I ducked in to the shop on 4th on my way to the dog park and picked up a bottle of the Indian Summer, which is insanely delicious! I've been here 3 times, bought their Açaí bowl, a juice, and Coffee. All their goodies are yummy. The three stars is for customer service. There is one particular person who works there that seems is always in a mood. Today we asked for brown sugar, and she didn't hand it to us she threw it on the counter and walked away. It seemed like we were asking for too much or we bothered her. She made me feel super uncomfortable, and I won't be going back. I can't stand going somewhere and getting attitude because that person doesn't like their job or people. Their juice is seriously delicious.. I've been twice now for the Lolita Envy (apple, kale, lemon, ginger) and it is unbelievably fresh, tasty, and energizing. I swear I think it even got rid of a headache once. Yes, it is pricey ($9), so if you love drinking your greens AND your in position to be okay with spending $9 on a juice now and then, then do yourself a favor and try it out! The workers are always extra friendly and will give you samples of the different juices. It's also a stone throw away from Retro Row, so you can get your shopping on. I had already done two different 3 day cleanses with SALUD before visiting the new juice bar location and I couldn't be happier. Unlike other cleanses I have tried, SALUD juice tastes amazing and I looked forward to drinking each one. The delicious variety made it much easier to stay away from food. I have a very sensitive stomach with lots of digestion problems and these cleanses don't only help with that but the energy I have feels great! I have overall changed my diet and fitness routine since juicing to stay feeling this way on a daily bases! After visiting the juice bar today I can genuinely give SALUD five stars! When we walked in we were greeted with beautiful smiles by Missy and Angela who are the true magic behind this expanding treasure. They let us sample all of the juices explaining their contents and why each ingredient is used and what it does! I LOVE SALUD!!! this is THEE best juice bar hands down!! I live in Carson and drive to Long Beach once a week sometimes twice a week for my SALUD fix!! This time I got the Acai Bowl which was AAAAMMMAZING!! And the Lolita(my fav) and their autumn juices.. Harvest Moon and Pumpkin Juice are both great!!! I wish they were year around but since they're not.. You have to try them!! You won't be disappointed, Fall In A Jar is what I refer to them as:) Everything here is awesome honestly and you can't go wrong. The service is warm and friendly and it can get a little crowded at times.. Because we're in a pandemic I do feel like there should be a few customer allowed in at one time to place an order and after your order is placed you should wait outside until your order is called. It's a small space and while I was there it was 8-10 ppl in this tight space at one time, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. Hopefully they make some adjustments with that but as far as service and quality 100% A1 hands down. Also, recycle your juice jars, wash them out and remove the labels and return them to salud so that you can eventually get a free drink. They have a stamp card that keep track of the bottles you return so definitely recycle your jars. read more

Salud is my absolute favorite juice place- my husband and I stop and get it AT LEAST twice a week. I love all the seasonal a but the Lolita Envy is by far my favorite of all. I have a 9 year old son and he is entirely hooked on The Strawberry One. I'm only reviewing the one on 4th street because I always get consistent excellent juice there. However- the Salud on Second is very inconsistent. Last time I got The Lolita Envy there was very little ginger. Today I got The Piñata Punch and there was far less cayenne pepper than usual. I don't want to give the one on 2nd street a bad review I'm just hoping someone at Salud will read this one and correct the problem. Really hoping that because they're getting busier that the quality isn't losing out :/ I'll be back tomorrow though! read more

Negative 5 billion stars for the parking situation in this part of LB!!! If you live or work nearby it's great to just walk over, but if you don't your options are to hunt for parking or pay $.50/hr for the lot across the street. Now, $.50 is not expensive at all if you're planning on hanging out at Salud or someplace nearby, but if you're just running in to grab a quick drink it's a little ridiculous. Part of me wants to dock a star for the aforementioned parking issue, but this is probably one of the best juice places in LB. And they picked the right area for success. Some ladies at work were doing their juice cleanse and one day I finally just stopped and had juice tasting. My husband and I love their almond milk, Cool 'cucumber and Shroot farm. We recently completed their 3 day cleanse and let me tell you, it was great. I don't know if this cleanse is for everyone but I honestly didn't feel hungry at all. I was able to finish the 3 day cleanse without wanting to rip my hair or wanting to eat every food that came my way. I had self discipline, the juices gave me self discipline. I was actually at a company picnic and did not feel like I was deprived. I didn't even feel hungry in the morning. We didn't do the cleanse to lose weight (even though we did), we did it because we didn't hold back on our vacation and wanted to do a reset . It was a great reset for sure. This is a great spot to grab some juice and spend the afternoon lounging. This cafe is inviting, bright and airy. The juice selection is plentiful. We tried the soylent green and the cool cucumber. Both drinks were very refreshing although I prefer the the soylent green's stronger flavor. We also tried a matcha latte which was very different from the typical matcha latte. The standout ingredients were the coconut milk and the coconut butter which gave the latte this toasted coconut flavor. I really appreciated the thicker consistency of this latte as well. The entire store is vegan, other than the use of local honey in a few items. The ladies working were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, happy to make suggestions and give samples. In the mood for a slightly sweet juice heavy on greens, I opted for The Grunge ($10), which was incredible. Flavorful and crisp, the tangy lemon and orange perfectly balanced the hefty dose of green vegetable juices and left me feeling energized and alert. Even better was their Up the Anti shot (free with Yelp check in!), a 1oz concoction of beet, oil of oregano, lime, cayenne, and turmeric, served with an orange wedge. It was so delicious that I inquired about purchasing a full size juice of this mix. Perusing their refrigerated takeaway section, I found raw vegan salads, noodles, energy balls, and desserts, perfect to take on the go. I tried their Walnut Pesto Noods ($9), which are zucchini noodles in a rich, creamy nutritional yeast sauce studded with hearty bits of walnut meat and sun-dried tomatoes. I initially thought the portion looked small, but the meal left me satisfied throughout my entire work day.
