Loved my lunch here! I asked for a recommendation and the Frogman brisket sandwich with onion rings on top and provolone was awesome! (About $9) extremely tender brisket, crunchy onion rings, fluffy bun. I didn't order a side and the amount of food was perfect for me. They offer incredible baked beans with chunks of burnt ends and other bbq flavors. Not your typical sweet beans! Other sides available were slaw, Mac n cheese, onion rings, fries. There was meat by the pound, smoked wings, pork or chicken nachos, other sandwich choices, and sausages. Everything looked and smelled wonderful! Barbecue doesn't have any smoke taste. It reminds me of being cooked in an oven color greens were the worst I've ever had in my life. greens had no vinegar taste no pork had like a sweet barbecue sauce added total garbage. And left the big stems in there wow. when you go into a restaurant and they tell you that it's slow but they're running out of ribs and it's 5 o'clock there's a problem. That's why you're slow because you can't judge how much to cook good luck you made it five years I don't think you'll make it five more. read more

Have heard for a while that this place has the best BBQ in the area and boy do they ever. My wife and I got there just after they opened. We were welcomed with a friendly greeting. I ordered the judges plate and my wife got the nachos. Sides of Mac n chz, spicy coleslaw, and sweet potato crunch. Everything - and I mean everything - was INCREDIBLE. Ribs were some of the best I've had anywhere and honestly the same for the rest of the meats I got. Brisket was to die for, the sausage was just unreal and the pork medallions may have been the star of the show. What a fantastic experience and I can't wait to come back again. I can't believe I've wasted several years driving past their location to only now find out how unbelievable this BBQ is. They have certainly earned their numerous competition Grand Champion awards, and it comes through in the food and experience, even though we had take out. I had the Frog Platter, giving a sample of ribs, pulled pork, and hot link sausage. Sausage was smoky, spicy, and filled with cheese I think... I rarely get this but thought it was great. Pulled pork was juicy and full of flavor. Ribs were the best I've ever had. I've been trying my hand at ribs this year, and realize how far from the mark I am - these were simply outstanding. The banana pudding was great. Trust me, the wife is a connoisseur of banana pudding and she endorses it! Looking forward to returning and trying the Frog Man Sandwich. read more

This place was excellent. I was greeted within seconds of entering the door and the hostess was very polite and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. Plenty of space for seating and a bar around the backside of the front register. They also have a patio for outside dining. I placed a take out order for a prime rib brisket sandwich which came on Texas toast, a side of collard greens, a side of Mac and cheese and a drink. My total was $17.43, before tipping. The food was delivered surprisingly fast! Everything was hot and seasoned well. I ordered the house bbq sauce and the mustard vinegar sauce which I thought I would need, but to be honest I could have eaten the whole sandwich without a sauce.. it was just that good. The brisket sandwich at SBH is the best you'll ever find. The brisket is the best I've ever tasted, literally melts in your mouth. Brisket sandwich comes with melted provolone cheese on what looks like grilled cheese white bread. Fries as a side were on point as well. I am in town for a soccer tournament and dined there with a group of 15 or so. Every single person agreed it's some of the best BBQ food they've had. Service was top notch and food came quickly. We will visit again next time we're in Greenville! read more

They don't skimp on the meat here. Very satisfying sandwich. I put some of their Sweet Sauce on it and man that just really complimented it. My s/o put the House Sauce on it and really enjoyed it. From the onion rings to the beans to the mac and cheese- I was in a bbq palace. I think the beans are going to be you either like them or you don't. I liked them however my s/o didn't. In the greater Greenville area, there are 3 small independently-owned BBQ places that really set the standard for great brisket. After all, just about anybody can do pulled pork, but when you ask about competition-style BBQ, in my mind, the bar is set by the quality of brisket. SBH sets itself apart from the other two in the leader pack by two things- Sunday hours (right now open til 3), and Fried Pork Tenderloin. After searching for literally years, I found Midwest-style breaded tenderloin! Just as it should be, the pork sandwich meat dwarfed the bun, folding it in half made a great double meat sandwich! It was so good, I discovered it one Sunday and came back during the same week for another. I have to admit the first try was a little well done in the fryer, and the spices in the batter a little strong. The second time was absolutely perfect in every way. Served Midwest-style (that's mayonnaise, onion and pickle, obvs) I was nearly transported back to my summer visit to the Indiana State Fair. Here the butterflied Pork Loin is battered in oyster cracker dressing and deep fried for $9.89. Add $4.69 for side and drink- the house-made onion rings are worth the .50 up charge. The staff is incredibly courteous and welcoming. When I was so pleased to be able to get a Pork Tenderloin, they immediately said, "Where in the Midwest are you from?". WOW where to start. I have ate at over 300 bbq places over the past years all over the USA along with my bbq. This is by a mile the best BBQ I have ever had hands down the fat lady has sang. I had mac&cheese, sliced brisket, hot link and beans. I did have my doubts about this place when I walked in the door and saw a clean bright BBQ joint, not the usual dark dusty cluttered BBQ joint. So let's start with the mac&cheese it was perfect hot cheesy sexiness over pasta that you will ever find. The beans are just wow I saw awards up for there beans so I gave them a shot. HOT DAM they should out law these beans, it is not fair to the rest of the world who will never be able to compete with these beans. The hot link was perfect great flavor and consistency. Just the right amount of bite with little bits of cheese mixed in. Ok time for the holy grail (IMO) the brisket. The dry rub they they use is great it adds flavor without covering up the amazing flavor of the brisket itself. I feel the best way to eat brisket is sliced that is were you are going to get the most complete bite of the brisket as well as seeing that all important smoke ring, not pulled or shredded. The problem with sliced brisket is if you dont cook it right and you serve it sliced you get dried up jerky. This brisket was sliced had perfect smoke ring and was still moist. I love the amount of fat cap they left of. I ended up with about 3/8" fat cap on my cooked brisket. You can not find a more perfect sliced brisket in the United States. Thank you for being amazing masters of the BBQ craft. One side note I love potato salad with BBQ wish you guys offers it, I know with the bar that you set with all the other food it would be a top notch potato salad. read more

I am a Christian and BBQ lover, when I bowed to pray over my food I felt a level of gratitude that I rarely feel for food. We got the championship platter which feeds 3 to 4 people. I have no words for how good it was. This is hands-down the best barbecue I've ever had at a restaurant. The half chicken will blow your mind.
