This is a cute little pizza restaurant that I believe is Italian owned. The shop itself is small but gives off a cozy vibe. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Be advised that this place is very busy, it was completely packed when we arrived. Since it's so small, the place gets packed easily and the wait times can get very long. I advise that you come in knowing that you may have to wait a bit or order to go. The food is definitely worth the wait. They have by far the best pizza that I have ever had in my life. Their slices are so thin and crispy. I had the margarita and cabrese pizza. Both are different but insanely tasty. If you want to get as close as to eating authentic pizza from Italy, this is the shop to visit. The pizzas are cooked to perfection and the are seasoned just right. This cute spot is small so perfect for a date or small groups. We enjoyed 3 different pies and a pasta dish. The marinara was excellent! There aren't a lot of "standard" pizzas but these are more expert pairings. My pizza was a bit soggy in the center but the flavor was excellent. I would return to try more from the menu. read more

The Owner Alessandro e Monica, Italians, are Great person and they were hosting the costumers and making food like they had 10 hands. But the Food, the best part. Nice ambient pricey Italian restaurant, where they charge you what they think they should get as a tip for service. My husband and I have visited the town one bright Sunday day, and were craving Italian food. We spotted this nice restaurant because they have an outside seating, which is awesome when the weather is nice. Most of the menu items have pork in them, which isn't great for vegetarians. We asked to adjust Bruschetta Tartufo to be meatless. The meal tasted great without pork, but the item was just removed, not replaced. Needless to say, we've been charged the full price. Cannelloni Ricotta e Spinaci tasted good too. The cheese was fluffy inside the rolled pasta. There was very little salad on the side. The dessert was a home made Tiramisu cake, which tasted quite good. It wasn't a familiar taste because it was home made, nevertheless it was a good dessert. The problem was the service, which was snobbish at the beginning, ok in the middle, and we had a white hair on the dessert plate. I gave less than 15% tip, about 10%, but my card was charged the full 15% for the service. It is quite disappointing. I think it is a nice Italian restaurant overall, but we won't be back. read more

We had high hopes, expecting great, but getting merely "meh". The pizza for example was unexceptional and slightly undercooked, pizza hackr in TJ has been significantly better every time. Granted Sandrino's menu is more extensive. This might be ok if the prices were low and ambience great, but the prices are at the higher end for what we got. The outdoor seating on Caledonia that was initiated during the pandemic is similarly ok, but not great. read more

Stopped by Sardrino after a trip to Angel Island and what a nice surprise! Sandrino is a small, but wonderful truly Italian feeling place that makes fresh and awesome pizza. Family run by husband and wife from northern Italy who care about good food and a clean and modern setting. We had 3 Pizzas Bufalino, Trenton, Sausalito and a great bottle of wine. The pizzas were all fresh and excellent with thin crust. I highly recommend Sandrinos if you like good food great hosts and don't mind paying for a premium pizza. It's worth it. We were staying in the bay area for a week exploring the city. We had eaten really well throughout the days but we hadn't had any Italian and we were coming to the end of the trip. On the last day we decided to explore the town of Sausalito right across the Gold Gate Bridge and stumbled upon Sandrino for dinner. The restaurant is "cozy" to say the least. There's just a handful of tables but the place it inviting and has a open view to the kitchen. The benefit to the small dining area is the customer service. From the waiter to the owner, they were very engaging throughout our meal. They were also so kind and playful with our boisterious infant. Our child was being fussy but lightened up everytime the staff came around. Food: Honestly one of the best pizzas I've experienced. The Calabrese had a great combination of savory and spice! The toppings are fresh and flavorful but do not overpower the crust of the pizza. The lady enjoyed a unique semonlina gnocchi in an amazing brown butter sauce. Somehow after our meal we happen to squeeze a piece of house-made Tiramisu which we consumed with much joy. To me Sandrino provide our family with the best meal during our 5 day vacation to the Bay! So during your photo ops at the Gold Gate Bridge, take the fun short journey to Sausalito and eat here. I can't recommend it enough! read more

A tiny Neapolitan pizza shop a block off the main drag in Sausalito just a couple doors down from the police station. We were looking for a late lunch and found this place on Yelp. It's a really small place with only a few tables but we lucked out and got seated right away. The menu reads like something directly out of Italy with all the usual Italian classics of thin Neapolitan pies. Ours had buffalo mozzarella with fresh tomatoes and basil and came out hot, crisp and delicious. We started with a Cesar salad which was also tasty despite being a bit heavy on the dressing. Their house made focaccia and Sicilian olive oil was nice as well. We each had a glass of the house Chianti (disappointing, especially at $11/glass). All in all this was a nice lunch, perfect amount of food for the two of us but at $66 a little bit on the pricey side. read more

I love anchovy pizza and I can only get it at the best Italian establishments, this place did not disappoint, definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. My husband and I ordered a bottle of red, a pepperoni, and an anchovy pizza. The service was nice and friendly and they had outdoor seating. This is my favorite restaurant and today I had my favorite meal yet there. The place is owned by a couple coming from around Tyrol and they speak German with me which gives it a very homey, local feel which I love. The restaurant is small so you might have to wait but the interior, ambience, and food are well worth the wait. My friend and I ordered two specials for our meal: the spinach gnocchi and the special pizza of the day, a sauceless pizza covered in hand sliced mozzarella, cooked Italian ham, truffle butter, chives, and cracked black pepper. It was absolutely stunning. I was silent until the food was gone--it deserved my full attention and more. The flavors worked beautifully well together, and the mouthfeel of the mozzarella pieces thrown on right at the end of cooking made the pizza super pleasing to eat. The spinach gnocchi were also really good, although not quite as good as my mom's. Overall I had the perfect night at Sandrino. I left completely satisfied and I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who can make it there. read more

We sat outside with our puppy and enjoyed the amazing service and weather. We initially wanted some fresh salad but the pizzas looked so amazing that we ended up ordering a Caprese salad and a burratina pizza (+ corn and olives) to share. Both were perfect and so tasty (maybe just a tiny bit too much salt). We absolutely loved all of it!
