So i saw an advertisement on instagram and connected with them through there. Their service was spectacular because they reply within minutes and such helpful people. I was lucky enough to get same day service and all i had to do was put out two 13gallon bags of laundry and they picked it up in ramona around 7:30pm and the person who was helping me kept me in the loop the whole time while i was still doing errands. The next day at 7:30pm they delivered my perfectly folded laundry in a big purple bag to keep and use for future laundry services. My towels were fluffy again, my cat hair was almost completely gone and it was easy to just put the clothes away. This service was so helpful, couldn't say better things and recommended it more.

We had to figure out what to do with her luggage. I searched whether Santa Fe Depot had lockers, they do not, however something called Luggage Hero popped up. There are business in downtown that will keep your luggage locked up for a decent price. 4th Ave Laundry had a late pickup by 2 a.m., so she chose that. Check in was smooth, though they didn't ask for her reservation info, but gave her a ticket. After the concert in the was back to catch the train, we stopped by and there was no one to help us. There is a store next door that you can access without going back out to 4th Ave. One of the guys there came over and we retrieved her luggage. My friend got a "no show" notice from Luggage Hero as they said she didn't use the service. Had they checked her reservation info at check in, would have avoided this. She sent them a message, they reversed the charge and charged her the agreed upon price. In looking at the small print for Luggage Hero, they're supposed to wrap the luggage in plastic wrap while you check in, that way you could see if it was tampered with. My friend bought the insurance, cause you never know. But all was intact. I would recommend to others looking for a place to store luggage for a few hours, just read all the Luggage Hero small print to ensure the process goes smoothly.

Years ago, when I first moved to San Diego and needed someone to alter a new, very expensive jacket that I had just purchased, I took it to the wrong people and learned a very expensive lesson. My jacket had been absolutely ruined while the inexperienced tailor tried to alter it and, needless to say, I was always a little leery about taking anything to a tailor again. That was until I found Sante Tailoring. Now I can buy pants that are 5 times too long or even a dress that's way too big and have the peace of mind that comes from knowing a great tailor. I don't have to search for pants that are just my size or think twice about buying a piece of clothing that I love because I don't have anyone I can trust to alter it. Sante Tailoring is an independently owned and operated business that not only does excellent quality work but they are also some of the nicest people I've ever done business with. They're friendly and their prices are so reasonable it's hard to believe it's a modern day business. They have the same sense of pride that people used to take in their trade 50 years ago, their prices are well below many other tailors' these days, and they're located right around the corner from my place. Kinda disappointed got 2 pants and a shirt altered here. Not sure how you could mess up a simple hem. Tried on both pants. Even pull my pants up to make sure its not hem too short. Didn't rush my order. With all the great reviews she had i trusted her with my $150+ pants. Sigh this is the end result. The black pants was hemmed right. But my blue pants is like inch and half or 2 inches shorter. There goes one of my expensive jeans. My altered pants is now passed my ankles LOL. High watered. Cries*** read more

Maria is the best. She's very good at her job, very nice, and can get things back to me quickly if needed. I have had many shirts taken in with her, and pants adjusted. The best though was that she turned my black suit into a tux for my wedding! She then switched it back - saving me a lot of money from having to buy a new one. read more

Location is easy to find but street parking can be challenging. Upon arrival, you sign the sign-in sheet with name and number. I brought in a $110 pair of jeans needing alteration. I haven't worn baggy clothes since the 90s. But it's "in trend" again and didn't want the bottom of my pants dragging on the floor. They have a tiny corner they made into a "dressing" area and they did the measuring for me. It needed to be shortened but to keep the original bottoms in which they called "hem". Hem was vague and I had to communicate "original bottoms/hem" in the event someone re-reads "hem" incorrectly. She then puts on the receipt $15 which is regular alteration price and I had again to verify "this is for original bottoms" and she said yes and I had to re-correct her on her own pricing to $18 so there is no miscommunication of what service I need done and what I'm paying for. She couldn't log my service into the computer because it was down so she wrote me a paper order. A week later, I lost that paper order assumed they have a copy of that because I got the pink slip which is the carbon copy of the original. She didn't. They never logged my order in whenever their computer came back on. They didn't remember me. I had to explain what was altered, tried to show them I signed the log-in sheet with my name and number (seems useless, looks like they don't even archive that), and had to describe the pair of jeans. Luckily they found it but I think that was a bit disorderly. I checked the quality and it was great. Original bottoms aka hem was achieved! Will be back for more alterations on my baggy clothes. My first error was choosing this place from the beginning. The second, was trusting the owner with my maid of honor suit. The third, was paying him (more like being ripped off) for damaging my suit and falsely advertising his professional services. The intent of my review serves as a warning to folks hoping to get their clothing altered to their heart's delight and to shine a light onto the lack of professionalism, terrible service, and incompetent skills/experience of the owner, Edris. Please, stay away! To start off, save your money and find a different establishment/tailor to alter your clothing! This dude does NOT know what he's doing, especially for the exorbitant amount he charges! I suspect he may be scamming folks. You should consider contributing your money towards a business that deserves it, staff you can trust, and for peace of mind knowing that your clothing won't be destroyed. When I initially called Edris, he had told me via phone that he would be able to alter my suit within 48 hours. Since the wedding I was attending was just a week away and I was in a time crunch, I committed too preemptively. I was initially relieved that I had found a tailor that could alter my suit in such a short time. Boy oh boy, I hadn't a clue the heartbreak and disappointment I'd experience in just a few days. Four days later (outside of the 48 hour window I was initially told), I arrived to B Street Cleaners with my suit, excited to have it altered to my heart's delight. The fitting seemed lackluster. Edris didn't really seem to care about fitting my suit in a way that aligned with my body. He stuck some pins in a few places and would say "that's good" To which I'd respond, "no" and give him direction on what I wanted. I had specifically asked that my suit be tailored to form-fit my body, as it was visibly too baggy/large on me. He didn't take any measurements and didn't alter the suit in a way that fit my body. He seemed to do the bare minimum and it was as if he had never altered a suit before. This should've been the red flag warning me to take my suit and walk out the door. Ultimately, I claim responsibility in making a poor choice in trusting Edris with my wedding suit. However, he is accountable for destroying my suit AND - the cherry on top - leaving a blood stain on the inside of my jacket. He didn't disclose that information nor did he even make an attempt to clean it when I picked it up. And ot course, I didn't notice it until I flew back home and tried it on for my family to see. This was absolutely disturbing and I was appalled that someone who calls themselves a professional didn't even try to fix or mitigate this risky and hazardous mistake. Edris ruined and destroyed my suit with his lousy alterations. Rather than doing what I had asked and what was agreed upon (to have my pants shortened/hemmed from the bottom and to have my jacket shortened & form-fitted so it didn't look so baggy), he made unauthorized alterations. Instead of hemming them from the bottom, he shortened my pants from the crotch/inseam. So much so, that when I tried them on, the seat rode up my buttocks and the pants were incredibly uncomfortable. As a professional, who does that?!? There's no worse thing than to have a wedding suit destroyed and made unwearable, and that was the experience I had after taking my suit to B Street Cleaners. Also, if you happen to be someone in the LGBTQ+ community, I STRONGLY encourage you to go elsewhere, as you may face the risk of having your clothing intentionally ruined. I don't understand how a business that has HUNDREDS of five-star reviews, produces this kind of horrible work and service. Please save yourself the headache, the heartbreak, and from being ripped off/scammed. There are plenty of other tailors out there who will grant you your monies worth, and adjust your clothing to fit your form and make look beautiful.

In this situation though, I unfortunately believe that a negative review is fully warranted. I have been going to fifth Avenue cleaners for years and used their fluff and fold services as well as the dry cleaning services more times than I can count. I never had an issue until today. I have a wool blanket that I have had dry cleaned there before. Since the blanket is wool and it is an expensive blanket, I get it dry cleaned instead of trying to put it in the washer and dryer because I know that that will ruin the blanket. This blanket got a stain on it - as well as cat hair. I brought it in to get it dry cleaned- and they literally told me that they could not dry cleaned the blanket and I would have to get the stain out myself before they even tried. Isn't that why you bring something to dry cleaning? To get something professionally cleaned, especially if there is a stain? I would have totally understood if the stain did not come out completely, but to say that I would have to get the stain out myself and then bring it to them afterwards made absolutely zero sense. And to be clear, I was not misunderstanding the situation, I was literally instructed to try to remove the stain myself before bringing it in to get dry cleaned. I asked if they had any recommendations of what cleaning products I could use to not ruin the wool, and they said no. Also, this blankets specific washing instructions state that it must be dry cleaned. So that's all I was trying to do! I took it to North Park cleaners, who removed the stain and dry cleaned the blanket for $25 no issue. When I have taken this blanket to Fifth Avenue cleaners in the past, they charged me $60 and that was just to have it cleaned, no stain removal even! I just find it odd that a dry cleaner would tell me that I need to get this stain out myself and then bring it to them to be dry cleaned - and also tell me that they have no idea what product I could possibly even use.
