Employees are really incredibly friendly. Food is really good. It's a bit pricey for sure.

Absolutely the best Tex Mex food I have ever eaten. I had the grilled flank steak with chimichurri sauce, rice, black beans, and deep fried plantains. I was truly astounded at the flavor and tenderness of the steak. The rice and beans were delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the plantains were perfectly crisp on the outside and buttery and sweet on the inside. All four of us raved at how good our dishes were. It was the first time there for all of us. The margaritas were excellent as well. Strong enough, but not too strong, with a variety of delicious blends. Table side guacamole very good too. And, even though it was a Friday night, the dishes arrived very quickly, and the wait staff was very responsive and polite. Only complaint is that the live music upstairs was way too loud downstairs, but the music was good and authentic. read more

It seems they've poured a lot of money into the ambiance, but not enough attention has been paid toward the food, drinks and wait staff. While it's still brand new, and I'm sure they're working out kinks.. the food was sub-par (particularly when you consider there's at least 4 other Mexican restaurants within 5-10 minutes), the cost was considerably higher than others in the area, and the service was SLOW. I think the location will definitely be of some assistance for them, but they have a lot of improving to do, not to mention opening up the rooftop patio, which will be their most intriguing amenity! read more

First time in, will be last. Very cute, boutique type Tex Amex restaurant. Very clean. Was not given chips and salsa upon arrival, had to ask for them after drinks had been brought and order was taken. Chips and salsa arrived after our food did. Did not get to ask for for extra napkins until we were all done eating bc server no where to be found. Waited and waited for check, finally went around to find our server chilling in a booth with another server, asked for check, she rolled her eyes. Sad bc food was pretty good but on the pricey side so if I am going to pay that, I would like exceptional service with a smile, NOT an eye roll. read more

I ordered bean nachos. I got a plate of chips with beans. No lettuce, no tomatoes, no cheese. Chips and beans is not nachos. The margaritas were not good. They were weak and pretty tasteless. Service and atmosphere were good. Shame the drinks and food were not. I won't be back. read more

San Lucas catered my brother-in-law's rehearsal dinner this past Friday. My mother-in-law has talked non-stop about how friendly and flexible the restaurant was. The food was delicious, and they drove from Grayson to Midtown Atlanta in rush hour traffic to deliver it. They were prompt, and the food was hot--despite traffic challenges that made most of the guests late. They accommodated all dietary restrictions, had a clean and stylish set-up, and, again, very tasty Tex Mex. read more

Tried the new restaurant this evening, not too impressed for a supposedly up scale restaurant. Food was good but not outstanding. A bit too expensive. Server was less than helpful ( menu was incomplete. Items listed on lunch menu were not on dinner menu; when we asked about availability of item missing from dinner menu, server said it was available but did not know the price and did not offer to get it). Last point the margarita tasted more like lemonade than a margarita. Will probably go back eventually but not for awhile. read more

Love this place, food is always great! Yeah prices may be a tad high but definitely worth it. This is one of our "go-to" places, and get take out frequently. You may be wondering why only 4 stars tho...as much as this pains me, I must be fair. I think a restaurant should get your to-go order correct ATLEAST 8 out of 10 times, a solid B grade. However, we often are missing something from our order, something's wrong with the order or one time we even had added food. Even when I check it, and it's on the receipt, I usually miss something until I get home and someone tells me. It can be quite frustrating. But as long as you get your order right (I recommend checking it carefully) you will definitely enjoy it! read more

Went there for lunch during the week. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Nice decor and music. They bring chips and salsa to the table when u get there and it's soooo good. I ordered the fish tacos with Charo beans. The beans and rice amazing. The tacos had very good flavor however the fish was a tad bit burnt and they could have put a bigger Piece of fish in tacos. But the cabbage was crisp and fresh. Service was good but it wasn't very busy when I went. Portion sizes was decent but this is Grayson "upscale" so its more expensive than the typical Mexican spot. Ooh and the drinks are STRONG !! Try the passionfruit one. It's soo good. Overall will definitely be going back. read more

Wow ,The most expensive Mexican food I've ever paid for ! Wow , the worse Mexican food I've ever had ! This restaurant is probably one of the worst experience's I've ever had eating out ! They actually asked us not to come back after we asked them to bring us food that was warm , my wife's food was brought out 10 minutes after mine was first brought out ! What a joke ! Beware!!!!!! This is the real deal folks! I had the steak burrito. The steak was so tender you could pull it apart with your fingers. Extremely tasty as well. You know how in most tex-mex restaurants, the beans and rice are an afterthought? Not here... the rice tasted like it was made especially for me, not like it was scraped out of the bottom of a pot. You get 3 choices of beans. The pinto beans were fantastic! Not sure how they did that. They had a sign up asking for patience since they were shirt staffed, but service was very quick and efficient. First visit, but definitely won't be the last!!!! Seated promptly, waitress came to our table with chips and Delicious salsa promptly. Ordered margaritas, the blackberry one was great! We got Texas Fajitas and the waitress recommended their beans that were pintos with pork in them...yum!!!! So tasty!!! Everything was great! This was my first and last time ordering from San Lucas in loganville Ga. I ordered pollo san Lucas ,Texas, (chicken, shrimp & steak) Litzy M took my order over the phone. When I got my order home it was just chicken. The menu said Texas San Lucas was $16.95, chicken was $13.95. I called spoke to the rude manager who said the San Lucas only come in chicken. I would think Litzy M should have told me that. The chicken was tough and had no flavor. The manager was dismissive and didn't care about my concern. read more

I will say the food was good, my plantains were a little over cooked, but my husband's own was perfect. My steak was thin and small for the price. The drinks were good and the server. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I went to San Lucas with my sister on May 6, 2022. And when we get there and We have not seen a waitress to take our order after 30 minutes of being there. We had to ask one of the host can they find out who our waitress was. She came and to take our appetizer and drink order, no apologies for not approaching us early . She brings back chips and salsa. And the chips had a piece of hair in it. I ask can she take it back for a new batch and she seem annoyed that she had to do it. She brought me back a coke which was flat. We ordered fish ceviche a cold dish as an appetizer which you can whip up in 5 mins and it took another 30-40 mins to get it and remind you during this whole time we still haven't see our waitress. One of the cooks in the restaurant brought out the ceviche. And wow it was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. It was drenched in lime juice that over powered the flavor of the fish that made it inedible. We had 2 bites each and we were done.I can't believe people give this place 4-5 stars. The service and food is so disgusting. We immediately asked to pay and leave to another waitress.I wish my sister didn't pay for that admonition they call ceviche and my flat coke and we paid nothing. She had water only. This restaurant really kicks it into gear. As soon as you walk in, the decor just really invites you in further. Its gorgeous and brings such a good vibe. I've now been 5 times just in the last 2 weeks and every waitress/server we've had has been incredibly friendly, helpful, fun and so very kind. We love Delia and Ping and Wendy and every one of the young men that has brought our food out has been equally friendly and helpful. Even though they are short staffed and working extra hours we've never once felt unattended to. Drinks always full. Food quick and absolutely mouthwatering, delicious choices. Let me tell you, it is SO nice to have healthy options but to see that they stay true to some of the Southern tastes for those that want them. Between my family, friends and me we've tried all the street tacos (baja is my fav), Enchiladas, Burritos, Quesadillas, San Lucas Cheese dip. They have homemade tortillas (so yummy) both corn and flour. Their charro beans...phenomenal. Even something as simple as their refried beans are clearly homemade and in my opinion when you get the small things right you know the main courses are going to be really special. And that's what I would end with. San Lucas is new and fresh with an extraordinary vibe...it is something special in our area! read more
