Food is good but the pricing is kinda off for tacos rice and beans and charging $4.50 or $9.00 for 2 sodas is mental. Then adding hidden charges for debit card is whack. 4 tacos rice and beans and a bowl of soup w tip shouldn't cost $77!!!

This quaint little place was such a nice surprise. We are visiting from Southern California and found this place on yelp. The food was so delicious! It was like eating at my gramas house. Such friendly ladies and the food tastes like they cooked it with love. The food came out looking just like the photos on the menu !! That's a first for me. Even the salsa bar was like amazing. All the stuff I would find on my gramas dining table for dinner. The price may seem too much but the food is so worth it. We had 3 combo plates and 1 fountain drink and 2 beers. $63.00. We cleaned our plates ! Highly recommend this place

This little strip mall restaurant is a treasure! The restaurant is a mix of fast casual and slow food, with comfortable booths and "real plates," but plastic silverware and throwaway chip containers. The staff are super friendly and offer many options for food customization. (As their sign says, they do not serve fast food. They make everything to order.) The prices seemed a little bit elevated, but for the delicious flavors, it was worth it. My husband says he is ready to go back anytime!

I was very excited to try this place because it says it's authentic Mexican food. I had the Queso Birria taco. It didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped, but it was good for white wash, Mexican food. The green hot salsa was not hot. Would I go back? Maybe for some rolled tacos but that's about it. Sorry.

We can't get enough of this place. The food is great, the portions are massive, and the counter-to-table service is fast. Just go there.

Nothing great. Would not go again. I ordered some steak fajita dish. I could probably fit all the steak in the hand of a small child.

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Carne asada burrito which came with chipotle cream sauce, carne Asada, and pico. Also beans and we asked for no rice. We both had rice on the side with beans. The burrito was nice and big. The rice was really good. And the beans were mediocre. The burrito was good, except the only bad thing I would say it was a little too greasy, and when you bit into it, all the greasy juice came out. I'm not sure if we would go back maybe, to try something different.

The parking lot outside was parking so we thought we may have to wait, but inside was not busy yet and we were seated immediately. I ordered the smoked chicken enchilada as I saw it was a Yelp favorite and it was delicious. I ended up taking half of it home since we all filled up on chips and salsa before our meal. This restaurant is decorated so cutely. I love how there is a Baja influence with all the surf boards but also southwest appeal. There is plenty of seating and tables for big groups. Even with other people yapping around us, the noise level was perfect to enjoy company. 10/10 would recommend.

Update: the owner messaged me and told me to buy an entire chicken. Uh, maybe put some chicken in the chicken burrito? Update #2: The owner sure does like to argue with the customer back and forth. Now, he proposed that I order from Chipotle instead since they fail to give customer what one paid for. Update #3: The owner still going back and forth with me and now claiming I did not pay for the burritos. Not really sure what he means by that. Decent amount of food, although the chicken and carne were both a bit dry. I enjoyed the beans and rice, and the additional accouterments. Overall, good flavor and seasonings, just dry protein. Not sure if that would change on a busier day if fresh food was being pumped out, but would be open to checking this place out again!
