We came for dinner on a Friday evening. There is a parking structure behind it so it wasn't too bad to find a spot, though it is pretty busy. They have outdoor seating but it was too warm to eat outside. Ambiance was nice with pop music in the background. Staff was quick and friendly. They served waters and menus quickly. After taking our orders, the food came out fast too. We tried four dishes: pork rice plate (#119), oxtail Eden special pho, tiny vermicelli with beef (#107), and the banh xeo (#147). I liked the tiny vermicelli the best, with the fried egg roll. It came with fish sauce, lettuce, carrots, and cucumber on the side. Each dish was about $15-17 each, in big portions. They also served free coconut mango sago at the end, though it was too sweet for me.

Looking for authentic Vietnamese food? You have to check out Saigon Eden! I started with their signature 12-hour simmered beef phở, and the broth was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The crispy imperial rolls were perfectly crunchy, the Bún Bò Huế had just the right amount of spice, and the bánh mì, bánh xèo, and cơm tấm with grilled pork and shrimp were all delicious. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic. The restaurant is clean, spacious, the service is fast and friendly, and the portions are generous. If you're craving classic Vietnamese comfort food, Saigon Eden is definitely worth a visit! Bonus: Dine in at their Chino Hills or Alhambra locations and enter for your chance to WIN tickets to see Chris Brown and Usher! Good food, good vibes, and an unforgettable night could be closer than you think. The raffle began on June 15, 2026.

My family has been coming here for years and we've loved it every single time. We just visited recently and I wanted to share our experience. Our server was incredibly helpful with our questions and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing, as always. Items we ordered: Ordered: Summer Rolls Spring Rolls Fried Tofu Charbroiled Pork, Shrimp, and Vermicelli Eden Special w/ oxtail Beef Rib Pho Drinks: Avocado Smoothie Fresh Coconut Everything we had was so flavorful and their vegetables were so fresh. Plenty of parking as well! Lots of tables to bring a large party with you! They're currently raffling off some Chris Brown/Usher tickets so make sure to check out their IG page as well. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back!

Saigon Eden offers a large selection of Vietnamese dishes, making it a great spot whether you're craving pho, rice plates, vermicelli, or specialty items. We started with the rice cakes and pork spring rolls. The rice cakes were soft and delicate, while the spring rolls were packed with fresh vegetables and had a nice balance of textures. The Vietnamese crepe was one of my favorite dishes. The crepe itself was crispy and filled with bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork, creating a flavorful bite with plenty of crunch and freshness. The broken rice plate was another standout. The sweet and savory fish sauce soaked into the rice perfectly, and the assortment of meats was well-seasoned and flavorful. The vermicelli bowl was fresh and satisfying, featuring aromatic lemongrass pork that was beautifully charred. The pho was the highlight of the meal. The broth was rich, fragrant, and full of beef flavor. The noodles maintained a great texture, and the meats were tender. The fall-off-the-bone beef rib was especially impressive and made the bowl feel extra hearty. To finish the meal, they even provided complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and there was plenty of variety on the menu. If you're looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Alhambra area with lots of options and solid execution across the board, Saigon Eden is worth checking out.

Haven't been here in a while and was really pleasantly surprised on how tasty all the dishes are. I ordered the grilled pork and egg roll bun and it was large enough for my dinner and lunch the next day. We also got the pork chop and egg roll broken rice. The pork chop was perfectly grilled and carmelized. The service was a bit off putting at first since we were not welcomed greeted and had to ask to be seated when there were a lot of employees just standing around. They were actually nice just not highly focused on customer service

Went again and found that they keep adding more to their menu when the menu is already more than 10 pages Staff is very attentive Love the decor. So relaxing here Food is made fresh and played nicely

    Oxtail Pho

I've been here for Vietnamese pho before and thought it was just okay, but after coming back with friends, it was a disappointment. The beef stew served with a French roll was the worst dish we tried. The meat was tough, and the broth was thin like a soup. We expected it to be thicker--more like a sauce for dipping the bread. We also ordered the oxtail pho, and it came with a lot of excess fat that hadn't been trimmed. My friend had to spend quite a bit of time removing it before eating. My pho with rare beef, brisket, and tendon was fine, which is probably why I didn't think much of the place before. But after trying more of their specialty dishes, it's clear they struggle beyond basic pho options. One positive is that they are generous with the meat portions. Overall, not a place I'd return to, and my friends felt the same.

Grilled pork vermicelli with fried spring rolls

I personally thought they were ok. Not a restaurant I'd keep in my regular rotation. I think they've been on the social media promotion band wagon. When we visited this weekend, there was a table with 3 ladies speaking quite loudly and proudly that they were influencers. They had ordered a huge spread across two tables for 3. Needless to say, there were a lot of take out boxes. I don't care for the social media hype. I care about the food and service. Service today was fine. There were several staff members around and it was easy to flag them down whenever we needed something. They also did come around the table occasionally to check on us. Food is where it fell flat. Overall, the food ate heavy and greasy. This is rare since Vietnamese food is often known for it's freshness and healthiness with all the veggies etc. We ordered a pork chop over broken rice with shrimp paste in soy paper. The rice was perfect broken rice, the pork was perfectly seasoned and fried nicely, has some nice lean bites and fatty bites. The problem was with the shrimp paste. It tasted stale and old and hard. It was off putting and really needed the nouc cham to help masks it. Second dish was what I usually order at all Vietnamese restaurants. Grilled pork with vermicelli. The one we got included 2 fried spring rolls (or ja yo). The spring rolls were good, I enjoyed them! The pork was a bit dry. Vermicelli was fine. Veggie mix only had romaine, cucumber, and bean sprouts. No basil or mints. The nouc cham was too bland to fix this dish. We needed more acid. There were too many raw garlic in the sauce that it gave us heartburn. The best thing we had was my ice tea. Simple jasmine tea was nice and thick, not watered down. Very refreshing and comes with refills. They have been here for a long time, and I want them to do well but I can understand why business has been slow of there are way better options out there right now.

    Pho with well cooked beef
    Lyane P.

This is a solid Vietnamese food restaurant. The service was quick and the food came out fast. I got an order of the pho with well cooked beef (#25) and an order of the spring rolls which came with a peanut dipping sauce. The sauce really elevated the spring rolls, which was fresh and delicious!

    Charbroiled beef with rice
    Lennie H.

I ordered a thit nuong (charbroiled beef) with rice, my beef did not taste like charbroiled beef. To be fair, I knew it was going to be off when I saw it come out, but I was too nervous to double check to see if it was actually the correct order. The color did not look like how the beef is usually cooked, nor did it have the same taste, and the cut was a bit thick. It felt like they gave me pho meat and grilled it. My friend had the pork chop and we shared an order of egg rolls, and that tasted okay! Everything was on the more affordable side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants these days. But I think you get what you pay for.

    #19 ribeye beef pho
    Jeff C.

I liked it. With this rainy weather I was craving some pho and this place hit the spot. Came in on a packed Friday night. Inside is simple with a good amount of seating. It's a good place for small groups. I got the #19 ribeye beef. It was good! My friend got the udon noodles and they liked it. E also shared some yummy house rolls. They also have rice dishes. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Efficient staff. There's parking lots within a block or two.

I've been here several times and the Pho Tai has been consistently great. Saigon Eden, both the Alhambra and SG locations, is certainly my go-to for affordable and fulfilling Pho.

There's lots of plaza and structure parking nearby. There's a front and back entrance. It's a great place for large groups with lots of seating. The staff are really friendly and quick. You'll definitely get a good portion of food for the price. I barely was able to make a dent on my plate. The rice was good. The imperial roll was really crispy and hot inside. I really enjoyed it. The garlic green beans were super tasty.

Not that this place is any closer but now I know of it in case I'm around and craving it. Starting with parking - I guess there's a lot behind but I parked on the residential side street. It was free and I didn't see any restrictions (signs). There's street parking on the main drag but I'm not a fan of trying to park or pull out when cars are doing freeway speeds on surface streets. Walked in and immediately seated. Glad I got there when I did because shortly after I was seated, the crowd hit and diners were standing waiting for a seat. I got there before the lunch crowd. It's my first time and it was on a Sunday so I can't tell you what their peak times are. Call and ask or chat with a regular. Service was find. When needed, I waved someone down. Typical service I expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. As for the food, I ordered too much. I ended up taking a bunch home, mostly the rolls. I don't like soup to go. Noodles would have gotten too soggy ... But I enjoyed it to the point I know I'll go back. The broth hit me on the first sip. It felt like a punch of flavor that woke up my taste buds in a really good way. I took several sips before putting my Pho together to start eating. At other places, I'm used to getting a portion of how many rolls were served here. I ended up eating half of each, taking the rest home. I like that they were balanced with ingredients - I wasn't looking whether something was missing or not. I could tell with each bite. I really enjoyed this place and I only wish it was closer.

Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town.

We have 10 people ahead of us when we got there. If possible, sign up for the Yelp waitlist long before you come during prime hours (if you are able to). We got the bun rieu, the hu tieu, and the pho ga. For the appetizers, we got the spring rolls and the banh beo. We also got one order of com tam to go. Total without tip came out to be $99. Only downside is the line and to be honest, I would not stand in line for this restaurant but my aunt really wanted to come here for the bun mam.
