Was looking for something different for lunch and came across the listing for San Pedro's. I had never tried Honduran food so I popped in to give it a shot. Very glad I did. The place is in a small strip mall and wasn't very hard to find. It's not a huge place but there's plenty of seating. Very clean, friendly staff. I went with the water's recommendation of the Pollo con Tajadas, which was a fried chicken over plantains with some cabbage similar to coleslaw. Food was delicious and the total with a drink was about 8 bucks. Will definitely be back to check out the rest of their menu. read more

So this was my first time trying Honduran food and I have to say it was a great experience! The server, Renato was super friendly and helped me navigate the menu. I ordered the Carne Asada, the baleada San Pedro, and the cashew fruit drink (learned what a cashew plant looks like - didn't know cashews come from a fruit!). It was all delicious, fresh tasting. The rice was flavorful and not dry, beef was tender, cabbage and picked vegetables were a great compliment to the meal and the fresh tortillas were delicious. I had seen the reviews and decided to go for the red snapper. That was a great decision. It was cooked perfectly. The light crust was golden brown and sprinkled with onion, green peppers and tomatoes [finely chopped]. I was pleased to find the fish fresh and delicious. My husband had the carne asada and was happy with his meal but happiest to share mine. We both liked the beans and fried bananas. We were there Monday [Oct 22] at lunch and the place quickly filled. Where to begin? Well as you walk in you're going to be greeted by some of the kindest people! Honestly such great hospitality. Tried this place for lunch and ordered a Baleada con chorizo, my boyfriend ordered a Baleada con Carne Asada and both were phenomenal. Also try their Café con Leche, it's on another level of warmth and happiness. They had such "homey" food (which I love) and that's why I keep going back. When you enter you're immediately greeted in a friendly manner and get attended very quickly. This place is nice, clean and well decorated. It's spacious in between tables and bathroom is clean. It seems they have a bar. I enjoyed the variety of music playing overhead, it was loud enough and i could still talk with my party. The food is great and tastes fresh. I had platanos fritos, con frijoles, queso y mantequilla with a Café con leche. Normally i don't like café con leche, but this one i enjoyed. My family had Pollo frito con tajadas, of course i tasted their food, that's what we do. Definitely will have that next time. Great Authentic Honduran food. My husband and I have been here multiple times and everything we've order is always good. From the tajadas to the taquitos to the enchiladas(not the same as Mexican enchiladas) everything is homemade and just amazing. Okay, I was really impressed with the food here at San Pedro's. This is a very hole in the wall Honduras/Central American food restaurant that's located very close to Lovefield. I went on a Friday for "brunch" with friends that turned into lunch. They do serve breakfast all day, but I decided to go with their lunch platter of carne asadas and got it with the bed of plantains instead of the tortilla. And wow, for $12.99 this plate is huge and absolutely delicious! The steak is so well seasoned and tender, and the plantains are soft with a little crisp and not overwhelmingly sweet (they're actually not sweet at all). The rice was delicious as well, and just everything about the meal was so enjoyable. If you check in on yelp you get a free tortilla like dish that is a tortilla with beans and sour cream inside (like a quesadilla), and though it looks simple, it packs a lot of flavor. Their tortillas are clearly homemade and absolutely excellent. In general, this is a really great deal in value and food quality! read more

This has to be the best Honduran place my husband and I have visited. When we're in the area we always stop by to have Baleadas, pollo con tajadas and coffee! We recently took a trip to Miami and for the fun of it went on a Baleada and Pollo con Tajadas expedition to find the best one lol and nope! NOTHING compared to the dishes and coffee here! The staff is super friendly and make you feel like you are at home. If you are indecisive like me, not to worry. The staff always gives great recommendations and I have not been disappointed yet.
