Cute little corner area in Del Mar off the main road. The service was great. The tacos were delicious - especially the shrimp taco. I loved my strawberry drink with a Tajin treat. We heard this place started as a food truck and they hope to expand into another brick and mortar location. It must be those great tacos! There is limited free parking behind the building as well as two hour street parking. My friend parked at the nearby City Hall for free and walked up. Be sure to bring a jacket as this corner gets very breezy. There are heaters, but we were there for lunch.

First time at Salt + Lime! Luckily, we were able to get seated after about a 10-minute wait. The ambiance was great, and while service was a little slow, it seemed like there was only one server handling the floor, so it was understandable. I will say, the drinks were hitting super delicious all around. We ordered an insane amount of food, but the real stars of the show were the ceviche and the corn in a cup. 1000/10, I'd absolutely come back for those two again.

salt + lime = slime, you got my heart because that mole was soooo good! I've always wanted to try mole, wasn't too familiar with the dish however they blew me away with the subtle mushroom flavor and ingredients that was in it!!! 10/10 compliments to the chef! My margarita was not as sweet as I expected, it was okay. Bone marrow quesadillas were amazing as well, wish it paired with a sauce! Chicken and mashed potatoes, my cousin enjoyed! Place was busy, we were seated after waiting about 2 minutes. This restaurant definitely opened doors for me to explore and venture into mexican cuisine more. Staff super friendly, definitely coming back for this fire mole!!!

We ended up on a Friday night in Del Mar. And decided on this place for dinner due to good Yelp reviews and liked the vibe based on the photos. I was able to get a reservation and we didn't have to wait that long. The hostess was nice and we were given a nice spot. Right away, we like the ambience which is nice and cozy. The food was good and we find the servings to be towards bigger portions. For starters we ordered the Caesar salad. It was huge and the waiter split it for us. That was good and refreshing. We also had the Bone Marrow Quesadilla. They were huge bone marrows sprinkled with rockets greens and quesadillas on the side. We also had an asada taco and quesa birria taco. Which were also good. For drinks I had the cilantro jalapeño which is nothing special. For dessert we had the Kuty's churros which was nothing special. Only thing I didn't like was the credit card processing fee which they pass on the customers. Normal tip rates are now much higher than before. So any additional charges just don't sit right with me. So we try to avoid places like this especially since there's a lot going of good food places out there that don't have extra charges.

Not sure where to start. Rough cooks on the steak, not sure if it's our fault for getting dishes with steak at a Mexican restaurant. I had the mole which its base was delicious, I asked for a medium steak and got it extremely well. My friends steak was the opposite and nearly raw and chewy. Nobody seemed stoked on their tacos and tostadas. We didn't drink and maybe that would've helped us. Also... the bathroom was like a club the music was so loud and the lighting was strobing (in case you're looking for somewhere to party).

Our group of 6 ordered some appetizers and multiple dishes. The dishes were just ok and were mild in flavor and taste. All of us felt that none of the dishes stood out as very good and there was nothing specific to mention about them. Service was good. Disappointed with the taste and lack of flavor.

We drive to The Oceanside to LaJolla PCH drive and we love driving by Del Mar coast. We just recently drove and as a Yelper, Yelped this place as reviews are good. I had to investigate. Feeling Mexican foodie so I dove right in. Reserved and after about 10 minutes, we got our seat. This place isn't small, but it isn't big either so reserve during busy times. Bar area exists and seating on counter height chairs near the bar too! All pretty much covered cozy outdoor/indoor type seating. I liked the vibe. I tried the bone marrow quesadilla. The bone marrow, I think 3 pieces, was good. The quesadilla that is separate was good too. The bone marrow being sauced a little would have been better served with a plain toast or tortillas, but I get it and ain't complaining. We also had the tacos. Good as well. Finishing it with churros. Service was decent and prices was decent. The only thing I must say is that they charged us for a salad they split without even asking us if we wanted it split. That's a big shame! And on top of that, this place charges more for credit card usage passing the costs to the customers. So your bill that you thought was decent, is now a little fluffier that you would like it to be. I'm not too happy about that! I feel like places that tack on more after you've enjoyed dining, just blows it when doing this! And this place ain't no different. Is that even legal? So what could have been a pretty decent experience becomes a meh experience. Verdict - hard pass for me. I'd rather go to up front pricing rather than a hidden pricing one. Some may call this petty, and it is maybe. But I'd rather pay for the food with the price I see with no hidden things that crop up after enjoying dining C'mon!

My group of motorcycle buddies went on a Wednesday night and we got a table for 7. We all loved the place.

Great spot. Food and service were really good. Prices are good for the area. I had a carne taco, a fish taco and a side of refried beans.

Great flavors in all food! Awesome service and clean bathrooms. Great place to bring the entire family.

Perfect for date night! We got Sopes De LA Casa as an appetizer, it came with 2 sopes and was delicious. Won Tostada and Taco Mi - Rey were both coming back for, along with a Mango drink that was heavier on the alcohol! The service was attentive and nice!

I wanted to try a new place none of us have ever been to before so I went here with my family for my birthday. I had seen the pictures online and thought it looked like a nice inside outside kind of place. I made the right choice. The food was delicious! I totally can't remember the name but I got the nopales avocado toast tostada thing, so good. I could totally eat a whole plate of that for lunch, easy. I also got a quesabirria but asked to hold the cheese. I'm lactose intolerant which sucks but the taco and consommé were both very tasty. I'm bummed I didn't get the name of our server. She was great. Even brought me a churros dessert that didn't get a photo because it didn't last long enough. Haha

Came here on Friday for my son's graduation his choice. Was really impressed outstanding service and the food was incredible. Everything tasted delicious. Had a party of 8 but could only get pictures on my side of the table, but everybody pretty much ordered the same things. Was really impressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff. Thank you for making his day special.

Came for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday. We had a reservation, but it wasn't too crowded around 3pm. We were seated next to their indoor tree. The restaurant itself is open not enclosed, so on a hot day, it can get a little warm. We started off with their Potato Taquitos. An order comes with three with mashed potato inside. It's topped with a mound of shredded lettuce, crema, cotija cheese, pickled onion, and green salsa. These were pretty good! we also got their Salt & Lime Salad that has mixed greens, queso panela, toasted almonds, cherry tomatoes, mandarins, green apple, avocado, and a cumin vinaigrette. This salad was a pretty big portion size. I enjoyed the mix of toppings, and the dressing was tasty! A refreshing salad on a hot day. I saw photos of their ceviche, and it looked incredible! We got the Ceviche Yucatan with shrimp, fish, onions, tomato, cilantro, radish ,orange lime base, and creamy cilantro. When they bring it to your table, they'll pour on the orange lime based and drizzle on the chili oil. They'll also leave the bottle, so you can add more if you'd like. It also comes with two crispy tostadas, though with the portion size of the ceviche, I think they could have provided more. Though, overall, the ceviche was a hit! I've never had a White Mole before so seeing that on the menu caught my eye. This White Mole dish comes with a variety of mushrooms, green oil, chili powder, and micro cilantro. You can also add chicken, which we did, and it went great with the white mole! Definitely enjoyed this!

Her behavior made both my mother and me feel very upset, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. She also stood very close to us and made physical contact by touching me, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. No customer should be treated this way. We came to your business hoping to enjoy ourselves and receive good service, but instead we experienced rude, aggressive, and unacceptable treatment from a manager. The finding of this place, for us was the most difficult part so the Destination Unknown was a great moniker. We went straight up to the bar before seating to order some drinks. The bartender was super friendly, and the drinks were poured nice and stiff, keeping that speakeasy vibe. The design of the interior was pretty awesome and well thought out, versus just slapped together. It was not busy when we went, close to closing time and we could sit pretty much anywhere we wanted. They have bar seats set up on a viewing deck, or you can sit on the rattan style chairs that sort of encapsulates small areas to keep you in your own little area in a way. On the way out one of the other bartenders, in noticing my Star Wars shirt, gave me some Yoda facts. The drinks here are pretty pricy, but I have yet to go to a speakeasy or tiki bar where they are not. Also, the pours are solid, so you get what you pay for. The burger comes with garlic aioli, and I asked for extra on the side for my fries. I finished the burger and almost all the fries, which says a lot. The burger was flavorful and satisfying without being overly heavy, and the fries were crispy and paired well with the extra aioli. My husband got the classic burger, which comes with their version of a 1000 island style dressing, and he liked it. He also ordered a beer that paired well with the burger. My sister-in-law had the ahi tostadas and tuna ceviche and enjoyed both. The flavors leaned fresh and bright, especially the ceviche, which balanced nicely with the heavier items. The space itself is a highlight. There's a lot of natural light coming in through large windows, and the decor is very aesthetic and thoughtfully designed. It feels bright and inviting without being too loud. It's better suited for smaller groups rather than large parties. Service was great. Our server was very kind and attentive. At one point they accidentally dropped a couple of my husband's fries and immediately brought out a full fresh basket to replace them, which was a nice recovery and honestly a win. With three sodas, one beer, all the food, and a 20% tip, the total came out to $144. Not all food and drinks are pictured (missed my husband's burger and beer, and my sister-in-law's tostadas). Here they have a limited selection of flavors that they change every few weeks, and it's customary for them to give you a taste and explanation of each one before ordering, similar to a wine tasting. After the tasting they ask you to choose 2 flavors. I don't remember the flavor names, but they're named after iconic hats. I had a flavor that had mango and passion fruit mixed with a flavor that tasted straight out of a See's candy box. Wife had a super dark chocolate with matcha. All I can say are the boldness of flavors they achieve here can only be done thru using the highest of quality ingredients. Truly remarkable their flavors. They are extremely indulgent without being too rich, hard to explain but each bite was so addictive. We can't wait to return to Del Mar and bring the whole family (and dogs) next time, and An's will be a must visit on that trip. True 5 star, must try spot. (Sorry about the messy half eaten pics...)
