Mango roll, night moon roll

Sushi was very fresh, service was fast and efficient. Would definitely come back! The night moon was our favorite roll, but all were delicious.

Unfortunately, If I could give this place a 0 stars I would, we thought we would give this place a try and at least enjoy all or part of it. We are sushi lovers and have had been to some wonderful sushi spots near and far. This by far is the worst tasting sushi we have ever had. The sushi rolls had imitation everything in it...perhaps the cucumbers were actually fresh, but that's it. I ordered my husband a chicken teriyaki dinner with tempura, he's not a picky eater but even he gagged at one bite of his chicken. The tempura tasted like very old panko breading and DO NOT get me started on the old stale oil they used. It was really bad. We trashed our entire dinner in the garbage and made something fresh at home. Do not recommend!

Quiet, clean and fast sushi place. Great service, good food, the only thing I didn't like was that the inside kinda feels like a mall food court on the inside.

My wife and I managed to get a table without reservations on a Saturday night, just before the dinner rush, which was a great move. Everything was delicious, put most appealing was their sushi selection, particularly for me, their angel and rainbow rolls. I also tried some of their noodles but was too stuffed to finish it that night. However, the noodles were still good the next day so big thumbs up for that impression. The staff was super friendly & lively. I'm not the biggest fan of their seating arrangement though they seem to make it work. I'd come back just to try more of the specials menu!

Excellent way to kill an hour before hitting the spa down the block! Sushi was good, beer was cold, win-win

There was a lot to like here. A welcoming vibe, gracious service, good food, broad menu and fair prices and what seems as if it might be a family owned business. We're glad we went in and we'll go back - 4 stars on the horizon. WELCOMING VIBE Light, bright setting and everything was sparkling clean. Sushi bar with seating at same as one of the options and the fish in the case seemed very fresh. Seating is standard height at the sushi bar and at tables throughout the restaurant. Additional seating at teppanyaki tables in the back of the restaurant for dinner service. This is not 'high flashy' ambiance, but a welcoming, un-pretentious setting. We liked it. GRACIOUS SERVICE We were welcomed and seated promptly by a friendly woman who provided menus. Our orders were taken after a while by a gracious server who helped us decipher the things we didn't know on the menu. My husband and I are pretty savvy food folks but sushi specifically and Japanese food in general is not often a choice for us so we're babes in the woods for many menu items. Our server didn't make us feel one bit like country bumpkins for asking questions and he was happy to answer them and direct us to choices he thought we'd enjoy. For example, I learned the little orange fish roe I detest on sushi is called tobiko and he happily offered to leave it off the roll we wanted. (I know...I dislike Beluga caviar too...call me a hick. :-) ) GOOD FOOD Based on our lunch, the food is good. We enjoyed the Panda roll and the sweet potato tempura. The Panda roll ingredients all tasting distinctly flavored and fresh and the texture of the sushi rice was just right. That you can order sweet potatoes as tempura on their own; we like veggie tempura too but the sweet potatoes are our fav part, is 'thumbs up' from us. The presentation was a unique one for that the sweet potato pieces were cut large. The tempura coating was just enough but not too thick and was perfectly cooked to be crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The serving size was generous and served piping hot to the table. BROAD MENU & FAIR PRICES The menu included soups, salads, appetizers, sushi, sashimi, nigri, rolls, rice bowls, noodle options in both udon and yakisoba presentations, bento boxes at lunch (only about $8) and entrees. The man who took our order was setting plates at the teppanyaki tables right about the time we were finishing up lunch at 2:00 so it suggests to me teppanyaki menu is available at dinner. Our roll was $12.95, the tempura was $4.50 and green tea only $1 each with our tea mug kept filled. Lunch for two for less than $20 before tax seemed a good deal to us. READ BEYOND THE HEADLINE TO SEE ALL THE DATA... ...is advice I always give to folks trying to figure out what is really going on in anything. Yet I didn't take my own advice here. We delayed going in for the year we've lived near by and driven maybe hundreds because I never looked beyond the 3 star average in Yelp to read the reviews. Which goes to show you need to read the reviews and I find it best to do that in sort order of "newest first". If you take a look at chronology here you'll see the average stars are dragged down to a spate of poor reviews relative to service in 2013 to the mid 2014 era. Which don't necessarily apply today but do lower the overall rating. More recent reviews trend higher. Also since one reviewer in a negative review dinged the restaurant for not having Japanese speaking people working there somehow suggesting inauthenticity, I'll share that during our lunch time there were many service people front of house, including sushi chefs behind the counter and some of the kitchen staff eating their meals at a back table who were all Japanese heritage and they were speaking Japanese with each other and English with their guests. For what it's worth to whom that matters. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible parking in the lot. Level in the door and all on one level. All seating is standard height. 3) NEXT TIME: We noted that all of the kitchen staff were enjoying rice bowl menu options for lunch. That sounds like a pretty darned good idea to us to try next time too! 4) TAKE OUT MENU: We noticed a take out menu on our way out the door. That sounds like a great idea after a busy day.

If you are looking for the absolute WORST sushi experience in the entire Treasure Valley,…read morecongratulations, you found it. I have never dealt with such atrocious service & their Sushi was subpar at best & that's being generous. Right out of the gate, it was a total disaster. The waitress brought absolutely nothing to the table--no utensils, no ginger, no wasabi, nothing. You know, the standard basics that literally every other sushi joint on the planet drops off on autopilot? We had to literally request every single item just to physically eat our meal. Then came the food--or whatever you want to call it. I specifically asked if I could swap tuna for yellowtail and asked about getting what I actually liked instead of just settling for "chef's choice." They completely ignored me & brought the exact opposite of what I ordered. Nothing we got was correct. My guest ordered a lobster and fish roll, and they handed her a plate of literal, unidentifiable mush. There were no actual pieces of fish or lobster to be found anywhere in it. Just mush. And the scam they pulled with the ikura was unbelievable. I ordered two portions, which is supposed to be four pieces total, which again is commonly standard at any other Sushi restaurant. Instead, they brought out two pieces. When I pointed it out, the manager actually came over to our table to argue with me, insisting I was going to be charged full price for half the food. Literally $5ea for 1 piece of Sashimi that tasted like shit. Outside of the painfully incompetent service and the manager's garbage attitude, the fish had no flavor, They didn't even bring out all the food we ordered, but we were so fed up and disgusted by that point that we just paid the bill and walked out. I don't know if this is how they run their business every single day, but it was bad enough to warrant this warning. There are plenty of incredible sushi spots around here. Do not waste your time or your money at this absolute trainwreck of a restaurant. I guarantee I will never step foot in this place again.

The thing that jumped out at me was the photo of the burger, now call me crazy but I think at this point I can look at a menu, photos of food and then the reviews to guide me. Yelp hasn't failed me yet! The first thing was walking in the door there were two hostess who smiled and greeted me. We were seated at the bar since there were just two of us. I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! The ambience was a place you could have a business meeting or take your significant other on a date night. There is literally something for everyone on their crave-able menu ( see what I did there?) Our server who was the bartender kept our glasses full and made sure he checked on us often. I found my new burger spot in Eagle, Idaho?!?! Five stars.
