I was not pleased that it took two months to repair my gas range. There were six service calls between two different technicians. The first technician did not completely repair my range and he did not report that more parts needed to be ordered. The second technician was better but he couldn't figure out the problem right away. I don't feel its a good value to pay almost $60/month and then have to pay a $100 fee to schedule service. I spent a lot of my time waiting on the technicians to arrive. read more

My wife was with the technician, so when I got home and see that the bottom plate cover and some sound reducing insulation is laying on top of my counter along with the discarded parts from the repair it really frustrated me. I called sears repair for a microwave that was not heating properly. I had three technicians come by my home for repair. The first confirmed magnetron was not working properly any longer and he replaced it. But before he left we tried the device and it still did not heat. He advised a new technician come by because he had closed ticket. I had new technician come by he confirmed device was inoperable still and that when you change the magentron the diode needs changing as well he left without service but ordered both parts for the next technician. The last technician installed the parts from the previous order; however after install while testing his install the microwave sparked and caught a fire inside. The technician was kind of like "O WELL", "you need to contact another technician to see if this is a replacement issue now." I asked for a supervisor because the microwave was only not getting hot; but sparking flames and smoking. I am awaiting a call from upper management for a microwave replacement at the moment. This last event happened on July 3. So all the food that I had planned on cooking for the holidays was postponed. I am beyond dissatisfied, disappointed and even disgusted with having service three times and microwave went from not heating to now not working and on fire, as of today I am waiting to hear back regarding replacement of my microwave. My actual technician did a great job. However your system leaves much to be desired. When the technician orders the part and we are required to make an appointment, your computerized system doesn't give an option to say that the part has been delivered. I am pleased to say that Ron was extremely friendly and service oriented. He called me prior to traveling to my home to ensure I had received the part that was needed for my dryer. I told him that I hadn't received it yet, and that it was out for delivery. first, the repair rep told me there was nothing wrong with my dryer, and then it had been running for 16 minutes and I was probably putting in too many clothes. Then the dryer stopped, and he was able to see that something indeed was wrong with it. He then proceeded to tell me ( without taking the dryer apart doing anything other than opening the dryer door) that the "sensor was dirty as a result incorrectly, identifying that my clothes were dry when they were not. and that's why the dryer would stop after only a few minutes. when I questioned him and said that doesn't explain why the dryer drum is not turning. He then agreed to open the dryer and look inside. Which he then felt the motor said it was warm and said I needed a new motor for $700. not sure how he misdiagnosed the dryer three times in addition to automatically an initially blaming user error". when I told him I needed to discuss it with my husband to see if we wanted to repair the dryer or buy a new dryer. He got very upset that I would not decline the repair or accept the repair as I told him I needed to make a decision with my husband. He then stated he would write refusal to sign. I have since called the repair center and have spoke with Adam who stated he would not refund the service call. Sears Home Services was hired by my home warranty company to fix my refrigerator. The technician called when he was on the way and told me the amount of my deductible (as if I didn't know). Upon entering the house, he asked me how I wanted to pay. I took care of the payment. Then he looked at the refrigerator. He couldn't decide if it was a fan or the control board. He said he had a board on his truck. He looked then said he did not have the board. He said the parts would be ordered and gave me an appointment 6 days later. The day came and went, no communication, no repairs. I contacted the warranty company and all they could say was the parts weren't in. I requested a tracking number 24 hours later, no tracking info, no new repair date. I even tried Sears' chat to get info and it said they had no account despite I was staring at an email with my name, address, phone number, email and order number. I searched for the parts and can have them in 2 days. Sears has shown no urgency to communicate much less fix my refrigerator but they certainly showed urgency in taking my money. I wouldn't recommend this service to an enemy, please don't waste your money, BTW I have now been without a refrigerator for 8 days. read more

Service tech was not very friendly. I tried to ask him questions on what I could do to prevent happened to my dryer and his analogies weren't helpful at all. He then told me he didn't like to talk and asked if I would move to the other room so he could do his work. The experience with Sears in general was not good. The first tech came out and realized he didn't have the parts on hand so he ordered the via Amazon and had them scheduled to be sent to my house so they would get to me sooner so the next tech could come out and fix the dryer. the next tech came out to fix the dryer a few days later thinking the part would already be delivered. Unfortunately the part was delivered to the wrong address and know one from Sears could figure out where they were or when they would arrive or what the tracking number was. The original tech had called me so I was able to send him a message and ask for the tracking number. He finally responded and told me the part was deceivered by send me a screenshot of the box at a front door. Unfortunately he had put the wrong address where it needed to be deliverered. First, I'll say that almost all of the repair technicians have been professional and friendly. However, they don't appear to be able to fix an issue on the first (second, third, ...) visit. Just a one-time issue? No, mam and no, sir. They've been out to fix 5 different appliances, and never once have they been fixed the first time, and two were not repaired at all. Let's talk about the 7am to 6pm window. That's called an entire day. Do you work? Rest assured you'll be taking more than 1 PTO day to address your appliance concern. Even better, when your repair technician asks you if you're sure you know how to work your washing machine (that you've been using for years). Anyway, I could go on. Just make sure to do your research and read the reviews before making a decision for a repair company /service. *Note that A & E services has been contracted by Sears to do repairs. Only 4 star because we had an appointment on the 3rd and he never showed up nor called or text to let me know he was not going to come that day rescheduled it for the 8th of the month which was the following Monday. I don't work so thankfully I didn't miss a day of pay but if I did work outside of my home I would have been extremely upset and he would have received a one star for that because everyone has to make a living just like they do. NEVER EVER EVER purchase any kind of appliances from SEARS. The customer service is HORRIBLE. I purchased a Kenmore Dryer about a year ago. The dryer is currently not working. I reached out to the appliance repair department when the dryer stopped working and the system was down. Their system was down for about 2 to 3 weeks so I was unable to schedule a service appointment. After several frustrated phone calls, I was finally able to get a technician scheduled. The technician ordered a control board for my dryer. I received a text stating my control board will be delivered to my house and a technician would come to install it on July 17, 2021. I called Sears to confirm the status of my order and after being transferred to 7 different people, I was told that they have no record of my order in the system. WTF! I will never step foot in any SEARS ever again. I would advise you NOT to as well. read more
