One of my new favorite places to go to. Not only is it healthy but it's effing good and also fun to eat there. I like how its kind of an assembly line to build your salad but it makes it easier. This review is not about the product instead it is about how seriously they take their customers. On the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend of 2017, my wife and I were in the mood for salad. We ordered online and while it was raining outside went to pick up the salad only to arrive at the location to find out that they are closed on Sundays. They should have not even allowed us to submit an order if that was the case and on top of that they ended up charging us on our credit card, I guess that was for the hassle that they were able to provide us. This is a healthy girl's dream restaurant. I can choose between a salad or a wrap.Talk about heaven. Basically the concept of Salata is you can build your own salad or wraps. They also serve soups but I have never had them before. They have 5 different lettuce mixes and endless toppings. The people that work there are always upbeat and they keep the place very clean. This particular location is by my job so when I go at lunch it is crazy busy but staff will get you in and out quickly. read more

I really like Salata & the concept, per my previous review. However, after going there today, I have to say, I am sick of them being so stingy with the lettuce! The put it in this deceptively large looking bowl so it looks like you're getting a lot. However, if you're not putting in every topping they offer, you're not left with a whole lot. Today, I had to ask for more of several ingredients, and there was so little lettuce that half the salad ended up being toppings. I ordered a salad because I want actual lettuce. Seriously, how cheap is lettuce? I'm starting to feel like this is a rip-off for $10 with protein. Others talk about the huge portions, but they must not have very big appetites. read more

I have been to Salatas on a couple of occasions. My sister told me about it. I went one evening after work, as I do appreciate a good salad. I'm glad I went, it was extremely fresh, and I love all the choices! I didn't give it 5-stars simply because it is rather expensive. I would probably go more often. She is very strict with the employees and hardly behaves pleasantly with customers. she charged me for an extra falafel though her employee crushed it even though I never ask her to do so in my salad; that eMployee agreed to do one more unchurched but lady at counter would not agree. Definitely THE salad place to go in the area!! I usually get a small salad (which despite the name is pretty large) and you get endless toppings and a choice of their many dressings (my fave is the ginger lime ) or you can mix and match like one of my friends does! Then you have a choice of protein. They have some pretty bomb chicken, AMAZING smoked turkey, salmon, shrimp, tofu, quinoa, and I might be missing some but you get the point, you have a wide variety. Obviously if you add protein the price goes up about $2 or $3. If you get the salmon it goes up $4. Regardless, with the protein added it's about the same price as snappy salads. Overall I prefer salata Over snappy salads bc it's endless toppings whereas snappy you have only 8, and the variety at salata is just enough to suit your tastes without being overwhelming (which is how I feel at snappy with the dressings and the protein choices). This might also have to do with the layout of salata, which again I prefer, because everything is displayed in front of you rather than as a list or in bottles for the dressings. This location specifically is always clean and nice, the staff is nice as well, and every single time I've gone )which have been too many to count) there has never been a shortage of anything so highly recommend read more

Moved back to Irving and tried this place out after year missing out. Went there after work in the evening. As I walked in there was one lady working and she was on the phone having what appears to be a personal conversation. After about 5 minutes of waiting she came to start serving me and building out my salad. Shortly after starting the phone rings again she stops what she is doing and leaves to answer the phone. Meanwhile another customer walks in behind me and is waiting. A gentlemen came from the back and began building the salad for the guy behind me totally ignoring that I had been waiting. The lady was still on the phone having a personal conversation while I was waiting and while someone who came in behind me was being serviced. Giving the service 1 star as I will not return, the guy that is there during the evenings rarely greets you and seems to have an attitude. read more

Unbelievable corporate policies and rude managers refusing to serve food! This particular location refuse to serve food in case you need to order Kids meal and the kids are not with you. They said this is a franchise and we've been told by the corporate office to do so. I called another location (as I did not believe them) and they told me I can come in anytime with or without family if you want food. I had to leave without food. They have lost me for life as a customer. What a shame! I called corporate and they said they need to train employees with regard to this!!! read more

I ordered a salad via Foodsby (work delivery) and the order was missing a couple of items. I contacted the Southlake location and left a message and the local owner, Mark called me. He apologized about the inconvenience and offered to bring the items that were missing and brought an extra side of dressing to mix with the one I ordered to spice things up! He also threw in a couple cookies! This is customer service at its BEST! I truly appreciate when businesses put customer satisfaction first! Although the ingredients are fresh and delish, $11 for a small salad with a 1/2" slice of salmon is a bit high, even for Las Colinas' standards. I liked the ease of placing my order online, however, one of my ingredients didn't make it into my order! I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

By far the worst customer service, we walked in and the person making the salads looked like he didn't want to be there. I think for a $12.00 salad the service would be a bit better they do not have enough people on the weekend so the employees aren't very friendly. I love this place. In the afternoons it's fresh and delicious, and the staff are amazing and friendly, and the looong lines move really fast when they have the staff. BUT don't go in the evenings. It really really sucks in the evenings. It's a complete contrast to the mornings and afternoons. The staff is unfriendly and slow. We've gone a couple of times at night and decided not to go anymore after 3:00. Just last night we went at 6:30. The unfriendly woman gave me 1/3 of what I usually get in a salad barely giving me a full scoop of any of the ingrediants I asked for except for the cilantro that she dumped all over. Then she doused the whole thing with way to much ranch after I asked her for only a little. Then when we went to get drinks the ice machine had been turned off and all the tea that we had paid for already was gone. There was only two flavors available. THEN to top it all off we usually pay $22 for drinks and salads, but they charged us $30 and double charged for ingredients we didn't even order. The food in this place is WONDERFUL, and I recommend it to everyone and drag my bf there all the time, but seriously don't go at night. I went here for the first time for lunch yesterday. They have 3 options. A small salad, large salad or a salad wrap. All of the ingredients were fresh. They have multiple kinds of chicken, shrimp, salmon. The prices are reasonable. They have homemade dressings. I tried the lemon one that it was really flavorful. They have kale and spinach. You can get any mix of lettuce you would like. They have lots of options and you can pick 5 ingredients without an up charge. Wow! Salata exceeded our expectations and more! Not only is this place amazing quality but is also a much better value than its competitors. At Salata, you get unlimited toppings for the same price you would pay at Snappy Salads (where you can only pick 8) or Saladworks (where you can only choose 5). They also have a tea/lemonade bar with a variety of different delicious teas and lemonades to choose from. The customer service was fantastic as well. We WILL be back!!!!!! read more

12/04/14 Update: *** I have gone from going to Salata 2-3 times per week to maybe once every three weeks. I went today and see that they have added artichoke hearts, which I love and were conspicuously missing before. ...and they cost an extra dollar. Honestly I think I'm done with Salata. I love Salata and I eat lunch there (Irving location) more often than at any other restaurant, at least ten times a month (2-3 times a week). The ingredients are always fresh and the staff is very friendly. It took a few tries to nail down my 'recipe' but once I did I like and even crave it. It is by far the most expensive salad around and more expensive than most of my other lunch preferences. Unfortunately, expensive just got more expensive, as they have raised the surcharge for chicken and seafood to $3 and $4 respectively (for 4 oz.) You get to customize your whole salad with tons of toppings at no extra charge (outside of meats and avocado which have an up charge). Tried for the 1st time today. Disappointing! The TORTILLA SOUP has NO tortilla chips. When I asked about it, the mgr just said, very rudely, "We don't have tortilla chips". When I showed her they were listed on the menu for the tortilla soup, she was armed and ready with her standard fib, "The tortilla chips are in there, they are added by "corporate" when they send us the soup. Uhhhh.....I know what tortilla chips look like, and there ain't none in that soup! And having the soup "sent from corporate" doesn't sound too fresh to me. Then of course, when I got through the line, there was no place to sit. Typical in a Chipotle-like model with a slop line where they leave you standing with a tray of food. Misrepresentation.....rude service.....no place to sit. I won't be back. On the positive side, the place was clean, the salad ingredients fresh, and the line moved fast. Normally, I LOVE Salata, but today's experience was less than desirable. The taste was great and the ingredients were fresh, however they were so chincy on the amount they gave me. Granted, I did order a small salad to go, but at the other Salata locations I've visited, the salad bowls are brimming. I don't add a whole lot of different ingredients in my salad, so I really want a lot of what I order. When I was paying for my lunch, the girl actually knocked $1 off my purchase and said, "There's no a whole lot of salad there." Seriously, it took me about 5 minutes to consume my salad completely.
