So yeah. We visited this new spot in Grayson because we were tired of driving out to Buford to our favorite Mexican restaurant. And I am so glad we tried them. EVERYTHING was great. We just tried a variety of things so we could get a feel for the flavor so to speak. Chicken fajitas, shrimp taco, chicken empanadas, and a beef hard shell taco. I had to stop myself from over eating. The chicken empanadas are one of the best I have had and it comes with a sweet sauce that goes well. The fajitas were flavorful and the shrimp taco was seasoned well. The beef taco was juicy and flavorful as well. We were worried about the rice from the pictures we saw but I loved the lightness of it and they were not stingy on the veggies as some places can be. I say go for it. We ordered some chips and queso to-go. When I was picking it up I asked if it was over charged, I paid $16 when the menu said queso was 8. One server agreed chips are free with the queso ( how do you eat it without chips) and the others said they didn't know how to enter it in the system without charging. Way to expensive for queso and quite disorganized. They did not refund the overcharge. read more

Place was not busy for a late Sunday dinner with the family and friends. Wife had the San Lucas bowl was nice and filling, I had the carne asada which was also good. The only bad thing about the food was the charro beans which were more like half dry refried beans. Our server was Vale who was awesome, very friendly and quick! The only downside was on the bar side, bartender seemed to be having a attitude maybe not having a good day our drinks were coming out so slow that we had to cancel our last round, to top it off we asked for the game to be put on one of the TVs and just our luck the bartender said it was the only TV that wasn't "working" who knows maybe batteries were out on remote. Hopefully next time our bartender and TV can make the experience a five star! read more

The food is good but the service is terrible. We have literally stood at the door while someone who works there sat at a table and never looked up. After waiting for 5-8 minutes we walked out. That being said we tried it again and we got seated but the service person was too busy doing other things at a table with others who work there doing something and not taking our order. Poor service will cause this place to close. read more

Best Mexican Restaurant in the Loganville/ Grayson area! The Carne Asada isn't like any Carne Asadas I've had in local restaurants. The cut of meat is perfect, the rice and beans are delicious, and the crown jewel of my meal was "La Chingona" margarita! It reminded me of my childhood when my family would get together at the park for a Carne Asada and my auntie would cut cucumbers and mix them with lime and Tajin. After eating all the cucumbers, you slurp down the left over lime juice and tajin, yeah that's what La Chingona tastes like and I'm in love! I haven't gone back, not because the food or environment was bad, but because I'm reserving this place for great occasions and when I want to take family out for something really special! Today was a mixed bag. My wife ordered the steak salad. The steak was perfectly cooked but she said the rest of the salad lacked a flavor profile. It was like eating a good steak on a bland bed of greens. I ordered a shrimp burrito that came with rice and charro beans. The shrimp was perfectly grilled. They were moist and tender. But the burrito tasted like good shrimp in a tortilla. The cheese sauce lacked any noticeable flavor. The rice and charros were good but not enough to make me want to come back for another meal. Great new spot in Grayson's hidden square. The aesthetic was right along with the new age Mexican restaurants that are popping up. We tried the chicken verde burrito and the carne Asada burrito. They were both very good except the chicken was a little drier than I would have preferred and the carne asada errored on the oily side. Still enjoyed both. WOW!! First time visiting San Lucas, cool vibe inside. Decorated uniquely. Waitress was SUPER!! Guided us to make good selections. Carna Asada was best I've had. I called earlier in the day to see if they take reservations. Since it's Cinco De Mayo they said they don't today. Understandable. So I called when my family and I were ready for dinner to see what the wait time was. If it wasn't long, we were going to go. If it was, we were going to find somewhere else to go or order in. I called and asked what the wait time was for a party of 5. Their response verbatim was "There's no wait". I was shocked but we immediately got in the car and headed there. We arrived 15-20 mins later to find a TON of people outside and a 2.5 hour wait. Now. There is NO WAY that many people got there at that exact same time to cause a wait that long. As proof, the person right in front of my husband said they told her the same exact thing when she called! Also, a man coming from upstairs with his daughter said he had been waiting for an hour as the team there quoted that as their wait time. But when he asked how much longer, they informed him another 25- 30mins. He left. So, all that to say THEY LIED! To multiple people! I was dumbfounded. I brought my entire family (including a cranky 3 yr old at the time) because they lied to me and said there was no wait. This would have been our first time eating at this establishment.
