Delicious! My girlfriend and I shared the chicken sandwich and the French toast, and both dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The French toast had a great crunch on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside so good. The mimosas were really good and perfectly portioned. Service was excellent; our server was attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is nice, though the place is usually packed, so seating is close together and it can get a bit noisy. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch and definitely worth checking out.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and had such a lovely experience. It was pretty packed and was able to get a reservation with more time options by emailing. The staff was super kind, attentive and let several tables stay past closing with no sense of rushing. We got the sadelle's tower which was more than plenty for 3 people. All the fish and accompaniments were so fresh tasting and the salmon salad was perfection. The bagels were perfectly toasted and there are gluten free options for plain and everything. We also got the egg salad and bacon which were both delicious. Another absolute must get was the french toast which comes with a delicious jelly. Would absolutely return!
The food was amazing ! Visiting NY and my daughter took us here . Everyone else has the Nova and herring platter with bagels , but I got the most omelette ever in life ! Salami & Egg omelette OY !!!! Pricey but well worth it a must try . The service was impeccable, waiters look like there dressed like doctors and the atmosphere was just amazing .
This breakfast and lunch spot located in the SoHo area of NYC specializes in housemade bagels and smoked fish. We arrived and waited about 40 minutes for a table. I have been to the Miami Coconut Grove and Boca Raton hotel location. Although I've had other items my favorite is the Salmon Benedict $28 which is what I had. As usual it was delicious. I also had the delicious Breakfast Potatoes $9 and a cup of coffee $6. The service was friendly and efficient.
Sadelle's first landed on my radar a few years ago; I was actually watching a YouTube video of someone dining at Carbone and noting that instead of sitting at the actual restaurant they were seated here which was being used as a satellite/overflow spot. While I didn't pay it much mind at at the time, I kept it in the back of mind as in general I'm a fan of Major Food Group restaurants. I was looking for a place to brunch on Memorial Day Weekend, and I figured this was the ideal time to finally check Sadelle's out - so off we went. Unlike many of the other Major Food Group restaurants, Sadelle's focuses on Jewish cuisine and is only open during traditional brunch hours. The restaurant is named after MFG co-founder Jeff Zalaznick's great-grandmother, Sadelle - and has expanded to several locations after the opening of this original spot in 2015. The restaurant aesthetics are lovely - it's super open with a large prep bar up front and tables throughout the dining room across two levels. The decor is more casual than other MFG restaurants I've been to - think exposed brick, industrial accents, and large open windows up front that spill out to more seating. The menu contained a good amount of breakfast and lunch items; some of the highlights were a selection of smoked fish and a decent amount of sandwiches. Since it was uncharacteristically cold for MDW, we decided to start with soup - I go the tomato which was really good; it's hard to make tomato soup exciting but they did a good job elevating the tomato. I leaned more towards breakfast for my main and went with the Leo Omelette; this was a omelette served flat that contained caramelized onion and topped with a large slice of smoked salmon and crème fraîche. I really enjoyed this - the salmon was flavorful and while the eggs were a little stiff, I thought it was necessary in order to withstand the fish when slicing your fork into it. The restaurant touts their handmade bagels, so we couldn't leave without ordering a couple - we got sesame which came with two varieties of cream cheese. The bagels were good - as good as other great bagels I've had in NYC; I was honestly impressed. I also noticed they had blintzes on the menu and could not leave without ordering some. They were quite good - I'm used to blintzes being filled with a cheese that has a little more integrity like ricotta - this was a thinner cheese-like sauce which was sweet. It wasn't bad just different - I enjoyed them. The blintzes were paired with strawberry preserves and maple syrup which were good complements. Service was a sore spot. I noticed that people around us were being served faster than we were despite arriving after us. Also, there was a delay in bringing out my mother's main; I'm pretty sure our server forgot to enter the order. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when all the mains aren't served at the same time, but they did their best to recover once we brought it to their attention. Outside of that, I found the service as a whole to be a little impersonal. Overall, my experience at Sadelle's was pretty good. There is no doubt the food is delicious and they make great bagels - but I would argue that you can get the same type of cuisine in a slightly higher caliber elsewhere in the city (not too far away from here, mind you). It's really the service that left a sour taste for me - I expected more from a MFG restaurant. That being said, I would be willing to return and give Sadelle's another try - if anything for more of their bagels.
Solid brunch spot in Soho with great food and a lively vibe! I came for brunch on a Tuesday and the place was packed. I made a reservation online ahead of time. They make the bagels fresh onsite which is cool. You can see them make them in the middle of the dinning room. The bagels looked so good so I had to get the bagel & smoked salmon platter. The bagel was pretty good, not the best I've had in NYC tho. The salmon was fresh and tasty. Overall a good spot for brunch! A coworker I was with recommended the seafood tower and the French toast so hope to try that next time!
Sadelle's is just that girl. Sure it was trendy back in the 2010s, but it still does shine with the smoked fish plates. We came on a Saturday at 3pm and it was PACKED, but ready to be crammed at small tables. I would order the smoked salmon, the caviar latke and the Cheese Blintzes. Do NOT order any drinks, we've had a smattering of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic and none have been good.
Sadelle's never disappoints. We ordered the fish tower with white fish, lox, and smoked fish--everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The tuna salad was a standout; the dressing was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. And the French toast... absolutely mouthwatering. Soft, rich, and indulgent, with presentation that makes you want to take photos before taking a bite. From the food to the presentation, everything was on point. Highly recommend.
So happy we finally made it to Sadelle's- it's been sitting at the top of my must-try list forever, and it completely lived up to my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the space had that charming, old-school café feel: cozy, bustling, and full of that classic New York energy without feeling chaotic. We started with the classic lox, and wow- absolutely incredible. I loved how thinly it was sliced; you could taste the silky texture and fresh flavor in every bite. Paired with their iconic bagels (perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside), it's exactly what you want a New York bagel experience to be. The cream cheese was amazing too! The French toast deserves its own paragraph because it was that good- easily the best I've ever had. Thick, golden, and somehow rich without being heavy. Every bite tasted like pure breakfast magic. The breakfast potatoes were another pleasant surprise: crispy edges, soft centers, and seasoned just right. Service was great from start to finish. Our server was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and checked in just enough without hovering. It made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, Sadelle's absolutely delivered. I can't wait to go back and try even more of the menu. Just a heads-up: definitely make a reservation- this place gets busy, and now I fully understand why. Loved everything about it.
Like anyone and everyone else, I'm familiar with Sadelle's through social media and we decided to stop by during the weekend for brunch. It is certainly an aesthetic, IG friendly spot however will caution that it's hard to secure a reservation at a "normal" time i.e. 10AM/11AM. While fans of Apollo Bagels/Russ & Daughters, we ordered the below: Sadelle's Tower French Toast Sadelle's Spritz Bellini The service was a bit lacking as it was initially hard to flag someone down to order, the bagels tasted and felt very store bought. I'd recommend dining here one time for the one time, but I truly don't get the hype.
We were able to get a reservation for a Sunday brunch. Definitely recommend making reservations in advance because when we arrived it was super full. We ordered the house salmon, eggs Benedict and French toast. We really enjoyed all of it but the salmon and bagels are highly recommended. It was very loud and hard to hear the other people talking. However the staff were very nice and gave us good recommendations.
Have been here a handful of times now and have mixed feelings. The French toast is amazing and I do love their breakfast food but some of the dishes are just fine. Especially considering the pricing which is insane even for NYC. I got charged $9 to add avocado to a sandwich. $9 for a literal sliver. As well as $9 for a substitution (emphasis on the substitution that no one said included an additional fee) for some lettuce instead of a bagel. I fear you can do better elsewhere

Okay definitely overhyped and overpriced. A bagel with smoked Scottish, cream cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers was $24. Everything tasted good but I cannot say this was worth the money. You can get this for like half the price and it'll still be good. The pigs in a blanket were good but literally nothing special. The French toast is apparently famous but it was too sweet for my taste and very mushy in the middle. The service was good and the restaurant was pretty but, honestly, save your money and the headache of getting a table. read more
One of the best brunch I've ever had!! At first, I thought it was meh, since it looks like a regular American brunch, nothing special.. BUT!! This is my favourite brunch so far in NYC! The smoked salmon is really good served with poppy seed bagels and the soft scrambled egg with fish roe is A MUST ORDER!!! We had 3 orders for only 2 of us hahaha and we devoured all of it! Love the ambiance and it is located in the heart of SOHO. The service is phenomenal as well, food came pretty quick. All in all, Sadelle's NYC is a must try read more

Sadelle's was so worth the hype. To be honest, I didn't think it would be, but I will never go to NYC and not visit Sadelle's again. We made reservations about a few weeks in advance, which is definitely recommended. The place was packed. Even with reservations, we waited quite a while to be seated, but it was well worth the wait. We were seated at a cute table with a nice view of the restaurant. For once, we skipped on cocktails and just went for the food. We ordered a few things to share; the pigs in a blanket, the french toast, and bagels with smoked salmon. If you're coming with 2 people, you won't regret copying this exact order. The pigs in a blanket were absolutely to die for. We almost skipped them because it felt a bit basic, but believe me when I say that you need them. The french toast was the best I've ever had. I don't typically like French Toast, but I ate every single bite and fell in love more and more. Lastly, the bagels. Served on a super cute little tower with all the fixins. Wonderful presentation and delicious NY bagel. I'll be back and I will be trying their famous bagel tower and caviar next time! read more

First of all, you know this place is great when you see celebrities walk in... so definitely get a reservation! The food was amazing, my favorites were the everything bagel, lobster salad, and the latkes. You can smell them making fresh bagels when you walk in - it's glorious. The drinks are delicious and strong and all the ingredients taste super fresh. We would definitely come back, my only issue is when our server suddenly disappeared for about an hour. We never got our side of pickles and we put emphasis on how we really wanted to try them when we ordered them. We had to flag down other servers during that time and still never got our pickles. Womp womp :/ Food and drinks were still too delicious for me to knock off any more stars despite that mishap. read more
Literally the most PERFECT place to have brunch in Soho on the weekend! It has a cute little vintage feel I loved how you were also able to watch them make their bagels in the center of the restaurant. I was able to make a reservation in advance online for a Saturday and I would highly recommend doing so because this place was packed! The food is incredible and I loved the variety on the menu. The only downside is the seating arrangement. As a party of 2 we were stuck in a corner with an extremely small table that barely fit the 2 dishes we ordered and looking around it was the same case for other parties of 2. As for the food, we ordered the smoked scottish tower and the leo omelette. I loved how thinly sliced the smoked salmon was and just because it's thinly sliced doesn't mean there wasn't a big portion of it!! my server was AMAZING !! He was so helpful, attentive & sweet! love the Lox, the French toast & the pigs in a blanket .. Lox is served w yr choice of bagel, tomatoes cucumbers & capers.. i always ask for No Olive Oil as it usually comes doused & drenched in it.. The French Toast was some of best I've Evr !! Had. So toasted & crispy on the outside and the inside was soft & soaked up the delicious maple syrup .. Pigs in A Blanket were so so Delicous !! The sausage was so flavorful & juicy & the bread was perfect & buttery and so Yum!! definitely recommend ordering while you can def pass on the pickles .. v mediocre !! read more

Unbelievable. Came here on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy (but of course make a reservation)! We were pretty hungry, so we got the House Salmon and Scottish Salmon for our bagels and the French toast - heard it was great from a rec and it didn't disappoint. Everything was amazing and the fish was refreshing. The house salmon was a bit fishy, so if you don't enjoy that try the smoked Scottish. We were dying to try another fish after finishing everything so we ordered the Sable afterwards. Not the biggest fans of the sable, but it was nice to try a fish that was more soft and oily. Next time I'll be back with a bigger group so we can order the Sadelle's Tower!! read more
We did walk-in on a weekday for brunch and waited around 20 minutes to get called back for a seat. We ordered the french toast and salmon omelette! French toast was so fluffy but too sweet for me, so we didn't end up finishing all of it. My favorite was the salmon omelette since I love salmon and the sauce tasted so good with it. read more
I finally bought a pound of their house salmon, salt and pepper bagels and cream cheese. I asked for chive cream cheese but came home with plain. But I love their house salmon which is really like gravlax. I used to make it but now I just buy it from them. They cut them super thin. Beautiful slices! I miss their cinnamon buns. Wish they still have them. I have been back every week to get the house salmon. read more

i got the sadelle's tower and the french toast. we went here at 8am---we put in full effort to get that bagel tower. i've heard great things about the french toast at this place, and it did NOT disappoint. it was so so delicious. honestly, probably one of my favorite french toasts i've ever had. the bread was so moist it almost had a donut like consistency, yet the slightest crisp on the outside. it was utterly delicious, especially with the berry compote. as for the bagel tower, it was so fun. we all fought over the everything bagels. we did not know it was unlimited bagels however--that somewhat, not close at all, but somewhat explains the $125 bagel tower. i do think $125 is a ridiculous price for this though. it also came with smoked salmon, tomatoes, tuna salad, salmon salad, cucumbers, capers, and other smoked fishes. although it was really fun to make my bagel have all different topping combinations and it was fun to eat, it definitely was overpriced for what it was. honestly the value should be more around $60. especially since i don't think people would eat MORE than two bagels each and eat all of the refilled bagels. oh well, i guess it was worth trying once. it had a great NY brunch ambience though, not sure how to describe that but i liked it. read more

Got off a plane and went to Sadelle's really early to grab a table. They started turning away people after that so go early or get a reservation. Had to get the salmon stack and two extra bagels and it fed three people. Incredible but everything bagels in New York are crazy salted so warning if you're not used to that as in you but Costco or Trader Joe's everything bagels it will be different when you get them fresh. read more
MMMmMM this socal girl has never had bagels like this before. We got the tower with a side of potatoes and eggs benedict salmon bagels, which was perfect. The meat, veggies, condiments, water, bagels, and service were all delicious and top-notch. I absolutely loved the atmosphere inside. It's a 1.5-floor restaurant with high ceilings, so it feels grand and luxurious. You can see workers making the bagels in one glass room and butchers(?) busily catering fish orders, which all adds to this restaurant's glamorous industrial brick-and-mortar core New York feel. It gets really busy and crowded, so always reserve ahead of time! The effort is worth the food & experience. read more

I don't understand the hype about this place. I arrived with a party of 4 for lunch on a Wednesday and was surprised at how crowded it was. We were seated promptly and the server took our order fairly quickly as well. We then proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our appetizer and another 15 minutes for our entrees to come out, which was the salmon tower and 2 salads. I'm actually shocked as to why this tower was $125. Don't get me wrong, the smoked Scottish was good, but the slices are paper thin, and definitely was not enough for 4 people. They recommended us to get 2 towers but this pricing is absurd. The bagels were small, but flavorful. Truthfully, I'd be much happier and more fulfilled getting a lox bagel from a bagel shop. read more
Overall: Pretty, vibey, and mostly tasty food and cocktails. Tastiness: I understand this place prides itself with their fish selection, however my experience with the Sable fish was too salty. The bagel, cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes and blintzes was excellent, so I can forgive the very salty fish. I was also disappointed that they did not make espresso based drinks, serving only freshly brewed coffee and cold brew. My friend's custom omelette was tasty and almost put her in a food coma. Cocktails are nice. Service: Decently attentive before 10, a bit unaware of queues after 10, when it gets busier. Courteous and effective at all times. Ambiance: This is a cute, spacious, and bright brunch spot, with well curated music at the right volume. Cleanliness: Pretty clean. Price: Decently priced for SoHo. read more
This is definitely a trendy social media spot. But I'll admit, it was fun just for the experience. Bagel tower. Just do it. I preferred the Smoked Scottish over the House Salmon. I also asked for extra cucumbers during our brunch (I love the crunch). My friend didn't love her Benedict for brunch. French toast was also a perfect sweet bite. We split this as our brunch dessert. One star knocked because I do think it's overhyped and why is it so difficult to get a reservation?? read more

Sadelles is always shown on social media,..and since I was in SoHo for the weekend why not give it a try? Here is my review. Food: 5/5 Got the sampler tower ( $125) which has all the fish types: smoked salmon , sturgeon , white fish.. substituted lobster salad and egg salad. White fish salad was savory smoky ..lobster salad was the table favorite. Bagels came fresh n hot stacked on a stick. I noticed there is a bagel making station onsite. Probably the best bagels I had in NY so far..from oven to table. Potato Latkas were crispy and savory addition . Highly recommend. Drinks: 1/5 Mimosa : was not fresh orange juice and the champagne was non existent. Very bland drink. Was not served in champagne flutes. Not festive and was a strange missed detail considering every else at sadelles is top notch. Vodka pineapple mandarin: also fell flat ..see my pic. Juices tastes like canned. Lackluster drink . Salad : TBD Waldorf salad. Was not able to eat it..was very large portions ( enough for 2-3) and took it home instead. Interior : 5/5 Indoor seating wait was 1.5 hours .. outdoor seating - 2 hours. Cute exposed brick interior Floral arrangements scattered around the space makes for perfect IG shots . Covid : 3/5 Servers wear masks. Tables are really close but they blast the AC to get some air flow. Opt for outdoor if you are playing it safe . Tip: Expect to pay $$$ but this is Soho and well worth it if you're visiting or just wanna know what all the hype is about. read more
After a 30 mile sunrise bike ride we decided to come here. It was a beautiful Saturday, group of 5, brunch time and it was crowded. Apparently they're a staple in soho and we found out why. First thing that catches my eye is the guy preparing the fresh salmon of the day at this little nook when you walk in. The ambience is a modern rustic type vibe, which was cool and inviting. Now to the food... Our server Jeff was top tier. Efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I decided to get the Salmon Benedict with a side of bacon. The Benedict was a winner. It was filling and the bread was melt in your mouth satisfying. Bacon was MEHHHH nothing to brag about. However, my friend did get the sausage and it was AMAZING. So sausage over the bacon for sure (and if I'm not mistaken he said they make the sausage there). Also wasn't a big fan of the breakfast potatoes. With that being said I was able to fork a little of my friends hash brown side served with a sweet sauce (could of been apple) nonetheless it was amazing. Overall, it was pretty good...would I go back hmmmm maybe. read more

Sadelle's has one of the best lox bagels I've ever tried. We ordered the house salmon that came with an everything bagel base, tangy cream cheese, fresh cucumber, tomatoes, dill and capers! Their housemate bagels are nicely flavored and baked to a chewy crackle. Besides the house salmon, we also got the blueberry pancakes, one of their specialties. The big stack of fluffy pancakes are butter-soaked and served with warm syrup on the side. Though it's a basic dish, Sadelle's manage to make them so well After our dining experience, I finally understand the long wait time and will most definitely come back when we visit New York again! read more

Leaving review to warn people that a plain lemonade or arnold palmer is 15$ each .... Apparently it's the same button for any non alcoholic drink? Sounded wrong but she wasn't budging. Food is average at best, bagel extremely thin and not New Yorks best. Tuna melt was good and only 3$ more than a lemonade so do with that information what you will! read more

Sadelles might not have the best bagels in NYC, but it's still aesthetically pleasing & a great place to grab breakfast with some friends. We ordered their seafood tower which comes with a wide array of fishes, salads, toppings, & endless bagels. It was a little too big for three people, but we made a decent dent & it was nice to try a variety of things! Really loved their salmon salad and lox. We also ordered a side of their latkes which were just okay & would opt to skip next time. read more
Sadelle's is my top brunch place (thank you to my bffff for taking here for my birthday way back in May, and now my fiance for enjoying as much as I do lol). Like. Yes. This place is worth the hype. The bagels are itty bitty, but the fish, tomato/onion/caper helpings, and set up makes all the difference. The soft scrambled eggs with caviar (the splurge on the baeri royale IS. IT.) wowowowoow. And finish off with that super fluffy french toast. Ambience wise.. it's always full. Unless you're one of the few last customers still sitting around at 3pm. It's that good. Amazing service , food and drinks! Must visit breakfast spot in NYC. We ordered for the drinks - Mimosas, was perfect with fresh juice. For breakfast we choose fresh salmon with everything bagel - it was super delicious! Highly recommended! Cheese pancakes, dumplings and eggs benny was good also too. read more

Sadelle's is definitely one of the most popular brunch spots in NYC and the wait is always so bad. Luckily, we only wait 30 mins for a table for two on a rainy Sunday noon. The decor is elegant, authentic and good for Instagram photos. The ambiance was chill, their service was friendly and it's overall a cozy place for brunch. The options on menu weren't various and we had their signature Bagel Tower & French Toast from friend's recommendation. The Bagels were decent but not the best bagel in NYC. Our favorite was the French Toast and it's one of the best we have ever had. It was extremely satisfying since it melted in our mouth immediately with soft texture. It really made our day! read more

Do you guys accept walk ins?
We take walk ins all day, depending on how busy we are the wait varies from 30 minutes to 3 hours at our absolute busiest. It is also much easier to walk in and be sat right away before 10am in the weekends.
