    Eggrolls
    Mimi P.

My friends and were craving pho near the beach and stumbled upon this place. It was definitely warm that day and there were not a lot of people inside. Service was fast though with the food. I ordered the eggrolls as an appetizer and then had their pho. The eggrolls were crunchy but would have liked a bit more flavor and portion for the price. As for the pho, there were good portions of meat, but the broth did not taste as flavorful and was bland.

This place is seriously a letdown not even close to the taste of Vietnamese food.. you're better off spending the money on gas going to Westminster to get good authentic Vietnamese food. Seriously overpriced!!! Not going there again Super salty Pho

I LOVE their shrimp spring rolls. It's $11.50 and little bit pricey in compare to other places but it's worth it. Shrimp spring rolls with Avocado yum yum yum!!!! Great combination! Fresh and tasty! The service always great here! The workers always welcoming. The ambiance is cute! Lots of writings and pictures all over the wall and make you busy while you are waiting...Try it and you'll love it! Wherever we go for eating pho this place is our stop for shrimp roll. It's hard to order from somewhere else when you try this location. Saigon Beach you are forever on my heart.

Overall: 3.6/5 (dine in) This is a small storefront that's street facing so it might be hard to find parking right in front. I was surprised when I got there because I thought it was a sit down restaurant but the set up is really for take out/delivery. They have bars & stools along the side of the walls but at max, the restaurant can only seat 8-10 people. Customer service is good here though. Pork Belly Bun Slider ($5.95): Better than the grilled pork slider but was just okay. Grilled Pork Bun Slider ($5.75): The grilled pork was very dry. For both sliders, they gave a lot of carrots which I liked but they were lacking all the Vietnamese flavors. The buns were soft though. 420 Downtowner Special ($10.25): We were both so disappointed when we tried this. The presentation was nice but the taste was mid. The green colored rice and the shredded chicken were bland. The pork on top was a bit less dry than the one in the bun and was the only thing with flavor. Nam Nam Wings (5 Wings For $7.95): The wings were the best item of the night. They were crispy and tasty.

The pork bahnmi :: forgive spelling:: was actually pretty great. I loved the smoky aroma within the pork and it had a lot of flavor. It was my favorite. I had quite a bit of bahnmi and they weren't as impressively as flavored as this one. I really liked how casual the atmosphere was, I got a kick out of the wall decoration with a play on words. The server was very flattered by my compliment. She did exactly what was needed. I was there around noon, 4/17/25 so i hope the manager knows who she is and did a good job. Again that was the best sandwich.

Yum! Thst grilled pork vermicelli was excellent. Grilled just right with thst jusicy, tender pork on the vermicelli made just right . Not too soft or mushy. Nice and firm noodles. The vegetables in it were fresh and crispy too. Highly recommended!

Great Vietnamese food in Newport! It's a nice little spot in the popular area of Newport Beach. There isn't much seating but it's the perfect grab n go. The service was good and quick. The food was even better. Grilled Turmeric Chicken Vermicelli Noodle was a 10/10! The chicken was seasoned and perfectly cooked. The noodles were great. It was filling and the sauce was perfect. The shrimp spring rolls 10/10. They taste like authentic spring rolls. The peanut sauce was untraditional, but still good peanut sauce.

I enjoy a good Vietnamese restaurant but when I stopped in I didn't get any food. It was a warm Spring day so I opted for one of their limeades. They have them in the bubbler so I chose the mango passionfruit one. It was delightful albeit a tad sweet. It's a good thing they pack with full with ice so it can mellow out. I took my drink and walked along the boardwalk taking in the ocean views and the cool breeze. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on supporting a neighborhood Asian restaurant. Cheers!

Cool inside! We were cracking up at the puns

A pho baguette? It's like Bahn Mi and Pho had a baby and it was the best of both! It was so so so good! Think French dip with pho flavors dipped in pho broth! The pork and vermicelli was so fresh and so delicious! The buns were incredible! This will always be on our list when we come visit! Can't wait to try more food options! Everything was so so good!

The only reason this place is getting 2 STARS is because the service sucks and they greedy with chili oil!! We order our food and tell me why did the guest after us received their food before us. Also, when we requested for chili oil it went from grands to mini tall size (Starbucks). The staff weren't not attentive and were very slow!! The food wasn't too bad. I give the pho (3/5) the eggs roll (3/5). The decor was very artistic with hand written tags on the wall and a few pictures on the wall. The small is very small. I would have thought this place would have better service since it's in NEWPORT BEACH!! Definitely not OC MATERIAL!!

Easy service, cozy dining, perfect for fueling up around hitting the beach. I loved the spicy lemongrass chicken soup, it was like the classic super comforting chicken broth with onions and cilantro and a little kick of spice. My friends loved the wings and drinks too.

Luckily our friend had put our name down quickly and we were seated upon the rest of our party's arrival within 15 ish minutes. Now that I've tried the food, felt the service, and enjoyed our meal, I can see why it has a line and a high star rating! The service: super friends and accommodating! The place itself is a small/medium size with lots of tables for seating multiple small/medium sizes of parties. We were a party of 5 (4 adults, one baby/toddler with a high chair). I loved how they accommodated my child with their children's menu in addition to providing us with scissors to cut up noodles. Upon stating our allergies, they helped us with food suggestions and limitations. It's honestly the little things that go above and beyond, as well as their friendly service. They weren't overtly checking up on us, and had just the right amount of interaction and help. Food: 3 of us got the beef belly pho and one got the beef rib, my son got a kids mean. Upon receiving our bowls you'd think by looking at the clarity of the broth that it wouldn't be super flavorful, but it absolutely was. It's not overpowering, but the right amount of savory with a hint of sweetness from the added o green onions. Each pho came with the garnishes of basil, lime, and bean sprouts as normal. We did have to ask for small side plates For those who wanted hoisin and sriracha on the side, but not a big deal and quick to get. I'm also a huge fan of the lychee lemonade at vox, which they had here. Not refillable, but still loved it! My son got their chicken nuggets with fries since the pho broth had some sesame oil which he's allergic to, but he loved it. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. Overall, would love to come again for a great bowl of pho if the wait isn't too long!

Never skipped a beat on what part of the meal her customers were at (ordering, mid-meal, refills, dessert, paying, etc.) We ordered: A bowl of clam chowder - creamy and flavorful. Good amount of clams. A side salad - my hubby and I couldn't agree on dressing so Abbie brought both for us on the side. 3-piece fish and chips - crispy fish batter, not too thick. It's mahi-mahi so it's meatier than the typical cod. Fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Doused all of this goodness with their malt vinegar. We recommended this place to the other water polo families. Hopefully they stopped by too. I will definitely return! Thank you.

It wasn't overly sweet like a lot of brunch spots tend to do. The balance was just right, letting the flavors shine without feeling like dessert for breakfast. The blueberries, maple syrup, and cream brought everything together perfectly. The spicy shrimp pasta was equally impressive. It had a great kick to it, but the spice didn't overpower the dish. You could still taste all the flavors of the pasta, shrimp, and sauce. That's a rare thing because too many places mistake heat for flavor. Great Maple got it right. The restaurant was very busy, which is usually a good sign, but despite the crowd, the service never slipped. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly. If I had one minor complaint, it's that the popularity means you should expect a wait during peak hours. But after eating here, it's easy to understand why it's packed. Excellent food, attentive service, and a brunch experience that's worth coming back for. Human beings may disagree on politics, sports, and whether pineapple belongs on pizza, but Great Maple serving great food feels like one of the easier things to agree on.

The entire place had full of life and is very clean. Our server today is Matt and he did an amazing job taking care of us. Very respectful and mindful and was happy to serve us which is a huge plus for me as customer service is also a defining factor for dining in my book. My family and I ordered a variety of dishes however I will be writing based on what I ordered personally / shared with and have eaten. Brew Bears - Cinnamon Toast (4/5): Our server Matt recommended this to me so I decided to order it to try it out. The drink comes in a small bear shape cup and had a soft and fluffy maple syrup + cinnamon foam. The drink is good and not too sweet which is a plus. Only downside is that the drink is fairly small and for $10, I would at least expect it to be in a larger size. Famous Maple Bacon Donuts (5/5): These were delicious! Very soft and fluffy; the maple glaze is sweet and gooey, and the bacon has a nice smoke to it which complimented the sweet maple notes. The donuts were clearly freshly made which we really appreciate. Be careful though as my family and I ordered 3 orders (3 pcs / order) and didn't realize how big each donut is! It is very filling and might make you too full for the other dishes if you normally don't eat a lot. Mac and Cheese (3.5/5): I ordered this alongside both the chili bacon bits and shrimp add-ons. The Mac and cheese came with spiral shaped pasta with a panko crust and white cheese. The overall taste to me is decent; nothing that really stood out to me but it was still good. The amount of shrimp provided vs the cost for the add-on (+$7) wasn't worth it for the small pieces and overall portion. I did also get some fettuccini pasta noodles towards the bottom of the dish which threw me off. Not sure if that's intended or by accident. Parmesan Truffle Fries (5/5): The fries we ordered came in hot and fresh with a side of ketchup. There was ALOT of flavor and you can really taste the truffle. The texture for the fries was nice and crispy to perfection. Overall, we did have a great experience and I do see myself coming back some time in the future. I would probably change up a few orders to try different things out.

So I was super excited when my friend recommended me go there for dinner. Now I had seen this place for a million years when I lived in Orange county and it had changed hands a while back. But I was so excited as it's probably one of the more beautiful restaurants that I've seen right off of Pacific Coast highway. They have valet parking in the front, and because Newport Beach is severely limited in their parking choices, it's best to take advantage of that. Walking into the place, it has a wonderful, warm inviting atmosphere. The people and servers are really helpful and very warm in the front. They definitely make good suggestions, so take advantage of their expertise. We ate a bunch of stuff. From the spring rolls, to the chicken set hey, too to Coconut milk soup to crying tiger, I was absolutely stuffed by the time dessert came around. My friend told me I had to try the Coconut ice cream, but I was leaning more towards to the Thai tea creme brulee. I said what the heck? Let's order both. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. I would give this place 10 Stars if I could but you will only allow five so let me say it here. This is definitely a 5 plus place. Bottom line? I will definitely be coming back here again. If you live anywhere near Newport Beach, you owe it to yourself to go to this place. We went yesterday around brunch time and were kind of disappointed…read more We sat at the patio, which was cute. We had sparkling rosé and then later Sancerre. They and both were great. They have an impressive wine selection. The disappointment was the food though. We started with pot pie bites, which were the best thing on the menu. They were delicious. I wish they came with more than just four pieces. They are almost like pot pie wontons. We also ordered the three dips. Only one was edible. The hummus was so salty that we couldn't even eat that. Then there was a plain yogurt, which was boring. Lastly, there was the tzatziki, which was good. It came with flatbread and carrots and was beautifully presented. We also ordered the garlic meatballs. The meatballs had no flavor. They were covered in cheese and sauce and then there was a head of garlic on top. The garlic was cooked down too much so you couldn't get any garlic flavor. I would not order this again. We also got the chicken nuggets because they were popular, but honestly, they just tasted like deep fried overly cooked chicken nuggets. I would not order this again. Lastly, we got the wedge salad. This was a really boring salad with not a lot of flavor or toppings. The bacon on top was hard and inedible. Overall, an underwhelming dining experience, and I won't be back
