Im going to go with the 5 star here. I was more than surprised on how good the sandwiches were. This may become a 4-star after the "better than i thought" factor wears off. i got 2 sandwiches : a korean bbq beef (seoul) and a smoked turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich...both were excellent. Parking is kind of tight, and the prices are on par with the premium subway sandwich costs, but the taste, quality, and satisfaction blows most other sandwiches away. They use french baguettes, and it was crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The sandwiches were filled very densely. the wife called it "a man's sandwich". There is a ton of variety (about 25 varieties), and everyone there looked as if they were all loving it. I am looking forward to going back and trying more of their sandiwiches. read more

Free wifi! This could be my office-away-from-office. I had about a half hour for lunch and I wound up here. Having eaten at this complex before, I recognized the name from its wifi network. I didn't have much time to decide, so I quickly ordered #15 (190th). When a table outside cleared up, I went out to wait. After about fifteen minutes, the counterman waved to me and I got my sandwich. The menu clearly defines the ingredients, so I wasn't surprised, but I couldn't help thinking that combining the American and provolone together was a bit odd. Why not 86 the ranch dressing and replace it all with bleu cheese? The buffalo sauce was good: tangy and not too hot. The chicken was just the right amount of crispy. Overall, it was pretty satisfying and not too much of a gut bomb. Being a Philly boy, I greatly prefer the Amoroso-type hoagie roll to the standard sub roll that we usually get in these parts, but it did the job. Now, why did I tip? I had to go up to get my sandwich, and I had to bus my table, too. Oh, right: because I've worked in the food and beverage industry. Why does it seem, though, that when I feed the tip jar, my food doesn't get to me any faster? Rating: 42/100 pts I decided to stray from the several sandwich shops I frequent and give Sandwich Blvd a try, as it's a convenient stop on the way to my office. Unfortunately, I was largely unimpressed. The menu takes some time to traverse, as most of the sandwich names (named after streets in the Torrance area) give little hint as to their contents; however, after a brief perusal I decided to go with the Italian-themed Sepulveda Sandwich, which seemed a nice change of pace as I'm usually eating Asian food in Torrance. The good thing is that the meat cuts are grilled to order, and that the bread is decently fresh; however, these points do little to outshine the bad. The contents of the sandwich were underwhelming: meat cuts were thin and few, and lettuce was cheap and scant. The sandwich itself was not very filling. At nearly $9, I expected a lot more. Stopped by to check this place out. Located in a business area off western ave. Ambiance - casual with a modern touch to decor. It's extremely clean which is nice. They have little kids games to play and two tvs. Service - was good. We came during a slower time but didn't take long to get our sandwiches out. Everyone was very friendly. Food - Let me put it out there first that i am not a big sandwich, pizza, burgers or bread girl. So with that said, I ordered the "Torrance". This is a toasted hot sandwich filled with strips of teriyaki beef, onions, cheese and spicy mayo. To my surprise it was very good! The flavors explode in your mouth and the crispy toasted bread was a great touch. My buddy got the "Carson" and he enjoyed it much. He said this is good! So I'll take his word for it. 3.5 stars. Good sandwiches at a great price. Unfortunately I've been spoiled with the likes of Ike's in SF, which holds a high caliber in comparison. Atmosphere: It's really cute inside! I love all the street signs and the modern/funky decor. There are a few tables inside. Food: Pretty large sandwiches for anywhere between 5-7 dollars. My sister ordered the Seoul, and I ordered the Western. The Western was good, but it wasn't as satisfying as the menu/ingredients hyped it up to be. The Seoul was really tasty though, and it has a bit of a spicy kick to it. We shared the sweet potato fries as well, which were good, but kind of soggy for another reason I'm about to explain. Service: This is where the docked stars come from. We had just gotten there before the lunch rush, and for some reason they gave us one sandwich in a good amount of time, but they messed up the other sandwich and fries and put it as a "to-go" order, so it just sat on the counter and got cold. Waayyy overrated and over priced. The price is not worth the quantity. Food was just ok. I got their version of a cheese steak and it was kind of bland. I attempted to get fries but took it back because I felt ripped off after seeing how much came in the box. There's other places that's way better. After checking out all the reviews on Yelp, it looked like the Seoul Blvd is the sandwich to get. When I asked for a cup of ice for my Pepsi, the girl at the counter told me that they don't have ice. They have an ice maker, but no ice. Nice on a warm summer day! On top of that, they didn't have the A/C on either. It was miserable eating inside on this warm summer day. I felt like I needed to take a shower after I ate! Anyway, on to the sandwich. The Seoul Blvd is Korean style BBQ Beef, Roasted Red & Green Pepper, Mushroom, Provolone Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Spicy Mayo served on a freshly baked french roll. This sandwich was delicious. Nicely seasoned, and the bread had a nice crunch to it from the crusty outside. This is definitely the sandwich to order. The french fries were nothing to write home about. Standard thin french fries. Had better, had worse. The Seoul Blvd sandwich gets a solid 4 star rating. I need to deduct a star for having no ice and no A/C on a warm summer day. A friend of mine who has been here a few times told me that when she's been here, they didn't have ice either at those times. The person seemed anxious to close which is understandable for the weekend. We ordered a Carson and a Crenshaw with sprouts and were charged for them but when we got Home with the sandwiches we realized that there was no sprouts on them. It was a bummer especially having to pay extra for them. I wanted to direct message this person instead of a review on Yelp but their website didn't offer the contact us option. It's cool sandwich place with wifi, TV, and games (Connect Four, Jenga, Mini Air Hockey Table). I also like the French Rolls they used here. Reminds me of Vietnamese Sandwiches(Banh Mi). The rolls are nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The sandwich can be a little pricey for some people, ranging from $7.25-$8.25. I tired the Lomita which is a Pastrami. I thought the Pastrami was a little salty and there was a little too much dressing. Other than that, there's nothing fancy about this. I've had better Pastrami sandwiches. Another sandwich I tried was the Del Amo, white albacore tuna. I like this one! It wasn't drenched in mayo. The pepperoncinis gave it a nice tarty kick to it. Came by here a few times so I'm going to rate Sandwich Blvd based on my overall experience. Cons: Recently came by for lunch (usually come around 12-2pm) and there's almost no seats. Great, great restaurant but the seating sucks. Find a cool way to incorporate more seating. Also, I notice portion size is down compared to my previous visits. Maybe because it was the first time I got a wrap, but I still was kind of hungry(big kid). Pro: Besides my rant on seating and portion size, Sandwich Blvd has great food. Fries are great, and every sandwich I've ordered tasted better than it sounded. Close your eyes, point at the menu and get that sandwich. I have to say I thought it was pretty good. Got the bulgogi (Korean bbq) sandwich which was tasty. My son enjoyed his eggplant sandwich. The wife got one of the wraps and seemed pleased with her selection. The portions were decent, not HUGE but not a rip off by any means. The super nachos though...Meh! Way too much for the sorry nachos they serve. Plus the guy who packed the order stood the foam container w/the nachos up on its side. What kind of dumbass does that to food covered with salsa & chili? That was the only bad part of my first visit to S.B. I'll probably stop in again if I'm in the area and try a different sandwich but I'm staying away from the nachos and won't let the same guy bag my order. Holy crap .. where do I even begin... I got the Torrance with cheese and red pepper added and omg I finished every last piece of it!! (Kinda wish I didn't cause I couldn't finish my tater tots which was amazing as well) the cheese on the tots was top notch! Usually when I get cheese on anything it hardens and gets really gross but it was so creamy here and so enjoyable!! If you love cheese as much as I do GET IT ON EVERYTHING YOURE ORDERING!!!!! Everything about the sandwich was great, from the meat right down to the bread. EVERYTHING! I also got a FREE DRINK here because I decided to get a car wash at Juni in the same plaza!! As in for the interior it really caught my eye! Very hipster/modern and CLEAN which is a big plus for me. And I love all the board games they have !! We tried: Torrance (spicy mayo was good) 190th (not a fan of chicken tenders) Lomita (decent pastrami) Chili Cheese Fries (tasted like jack in the box chili cheese fries. pretty tasty) Sweet Potato Fries (nothing special but not bad) All of the sandwiches could use some more meat. The bread to meat ratio was way off. I can see how nearby office workers would come for lunch during the week. The food is really light (in a good way) (maybe cuz there is so little meat). And it is better than going to a chain like Subway. But on the weekend I would have a tough time driving out of my way to grab lunch here.
