Had one representative come, diagnose the error, and order the part. We set a separate appt to come for installation. No one came to the set appointment. I called, they said they were on their way, but no one came. I called and they rescheduled twice. Still no one came. After that, no calls. I fixed the appliance myself. HOWEVER, they still charged me 300+ dollars! For installation of a $5 part! I am bringing up this dispute with my credit card company. But please beware, they may be scamming you. read more

Horrible warranty service, there is no value for the warranty you're paying for. Quality of service is not acceptable. The technicians don't even pass notes or repair history to each other. They don't have parts to do necessary check i.e. internal pressure leak checks. It has been 15 days since my last "repair" and already had to call them back. I've been a frequent user of Sears Appliance Repair Services - multiple times, over the years. For this most recent job, the repair fellow, Marcos, was brilliant, and did an awesome job in under an hour. Sears - however - has recently made it impossible to reach them by phone. Everything is now automated, they don't give you the correct arrival time (it keeps changing throughout the day), AND, THEY RIDICULOUSLY OVERCHARGE for their labor fee by they hour. Would give 1/2 star if that was an option. Ice maker failed on Kenmore fridge. Technician came out and diagnosed as broken. He ordered new ice maker and was shipped to my house. New technician came out and installed new ice maker about a week later. I watched him install the new part and it didn't appear to work. Make loud cracking noises and he could not get water to fill the tray. But he said it worked fine and give it 24 hours. When I stepped in to another room briefly, he packed up and left. Ice maker still inop. Different tech came out a few days later and said the new unit was bad and questioned why the previous tech didn't recognize this. He too ordered a new ice maker after having to get supervisor approval but when I call to check or look on SHS web site, there is no record of a part ordered and that the order/repair is complete. No communication from SHS about the follow up repair. To be fair, I will wait a few more days for the repair to "the original repair" to be completed. If not then I will cancel the CC charge for $400+ then call another repair service. Not planning to use SHS again. read more

The technician left my washer with water. The 1st technician drained everything and order a part. The second one when he finally put the part ordered he called me and said "ma'm I'm done." I asked if it was working and he said yes. I asked, are you sure? Then, I explained again the problem in order to make sure that it was going to work. Minutes later he said he needed to call home warranty to report something else, which is completely confusing since he said it was working. And all of sudden is was not working. My dishwasher is worse than what it was. All he needed to do was change the motor and make sure it ran. He left without any update or reassurance. He just said he's done and it's good to go. later that evening the bottom pieces on my dishwasher fell off And it's padding and some metal strip that looks very important. read more

wish I could give zero or minus zeros. i requested service for my washing machine. The agent I spoke to was eating and barely coherent. she had my old address and model so I went through the process with her of updating everything. Today the repairman called me from my old house. I gave him the new address but apparently he can't go to a different address, even though the new house is within walking distance of the old one. Since there is no way to talk to a person once your appointment is set (tried multi numbers and ways) I told him I'm sorry that we both wasted our time. Called them on October 9 to come look at my refrigerator. Repairman came on October 11 and said they needed to order parts. Reschedule was set for October 28, 17 days later. They charged me $1000 for the parts in advance. Parts didn't show up on time and neither did the repairman since I didn't confirm receipt of the parts when they called. Parts did show up on 10/28, but it was it was entirely on me to call them and reschedule. Finally figured out that process - it's all automated with no humans. Got an appointment for Wednesday 11/2 and at the end of the day I got an text that it had been rescheduled to Thursday 11/3. No call, no nothing. Just a text at 5:00 in the afternoon. Repairman never shows up on Thursday. I had to reschedule it again - on my own initiative - for Friday. Guy shows up early afternoon Friday and says he needs to go get some refrigerant and he'll right back shortly to finish it. Never comes back and we never get any kind of notification from Sears. Manage to get into a "live chat" with a "real person" on Monday morning 11/7. He confirms the refrigerant issue and says they can come back on Wednesday 11/9, you know, between 8:00 and 5:00. A month later after I first called. When I tell him it needs to be sooner and that I've been jerked around too long, he goes ahead and schedules the Wednesday appointment (I got an automated text) and then hangs up on me (ie leaves the chat). Doesn't apologize, doesn't do anything to make this happen any faster, I used to like this company but this is ridiculous. Be very careful dealing with them. They are unreliable and the customer service is terrible. read more
