Fried pork taco and chili lime shrimp taco
    Patricia M.

We heard about their taco and tequila night so we decided to give it a try. We were very surprised that we had to ask about it- there was nothing on the menu about tacos and tequila night. The waitress informed us that it was taco and tequila night and then told us about the tacos. We ordered a chili lime shrimp taco with cilantro and onion and I ordered the house special one that was deep fried pork with pickled onions and cabbage. My husband ordered just a regular pork taco with cilantro and onion. The tacos were flavorful- particularly the shrimp one. We did not order rice or beans. Service was excellent however I was not impressed with the prices. Again- no menu to see prices. The regular tacos were $6 and the today's special was $8. It would have been nice if the waitress had mentioned it cost more than the others. Frankly $6 was a bit expensive for what we gota. Chips and salsa was $5. So great service, good tacos but at a premium price.

Amazing dinner special this evening. Chefs passport took us to Greece this evening with fantastic slow cooked lamb.

    Cheers to Monday!

Sago was wonderful! We had nice seats on the patio, the temps were perfect and the breeze was pleasant. The appetizers and martinis were great starters, lunch entrees were fantastic, fresh, and prepared to perfection. The service was awesome, from the time we were seated to our departure. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Interesting take on key lime pie

In town visiting relatives and they brought us here since it is part of their community. The dining room was pretty empty when we arrived at 6:30pm on a Tuesday though it did get a bit busier as the evening progressed. We started with a round of drinks. What stood out was the bartender somehow sensed that one of the drinks must not have been made to the liking of one member in our party. Even though we were at least 20 feet from the bar he figured it out and came over to the table to check it out. He then went back to the bar and adjusted the drink per the instructions of the patron. Excellent customer service. For dinner I had their take on shrimp and grits with a smoky cheddar cheese and it was excellent. I make my own and will give this twist a try. My wife had the fresh catch sandwich and liked it a lot. We finished with key lime pie and were surprised by the presentation (see attached picture). It was a reimagined key lime pie - more like a cake than a pie. It was good but it wasn't pie. Good food and a nice experience.

Everyone was amazing from the front office to our server Brenda. My extremely new fiancé proposed the first night we stayed at Sea Palms then brought us to Sago the next day to celebrate. Sago is beautiful and perfect spot to celebrate. Brenda went out of her way for us, the staff was amazing, the drinks were perfect and food incredible. Can not wait to come back. Thank you again Brenda!

The seating was plush and comfortable and the tables are spaced far enough apart that you enjoy your own conversation without hearing everyone else's at the same time- a big plus in my book. Our server, Cameron, took the best care of us, answering questions and making suggestions that ensured everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. They offer a happy hour for cocktails and small plates even on Saturday which we all took advantage of! Between the group we sampled a large portion of the menu and the only thing we didn't LOVE was the steak Kushiyaki (skewered grilled meat). The steak was too tough and smoky for our tastes, but every other dish and drink we would absolutely recommend! Some standouts were the Szechuan noodles, the salmon and Hamachi crudo, the tuna tartare and surprisingly? The burger and fries! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

My wife started with a glass of wine and I had an old-fashioned. The wine was a Zwiegelt and a decent pour which was nice and dry. I enjoyed the old-fashioned which was nicely presented but on regular cubes. We ordered a number of items off the HH menu, including the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, black bean tlacoyos, a short rib torta, and the Dorothy burger and fries. The torta was tasty but small. I'd pass on the tlacoyos but it was fine. We also ordered a fresh salmon belly off the raw bar menu which was my favorite and very tasty and would definitely order again. This was a nice experience and would try again. I'd rate at a 4.4 if Yelp scoring allowed it. Check it out.

We arrived for an early dinner and we're greeted by the hostess and bartender. Everyone was very welcoming and they offered us seating anywhere in the bar area. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were offered seating in the dining room. Once we were seated, we ordered wine and the Apple, Pecan, and goat cheese salad (split in two plates). The server brought us both a very nice portion and we thoroughly enjoyed the salad as it was fresh and very tasty. My wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits which they are known for as being notable and I ordered the Seafood Pot Pie. The shrimp and grits were excellent with a heap of blackened shrimp over a flavorful Gouda course grits. The shrimp were cooked just right. The seafood pot pie had the blue crab bisque as the base and loaded with shrimp, white fish, salmon, and small scallops. It was topped with a puffed pastry square. The pot pie was also an excellent dish that I would definitely recommend. Next time I may come back for the crab bisque as an appetizer. This is a very nice place, with great atmosphere, and very friendly service. I would give it a 5.0 and recommend you try it.

There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great! The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). Good bathrooms and lots of tasty looking items in the refrigerated cases (including various types of seafood to cook).

I decided on a grits bowl . I was shocked at ghe size of the bowl when it was delivered a short while later. Huge is an understatement. The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!
