The technician came and the washing machine was already working. However he did say that he fixed it temporarily because the door won't stay closed, and that stops the washing machine from starting. I requested a service on my kenmore refrigerator back In July. The first technician told me that they didn't have the part in stock that I would have to order it so I did he walked me through the process and I paid the 690 something for the part. He told me that he would reschedule me after I get the part to the house and I told him okay. The part came and another technician named Raymond came to install it he told me that the part we ordered wasn't the issue that the part I need is discontinued to get it somewhere else he send me a picture of the refund for the part that i ordered and Raymond took the part with him. Fastfoward to today I haven't received my refund of 680 dollars. I've called several time to sears and all they can tell me is that they refund me after 7 days, the 7th day comes and nothing. The tech arrived after a previous day cancellation on Sears side. Previously schedule the day before then canceled 30 minutes before the scheduled window closed without notification. Tech called me said he has 5 stops definitely won't be able to make and was not sure why dispatch never reached out. which is alarming I literally received 6 automated calls confirming the appointment 0 for cancellation. Ask the tech for a number to speak to live person he gives me a sears mattress number. Nonetheless tech that arrived at my residence was fine discovered simple issu took him no more than 30 minutes only to discover a sock was stuck in my motor. I mentioned to him about the 10% discount I was offered for rescheduling he disregarded the charged me $107.00. I would be hard press to ever use Sears Home Service in the future. read more

Not to mention I did not receive any notification he was on his way. He was at my home for less than 5 minutes and proceed to stay in his can another 20 ish minutes. This has been a terrible experience. The technician was dispatched through choice home warranty. A&E (company that dispatched him) says the technician told them that he never received approval to proceed with repairs (which he did) and closed my service order. The same day, I was provided with details from the technician that he ordered parts that were supposed to be here yesterday (and they were not). Calling Sears, I had to wait on the phone for 1 hour to speak to someone who basically transferred me to A&E, who advised that I have to go back to my warranty company in order to get my service order reopened. Whole time, I'm now without my refrigerator for 8 days. This has been a terrible experience and I'm rethinking my home warranty provider at this time, if this is the only company that they can call to fix my refrigerator. Very responsive. The techs were quickly able to problem solve. The problem was severed wires due to poor design at the foot of the door which caused the ice make to not work. They got the job done. Very expensive for soldering wires. This should have costs less than $150. I paid almost $400. read more

I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday 03/30/21 for a Technician to do a diagnosis on my Samsung Dryer. I took the day off work so I could be home when the technician arrived. I had an appointment window from 8am to 12pm. At 10:18am I got an update that The technician would arrive between 12:01pm to 1:31pm. Then at 12:23pm, I get an email that the technician arrived but no one was home and that he had left, attached in the email is a picture of the incorrect House on the wrong street. I contacted Sears Home Services to have the Technician call me so I could guide him to the right address, but the said he would not be able to make it back out today and would have to come back on Thursday. I explained that He should still be in the area, and can make it back to my house within the updated appointment time (12:01pm to 1:31pm) but was told that they were unable to contact him. All in all, poor customer service, and unwillingness to correct a mistake they made. After contacting Sears Home Services, and writing this review, it is 1:02pm (still within my appointment time) I would urge everyone to do business with any company other than Sears Home Services. read more

Overall, the repairman was very polite! Your tracking system (through the app) showed approximate arrival time was 9:47 am and actual arrival was 3 pm and never revise (in the app). The repair,an said that I needed a fuel pump and another part. He said that you did not have them and he MAY be able to order it with no estimated delivery date. I decided not to proceed. When got the charge it was $139 (which I was made aware of and $11.47 labor charge (which I was NOT aware of). I would like to emphasize that the employee was very polite! Called to repair my washer. First tech diagnosed and said I need a Thermistor. Waited for the part, another tech came out and installed. Still did not work. He says I needed a $350.00 control board. I said OK, waited for the part, came out and installed. Still not working. The response was " we do not know what is wrong with it. We cannot fix it." $650.00 later, they say they will refund the money. Two weeks later I call to check status, and they say no refund was ordered. So I had to do that. Give us 10 to 14 days they said. 17 days later I called to check status. "It is still in billing under review" I am told. Give us 10 to 14 days. Sears and Montgomery Wards were always go to companies. Now, without Wards, I guess I lose Sears as a reputable go to company. Great. read more

Service repair company poorly informed regarding previous service visits history. They make it impossible to reach a representative that speaks English well. Dishwasher was not working day after purchased from Lowe's. Warranty company A&E took 2 weeks to get out there. Tech looks under the sink and sees the drain line not elevated and then STOPPED! Said he'd have to charge me over $200 just pull the drain hose up and wouldn't even start the machine to try and diagnose the problem. Talking to service person and he was very aggressive. We had an opportunity to clean up debris from under the washer right before he was completed. He basically told me I can do it myself later and washer isn't heavy. I don't like leaving a messy work area and just because it us under the washer shouldn't be an excuse to not leave the condition of your work in better condition. Mark is BY FAR the best appliance technician I have had in years! He called to give me a heads up that he would be here in 3 hours, then texted to say he would arrive in 45 minutes. He immediately diagnosed two problems my new Frigidaire dishwasher has had since installation. The original Lowes installer tied tight wire plastic ties around the neck of dishwasher drain line under the sink, keeping water from flowing and causing code i20 mid-cycle every load. He also ran the rinse-only cycle and saw all the soap at the bottom of dishwasher at end of cycle. He said my whole house water softener was the issue. It required only 2TBP of powder or liquid dishwasher soap. The Cascade and Finish pods I was using are too concentrated for my water softened water to rinse. Mark did this in 15 minutes. HE IS FABULOUS! The charge was only $139. I wish he could fix the my refrigerator and stove vent!! read more
