Hands down some of the best sandwiches I've ever had!! We come here every time we visit miami and we miss it so much when we leave. The Cuban, the Bistek and the shredded pork all make my mouth water thinking about them. Flavorful meats, and sauces round out the sandwiches and they are HUGE. Easily two meal per sandwich! I was really sad to learn they didn't have any of their hot sauce today. It could have been a language barrier between me and the cashier but she said they didn't have it anymore. My girlfriend and I were driving through Miami from Key West and wanted to have the BEST CUBAN Sandwich that Miami was known for. A google and yelp search later, we came upon that this place was voted for the best cuban sandwich. We ordered ahead because we had to eat on the go since we had our fur children with us. You will have a wait. Even with ordering ahead, you still have to wait in the same line that everyone else is in. Keep in mind, this has been voted the best, so with that, social distancing and lunch time (even late lunch), you will be waiting 15-30MINS. Also, the parking lot is terrible. It's a very small lot, with other shoppes that have specific parking for those shops. People cannot park either, so there may be an open spot, but because of terrible parking, you may not even be able to get out of your vehicle. After retrieving our cubans and an order of pork rinds, off we go to allow someone else to park and pick up food. I have had Cubans from all different type of restaurants, all over the nation. So with Miami being known for this, I was setting the bar high. I dug into the porkrinds first. They were good. Big chunks of pretty decently flavored rinds. They get soft fast, so if you take them home, airfry them back to their crunch. The flavor itself had a bite to it, but it was a good kind of bite as i was wanting to continue to eat them, even when they were soft and cold the next day lol. The main event...the Cuban. First bite impression. Crunchy, good, different but doesn't stand out. I hate to say it, but I have had a better Cuban sandwich in Orlando. BUT, let me tell you this, they are BETTER later on in the day or the next day after being toasted again. I heard from numerous sources that this is the place to get a "REAL" Cuban sandwich. We went there late on Saturday afternoon 45 minutes before they closed at 6 pm and saw a window and a door. The line for eating inside was longer than the pickup counter line, so we decided to get the sandwiches to go. We started talking to some of the people waiting for their sandwiches and learned that they were not taking orders at the window and that we needed a special app to order. Some of the people waiting for their food were waiting for almost an hour. It seemed like the employees, friends, or locals were getting served, and the "tourists" were waiting and waiting and waiting...... The whole mess was completely unorganized. No signs or guidance from anyone. The worst part was that the employees ignored any questions and only talked in Spanish to the people you could tell they knew. We tried to order with the app, but it seemed like the site was shut off 30 minutes before closing without notice. We decided to go somewhere else because we were so disgusted by the way everyone except locals were treated. This place is located in a dirty trash filled strip mall. The employees acted like they were giving away steak and lobster instead of a high-priced glorified ham sandwich. When we left, the people we met when we arrived were still trying to get an employees attention to get a refund so they could go somewhere else. There are a few delicious alternatives down the street in a better part of Little Havana. My family and I ate here while visiting in Miami. We ordered for pickup, based off reviews, to avoid the long line. I recommend going early because there is limited parking. Great lunch spot located in little Havana. Had heard so many things about this place I had to come. Got here on a rainy afternoon. There is an ok amount of parking. It has its own lot which is good especially since you have to pay for street parking. The lot gets full fast but I got there when the lot was pretty empty. Walked in to the place and it was empty. I noticed it was set up like a cafe. On yelp it says it's good for kids. Older kids yes. I brought my 1 Year old and although he luckily behaved this place isn't made for him. I don't fault the restaurant though. It is what it is and I made it work. Sat at the bar and was quickly taken care of by an older lady whom I think has to be an owner or manager. I wasn't ready year so I looked over the menu. Selection was small. I didn't have many options but I had heard all the ingredients here are fresh. So I was hopeful. Some Californians will talk about this Cuban bakery in LA called Porto's, famous for their pastries and Pan con Lechon sandwich. The Pan Con Lechon at Sanguich is so much better, and it's not even close. Minus 2 stars because the seating arrangements are tight and not optimal for parties larger than 2. Plus 2 stars because the food is that good and service is spectacular, especially from Stephany. It's great to be recognized as a regular, when you are in fact, a regular. Tonight on Tuesday January 12th 2021 I was watching Marcus Lemonis Streets of Dreams and this restaurant was part of the Miami episode. I remember Rosa mentioning that Marcus Lemonis had been there interviewing her & her husband earlier in 2020 before the whole covid-19 pandemic. She didn't know when it was going to air on tv. I ate here about a dozen times throughout June & July 2020 without exaggeration. It was here during the height of the covid-19 pandemic when it started spiking throughout the summer of 2020. Where have you been Sanguich de Miami? Hands down this has got to be the BEST Cuban sandwich I've ever had. The restaurant down the street that starts with "V" used to be my favorite for the previous 10 years. That was until I discovered this place by chance. I've had Cuban sandwiches up and down the east coast from Massachusetts down thru Key West. Now, my absolute favorite Cuban sandwich of all time is here at Sanguich de Miami. This place is leaps and bounds ahead of all of those veteran places that have been open for years. Here they have their main menu item, the sandwiches, and they have it down as close to perfect as perfection can be. Instead of having a huge menu like most restaurants and only having maybe some good items, this restaurant has a small menu and they have dialed in on constructing these phenomenal sandwiches. They are truly remarkable. A work of art. The flavor profiles of these sandwiches are insane. Almost obscene in a great way. The first time I are here I literally inhaled the classic Cuban sandwich. Each time I returned after my initial inhaling of the food I took my time. I ate & chewed each bite of it so slowly it was almost comical. I didn't want my times with the sandwiches to end each time I ate here and that's why I chewed so slow. It was almost magical. The flavors were just dancing around in my mouth, tantalizing my taste buds unlike any other time I've eaten a Cuban sandwich. It didn't even compare to any one I've had anywhere in the past. Not even close. They brush this lard over the top just before warming and pressing it and sometimes during it they might brush a little more on. The flavor is BANANAS!!!!!!! I met one of the owners, Rosa, during my first visit and spoke to her for a while. She was a delight and she is amazing. I caught her during a time when it was rather slow. This is an unusual thing for them not to be busy. I spoke with Rosa for a while and asked her about the place and the history. She was able to take me on a short tour of the restaurant and showed me some of the prepping of the sandwiches. Rosa told me that they marinate and cook their own pork & meat. They do their own pickles also among other items. I believe they may even bake their own bread or have it made special just for them. You could tell by talking to her how much passion she has for their place. She & her husband are the owners. I met hubby another day but he wasn't as talkative as she was. They make a great couple. They balance & complement each other. The restaurant is immaculate. Nice and bright also. Their service was on point. As quick as can be. Sometimes there's a delay during the height of the lunch rush. To be expected. But still well worth it. The taste of these sandwiches is almost indescribable. And yes, I've tried each one of them. Getting back to the flavor profiles in each of these sandwiches seems so complex yet they're so simple yet so unique in comparison to any other Cuban sandwich you have ever tried. Unless you've had them in Cuba. Your taste buds are absorbing & pulling in all of the succulent flavor with each & every bite while chewing. It's so ridiculous you can't even imagine until you've actuality eaten here. I can't wait until I get back down here. Flavor just pops all around in your mouth and dances all over your tongue. So delicious. Fresh quality ingredients are used and the sandwiches are made with love & passion. The workers there were also very nice and hospitable. They all know the true meaning of hospitality and it clearly shines through. Oh yeah, almost forgot their Cuban coffee is also fantastic. A fellow elite's fascinating review persuaded me to give them a try! The vast amount of people lined up outside at a unusual time of 3:25pm led me to believe that whatever we were to order was bound to be good! Trying to social distance from the crowds in our car, we tried calling the restaurant 4X where each call met a disconnected service line. We then tried to place our order online only to find their online ordering platform specifying that the restaurant was "closed" despite the lines of patrons waiting within our view. With no choice left, we joined the line of confused patrons who, like us, could not contact the restaurant's mobile or online service, and weren't even sure whether the line they were on was for "takeouts" or dining in. We waited in this unstructured and non-socially distanced line for 20 minutes. When we were next to he helped, the host did not acknowledge us for at least another 10 minutes because she was attending to her other six coworkers and sandwich preps needs? Despite the lack of structure and the unreachable online service, the host, when we finally had her attention to place our order, was attentive to our needs and very patient with us. She took down every detail of our order accurately and swiftly, texted us promptly to alert us when our order was ready (about 8 minutes), and even took control over her coworkers to ensure that everything -- food, drinks, extra sauces and napkins -- was in our to-go bags. Since there was no outdoor dining, we took our "Mammey Shakes", "Elena Ruthless Sandwich", "Medianoche Sandwich", and "croquetas" to a park for a picnic. Food: 1. Croquettas - each order contains two of these fried finger foods of deliciousness! Crispy, greasy, hefty, and a flavorful bomb with or without the sauce! Trust us, you're gonna want more after gobbling up the first like we did! Good thing we ordered six (hehe)! 2. Elana Ruthless - This secret menu item was created in respects to a Cuban socialite who wanted to try something a little out of the ordinary. Medianoche sandwich - from the speed of which my boyfriend swallowed this sandwich, the fact that he didn't share, and the satisfied smirk on his face, I think it's safe to say this classic sandwich was a hit as well! 4. Mammey shakes - we ordered one with and one w/o whipped cream. I had the whipped cream version and one struggled sip of the puréed exotic fruit and milk combo told me it was definitely an "all natural" treat! I'd never had Mammey before so I didn't know what to expect. It exuded a slightly sweet taste that overpowered the taste of the milk. I can't say what I'd compare it to, however; it was like nothing I've had before. It was yummy, but too confusing for me to determine if I liked it enough or not. We opted for dine in and everything was clean. We were entertained waiting for our food watching one of the workers preparing some meat from our table. This place is amazing! We went as a party of 4 on a Saturday at 2pm. Possibly the busiest time to go?? The place is very small with limited seating. Those were the only cons. Everything else was amazing!! Every single person working at the restaurant is super friendly and loves to interact with a smile on their face. Service is top notch! So impressed by the customer service! The owner made sure to come around to all of his guests to make sure every person was satisfied. Love that! Followed these guys for a while and finally made it to their restaurant today! It is in a small shopping center right off SW 8 st, they have parking and if not there is street parking all around. The "ventanita" is wide open and they are there ready to take any orders. When you walk in, the register is up front and you order and pay there, they give you a number and bring your food out once its ready. My experience was a little different, my friend and I were trying to play with time and beat the clock so we called and put in a takeout order.... then realized we had a little bit of time because of a flight delay, so we asked them to eat it there. Immediately the staff said sure and they unwrapped our food and served it as it would be served originally. We had ordered a milkshake to share and the woman went above and beyond by adding it back to blender with some ice and splitting it in 2 cups for us. She even added extra whip! Because .."you can never have enough whip!" :-D We were floored by their kindness. The milkshake was the "Coladita", it was amazing. Not overly sweet, and very coffee forward. We then shared some croquetas, plantain fries, and a pan con bistec. It was all very tasty. Their sauces were delish. The restaurant is decorated very simple with beautiful gold accents. There was even a line and it's a go window, which is always a good sign. The first time I got a pan con lechón which was probably the best pan con lechón I've ever had. The second time I got a pan con lechón and a pan con bistec. The pan con bistec was good, but not as good as the pan con lechón. I was never able to try this place when they were on a food truck, and I thank my lucky stars that they opened a location because I LOVE IT!!!!! The first thing you need to know is that this place is tiny. The second thing you need to know is that everything is so yummy that an actual line starts forming outside during lunch time, be sure to arrive right before, or at 12. You can also order ahead for pick up, if they're not to swamped. Onto the good stuff. And by good stuff, I mean the BEST PAN CON LECHON I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I have tried 4 separate times in the last 2 months & each time its been an issue. 3 times it was sold out when i tried to place an order. The fourth time, I called & was told they had it. "Hooray!", I thought!!! Not quite... was told by the (slightly rude) lady that answered that they no longer accept orders over the phone. Bizarre but I wasn't gonna argue. I rushed over & arrived about 7minutes later only to be told that they just sold their last one to the person ordering in front of me... I almost lost it. This place is worth the visit. Tried other Cuban sandwiches and even one at the F1 race from Havana's but this version at Sanguich takes the win. Start with the bread, which is super crispy on the outside but soft inside. Also, just the right amount of mustard, pickles and cheese that don't squirt out the sandwich. The cheese is melted perfectly to be stretchy but not too much. Oh and why not top it off with Cuban expresso brewed from Panther without the bitterness, even straight up with no sugar. Delicious food! We loved it. The vegetables and baguettes were so fresh. Very comfy, beach-y atmosphere and the staff was so friendly.

Sanguich is a small, hole in the wall, super fire sandwich shop! I love the Miami vibes inside the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Food comes out pretty quickly and everything was absolutely delicious. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely know where to stop for a quick bite. read more
