Texas Fajitas

OUR NEW FAVORITE PLACE!!! Mondays for Karaoke and Wednesdays for 3$ Margs, this place is original, unique, and a breath of fresh air in today's climate of corporate chain restaurants in over-drive. Lexy is Amazing, met her two weeks ago at karaoke! And today she just became manager!!! The food is always delicious and presented beautifully, definitely outstanding in every way

Service was great. Young lady greeted us at the door, She was very pleasant. We place our order with her to go. The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. The decor of the dining room was modern industrial with a southwest flare.

Good food | great service | nice ambiance First time visit The place looks pretty nice and modern. We got there and there was a 10min wait which isn't bad for a Friday night. We could hear some very loud music in the back and I was hoping they wouldn't sit us near it. Thankfully they sat us closer to the entrance and it was fine. The server was pretty nice. She came with chips and salsa and water right away and gave us some time to decide since it was our first time there. We split the CARNE ASSADA (skirt steak, rice and beans, guacamole, pico, grilled green onions and a Chile toreado) $18.95. Food was pretty good. Not really enough for two but we weren't that hungry so it was fine. Their salsa is very good and a bit spicy. Will come back.

We have been coming since they opened and are still just as happy with the food as we were back then! Their fajitas are great, the chimichangas are wonderful, the enchiladas are tasty, great appetizers & yummy margaritas!

San Lucas is a family favorite! Located in the complex called the 'rail yard' - it's very convenient to other top spots we like to visit and we usually pop by them all after our dinner (Grayson Park and Berens Custard). It's uniquely designed in a what I'll call Tex Mex modern. The interior is fun, colorful and adding in vibrant music makes it even more lovely and colorful. The place is always jamming when we dine. The service is fast, accurate and the food is superb- no wonder I go back! I've tried many dishes and I have no complaints. I even love the private, well kept bathroom. Looking forward to having a virgin cocktail at this eatery again soon!

Festive music, multi-floored (elevator included), outside seating, clean dining & restrooms, friendly service, authentic decor, comfortable chairs, the place is nice. Great food & attentive service. Only complaint I have is I asked for "extra crispy" chimichanga & got the traditional soft one. The place is weak on TVs unless you sit at the bar. Also, parking can be tricky. When you're done, walk over to Beren's for dessert. Enjoy!

Went to San Lucas for my boyfriend's birthday. He likes a restaurant with ambience and San Lucas delivers there. We were offered a table outside which was nice. We went upstairs afterward to check out the bar and wished we sat up there. For the food and drinks, we ordered house margaritas and calamari. The margaritas were STRONG. We asked for limes to balance them out a little. They were very good. I appreciate a margarita you feel before your food comes. The calamari was meh. It was tender just tasted kinda oily. I've had better. My boyfriend ordered the Texas rice with three proteins and I ordered the seafood enchiladas. Food came out shortly after the calamari. Mine was delicious! The red sauce on the enchiladas was rich and flavorful. Mostly small chunks of fish in the enchiladas and a few shrimp pieces. He was not impressed with his rice. The portion was small. Three small strips of steak and chicken each and a few shrimp. He said the steak was chewy. He finished the whole plate and no leftovers Overall service was efficient and drinks were strong. I enjoyed my food. I've heard portions can be on the smaller side but you're paying for the great ambience. We enjoyed it and likely will be back.

Thank you Walter ! The family loves the consistency, 10/10 ALWAYS recommend 3

I've been trying to locate some of Gwinnett's best Mexican spots and I decided to give San Lucas a try ! Came on a Tuesday night where the tacos range from 1.99-2.99(a weekly special) and $5 house margaritas. The food was delicious might I add and every staff member there was very attentive and pleasant. Last but not least the ambiance of this place is a very low key atmosphere, beautiful decor upstairs and downstairs in the restaurant!

Rubbery, overcooked Texas Fajitas.

Ordered takeout with Texas Fajitas (steak medium) and queso dip with fresh jalapeños. How can you forget to provide tortillas?!?! The steak was very well done and inedible. The queso was only mid. I would not recommend. Trashed the fajitas. Visit another Tex-Mex restaurant!

Breakfast Burrito - Huevos con chorizo

The Burrito itself was pretty nice and flavorful! The rice was just okay and the side of beans were okay. We came when it was nearly empty and all of our breakfast burritos took like 40 minutes to come out. Quite a long time to make eggs. The waiter was very nice and kind though. The environment and ambiance was really nice. Middle of the day for lunch and the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. Very large area with lots of natural light coming in.

Carne Asada was spot on, very good, jalapeños very fresh, the whole meal was awesome

Great atmosphere for brunch. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We highly recommend the breakfast burrito. It has chorizo and eggs and it is not spicy. The veggie omelette was delicious as well and was packed with spinach. We also tried the passion fruit spritzers. It made me feel like I was sitting on the beach.

Frida's has a great outdoor dining space just as inside. Today they have decorated for Cinco De Mayo. The inside has the signature colored banners with wallpaper of beautiful flowers and portraits of Frida Kahlo all over. Ms. Elvia was an awesome waitress. She made sure everything was perfect. She was very attentive all while attending her other tables. We had the Nachos Mexicanos and the Frida's Guacamole. And when I say those 2 dishes was very flavorful. We usually leave with a togo box. But today we ate every bit of it. The nachos filled the plate and was loaded down. The guacamole hit every tastebud. With this one visit we are certain we will be back to try other menu items.

I usually opt for carnitas in some form, but I just had carnitas burritos last night so decided to change it up! The pollo ranchero (wherever you find it on a menu) always seems like it's going to be too simple, but I seem to always really enjoy it. Tonight was no different. The thin slices of grilled chicken breast are usually overcooked, but it's forgiven due to the ranchero sauce and cheese that blanket them, providing needed moisture. The rice and beans are pretty good but definitely benefitted from ranchero sauce spillover and a little drizzle of salsa. Portion size was great. Frida's is pretty similar to a lot of mid-range Mexican spots (although I like the inclusion of fried plantains on the menu) but I've never how a disappointing experience, so giving it a 4!
