Been going here since it opened, and love that we finally have a decent taco joint downtown. The food is fresh and tasty - the horchata is crazy good. But... my beef with this place is that EVERY time I place the SAME order I've requested for months and months, it's ALWAYS wrong. I'm not sure if there's a slight language barrier, or their POS system is limited - or worse, they just don't care. I place my order... they repeat it back with a smile. I can only validate breakfast, but it's a great place if your looking for something simple and filling. The menu, specifically for breakfast is very easy to order from. The only real decision to make is Taco, Burrito, or Bowl. From there you pick your meat and cheese preference and you are set. I recommend the bowl because it comes with Chips and Salsa and is a very hearty meal. I also Highly recommend the chorizo. I am normally not a chorizo fan, but Salsa Limóns chorizo has just enough spice to add flavor with no heat and pairs wonderfully with the retried beans, egg, and cheese. I prefer to use the chips to make a breakfast nacho - it's awesome. Side Note: The eggs are all scrambled, but if you ask they will fry an egg for you. They do it all right there on the flat top so you may want to tell them to leave it a little runny, because when the yolk merges with the beans and chorizo the bite is amazing. Plenty of room and tables, especially for a downtown Dallas restaurant. Much nicer than the original Salsa Limón in Fort Worth, but you can't go wrong with any of the Salsa Limóns. read more

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a visit to Klyde Warren Park. Amazing tacos and delicious salsas made for a quick recuperation from the heat (the very reasonably priced margaritas probably helped, too). The walking distance location from our hotel couldn't be beat. Having pickled cabbage on top of my tacos was new for me. I loved it. This place was so good, we came back twice during our visit to Dallas. We ordered the El Capitan tacos with al pastor, the steak tacos, chicken tacos, steak quesadilla and rice and beans. Everything was so good but the El Capitan tacos with the al pastor was absolutely heavenly. We also grabbed a spicy margarita which was great! We came back for breakfast the next morning and got the migas with al pastor and a breakfast burrito with bacon. Good place downtown for tacos and they are open late. Really enjoy their breakfast tacos. Go there during the peak of lunch and you will spend 10 min in line which isnt bad and you are also likely to power thru your meal quickly. 3.5 stars to be exact. Came here one night with a friend and ordered 2 tacos and the molca bowl. Portions are smaller than expected. Maybe I'm so used to the generous portion sizes back in the Richardson/Garland area. The molca bowl came with a bed of rice and beans topped with your choice of topping and pickled cabbage. Personally, the portion was perfect since beans are very filling. But for $7-8 I could of just gone to chipotle for 2-3 times the portion size in addition to veggies. My friend got the pastor tacos. She said it was good but definitely not worth the price ($2.50 per taco). The horchata was really good! (free with a yelp checkin)! I might stop by later in the future if I'm ever in the area but there are better alternatives around Dallas at a lower cost. read more

I have eaten at every location in Ft Worth. This has the same great menu as the others. Though to my surprise they were cooking their pastor on a pineapple core rotisserie. I think this may have been the best pastor I've had out of all the locations. I had magus which is a traditional Mexican breakfast made up of eggs refried beans and fried tortilla strips. It comes with 3 tortillas your choice of corn or flour. For $7 you get three breakfast tacos plus extra filling. The restaurant is very bright and inviting. This is a great place to just get a quiet moment from the busy downtown work week. Though I've always missed the lunch rush. I know this place can get pretty busy. read more

The food here is fantastic when they get the order correct, which is about 50% of the time. This place has the worst service I have experienced on a consistent basis in Dallas. Routinely get food out late, or lose the order. Never have figured out the process for getting chips and salsa after the order. They won't answer the phone for pickup even on off hours. If the pastor wasn't so good I would never ever come here. Taco Borracho around the corner is better in every other regard. Even right now I ordered with no line at 1120 and it's 1140. This place! I first spied it in passing on the way to a meeting, and the bustling, bright, cheery, and unique looking space was intriguing. I thought about it for 2 days straight until I finally popped over for a late lunch yesterday. As soon as I stepped in the door I was greeted with smiles. So simple, but they made me glad to be there. I'm usually more drawn to fish/chicken/veggie options, but the honey mustard marinade described for the chicken filling sounded odd. I just wasn't ready for that. So with the absence of fish, I chose a regular veggie taco and a El Capitan with asada. I gobbled them both, sneak-licked the juices from my fingers, and then stood and placed the exact order again. Delicious. I washed it down with jamaica, which I thought was just fair. Also, guac was glaringly missing from the menu, but I enjoyed the fresh avocado. Overall, they definitely left me wanting more. After a Dallas adventure this was a great place to end the night! I'm one to stick with the same type of meat. I'm a carnitas girl, but when places don't have don't have I go with chicken. Last night I decide to venture out of my comfort zone and try a barbacoa, pastor, and of course a chicken taco. The barbacoa were hands down the best!!! I even went back and got two more. What a great new addition too the downtown area!! I'm really big on customer service and several of my friends have highly recommended this spot so today I tried it. OMG can't wait until I try the rest of the menu. Firstly before I even walked in the door the cashier who was so sweet was waving me in. When I arrived she was nice cordial charismatic and helpful with the menu. She explained everything and even recommended her favorites. The El Capitan with asada and avocado was bursting with flavor. The breakfast tacos I've only been too one other place in dallas that has better now too there specialty drinks you have too try the limeade. I was looking for a casual restaurant within walking distance from my hotel and this was one of the few options opened on a Sunday night. I ordered one taco (corn tortillas) with asada and one El Capitan (flour tortilla) with barbacoa. Both were delicious, however I preferred the original taco with corn tortillas. The El Capitan had a good amount of barbacoa, but they were skimpy on the asada. Two tacos were enough for me as a light meal. Three tacos would be good for a regular meal. The restaurant was bright and clean. The staff was friendly and service was efficient. The soda fountain offers Maine Root sodas (yum) instead of the usual Coke/ Pepsi products. While everything I've had there is delicious, my go-to is always the Breakfast tacos. They are served all day long and are crazy cheap! It also has a great atmosphere. I was in Dallas for a conference at the Sheraton and arrived on a Sunday. Since the hotel is in the downtown area not a lot of places to eat were open for lunch. My coworkers and I found this place after just trying to find what was open and in walking distance. We were SO happy we found this. Being from Los Angeles I miss being able to find great Mexican food in DC so finding this place was great. I got the El Campeón burrito which comes with barbacoa (braised beef), rice, beans, a fried egg, cheese, crema, avocado, cilantro, and onions and then chips and salsa. The burrito was huge and I am so upset I could only eat half of it. It was the perfect combination of ingredients - salty, creamy, flavorful. They also had a few different salsas to choose from. I liked mixing the salsa verde with the jalapeno one. I wish DC had a place like this. If I come back to Dallas, I will have to be sure I make as stop here. read more

This place is not clean and the food was not the way it was described in the menu or in the reviews. We ordered pastor pork bowls. It was rice and beans with 1 oz of dried pork that is covered up with shredded cabbage in order to hide the little protein they serve you. The worst pork al pastor we ever had. When I showed the manager the very little amount of pork in my bowl and asked if they can add a fair amount after paying $13. He claimed it was 2 oz of pork and refused to do anything about it. He was dripping in sweat and wearing a filthy apron. Now we believe that the reviews for this restaurant are questionable. All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more
