Was in the area with my family and came across this buffet.. The food was great and delicious, tasty and not greasy. The only reason I'm not rating them a 5 ***** because the service was horrible and by the time we were on our second round to get more food our check was brought to the table without us telling them to bring us the check and bringing us water every time our cups were half way... They were trying to get us full with water so that we eat less.. while the waiter was picking up the table he was asking us our method of payment, we were not even done we were getting ready to get dessert they were rushing us to leave and the place was not even full..This is called a Buffet = EAT ALL YOU CAN EAT.. Probably the worst buffet I have ever been too. The food was cold, cold, cold. The taste on some of the options were nasty. (I.e. Coconut shrimp, pineapple chicken, seafood salad, beef). If you like sushi and sashimi it represents a very good value, wide selection the day I went, everything was fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately the rest of the buffet left me cold, just like the food on it. The hibachi wasn't bad but it wasn't really anything special either. For a 10 buck lunch you could certainly do worse, so if you just want to fill your belly and your expectations are not too high, give it a try. read more

Came here for a quick lunch and it was awesome! $9.95 for an adult lunch buffet with a very wide variety of options including fruit bar, salad, apps, entree options, sushi, hibachi and self serve ice cream and dessert bar! Service was great, very polite and prompt! Highly recommend for lunch! read more

My family and I went to the grand opening of Sakura Buffet restaurant. You could tell it was there first time as there were many kinks to be ironed out. There is a variety of food to choose from but I wouldn't say it was quality food. The restaurant is kid friendly but my kids didnot like most of the food. You also pay for kids 3 years and older whether they eat or not. There is a hibachi grill where you choose the food and the chef makes it. There is sushi, and ice cream along with sweets like cookies, muffins etc. The buffet itself has shrimp, soups, salmon, other fish, chicken etc. We didn't try everything as we are not buffet people. I would ecourage everyone to try this restaurant but for lunch $10 gets you the same you would eat for dinner at double the price. Gratuity is not included and is extra. The food was mostly cold. I would have preferred to spend My money at a nicer asian restaurant. There is room for improvement but since this area has little options I am sure they will do fine. The buffet was okay. The sushi bar had a variety and taste was alright. The food bar the chicken or steak was plain as well as the friend rice and lomein the only decent food was the steam dumpling. So this is a buffet, which means the expectations shouldn't be too high to begin with. Service was very friendly. We tried a lot of things and all agreed that the best thing is to choose your own ingredients for the hibachi. That way the food is hot and fresh. Sakura Buffett is new to North Naples and it is fantastic. If you like sushi, go here. It's a feast of high quality sushi for under 20 bucks. Sushi, sashimi and good sushi not just California rolls. Came here for the first time today. I was hoping for a fantastic experience. Things that turned me off were: 1. No sashimi at all (very disappointed with that) 2. Very poor nigiri selection. Fish slices were paper thin. No red tuna at all. 3. Roll selection was decent but missing a few usuals i.e. Spicy tuna roll, eel roll. Etc. 4. There aren't very many main food selections. Some of them were almost empty and not refilled. Japanese salad and no ginger dressing at all. 5. Lighting is not very well done. 6. All of the employees standing or sitting around and they all seem to not want to be there. Not portraying a friendly happy atmosphere. Especially the two gentlemen behind the sushi counter. I would happily pay more if the above was fixed. Likely will not be interested in returning until they work on this. Hopefully they read the reviews. read more

this place is delicious I really like the food and it's reasonably priced I especially love how you can have your own meal cooked right in front of you in just a couple minutes the only reason the stars went down was because the sushi isn't the best and because the fried rice is usually kind of stale. :-) read more

I went for dinner Friday night with my mother and a friend and we all enjoyed our meals. There was a good variety, the food was tasty and fresh, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I think some of the negative reviews were from when they first opened and hadn't gotten up to speed yet. My favorited were a chicken and vegetable dish and the coconut shrimp- not the fried and butterflied, but the kind in a white coconut glaze. The sushi was good too. They even had crab legs which were sweet and fresh but cold. ?? They had soups and deserts but I was too full to try those. I look forward to going back! read more

First time going. Went during the lunch hour on a Saturday. The food was cold, not many options, and it wasn't even stocked. Sushi bar had 3-4 pieces of sushi on each plate..... Sushi chefs were just standing around chatting in the back. The desserts were a joke, chocolate chip cookies and fruit... No thanks. DEFINITELY WONT BE GOING BACK! read more

First of all I get enough food because it is a buffet. secondly the food quality is great for the price, the people and the place are guest friendly. of course there is room for Improvement, but I have to be realistic, I can't expect to get a 5 stars service at a regular buffet. read more

I've been to many buffets in my life, this one is by far the best! Exceptionally clean flavors and a friendly staff, something you really wouldn't expect from a buffet. Absolutely the WORST Japanese restaurant EVER. We ordered off the menu...thinking thing would not have been sitting on the buffet for a while. The Teriyaki chicken was cut into such small pieces that all I could taste was teriyaki and no chicken,,,the vegetables were way over cooked and terribly soggy. The wine (house cab) must have been opened last century and had turned to vinegar. The dining booths must have been from and out of business Howard Johnsons from 1970 as they were very old and lumpy. To top things off...the place was filthy. you can see on the floor where they pushed yesterdays dirt into a corner. This place will last about a year until all the "ONE AND DONE" crowd works their way thru. I went to this place shortly after it opened and pretty much agreed with the low ratings, but the other day I took my son there for lunch to see if things had improved since the 1st time. I'm happy to say that the lunch we had was very good this time. Added since they opened is a Hibachi chef who cooks up a Mongolian BBQ type platter consisting of your chosen fresh ingredients such as beef, shrimp, chicken and many fresh veggies, cooked right then and there on a hot flat top and given the chosen sauce. Very nice. The sushi was good, but not in the same class as a dedicated sushi place, but not bad at all. Homemade spring rolls and ragoons, dumplings, pineapple chicken, beef w/ broc all good. Fresh fruits, cakes and ice cream for desserts. Seems kid friendly with some basic American fare too. I would say give it a try yourself instead of not going because of the initial low ratings. All you can eat lunch for 2 with sodas and tip was under $30. read more
