We went as a big party of about 16 for a family member's birthday. The Service/waitress was ok once everyone was seated. We had to wait a while to get drinks(maybe they were waiting to bring waters/soda) with the cocktails. Food was out pretty quick once we ordered. Hubby got the 14oz ribeye and loaded baked potato. I got the 12oz ribeye with mashed potato and we both got a side salad. We also got the fried onion for appetizer which was cold. The bread was hard and cold. Never got any hot bread. The steaks was TERRIBLE 12oz and 14oz was very flat, had no seasoning, and was tough, had to carve to cut. They put butter on top that never melted. The mashed potatoes and baked potato was ok(but you can't go wrong with those). Over all we were very disappointed with the total bill being over 100 bucks for 2 people. First I will start with all the goods. The parking was plentiful. Staff was friendly and greeted with smiles. Waitress was very attentive. However, from start my husband ordered two drinks from the bar and was told only one drink was allowed per person. I never heard of this before. She said it was an "alcohol law". Okay that's fine. We ordered spinach dip for the appetizer. It was good but Luke warm. I was ready for a cocktail that I was told could not be customized. That too is fine. Moving on to main course. I ordered a bacon wrapped filet mignon medium rare and was told they don't have it but can put two strips of bacon with a two dollar up charge. My husband ordered soup and it came out cold. We were in town for the night and seen there was a Saltgrass and instantly got excited to go there as we hadn't had their food in quite some time. We've ate at a college different locations in Texas. The entrance was super cute. There are a lot of stairs or there is a small elevator to get up to the entrance. We got immediately seated which was great for a Saturday night or so I thought. We asked to be seated on the patio as it was a beautiful night. We had a young lady greet us and inform us she would be right over then a guy came over and took our drink order. We proceeded to sit there forever waiting on either drinks or to place our order. He stopped by to check on us and we still didn't have anything to drink. We asked to go ahead and place our appetizer order. Our alcoholic beverages came and mine was wrong. Served admitted he order wrong drink and would go get it taken care of. Had to ask for waters again. In meantime our appetizer came and here I sat with nothing to drink. My correct drink arrives and again has to ask for waters. Finally got waters and he went to walk away and we had to ask if we could go ahead and place our order. It felt as though we were the ones dictating the entire process. No initiative from the server what so ever. At some point we had asked for bread and it came out hot and fresh right before our food did. Food came out and it was good but nothing fantastic and It very well could have been the lack of service that was off putting and made dinner not as enjoyable as it could have been. There was long wait times between each course. The 2 tables that were seated after us got done before we did. Sorry for the long rant now to the food review portion Drinks Grilled pineapple margarita was amazing tasted just like it promises. It wasn't too sweet or too strong White cranberry cosmopolitan was well balanced and smooth. I could have drank several of those. Appetizer Pickles and peppers. Decent amount for 2 people well breaded and ranch dipping sauce was good. The peppers are jalapeños which was perfect for us however it's not indicated in the menu what the peppers are so that could be an issue for someone who can't do spicy. Salads were good dressed with cheese and croutons They do put dressing on salad so if you would prefer it in the side you will need to request that. My entree Cajun 12 oz ribeye Ribeye was cooked perfectly comes with crawfish, 2 shrimp and a sauce on top. The shrimp had a sweet taste and the one wasn't deveined. Mashed potatoes were good just a little cold. Hubbys entree 10 oz sirloin and fried shrimp Steak was cooked perfectly Had a great flavor to be a sirloin. He normally orders filet. Tender and juicy Shrimp was cooked well however most of them hadn't be deveined Cocktail sauce is a bit spicy however not as spicy as St Elmo's for those of you that are familiar with there's. The food was good, the service was great. The only downside to our experience is that the grilled salmon was undercooked but management made it right by reducing our ticket a few dollars which was fair. The real winner of the meal was the carrot cake. read more

My husband and I always come to saltgrass for great steak and great service. We have been served by multiple great people, but on our anniversary we overheard our server Sam's conversation to another co worker about management and what really goes on in this place, From managers getting pregnant by co workers to another selling drugs we don't want to be anywhere near this environment!! It really put a bad taste in our mouth and I think we will be finding another restaurant to celebrate our special occasions especially since we come from out of town. Disappointed doesn't cover it. It was more like a $140 mugging. Over seasoned, undersized and overpriced. They "ran out" of baked potatoes, so I got two spoonfuls of garlic-ladened mashed potatoes to accompany the 10-ounce sirloin I ordered that was smaller than the 8 ounce my wife ordered in her combo that arrived without the shrimp. Believing we got the wrong order, when I asked the server if she thought my steak was 10-ounces, she replied "That's just the way they come out sometimes". No kidding. I can see how it came out, thus the question. When she brought the check, she asked how everything was. We said that we were very disappointed in the meal, and she replied "I guess you'll have to wash dishes". I have no idea what that was supposed to mean. I am a "Landry select" member (that and a buck might get you a cup of coffee) but this will be my last visit. I have been wanting to try this Steakhouse for a while now. I was a bit excited that we were in an area with a Saltgrass available so we made our way for a night out. The food was mediocre at best, the choice top sirloin was cooked to med-well instead of med-rare, the starter bread was ok, nothing memorable. The nachos with cheese sauce was just bad. The chips were stale and the melted cheese wouldn't stick to anything, it had a plastic texture. The wedge salad was quite good, along with the sweet tea. Service was ok, but long waits between appearances. Several other servers brought us tea, utensils and bread. The ambiance was somewhere else,but not here. The staff was a hustling, bustling mess of nothing. I can't recommend this place to others, like they recommended it to me without feeling guilty. We come to Biloxi (primarily from Illinois) every year for a 5 day golf outing and Saltgrass is a "must go to" restaurant for us every year. We were staying at the Golden Nugget for my birthday and decided to go to Saltgrass across the street and i am so glad we did. Our server Natalie was the BEST. The NY strip was cooked to perfection and absolutely to die for and the fried mozzarella was delicious with the most amazing cheese pull. Iykyk. Dined here across from our hotel, the Margaritaville, in Biloxi with three people in our party. Food was fine, our server was OK, but it took a little while for us to be served. Bread was brought out cold and and it took ten minutes to get our server to bring our check. A person in my party asked for a to- go container and no bag was given. That's a pet peeve of mine, not a big deal, but the young lady at the hostess stand offered us one bag , for two to- go containers, even after she was informed that we were going to different locations.
