Loro Piana baseball caps straight out of Succession. And bring their dogs? Reserve early, it's not easy to get a table. Show up with the whole gang, otherwise you'll wait. And beware that everything is pretty darn salty, which I liked but let's say they are liberal with the salt on everything (even the lox it seemed) so if you're not cutting it with the cream cheese it can be pretty salty. read more

Back in The City and had to go back to one of our favorite brunch spots. Sadelle's stayed true to expectations... Had the Salmon Benedict and a Cobb salad... both were delicious and filling. The one low point was service. Yes, they were very busy but the person that took our order never came back to check on us and so another server picked up the ball and did her best to fill in the gap. Not a big deal, but odd. All in all, it's not a bad meal when you get to see one of your favorite comedians eating a few tables away... read more

Sadelle's is such a cute iconic tourist spot in NYC. the food is delicious and brunch is just such a vibe here. Service is great but fairly quick since they're trying to seat and get people out quickly. I would recommend making reservations here when you plan to visit since it's always crowded. read more

Sadelles was recommended by a bartender as a must-visit brunch spot so we decided to check it out on our last morning. I did make a reservation the night before and it looked pretty busy when we arrived for 9 am on a Tuesday so I wouldn't be surprised if there can be a wait for drop ins. The menu is relatively small and as I don't really like omelettes my real options were french toast, benedict, or a bagel with fish. I wasn't feeling like a sweet breakfast and I thought that a benedict would be way too much food so I got the bagel with smoked Scottish and the husband got the sable. I'd never had a bagel with a white fish on it and I was surprised by how much I liked it since I usually lean more towards tuna and salmon for sushi and smoked fish, but I'd highly recommend the sable it was delicious! The ingredients were all fresh and both fish options were quite tasty. All that being said, 1 star off just for value. The bagels are surprisingly small- definitely not a standard bagel size, and while there was enough meat for 3 bagels with our two orders, the grand total for that and 2 coffees is a little much for what we got. The fish was good, but I didn't really see any extra value to take it up to the price point it was at. Service was good and when I asked for extra capers they were happy to bring way more than I actually needed! I don't know that I would go back for that particular dish, but maybe I'd try the french toast or benedict sometime. read more

Fabulous brunch place with delicious salmon and bagels elevated. There's also eggs, French toast, pancakes etc. everything is delicious and place is fancy. It costs a certain amount but is worth it for a special occasion. Service was good and would definitely recommend. Reservations needed a month in advance. read more

Sadelle's still has the charm and the iconic setup, but it's not quite hitting the way it used to. The bagels and smoked salmon are good -- just not as memorable as years past. Service was fine, but a bit rushed, and some of the magic felt missing. It's still worth a visit if you've never been, but if you've experienced Sadelle's at its peak, you might leave wishing for the old days. read more

The French toast still can't be beat and neither can the latke royale although the atmosphere continually gets worse. This time we were shoved into a corner so that the person on the bench seat (me) was walled off by the wine cooler. The poor guy (separate party) next to me basically was in the person next to HIM (another separate party) lap to give me enough space to use utensils. Ugh, but I just can't give up the best French toast in town so it is what it is lol. read more

Deducting one star only bc it's so annoying to get a reservation here and impossible on a Sunday to walk in at actual lunchtime. Otherwise, gotta say that despite the sceneiness, Sadelle's is impossible to walk into for a reason! The salads are perhaps the platonic ideal of salads -- ingredients are all fresh, delicious and somehow chopped to precisely the right size to mix all together perfectly. The Cobb is one of my favorite lunches in the city, period. And the pancakes -- which somehow never show up on best in the city lists -- are, well, among the best in the city! Crunchy griddled butter flavor on the outside, fluffy and light on the inside, not heavy....perfect, from a pancake connoisseur! The pigs in blankets are also amazing on every level and a must order every time. I keep doing Resy alerts (which do often work out) for weekend brunches here for a reason! read more

Can a brunch place be any better than Sadelle's? The answer is no!!! LOVED it! Will move to NY only for this place! Yes you need reservation if not you should expect 1:30 hour to get in. But the neighborhood has so much to explore so of you are not starving, you ll be fine! The fish and bagel bring life back to your mouth! Fish tower is a must! We got house salmon and sturgeon! Ah was melting in my mouth! The bagel itself need another review! Make sure to order side of bacon too. You have not had anything like that before. It cooked perfect amount crispy but still juicy! Came to Sadelle's with super high expectations after hearing/seeing all the good reviews. The food was good but definitely overrated and overpriced. My friend and I split both the French toasts and the salmon eggs benefit. The eggs benny was good but a bit too salty for me (ironically I think it was the salmon that was too salty, which is what they're known for). And the French toasts was sooo oily - like not to be dramatic but I almost felt like I could squeeze the oil out if I tried. Service was decent (nothing spectacular) and the restaurant itself is quite cute, but it is a bit on the louder side if you're looking for a quieter place to talk! read more

I'm not a huge breakfast person but I LOVED this! The entire experience was great! The atmosphere was absolutely adorable and the food was delicious as well! I got the smoked salmon bagel and it came out on a tower! It was worth it just for the presentation, let alone the fact that everything it came with was delicious! We also had the salami omelet which was a first for me; I would have never thought to put salami and mustard in an omelet but it worked! This is the perfect spot for a celebration breakfast for a birthday or something! read more

Fancy place for bagels and lox - you are paying for the ambience and pretty dishes etc. who doesn't love their bagels on a pole and lox on a layered tray- fancy fancy The bagels are on the small side but tasty. Lox sliced super thin and my favorite was the house salmon (whichever is the first on the list-lol) I had an espresso martini but my girlfriend wanted a cortado but they didn't have any espresso drinks-so I'm guessing no real espresso in my martini- shocking - only regular coffee!?! Go for the French Toast. Seriously the best I've ever had. Everything else we ate was very mid and you can get better smoked fish and bagels at many places in NYC (at half the price)...but I will be dreaming about that French Toast. I had a reservation for 3:45 pm on a Saturday. It was such an odd time to eat, but the only options were 8 am and 3:45 pm. I got a Cobb salad and my friend got blueberry pancakes. The Cobb salad was super filling and the perfect amount of food. My friend liked her pancakes but didn't finish it because it was a lot of food and again, 3:45 pm is a weird time to eat. This place is overrated in my opinion. Prices are high and food was average. We came in on a Thursday at 12:15 with reservations and were seated right away. The atmosphere is beautiful and the place was packed. We ordered the following: French toasts: the toast was fluffy and extremely oily. It was good my table shared this otherwise it would've been too filling for one person. It came with syrup and a compote which were yummy. 3/5 Healthy egg sandwich: this was a regular sandwich which a daily sized omelet and veggies. It was good but also nothing spectacular. Wish us could have some kind of sauce added to make it more flavorful. 3/5 Bagel: we ordered the house salmon and Scottish salmon. Again, nothing spectacular about either. Bagels are homemade which is nice but you can definitely find a better priced bagel with salmon elsewhere in New York. Overall this place is overhyped. We pulled up to Sadelle's on a Sunday around 1pm and they had no space for a party of 6, so we got on the list for 3:30 and just meandered around SoHo. When we came back, we were seated immediately. Good service so far! We ordered everything on the menu (LOL!) & nothing let us down. Overall, great restaurant for brunch but a little bit on the pricey side for what kind of food you're getting. Food: Ordered the House Salmon and Scottish Salmon. I preferred the Scottish salmon. Thought it was unique that you could choose the type of lox you wanted, which is not necessarily always possible at other restaurants. But it was a little pricey for the amount of food you got. This is one of the best brunch spots I've been to. Aside from the amazing presentation, the food itself was so good. The bagel and lox were good but the tuna salad spread was even better. We also ordered the French toast. When it came out, I was a little surprised at how basic it looked. After taking a bite, I realized how good it was. I came here for the Bagel Tower, and it did not disappoint! Not only was the Tower an experience, but the pairings were delightful! The tower comes with dill, tomatoes, cucumber slices, and regular whipped cream cheese. Each protein you order will include 1 bagel but you could always order another one the side if you're sharing. The salmon serving was enough for 2 people to share. read more

even for tuesday brunch you should probably make a resy! i was glad i did as there was a line but maybe it was because it was the tuesday before thanksgiving. the food was as good as I was hoping for and service was kind. this was the best lox i can remember tasting - omelette, bagel, cream cheese and drinks were great too. Booked a Wedding Eve family Brunch reception at Sadelle's with approximately 35 people attending. We got the private loft, 3rd floor to ourselves. An event menu package was planned with alcoholic breakfast drinks available by the glass. Pros: Food was amazing! The French Toast-OMG, like no other! Presentation was on point Service was responsive, helpful, attentive, service-driven Ambiance the perfect New York brunch vibe one can experience The ease of coordinating was done majority online thru email, contract & payment online, final walk through of venue a few days prior to event to discuss layout Accommodated outside dessert brought in due to their lack of dessert options 3 hour event timeframe was allotted Location in NY was walkable from subway Cons: Expensive! I considered deducting a star for the price but do feel every dollar was worth the experience so no deduction. This was a unique NYC experience, there's no price on that. The layout configuration recommended by the Event Coordinator was not the best and the day of the event it was changed to accommodate flow and enough seating for the space. Space is tight on the 3rd floor, utilizing the booth space for seating was the correct thing to do and that changed last minute. Event Coordinator was ok, adequate, got the job done, not great. The quality of communication was deducted one star for this reason; there was unnecessary stress due to what seemed to be a lack of experience, delays in emails, (but when it came to $, she was on it!). The apathy in serving us was evident and did not match our enthusiasm for the occasion. Their contract specifies anything with their name, including your invitations must be approved by Sadelle's. We had to get approval on our Evite. Never heard of that before on any invitations. Long lines for the restrooms Lack of a non-alcoholic beverage package for event-adding more expense Overall, we were pleased with the event, everyone had a great time.we would recommend if you want and can afford this New York bourgeois experience. read more

Visiting from Florida and going intoSOHO to shop so my daughter researched restaurant places to eat. We chose Sadelle's because we both like smoked fish and wanted to treat ours. We recently were elsewhere for it so were wanted to compare places. The interior is upscale and lovely, service was fine. We ordered the Nova lox for 2 and bagels. It came with sliced cucumbers, capers and cream cheese as well. Sesame bagels were lightly toasted. This is the first time I have had capers with the fish nd found it to be a very nice addition. The cucumbers were a nice palate cleanser. The fish however was a little disappointing. I understand it should be sliced on the thin side but being able to see thru the slices was quite disappointing. Would I return, Maybe but not for the fish. I was so excited to come here for the NYC Bagel experience. I am gluten free so it is always tough for me to find bagels anywhere. Finding a sit down restaurant that serves gluten free bagels is always one in a million. And I found a place in the heart of soho! My review is solely on my gluten free bagel experience. I loved that they brought them out (warm) on a separate plate. They were light and fluffy, but still somewhat dense! These are hard traits to replicate in non-gluten baked goods but they found out how to make the perfect bagel. I loved the cream cheese along with the Sadelle's Tower that we ordered. The salmon is definitely the best on the menu. I don't think I would order it again, but rather instead get trays of salmon- personal preference we didn't like the white fish as much! On a side note, make sure you have a reservation. They stopped seating walk ins because Kendall & Kylie Jenner showed up for brunch and booked out the top portion of the restaurant! We take walk ins all day, depending on how busy we are the wait varies from 30 minutes to 3 hours at our absolute busiest. It is also much easier to walk in and be sat right away before 10am in the weekends.

I loved the red mushroom one which is a creamy pink mousse inside the cap. The stalk is a thin porcelain-white chocolate light base also filled with a rich cream. Adjacent are two cute little tree nuts. The orange and mango have such vivid colors and are aesthetically pleasing too. Just like the previous ones, their delicate chocolate exterior houses a rich tarty mousse-y filling. I think the mushroom has a better balance and variety of flavors. Although I don't eat mousse treats often, I look forward to trying some of the other ones in the future, like the blueberry, banana and cloud.

It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.

My sister first introduced to me to this spot when she went with her boss, she raved about it! I finally made it there, and it was everything she said it would be. The decor and atmosphere is amazing and the food is fantastic! The house locks and everything bagel is the best I've ever had. I've also ordered their chocolate babka and sticky buns, both great! On occasion I have ordered sides, and was never impressed by them. But the reason I can't give this spot a full 5 stars is because of the employees. Whenever I go there the hostess is ALWAYS rude. Just like you can count on always getting a good bagel there, you can always count on the fact that the hostess is rude. Besides the hostess the other thing that always happens without fail is that the waiters pressure you to order more. Whenever I order I they always say it isn't going to be enough and tell me I should order more. How about I eat what I get and if I need or want more then I order more? It feels very pushy and always makes me very uncomfortable, not to mention it's expensive! With the exception of one waiter, Austin, who is the best one there. Sadelle's really needs to provide customers with a much better service experience to match the rest of the experience. My friends had been telling me about the great bagels at this place for years so on my recent trip they invited me to join them. They had reservations for 8:30. I got there at 8:15 and waited outside for my friends to arrive. I looked inside and saw the morning lineup of staff in their dress whites being given their daily pep talk by the manager. That led me to believe that the Service would be great....WRONG! We were first to be seated but had to wait about 10 minutes to be approached only after my friend caught the manger walking by. She got us started with coffee but only brought one. We had to wait for her to pass by again to ask for our other two coffees. She left without bringing cream. Checking out the menu menu, I gasped at the prices.... $18 for the sticky buns (3 Small) I had heard so much about. They were good but not $18 Good. I ordered a plate of scrambled eggs, bagel and potatoes. I felt a little guilty because I knew my friend was treating. The prices about what you'd pay for a brunch at a good hotel (outrageous). The bagel was certainly not the best or even close. The day before I had a great bagel at Hudson Bagel and I think it was less than 3 with cream cheese. I loved what we ate in the restaurant. I had the Beverly Salad which was in my opinion the best salad I have ever had. I don't write reviews but after what the girl at the bakery counter did, even almost a week later I am furious! My sister is a little person, she has struggled her entire life the whispers, the unkind looks. After going through the sadelles instagram I found this picture, the girl in this picture pointed out very hurtful remarks in front of many people, she made comments to my sister which were appalling regarding her height especially since she's at work. Why would Major Food hire someone who alienates their customers?! The gentleman in the picture however was very kind, outgoing and tried to do everything to redeem our business, I appreciated everything he did, he was very sweet but the damage is done I'll never go here again after what she put my sister through. it's sad because we love Carbone!!! read more

I am a little dumbfounded by the reviews about the lack of customer service. I went in this afternoon with my buddy, his girlfriend and my girlfriend and the guy who took our order, Jermey was amazing! He walked us through every pastry and bagel as well as the process for ordering a sandwich . Additionally he engaged in polite conversation and was really engaged in ensuring we had a positive experience. I have lived in NYC for 6 years now since my tour was finished in iraq. I have to agree with many of the people on here, customer service is awful in NY but I can actually say this kid gave the BEST customer service experience I ever had at a restaurant! As for the food - The house salmon on an everything bagel with capers, onions and tomatoes is the way to go! WOW. Sadelle's blew my expectations out of the water. Very cute ambiance -- clean, presentable and fun. The food is so fresh and absolutely on point with their flavors. We had the salmon tower with everything bagels (10/10), matzah ball soup (10/10) and challah french toast (100/10) The challah french toast is sooooooooooooooooo good. Fresh bread with a golden crispy outside and a soft and eggy + melty inside. It's so good I canceled my reservations at polobar to come back tomorrow I promise you guys, this is the kind of restaurant that can solve world conflicts.
