I was in Dallas for a few days visiting family, and they took us to Scrambler Café... what a great place! It's tucked inside a shopping mall, but don't let that fool you, this spot is perfect for a laid-back indoor breakfast or brunch. Our waitress was super friendly, and we got our food way faster than expected (bonus points!). We tried the eggs Benedict and the avocado lox toast, and wow--both were absolutely delicious. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautifully plated. If you're in the area and craving a solid brunch, Scrambler Café is definitely worth a stop!

Huevos rancheros. The service was fantastic but the end result for this meal came up short. Very clean and bright restaurant with nice decor. We will come back for a different meal.

We've been coming here every since they opened this location. We stopped by since my boyfriend loves breakfast, and we were looking for a regular spot to go to, and we definitely found it! Stepping into the restaurant, the owners Art (not sure I spelled his name right) and Tim were so welcoming, and we loved saying, "Hi!" every time! It's truly what brought us to come back every weekend and we really miss them! It seems like they're busy opening up their new spots, and there are some new friendly faces now, but we love them too! We truly feel welcome every time we stop by. The food is always so quick to come out, and the service is impeccable. We have always had a fantastic breakfast, and we also leave feeling full and happy. It's truly the best way to start your day.

Love this place. Nice, clean, spacious, amazing staff. I hate I can't remember my waitresses name but she was the sweetest! Very helpful and patient seeing that this was my first time. Food was delicious and fresh!

By far my favorite breakfast place at the moment when I wake up fully refreshed after a full night's sleep and looking to eat uppity. The opposite being a certain waffle place when I've been out all night and looking to eat ratchety. But I digress. Love the atmosphere, from the moment you walk in and you feel like you're walking on water, and no, it's not because my name is Jesus.....look at the floor, you'll know what I mean. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. Now to the good stuff. This is the first place I've been to where I've had breakfast tacos where the corn tortillas were lightly fried, enhancing the flavor, and elevating the taco to a different level from what you're normally used to. I do this at home with our breakfast tacos and it's the only way to have corn tortilla breakfast tacos, so that was a pleasant surprise. The chicken carnitas and chorizo were very flavorful and complimented well with the citrus of the pico, balanced out with the creaminess of the sour cream and the nutty notes of the guacamole. I'm sorry....I must have thought I was writing for Bon Apetite there for a minute. The tacos were delish! How's that for summarizing? We also had the avocado Benny's, which were really good. Ended it with a shared plate of cinnamon bread French toast. Not a cinnamon fan here, but the fruit, powdered sugar and syrup really made this a superb plate of pain perdu (look it up and learn a couple of Pepe Le Pew words for the day). All in all, will be back for thirds and beyond!

canned corned beef hash. no thank you!

used to be my favorite breakfast spot near my house. today may have been of off day, the eggs were dry way overcooked and lacked any seasoning and the corned beef hash was canned...really canned? yes. the only saving grace was the server was really attentive the hollandaise I bought extra was good and the toast was good. could not eat my meal though it was not good at all

A lovely café for breakfast or lunch. The place overall was extremely clean and just had cute decor and a nice vibe. Our server was super friendly and came by multiple times to check on us. He did forget to refill our coffee once so just a small note. The food was delicious! I loved my scrambler and the biscuit was so good. My wife loved her tacos and said the verde salsa with them was great. Overall extremely satisfied and there were many options on the menu to try. Prices were a little higher than normal so you can definitely find a cheaper cafe if desired but the food quality probably won't match.

Second breakfast place we tried in the area. Also in second place. Beautifully decorated and inviting space. Good and friendly service. Good food, just short of great. For example, the chicken fried steak here has a breading that goes soggy under gravy. The other (the eyes of...) cafe has breading that doesn't do that. Pancakes here are above average, but just a touch short of truly fluffy. Monte Cristo has good but short of egging. And so on. So much here is very good, but it could easily be great with a little more finesse and effort in the kitchen. That said, we would return.

Trying out this cute little breakfast spot. Great location off Preston in shopping strip with good parking. Service was great and breakfast was delicious. Hearty serving sizes and great flavor.

Avocado Toast (Note: Avocado is very citrus, lime/lemon taste)

Really enjoyed! It was really busy but we were able to get seated, order and be out of the restaurant pretty quickly! The prices were very reasonable and the food itself was yummy! I got an iced vanilla latte and it was so good- the perfect balance of sweet and "bitter" coffee. Food wise I got the Avocado toast, I was personally disappointed because the menu didn't state that the avocado would be lemon/limey- so it was very citrusy. I'm not a big citrus person so it was hard for me to eat it. But overall it was good and my partner really enjoyed it when he tried it. He got the Meat lover skillet and it was really yummy! I enjoyed that. Overall it was a good experience! Cannot complain here.

I don't know why we haven't been here before! The place is a little hidden, but it's worth looking for. Let me start talking about the decor; it's clean, modern, and well thought out. Our food came perfectly and very fast, my cup of coffee was never empty, and our server was attentive, and friendly, checking on us regularly. We definitely recommend the Scrambler. We need to come back to try the extensive menu!

    Traditional Breakfast

Scrambler Cafe is a good value. The establishment is still new and the entire team was very welcoming and friendly. Upon walking in, however, there was a odor in the air- it was dry drain. I couldn't help but immediately be a bit turned off by this. But, I had been wanting to try this place and eventually I acclimated to it. I had the Traditional Breakfast which was a good sampling of eggs, hash browns, choice of meat and pancakes. The food came out in less than 5 minutes- which was really impressive. Now, different parts of the meal warrant different ratings. The eggs and pancakes on my dish were definitely 4 stars, but the bacon more of an average 3 star rating and the hash browns a 2 star. Overall, the food is still a great value at $10.99 for the Traditional Breakfast. The employees here seem to have high morale and enjoy working here. It's a cheery atmosphere and they play great music! Overall, the food is a good price and aside from the unpleasant odor in the air, which is something that should be easily remedied, the meal was very pleasant. Will definitely be back!

Basic breakfast spot with not-so-basic food (superb and served hot!), service (friendly and fast!), and atmosphere (clean and cozy!). I had a sweet tooth combo, which included both sweet and savory items. Since I'm a lover of all things breakfast I was excited to see several options where I can get a taste of different items. Everything I was served was tasty and cooked to order. My husband ordered the Hash Stack and he said it was fine. Personally I can't wait to get back and try more from the menu. Our server, Heidi, was upbeat and prompt. She checked our order a few times to ensure it was correct, which is much preferred to the alternative - a wrong order arriving to the table. We both had coffee and the entire team pitched in with warm ups and refills. We also had a visit from the manager to check in on things. I really appreciated that the whole staff was wearing face masks and keeping things clean! The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol as far as we can tell so it definitely falls squarely into the breakfast category rather than brunch. Also, we haven't tested the availability or speed of WiFi which is a typical requirement for us as we often work from these types of spots. Finally, I do hope that they put tables outside for the nicer weather! Overall I'm excited to welcome Scrambler Cafe to the neighborhood and look forward to coming back - as soon as next week! Would definitely recommend for a breakfast spot.

Cut into it and that runny yolk pours right over the warm corned beef, adding an extra layer of rich, creamy goodness. Messy in exactly the right way. We also had the liver pâté and egg salad, along with the classic pickles and crunchy bagel chips. Everything tasted fresh, generous, and exactly like a great old-school deli meal should. There are plenty of places to get a sandwich in Dallas, but when it comes to this kind of deli food, Deli News is hard to beat. Great portions, great flavors, and food that makes you want to come back before you've even finished lunch. That corned beef, egg, and runny yolk combination alone is worth the trip. Cannot beat it anywhere in Dallas.

First, the spot is actually really cozy and has a well-maintained neighborhood vibe. It's self-seating so we picked a spot near the huge flatscreen so we could also watch a little television. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is HUGE, so maybe study it a bit to cut down on decision fatigue. I was initially torn between a breakfast plate and the cheese blintzes. I figured, why not go with the blintzes, because you don't really see as an option much these days. I also got a side of cherry compote and orange juice. The orange juice was nice and pulpy. As for the cheese blintzes and the cherry compote- I think I could've done without it- it made it too sweet. But, it was served in the side, so iI just didn't eat much of it. The blintzes themselves were very good and definitely had a very gratifying texture. Slightly sweet on their own, but not too much. My husband had the franks and beans. I didn't try them, but I did snag a French fry and it was very good- golden and perfectly crispy with a piping hot soft center. Prices were a bit steep, but this is a neighborhood restaurant and iI think it's always good to support locally when you can. Goodness knows, prices for goods is high and labor is not cheap. Overall, I would definitely consider coming here again, but this time I would like to try one of their breakfast plates to get a better baseline.
