    Eggrolls

My friends and were craving pho near the beach and stumbled upon this place. It was definitely warm that day and there were not a lot of people inside. Service was fast though with the food. I ordered the eggrolls as an appetizer and then had their pho. The eggrolls were crunchy but would have liked a bit more flavor and portion for the price. As for the pho, there were good portions of meat, but the broth did not taste as flavorful and was bland.

This place is seriously a letdown not even close to the taste of Vietnamese food.. you're better off spending the money on gas going to Westminster to get good authentic Vietnamese food. Seriously overpriced!!! Not going there again Super salty Pho

I LOVE their shrimp spring rolls. It's $11.50 and little bit pricey in compare to other places but it's worth it. Shrimp spring rolls with Avocado yum yum yum!!!! Great combination! Fresh and tasty! The service always great here! The workers always welcoming. The ambiance is cute! Lots of writings and pictures all over the wall and make you busy while you are waiting...Try it and you'll love it! Wherever we go for eating pho this place is our stop for shrimp roll. It's hard to order from somewhere else when you try this location. Saigon Beach you are forever on my heart.

Overall: 3.6/5 (dine in) This is a small storefront that's street facing so it might be hard to find parking right in front. I was surprised when I got there because I thought it was a sit down restaurant but the set up is really for take out/delivery. They have bars & stools along the side of the walls but at max, the restaurant can only seat 8-10 people. Customer service is good here though. Pork Belly Bun Slider ($5.95): Better than the grilled pork slider but was just okay. Grilled Pork Bun Slider ($5.75): The grilled pork was very dry. For both sliders, they gave a lot of carrots which I liked but they were lacking all the Vietnamese flavors. The buns were soft though. 420 Downtowner Special ($10.25): We were both so disappointed when we tried this. The presentation was nice but the taste was mid. The green colored rice and the shredded chicken were bland. The pork on top was a bit less dry than the one in the bun and was the only thing with flavor. Nam Nam Wings (5 Wings For $7.95): The wings were the best item of the night. They were crispy and tasty.

The pork bahnmi :: forgive spelling:: was actually pretty great. I loved the smoky aroma within the pork and it had a lot of flavor. It was my favorite. I had quite a bit of bahnmi and they weren't as impressively as flavored as this one. I really liked how casual the atmosphere was, I got a kick out of the wall decoration with a play on words. The server was very flattered by my compliment. She did exactly what was needed. I was there around noon, 4/17/25 so i hope the manager knows who she is and did a good job. Again that was the best sandwich.

Yum! Thst grilled pork vermicelli was excellent. Grilled just right with thst jusicy, tender pork on the vermicelli made just right . Not too soft or mushy. Nice and firm noodles. The vegetables in it were fresh and crispy too. Highly recommended!

Great Vietnamese food in Newport! It's a nice little spot in the popular area of Newport Beach. There isn't much seating but it's the perfect grab n go. The service was good and quick. The food was even better. Grilled Turmeric Chicken Vermicelli Noodle was a 10/10! The chicken was seasoned and perfectly cooked. The noodles were great. It was filling and the sauce was perfect. The shrimp spring rolls 10/10. They taste like authentic spring rolls. The peanut sauce was untraditional, but still good peanut sauce.

I enjoy a good Vietnamese restaurant but when I stopped in I didn't get any food. It was a warm Spring day so I opted for one of their limeades. They have them in the bubbler so I chose the mango passionfruit one. It was delightful albeit a tad sweet. It's a good thing they pack with full with ice so it can mellow out. I took my drink and walked along the boardwalk taking in the ocean views and the cool breeze. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on supporting a neighborhood Asian restaurant. Cheers!

Cool inside! We were cracking up at the puns

A pho baguette? It's like Bahn Mi and Pho had a baby and it was the best of both! It was so so so good! Think French dip with pho flavors dipped in pho broth! The pork and vermicelli was so fresh and so delicious! The buns were incredible! This will always be on our list when we come visit! Can't wait to try more food options! Everything was so so good!

The only reason this place is getting 2 STARS is because the service sucks and they greedy with chili oil!! We order our food and tell me why did the guest after us received their food before us. Also, when we requested for chili oil it went from grands to mini tall size (Starbucks). The staff weren't not attentive and were very slow!! The food wasn't too bad. I give the pho (3/5) the eggs roll (3/5). The decor was very artistic with hand written tags on the wall and a few pictures on the wall. The small is very small. I would have thought this place would have better service since it's in NEWPORT BEACH!! Definitely not OC MATERIAL!!

Easy service, cozy dining, perfect for fueling up around hitting the beach. I loved the spicy lemongrass chicken soup, it was like the classic super comforting chicken broth with onions and cilantro and a little kick of spice. My friends loved the wings and drinks too.

Open on holidays like July 4th, like a true Asian restaurant! Got the: 1. Cajun green beans ($14): 9/10, the lemon pepper butter sauce was scrumptious, I even wanted to add rice to it. -1 for green beans that are on the old side and the ends weren't chopped off. The corn nuts on top are meant to give a nice crunch, and while they tried to crush it, it's still too hard for my liking, so we mixed it with the sauce so it could soften up. 2. Seafood soup ($26): 7/10 and not worth the $26, as the swai fish is very little, you get only approx 4 shrimps, and the owner couldn't allow subbing calamari for more shrimp as he explained that the seafood is all pre-portioned out. The soup is very sour like Tom yum but it had too much lemongrass and was too sour for my liking. It came with 3 pieces of cucumber that could rival Ding Tai Fung and spicy sauce that seemed like their rendition of Lao gan ma. The price would've made me -1 but they get a +1 for the cucumber and Lao gan ma type spicy sauce, otherwise it would've been a 6/10 for me. 3. Mushroom & Beef Stir Fry ($23): 9/10, the beef reminds me of shaken beef and the sauce is very flavorful of beef. Love that the rice is delicious chicken rice, it's so addictive! If the mushroom was more umami it would take this up to a 10. 4. Garlic Noodles with Prawn ($22): 10/10, my second favorite on the menu (my fav is still the discontinued mushroom soup) and out of all the garlic noodles I've had, this is the best one. It's garlicky, the noodles are perfect texture, and the shrimp are large and crisp. I've been ordering garlic noodles at every Viet restaurant I've been to and haven't met a better executed one 5. For dessert, pistachio mouse cake ($12): 10/10, never knew pistachio and berries are a good combo but it was so mind blowing! The pistachios had the perfect crunch, and the wild berry sauce helped cut the richness of the cake. I only wish there was 2-3 more pieces of strawberry as it is the perfect accompaniment to cut the richness of the mouse cake. TLDR: summer menu is worth a go (minus the seafood soup) and please bring back the mushroom soup!!

This time we ordered the beef tongue fried rice, The dao, and the seafood tom kha pasta. The fried rice was a little disappointing because it was too soggy which threw off the texture. Have been to this restaurant many times, and food is always consistent! Came visit to the restaurant last week, and ordered my favorite Grilled Escargot with Garlic Butter and Peppercorn, Grilled Scallops with Cheese, and my all-time favorite Chilean Sea Bass hot pot! The grilled escargots are a must-have when visiting this place! These are perfectly grilled with rich garlic butter for sweetness, and with a slight kick of spiciness from the peppercorn. Don't forget to also dip the escargot meat with black pepper and a few squeeze of fresh lime juice! If you like melted cheese, then the grilled scallops with cheese would be the perfect match. Each scallop is covered melted cheese and comes sizzling on a hot plate when ordered! Last but certainly not least, my favorite dish of this restaurant is the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The order comes with your own tabletop gas stove, along with a hot pot filled with a tom yum like sour soup base. For ingredients, it also includes a plate with slices of pineapple, quarter cut fresh tomato slices, fresh bean sprouts, rice noodles, and a full plate of large pieces of Chilean Sea Bass. The place itself is a small/medium size with lots of tables for seating multiple small/medium sizes of parties. We were a party of 5 (4 adults, one baby/toddler with a high chair). I loved how they accommodated my child with their children's menu in addition to providing us with scissors to cut up noodles. Upon stating our allergies, they helped us with food suggestions and limitations. It's honestly the little things that go above and beyond, as well as their friendly service. They weren't overtly checking up on us, and had just the right amount of interaction and help. Food: 3 of us got the beef belly pho and one got the beef rib, my son got a kids mean. Upon receiving our bowls you'd think by looking at the clarity of the broth that it wouldn't be super flavorful, but it absolutely was. It's not overpowering, but the right amount of savory with a hint of sweetness from the added o green onions. Each pho came with the garnishes of basil, lime, and bean sprouts as normal. We did have to ask for small side plates For those who wanted hoisin and sriracha on the side, but not a big deal and quick to get. I'm also a huge fan of the lychee lemonade at vox, which they had here. Not refillable, but still loved it! My son got their chicken nuggets with fries since the pho broth had some sesame oil which he's allergic to, but he loved it. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. Overall, would love to come again for a great bowl of pho if the wait isn't too long!

Great first time experience! Was told about this place before, so I was glad when friends suggested…read moremeeting here. Very spacious and open, staff here were friendly and helpful. They also seemed really organized, even clearing the table efficiently & professionally! Very tasty dishes - everything had a rich flavor with each bite, without overpowering your taste buds. You could taste the various ingredients distinctly too, which made me feel like everything was very fresh. Unique brunch menu, I didn't expect the creativity in each dish we ordered! I loved the curry crab omelet, lots of flavor, and the seafood ceviche, very refreshing with a light coconut lime dressing. Will definitely be back again when I'm in the Irvine area...looking forward to trying out more items! Another plus for me was how careful they were about not cross-contaminating foods, as I have food allergies. Thanks for that! :)

I went here recently for my friend's bday dinner on a Saturday w/ 8 people total. It's next to a…read morehuge parking lot so parking is easy to find. We had a reservation & waited 10-12 min. to be seated after checking in. Once we sat down, we were greeted & handed menus but then got ignored for 20 min. until a guy server came to our table but he only attended to the couple in the corner of our big table which rest of us girls assumed he'd take all of our orders going around the table but nope.. after the couple ordered & received their drinks which was another 15-20 min. so almost an hour w/o water. I raised my hand looking around to see our server w/ another server standing chatting like they're on break until one of the guys from our table called the server over finally! As a former server, I always give grace but it wasn't super busy. All of our food took around 25-35 min. to come out which wasn't bad. I got garlic shrimp noodles & parts of all my shrimps were burnt so only half my shrimps were edible but garlic noodles were delicious. We were able to cut our cake here no charge & pay separately on their portable tab thing the server told us to make it easier to split. Our table wasn't checked on during dinner until I flagged a server to get water refill when we were almost done w/ our food & bday girl asked to bring her cake out. Overall, food was pretty decent not amazing. This location was unprofessional & needs to work on their customer service. The other location's service is way better!
